I feel like killing someone right now
I kinda wished she killed herself, he found out and killed himself once he realised how much of a piece of shit he was.
I haven't felt so much anger in a long while.
I was fucking fine with then, over time i didin't dislike her has much once it started to show their daily lives, and i understood what the biker dude did for her, but this? Why? Just fucking why, do you have to inject this disgusting piece of drama at the very fucking end? I'm reading the last chapter right now, but i'm still boiling. 2 years? For fucks sake. I actually wanted to see him despair a bit, it skiped straight to him being ok with it.
I've read quite a few manga with the authors injecting extremely stupid drama right before the series ends. it does get quite a bit rage-inducing to read, but in the end, we still read it anyway.
WHAT THE FUCK! HE QUIT HIS FUCKING JOB AFTER ALL THIS FUCKING SHIT?
I was actually starting to like this, their lives and dynamic actually worked a lot without all the drama and facing actualy problems that might arise with growing up, but this last bit of drama, just, fucking destroyed any love i had for this, not that i had much left after the trainwreck.
>Asuka somehow goes pro baseball even though author made it seem like she was not that great and was struggling to find peace with that
>Everyone gets to have their dream job life
It was going so well, i was actually starting to see some semblance of realism in the characters, everyone facing their own struggles, but moving foward, but then this had to happen. Him breaking off his job after all this just feels like a last fuck you for reading this.
I feel violated. The journey wasn't worth the destination.
Also, based on the thread i did yesterday, it seems he does this for every single one of his works? Is that true? cause if so i'm not touching another one of his mangas.
Yeah, so it's still drama bullshit? No thanks.
Why the fuck does he do that? He was doing such a great job showing their daily lifes after he broke up with Asuka, it was an extremely asshole move, but after that i was actually starting to enjoy the whole story dynamic, and he knows how to make the story show some form of realism, even if it was still filled with some gag characters like miss thinks everything is innuendo, and the girl that thought Haruto liked her and misunderstood everything.
His work was so much more enjoyable without the drama honestly.
Does he just enjoy giving people despair?
Kimi no Iru Machi
I read it out of curiosity yesteday, has 262 chapters. Stars off ok, goes trainwreck, the train had a nuke inside it, radiation wears off, it actually starts to become decent, and then years later the other nuke that was on board the train blows up and fucks everything up, but somehow, everyone turns out ok.
Do not do the same mistake i did, it's not worth the read.
Go read it then, if you don't like drama or romance you'll probably get bored though.
Don't come complaining once you notice it was not worth it.
Read the thread, i'm the guys posting the random chapter pages and comenting along. I was reading though but i got so fucking mad when it happened i just had to bitch about it here.
that was such a satisfying moment
>Became one of the best players in her sport
I guess Asuka got a good end
Again, i am the OP and
And some other posts.
I got really mad and decided to post along while i read the ending. And while it did get a bad end It was a fucking retarded way to go about it, especially how quits his fucking job and everyone somehow gets to follow their dreams all ok.
Princess Lucia is for the most part an innocuous piece of fluff. There's practically no drama.
It can be annoying in its own way, but usually not in the same was as Kimi Machi.
It's mostly just played for laughs, but it's got less direction and story too.
The ending was crappy and underwhelming though, and really did annoy people
I've sort of enjoyed this trip down memory RAGE lane. Have you made any other threads apart from this and this other one ->
I wouldn't want to miss any of the fun
Honestly if i want fluff it won't be with any more of his works. I got into this out of curiosity, but after a while i read it all out of obligation and becauase i was too far gone to drop since it was alredy finished.
Like i said above the whole daily life part of the story after Asuka breakup was great, some retarded moments here and there but nothing serious, and then >>139675121 happens and the story takes a massive quality drop for the sake of drama.
"Oh hey, let me just fucking breakup with you, after everything we went though after almost fucking up everything with my friends when i dumped Asuka for you, sacrificing myself and your time for us, just because we can't think of a better way of continuing our long distance relationship". No, just fuck the mangaka.
It's even more jarring to me because i saw a incredibly long distance relationship between my sister and her boyfriend from middle school all the way after highschoo. It was like 5 fucking years, they called each and every day, they both love the same stuff, hell, he looks more like her brother and i look in terms of looks. Now they're together for real, they never fight, always lovey dovey that it's almost sickening. No, i'm not making it up.
A read along because something stupid happened? No i didn't. The only other time i did something similar was on /v/ when i was playing the last trial of danganronpa 1 because that shit was insane fun, unlike this manga.
>everyone somehow gets to follow their dreams all ok.
I thought Haruto, Yuzuki, Asuka & the blackmail mangaka chick were the only ones to do that?
I desliked then both during for a while, Eba because of the whole pity girlfriend deal with biker dude, and Haruto for dumping Asuka. The living together chapters made me like then again up until the end.
They're both fucked in the head.
Are you sure you don't want to watch the anime too?
I thought the initial falling out with Nanami rendered Haruto unsympathetic be revealing that none of his redeeming qualities were real.
Eba I never really cared for, but always felt she was a bit of a victim of the plot, so that she'd have to make decisions that'd generate drama and extend the story past its natural lifespan.
I think if anyone else was the main heroine, they'd have to do similar crap
Oh i don't doubt that, most of the drama was forced as hell. It's like the mangaka knows how to make a good growing up story with characters like he showed post Asuka, but can't keep himself from injecting stupid drama, or making characters keep to their personality after said drama needs to be injected.
Also fuck, reading hentai fluff feels so good after this bullshit.
I got hype for the fucking anime since the OVAs that came before it were great, but holy shit Gonzo you ruined it.
pretty much. It starts in the Tokyo arc with a flashback to Hiroshima, and ends just after he kicks Asuka to the curb and gets back together with Eba
>Both short-haired girls lose
>Short hair love interest gets killed in Seo's next manga
Sure Suzuka won and Fuuka2.0 will probably win but Seo has to have some subconscious hate towards tomboys.
>Suzuka doesn't really have any rage worthy moments either, but I haven't read it or thought about it in forever.
I only started posting in 2008, so I missed most of the threads, but Suzuka did have some rage(some of the oldest threads in the archive show considerable vitriol towards it).
I think the main rage points were how much of a bitch they thought Suzuka was, especially as the MC always chose her when there were plenty of other options available to him, and the surprise pregnancy ending which seemed to just toss out the athletic aspirations subplot
Nanami was one of the most feminine girls in the series, though
is naruto one of the only manga that ends with people getting to gather
I thought it was pretty dumb that she ended up with her middle school crush, who she was supposed to have gotten over years ago.
Really felt like Seo didn't know what to do with her.
Her kisses were some of my favorite chapters. I never really liked Eba, so when she did the first kiss, she was definitely my favorite girl until Akari came into the picture.
Worst chapters were the one's about Eba's family, that shitty mangaka, and other Eba-related shit. Despite all the things that made me angry about the series, I for some reason still feel fond about it. Maybe it's just the Stockholm syndrome speaking.
Seo has decent premises, and for the most part his initial characters are likable and very hot, but it's like he likes to sabotage himself and let's it all go for cheap shock value and twists.
The beginning romance stuff with Kanzaki and Eba was nice and entertaining, and he still coulld have just introduced girls along the way for hijinks. Fuuka started out as a very good love story, but Seo had to fuck that up too. It's not hard to imagine the possibilities his manga could have taken. Who knows, maybe he would ever be popular and notable if he had gone that route, but instead he's more infamous now than anything.
>there are still people experiencing SEO rage for the first time
Until Asuka* came into the picture, I meant.
I wish reading the most rage-y chapters along with /a/. By the time I was participating in threads, it was already pretty boring.
it was a pretty dumb idea, but I cared so little about the story at that point that it didn't bother me
Not him, but what's amazing is that Gonzo managed to fuck it up even more. They started at Tokyo. As in, they cut out the one good part of the manga and dropped you into the middle of the story.
