so I know for a fact this mofo right here is going to kill goku. Duh. Why wouldnt want to kill goku? better yet why not vegeta? is it his time to shine while he takes cabbe under his wing and train him to be a sayin warrior he should be
he can't kill them or he'll be disqualified.
the fight will be a shitshow because the preview already said they can't see his attacks and he's too fast.
probably means new ssj form or something.
He'll probably use a technique that will delay their death in a month.
Either that or Monaka will beat him
They still saying he is a joke because he passed out with Goku's Kamehameha in base form.
I still thinking he isnt a joke
Yeah no that's bullshit only retards believe. Either one of the following two will be the case:
>Hit has a unique ability and Monaka isn't strong but only cancells his ability out because Bills predicted Hit would participate
But that's actually a plot with way to many twists and knowing that Toryjama can only think in straight lines and not to far ahead it will probably be
>Monaka is super chill and weak 99% of the time but when pissed becomes super strong.
Either one of these two happen or he's the former god of destruction or something like that but then again that would be to good to come from current Toryjama
So we can officially say Vegeta's mirin' Gokus new form
In Resurrection of F, Goku clearly states that Vegeta surpassed him.
In Super, Goku states that Vegeta may be stronger than he is ~2:27
Its like you don't even watch the show.
>vegeta surpassed him in the movie under ONE condition only
Also you quoted the wrong movie. That's Battle of Gods.
>watching DBS movie recaps
No, I watched the movies then I started watching Champa saga. They were pretty evenly matched in Resurrection F and in the Chamber of Time and Spirit when they went in before the tournament.
There is no evidence that at the time of the tournament Vegeta is stronger than Goku, unless Hit goes and kills Bulma.
>In Super, Goku states that Vegeta may be stronger than he is ~2:27
That is when Goku first arrives on Beerus' planet to be trained by Whis. Vegeta is stronger at that point because he had been training there for half a year.
I am not saying I know either way, but it could be possible that Goku caught up again, or even surpassed Vegeta. Half a year's worth of solo training is a lot, but not an unsurmountable difference.
So, I had a dream about Hit last night, and I'm pretty sure it was prophetic, so don't read this if you don't want to get spoilered.
Basically Hits appearance in OPs pic is just a disguise he uses since he's a hitman and thus doesn't want people to know his real face. In truth he is a bishounen style looking male human. Except that it is later revealed that this was also just a disguise, and his reallly real form is that of a friendly looking, small old man about the size of Monaka. His secret is that he doesn't have any noticable physical strength, however he has the unique power of being able to manipulate the Ki of the people around him. He can use this to do all kind of inbalanced shit like simply draining all of his opponents power at will, or creating Ki blasts not from his own but from other peoples Ki. He can even use other peoples Ki to strengthen his own body so it appears as if he were actually strong.
The person who will figure this out is Gohan, who will be brought to the tournament by Whiz and after Hit won against both Vegeta and Goku, Monaka will defeat him, because Monakas Ki is extremely weak, so Hit can't do anything against him with his powers. It will be hard fought match between to fighters who are both even weaker than an average human, but in the end Monaka will prove slightly stronger and push Hit out of the arena.
Vegeta will beat him. He is superior to Goku in every way, he even rides a better dragon.
He wasn't. Read the manga gain.
Vegeta comments that Goku instead of doing regular physical training did something so clever that even he didn't think of which was making SSJ his "normal" state and thus removing the energy and stamina drain it imposes on the body.
You can be the strongest man in the unvierse but if you whimper out after your first attack due to lack of stamina and energy you might as well be the weakest.
You're also forgetting that Vegeta was strong enough to just blow Cell's body to pieces with Final Flash, same exact feat Goku does and doesn't surpass in his fight with Cell. And both of them got horribly tired after this. Goku literally says that after fucking up to kill Cell with that kamehameha he pretty much lost and swaps with Gohan.
>tfw it's officially Super Saiyan Blue
Do you think the dub will make it Super Cyan?
And you're misunderstanding something vital. Goku worked on the stamina drain, sure, and in the process also powered up greatly. It doesn't matter if you never get tired if you're simply not strong enough to hurt your opponent, and Goku was certainly much more capable of hurting Cell than Vegeta was, despite having only trained half the time.
Also, the Final Flash has more damage output than the Kamehameha. Much longer charging time too, he had to dare Cell to sit still for it.
And Gohan was even stronger than Goku, even without going SS2.
Hit's power is that his power is proportional to who he is fighting currently and always goes beyond them a little. Monaka can swith between a weak form and an extremely powerful, brutal form. Switching on and off will render Hit useless.
Or Goku goes Super Cyan 2 to win and the joke is that we never actually see Monaka fight, and his power forever remains a mystery.
Want to watch the South Korean 1990 live action movie. Is it bad enough to be entertaining?
Yeah but it was basically white to begin with.
Hit will win, he'll be awarded with that space cube that allows him to visit different universes and will try to conquer all of them. The next saga will be the main characters going from one universe to another trying to stop him.
No one cell absorbed effected his actual biology except 17 and 18, and that was by design
everything else just added to his power.
So he wouldn't change at all, just get stronger.
In fact, he probably wouldn't learn any moves either, as he seems to have only "learned" moves because of the original computer programming.
Basically, Cell, as the "perfect" being was incapable of real growth. This is why his "Zenkai" boost after being blown up only marginally powered him up.
Cell was incapable of gaining power through any real way OTHER than absorption, and was only able to reproduce powers that were used on him.
He was "perfect" but not "the best" which means he'll eventually be surpassed, no matter how much power you add to the mix.
Biological or not, he was still basically a machine.
You do realize, though, that Gohan doesn't even do any fighting in that dream ,right?
Except, by that logic, he should have been significantly stronger than Gohan
but it was very, very obvious that the only reason he was beating Gohan was because Gohan tanked that blast and wrecked his arm.
Cell basically went from just below SS2 to basically the border. At best he went up 10%
What was more troublesome for them was that he came back basically in full health, stronger than ever, and everyone else was beaten and tired.
>Except, by that logic, he should have been significantly stronger than Gohan
>but it was very, very obvious that the only reason he was beating Gohan was because Gohan tanked that blast and wrecked his arm.
Nah, he was pretty much fucking around.
>Cell basically went from just below SS2 to basically the border. At best he went up 10%
Cell went from being utterly, embarassingly WRECKED by SS2, to being stronger than SS2.
And the fact that gohan was unable to counter his attack on vegeta, and that the attack hurt him so badly shows that's the case. Cell just chucked a blast at vegeta out of irritation and Gohan almost lost his arm.
>And the fact that gohan was unable to counter his attack on vegeta, and that the attack hurt him so badly shows that's the case. Cell just chucked a blast at vegeta out of irritation and Gohan almost lost his arm.
you do realize how much energy SSJ2 sucks down, right? and that he had been in that form for awhile at that point and had been fighting?
you know, looking back at that movie, it was kind of unfair
the costume designer worked their ass off and did a relatively decent job for a lot of it.
It's not their fault the casting and writing was so awful.
For Piccolo, they were obviously pulling from King Piccolo, who went from wearing a dark blue dress and mauve cape, to a martial art onesie. Oh, and the anime had his clothes switch brightness between old and young for some reason.
They also knew that showing his arms would mean a much more extensive and expensive makeup job, so they tried to mimick the patterns with armor pads.
Set photos reveal that the director basically tinted everything and made Piccolo look pale and like he was wearing black too.
then they got a bunch of shit because their mid-transformation goku didnt look like an oozaru.
If they had an actual decent budget, I suspect the movie would have succeeded despite it's flaws, because they could have cast good actors and spent more on costume and special effects.
I don't know how they thought they could make a movie about super powered martial artists shooting laser beams at each other on a 30 million budget.
The fact that they went through 5 drafts, each time making changes because the previous was "too expensive" and that the actors involved originally thought the movie had a 100 million budget seems pretty indicative that the studio basically decided to kill it in the crib.
Also selecting Stephen Chow was a fucking idiotic mistake.
His films are great, and if this was a straight early dragon ball film (pilaf, red ribbon army) it could have worked great, even on a low budget, because there was so much comedy
but piccolo's arc wasn't comedy.
Is Buu the most forgotten character in the entire series?
I can't take him seriously at all. Every time I see his dick head...
more importantly, when do we get filler episodes of trunks and mai going on a date?
>Not once has SS2 displayed energy consumption problems in the entire series, stop making excuses
Not explicitly but it can be deduced rather easily.
First look at Kaio-Ken. That saps energy proportional to the multiplier.
Then look at when Goku and Gohan first achieved SSJ1. There was an energy drain. That's why they perfected and even said something along the lines of that.
SSJ3 is stated to have an enormous energy drain.
Gohan's SSJ2 was not perfected, so it should be very obvious that it would drain energy at a faster rate than SSJ1. He sustained the form for a long (longer than anyone else) time.
>Is Buu the most forgotten character in the entire series?
He's literally the first person Goku and Vegeta go to recruit for the universe tournament, but he fails his test and can't compete.
I guess Toriyama is tired of him.
wrong wrong wrong wrong
Jesus christ you don't know shit.
He actually overviews the manga so it's closer to his vision.
The only thing the manga suffers from is it has to fit in to a "TL;DR" format.
funny enough even Taopaipai's cyborg helmet is dick shaped like Hitto.
The manga is made by TOYOTARO
I know they sound similar but there's a clear difference you mongrels
SEE THE DIFFERENCE YET?
And it wasn't Toriyama that said manga is more accurate. It was Toyotaro that tweeted that he always runs his manga by Toriyama's original storyboards before finalizing each page.
Tao Pai Pai, Tenshinhan and Ma-Junior were the best things to come out of original DB.
Which part of "he doens't oversee it at all" do YOU not understand? There is not a single source for your claim. There is only Toyotaro's own tweet where he says he runs his own pages by Toriyama's storyboards but he says nothing about Toriyama personally overseeing jack shit.
Will we ever see this girl again? I'm sure everyone has forgotten she exists, even toriyama
>yfw Hitto just rides the cube across space like pic related
(Whis was standing on top of the cube when they were traveling so you don't need to be directly inside)
>Toriyama personally overseeing jack shit.
yeah but Toriyama even had made Toyotaro fix things and revised it.
The cherry on top of all this Toriyama even in the most recent interview talked about how it would be good to incorporate Toyotaro's plot into the series so get rekt.
I work w/Toriyama, I can also confirm that Vegeta/Goku are going to lose, Monaka wins just because he was too weak and Hit killed him because he thinks that Monaka was strong, U7 wins, Champa and Beerus start to fight because Beerus literally used Monaka as a kill-bait, in that moment Hit escapes and steals the Cube
seeing how fucking hardcore they've gone with the meme fights and meme moves and strategies - buu would have been literally the perfect character for him to use for more meme shenanigans and laughs
what a damn shame
>white enemy incoming
truffles fucking when
Its not, it will be evil Shenron from GT, this isn't a fucking joke.
The other universe will have darkened Dragon Balls, and the whole reason earth was destroyed will be they fought over the Dragon Balls. With no Goku, nobody was there to stop it, thus darkened balls.
I bet I am right too, that will piss me off.
>Which part of "he doens't oversee it at all" do YOU not understand? There is not a single source for your claim. There is only Toyotaro's own tweet where he says he runs his own pages by Toriyama's storyboards but he says nothing about Toriyama personally overseeing jack shit.
It's also mentioned in the new interview with Toriyama himself (although the wording there is overseeing each chapter while Toyotaro had said each page).
>First look at Kaio-Ken. That saps energy proportional to the multiplier.
Has NOTHING to do with SS.
>Then look at when Goku and Gohan first achieved SSJ1. There was an energy drain.
The opposite, SS was basically Kaioken x50 with no real energy drain. It was the perfect version of the Kaioken. Goku's work on the SS was more to allow them to get used to the state and eliminate the emotional turmoil of it. If he did fix some kind of energy drain, it was never an issue in the first place.
Neither base SS nor SS2 ever displayed actual energy drain issues in any fight or moment in the series. SS3 was the only one where the drain became an issue.
Regardless, Gohan was only SS2 for a few minutes during his fight with Cell and he was trashing him the whole time. Hardly enough time for a MASSIVE energy drain to happen.
Right here Toriyama confirms that he'd love Toyotaro to also incorporate his plot. This is where Toyotaro states he wants to make sure it lines up and connects to the epilogue of the series.
Just face the facts that the manga canon is better than anime canon.
I haven't noticed
have we seen kid Goten and Trunks at the tournament in the manga?
I am wondering if we're just gonna get some Goku/Vegeta + U6 guy arc, and when it's all over, we'll see aged Goten and Trunks
>SS was basically Kaioken x50 with no real energy drain.
stopped reading here. I'm not going to argue with someone who literally doesn't know what he's talking about.
>The form is the Super Saiyan state trained into a "natural" form, and removes the agitation that is present in the original Super Saiyan form, also allowing the Saiyan to easier manipulate their ki in the form and utilize it more efficiently, minimizing strain
>allowing the Saiyan to easier manipulate their ki in the form and utilize it more efficiently, minimizing strain
Strain is not Drain. And also,
Yes, Goku's "improved" SS form can arguably be said to be more energy efficient. This does not mean simply being in SS or in SS2 had some kind of energy leak that would tire out out after a couple minutes of beating on a much weaker opponent than you.
Stop making excuses, Gohan was much weaker than the revived cell.
Toriyama is literally plugging shit in and hoping it will stop the bleeding in this series.
So many plot points that would have been nice have been completely ignored.
>Goten and Trunks training to be more powerful
>Vegeta and Goku practicing fusion in case the enemy is so powerful they need it
>Mastering the super saiyan forms so it drains less energy
>Old Kai unlocking hidden potential is completely thrown away
>Vegeta going SSJ3 with all the training he did
>Piccolo ascending to a new level
I mean come on. So much shit could have been addressed but we get shitty plot direction that has Goku and Vegeta doing everything while everyone else is next to useless.
>Cell Saga including Hyperbolic Time Chamber training and Gohan struggling
Struggling to access the form and maintain it, he was literally just learning how to do it. Not the same thing at all.
>>Vegeta going SSJ3 with all the training he did
Why would he need SSJ3 when his mastered SSJ2 was stronger than Goku's shitty SSJ3?
Why would he need SSJ3 when he has Super Cyan that's infinitely more powerful and has literally no energy drawbacks?
Everything else I agree with.
And maintain as in "and not pop out of it the moment his emotions fluctuated, stupid. Goku had no issue keeping it up for
five minutesliterally the frist time he used it, and he had been fighting for a long tme already.
multiple people have posted things that prove you wrong. i'm not going to go get the exact fucking episodes or manga pages for you where they say it drains energy maintaining the transformation. it should be obvious to you that SSJ is energy intensive, otherwise Goku would have never perfected it.
If you want to believe that Cell suddenly became stronger than SSJ2 then okay. I don't care to argue with you anymore.
Just so it really hammers down that Vegeta is neck and neck with Goku. Showing how even with his declaration that Goku is better than him, his pride hasn't vanished and he has pushed himself to the limit of his power.
Honestly I am bothered Vegeta never reached SSj3 just based on principal. Guy has access to the best equipment to the world and still is a whole transformation behind Goku.
>"b-but anon SSj3 is too powerful for the planet
Explain Goku going to SSG and not destroying the planet?
>multiple people have posted things that prove you wrong.
All it boils down to is "well he SAID he wanted to reduce the strain of it".
You have literally ZERO examples of SS or SS2 having trouble with energy consumption. Even if Goku made it more energy efficient, it was not an issue that EVER came up in any fight in the series save for Trunk's "beefed up" SS.
But sure, keep pretending Gohan was running on fumes after bullying cell for all of five minutes, it'll let your husbando save face.
>Vegeta ain't Gohan or a halfling, rage doesn't buff him up.
That is literally what they show happening. He got really pissed because of Bulma. Don't act like Super has consistent writing.
>Honestly I am bothered Vegeta never reached SSj3 just based on principal. Guy has access to the best equipment to the world and still is a whole transformation behind Goku.
Wha the fuck are you on about? Vegeta surpassed Goku the second his SSJ2 made a literal GOD bleed when Goku couldn't even scratch him.
Vegeta got neck and neck with Goku the second they both unlocked Super Cyan, rendering literally all the previous transformations useless.
Literally the only reason they even used SSJ in the tournament was to gimp themselves and also hide the Cyan until last moment as a trump card.
>Not completely exhausted
He'd been fighting Freezer for many episodes and had used Kaioken x20. He was hurt and exhausted.
Everything else is true though, anon. What are you getting at?
Amusing considering Vegeta admitted Goku is better than him and is the best. I don't give a fuck about this dumb SSG shit that doesn't make any sense have the damn time.
I am talking about Z where Vegeta got the shaft and was an embarrassment. Constantly getting his shit kicked in forsaking his pride.
>Vegeta surpassed Goku the second his SSJ2 made a literal GOD bleed when Goku couldn't even scratch him.
for two punches because the god slapped his wife.
then he got his shit pushed in in 2 punches just like ssj3 goku.
>Goku and Vegeta killed off in any circunstances
>Both being the protagonists as of this moment
Nigga, if they went down, who the fuck would even replace them? Fucking Yajirobe?
Actually, that'd be interesting. You hardly know anything about that fat piece of shit. Nigga's just one random fat dude who's surprisingly good for someone who's a ronin, yet we never saw him actually training even once.
>still can continue on
>implying Goku isn't an experienced warrior who is more or less used to being tired in a fight vs Gohan who has nowhere near that experience
>>Goten and Trunks training to be more powerful
>>Vegeta and Goku practicing fusion in case the enemy is so powerful they need it
doesn't mesh with their characters. they would never do this again after vegito. GT is not canon.
>>Mastering the super saiyan forms so it drains less energy
Super Cyan has no energy drain.
>>Old Kai unlocking hidden potential is completely thrown away
Old Kai can't unlock potential that isn't there. Gohan is still Ultimate or Unlocked or Mystic or whatever you want to call him Gohan. All his potential is still in his base form--the point of unlocking--but he never trains so he has basically no potential anymore and has to resort to SSJ.
>>Vegeta going SSJ3 with all the training he did
pointless with Super Cyan
>>Piccolo ascending to a new level
This would be as much of an asspull as Super Cyan 2. There's no reason why Piccolo should be able to do this unless he goes and absorbs a million more Namekians.
>Broken inside because of Kaioken double his limit.
>Completely exhausted after all that and the Genki Dama
>Turns Super Saiyan
>Keeps it going for
five minuteswith no trouble, and keeps it up after the fight
Still pretending it has some huge energy drain
Gohan is obviously less experienced than he is, which is why he had more trouble staying transformed the first time.And... so what? What is your point? That Gohan was completely drained by SS2 after Bullying cell for a little bit just because you're desperate to prove he wasn't weaker than Super Saiyan 2 perfect Cell, but that it was TOTALLY your fanfiction's Energy Drain's fault?
>the symbolss on the clothing actually resemble the ginga patrol symbol
>Piccolo should have God ki. He has some 500 years experience as God of Earth since merging back into Nameless Namek.
Protector of Earth isn't an actual god of the universe like the Kais and God of Destruction.
Kami is just a name because he was equivalent to god to humans.
He doesn't have to justify shit when something like Super Saiyan God exists.
If an anonymous stranger over the internet triggers you this much, I'm legitimately surprised you haven't killed yourself yet.
God ki makes no sense. Kais don't even have God Ki. Beerus' position in the universe is pointless. The SSG form makes no sense. It was already stupid enough when Goku got it by holding hands and singing Kumbayah, but now vegeta got it on his own so apparently all Saiyans can just naturally become gods, fuck logic.
>Same applies to Saiyan God transformarion.
Even Raditz was stronger than Kami and Vegeta certainly could have kicked Piccolos ass when he united too.
Saiyan "false god" form is stronger because Saiyans are inherently stronger.
I'm not opposed to Piccolo getting a powerup but there doesn't seem to be an option.
>but now vegeta got it on his own so apparently all Saiyans can just naturally become gods
If they train for extended periods of time under the supergod alien that trains the "most powerful guy in the universe" then yeah maybe.
or maybe they went back to earth and did it again with vegeta as the lead. who knows.
>Goku and Vegeta are both married
>No chance we'll get more full-blooded saiyans since now there's apparently saiyan women somewhere
Disgusting race mixing
>If they train for extended periods of time under the supergod alien that trains the "most powerful guy in the universe" then yeah maybe.
Apparently Super states Vegeta did it by himself.
I get Super is sucking vegeta's dick, but there's better ways. And why isn't gohan a SSG too? I mean, they have five Saiyans and an easy, free power up, literally no reason not to give it to everyone for safety reasons.
>future trunks arrives
>has reached FPSS
>is basically Perfect Cell level
>Vegeta praises how strong he's become
>chibi Trunks sees this and gets jealous
>convinces Goten to sneak off to the RoSaT and train for 2 days/2 years
>comes out having gotten their growth spurts, and are a lot stronger than before
How would you react?
>Apparently Super states Vegeta did it by himself.
Well maybe it's possible then, but not every Saiyan is going to have access to the God of Destruction's personal trainer.
>And why isn't gohan a SSG too? I mean, they have five Saiyans and an easy, free power up, literally no reason not to give it to everyone for safety reasons.
Gohan was so weak that he couldn't even use his unlocked abilities anymore or SSJ2. Unless Super changes this, he also doesn't really care to be a fighter anymore.
Goten is probably too young to handle or understand the power. [this is headcanon]
Trunks is the same as Goten.
Pan is not born.
as long as we can relate to Kid Trunks the way we love Future Trunks I'm happy.
Considering they've been slacking off at the epilogue of Z they'd have to somehow incorporate it after meeting Uub.
I was just stating the manga canon is refined and in Toriyama's vision and not just a throwaway "anime promotional" comic.
There's elements where Toriyama revised and corrected such as the Ancient Egyptian setting for the tournament.
Gohan was 9/10 when he fought Cell.
Goten was 7/8 at the end of the Buu saga, so depending on how much time had passed between that and Battle of the Gods he may be 9/10 now as well.
Goten is supposed to be way fucking stronger than Goku or Gohan if he kept training given that he went Super Saiyan at 7yo, but him and Trunks were almost as lazy as Gohan regarding training since the end of the Buu saga so I guess they're weak now or something.
I don't know. That's something that should be resolved in Super.
dude said "Super manga is not made by Toriyama, it's just promo material for the tv series"
so we corrected him that it's not mere promotional material but authentic medium made by Toyotaro that plays off the original manuscript of the animated television series.
Ah, ok. That's what I was looking for. Based on that interview, it's clearly not a throwaway. Toriyama seems decently invested in it.
Looking forward to this next white enemy they mentioned.
>Looking forward to this next white enemy they mentioned.
All these people saying it's gonna be time travelling demons and shit. First thing that came to my mind was the original white haired dude
When Toriyama was asked "Why Blue?" He said "Well I did Red in BoG, so I figured I'd go Blue in the next one!" and then said "But no seriously, I couldn't go white this time because it would clash with the color of the next enemy."
He just posted a quote from Toriyama saying he can't do white because it's going to color clash.
Super Cyan 2 is the only other option.
or maybe they'll regrow their tails and get Super Cyan 4 and we all kill ourselves
Hit will have Goku on the ropes, then Goku will smirk and say "I've invented a way to fully negate your magic psychic energy" and then proceed to bash his face in while screaming 楽しいぜ！ and ワクワクしているぞ！
He thinks supers good, point and laugh guys
Super had laughable animation quality at times but the latest episode 38 shows that it's getting better.
Maybe with Toei now done with the One Piece movie they actually are starting to get better hands on this project.
>everyone, even some DB fans have agreed that DBS is shit.
i only consider the serious from the third arc on. the first two are the movies and don't count.
that third arc is good.
I agreed that the filler animations were bad and turned me off.
Did you watch the new episode? It drastically improved compared to the past.
It's been spotty but episode 37 proves that it got better.
I liked how back when they were fighting Gold Freiza we Vegeta breifly got his moment to be the star only for Goku to take it away from him next episode.
Will Vegeta ever get to end a story arc as the big hero?
This. The animation keeps improving and that's really nice.
World Trigger just ended and with the One Piece movie, I guess we'll probably get good animators making recurrent appearance.
Episode 37 had a lot of chinese working on it and they were making their debut appearance on the series. I wonder if the good cuts are from them and if they'll become regular animators on DBS.
>People were saying the tournament arc will have better animation.
Well, so far, it hasn't fallen to the lows of Goku vs Freeza part 1 or Goku vs Beerus in North Kai's planet.
The animation getting better doesn't mean suddenly improving 100%.
My entire smug folder wouldn't be enough.
Gt had more consistent animation for one though, and you didnt like baby or omega shenron?
I've seen how it ends
Hit beats both Vegeta and Goku
He's set up to fight Monaka and begins laughing while backing up.
In the end he laughs and falls out of the ring.
Beerus was laughing the whole time. Beerus seriouses up and comments that Monaka's ability makes him an undisputed power house.
>Gt had more consistent animation
doesn't make up for the atrocious shitting on the abilities and powers of already established characters and just general nonsensical shit that went on fucking everywhere.
and the writing was god awful. even for dragon ball.
>when basic ass mothafuckas on the street tell me Goku a better character than Vegeta
fuck out my face with that bullshit. real talk, don't even look at me on the street nigga, that's off top. Some serious ass shit gonna happen. Straight like that, bitch ass niggas. Believe that shit.
Believe that shit.
>Gt had more consistent animation for one though
It had more consistent animation at the cost of making things horribly static. Rewatch the Baby vs Goku battles and see how little "battling" actually happens in each episode.
Bullshit you damn dirty liar. There is a clear moment when Goku's and Vegeta's fists clash a blue spark bursts out and the camera pans to their surprised faces. Goku passed on the god ki to Vegeta during the hyperbolic stick chamber training.
I don't know, I haven't played it yet.
If the U7 team was going to win 3 matches in a row anyway, why didn't they let Piccolo win against Frieza and have him lose against the robot? Vegeta defeating two in a row is still good.
>Kid Goku never turning back to adult with the exception of SS4
>First part where they had to find the dballs across the universe
>All side characters getting less screen time
If Piccolo had noticed that something was off when Goku fought him and had predicted/countered the cheating when fighting Frost, it would have both made him look smarter and made him look viable going forwards.
The series could have been exactly the same right until Piccolo had his arm wrapped around Frost. If he'd done something to protect himself against the poison, he could have won. Hell, if he'd just exposed the poison at that point (knowing that Frost would use it as a last resort) he could have had Frost disqualified without needing to hit him with the Special Beam Cannon.
I think I would be more excited if they'd done something like that to make other characters more relevant. Instead, it just looks like it's going to be more Goku/Vegeta from now until the end, which is annoying particularly because it wasn't necessary.
Piccolo is dead weight. Whis or Beerus should've got off their lazy fucking asses and threw in the absolute best instead of relying on Goku's picks. I know he realized that both of the saiyans were worth an entire team on their own but for fucks sake get some strong padding and use goku and vegeta as an anchor if shit goes south.
Plus it would be interesting to see other new fighters in their own universe that could be near their power level.
Because he sucks. His powerlevel is too low. Gohan probably would have been better even after not training and becoming a shit because he said he had been training in secret with piccolo.
Should have thrown Gohan in the time room for 3 days before the fight and we could have had a character that isn't a flesh shield like Piccolo
I think Piccolo's super eyesight is magic based and only works on Earth. Jaco's eyesight was implied to be cybernetically enhanced by the Galactic Patrol, that's how he could see the needle.
While I'm thinking on this, Piccolo could have had Frost disqualified in this way and say that he deliberately forced Frost into a corner rather than simply blasting him because if he just knocked him out of the ring, he couldn't prove that Frost had cheated and Goku wouldn't be reinstated. Again, it would make him look like he can plan ahead.
I hope we'll get some new characters added to the roster as we move into U6. For now, I don't mind Piccolo getting some more screentime because we haven't seen him fight in a decade and nostalgia is nice.
While you're probably right about this, I'm entirely fine with not having another saiyan in the competition. Might make less sense in terms of power levels, but there can only be so many variations of "go SSJ and beamspam".
Having just rewatched most of the series (4 episodes into the Evil Dragons arc):
>not that bad up until about where I'm at now. Most of the time, he's about as funny as kid Goku in DB was. This is the last arc though, and I want to see everyone doing shit, and Goku at his best; kid shit got old.
>definitely a large weakness of the show; they should have either made her more similar in personality to how she was at the 28th Budokai, shoved her onto the back-burner, or over-saturated that first arc with a lot more enjoyable characters to drown her out. I guess I'm saying "at least she didn't ruin literally every scene in GT?"
>this part's mixed. The shit was pretty boring, but once they got to M2 it got a lot better
>the non-Goku characters actually get a decent amount of screen time; and the mundane slice of life shit that they're all doing is pretty fun to watch
>Don Kia, Mutchy, Lood, Sigma Cannon, Green Frog Dragon, Pink Penguin Dragon, Ocean Waifu Dragon, and Purple Mole Dragon were all pretty shit
>Ledgic, Rilld, Baby, Gero, Myuu, Super 17, Freeza, and Cell were solid I thought
>haven't got to the last 3 dragons yet
Your first 3 points are the hardest to argue against. Pan I can't really defend at all.
I hate the scholar shit. The only thing the series ever did with it was use it as an excuse to make Gohan a throw-away character. If all he does is read and research, then have him invent or discover something that matters.
well, toriyama doesn't have to draw it anymore for starters.
two, he said he didn't know what a female super saiyan would look like. (this most likely refers to the way he draws the body and face, looking much bulkier and angular. Toriyama draws his women very soft and their features very round)
But now we've had dozens of female super saiyan designs, thanks to DBO, DBXenoverse, and DBHeroes.
Ah fuck, you're right. I'm not liking these rainbow transformations, man. Cell saga did the Super Sayain shit the best, even if it was the beginning of the end of anybody but Sayains being relevant.
Toriyama said the color would clash with a villain
which means until that villain is defeated, we won't see it.
and so far, it looks like the villain hasn't even been introduced (odds are, it's whoever hired Hit)
So I'd say we'll get a good 20 more eps before we see white haired saiyan. It will most likely be the "final" transformation.
Technically, Super Saiyan God was the shortest. It was used by one person, for one fight, then replaced by Super Saiyan Blue
>So I'd say we'll get a good 20 more eps before we see white haired saiyan.
Has the series been confirmed to run that long? I'm pretty happy if that ends up being the case. I was under the impression that this tournament was the last arc, tbhwy.
I thought 3 was OK, if only for the fact it had huge drawbacks (Large power consumption and long time to complete the transformation). It looked stupid as all hell, though.
I'm now imagining a scene where somebody tries to suggest to Goku to regrow his tail to gain strength to defeat the baddie, but then he just says "Nah, that's stupid" and does another God form.
>it's not gonna be in db super
But Towa and Mira will. Trunks is coming back.
>With a tail
Beat, the red god saiyan he was posting, is the main character from db heroes who uses the game machine to turn into a saiyan.
>Trunks is coming back.
>Toyotaro: I've read the plot for the new story, and I'm really happy a certain future-related character is going to be involved. I'm a huge fan!
>Toriyama: That's a pretty popular character! Hopefully the kids will be happy.
it's gonna be future gohan since he is a badass and future trunks is a faggot.
no it will be trunks. damn it.
here you daft cunt http://dragonball.wikia.com/wiki/Beat
Speculation, and provably wrong. Trunks is more popular than Future Gohan. Towa and Mira will be the new antagonists, based on the white hair comment. Time Patrol arc is happening.
Which means Heroes is "canon." As is Xenoverse/Online. And
DBGT.They're all alternate timelines. Get ready for 50 million Gohans.
Beat is a human playing a GAME (granted, one that uses sophisticated time travel to "experience" past events) and his avatar is a saiyan
it's not HIM that can transform. It's only his game character.
Piccolo falls in love with Vegeta.
Unable to confess, he is gifted by a deus ex machina with the Saiyan Prince's phone number. Never minding the strange area code, he immediately calls him, and is overjoyed to find out that he has a crush on him as well.
But, the next day, when Ma Jr. recounts the previous day's confessions to Vegita, he only looks at him with a perplexed expression. After some investigation, he finds out that the Saiyan he called is not the same Saiyan he fell in love with. In fact, he doesn't exist in this universe at all. He is Bejita's alternate universe counterpart, who has fallen in love with Piccolo's own AU self, who too is blissfully unaware of his crush.
Hijinks ensue as the two strike up a deal to give each other their darkest, most private secrets in order to equip the other with the weapons they need to conquer the heart of their other selves. While the two chase their respective loved ones, DRAMA ensues as they begin to fall in love with each other instead and question the DAILY DOSE.
>>First part where they had to find the dballs across the universe
was comfy and reminded us of first dragon ball
>>All side characters getting less screen time
just like in super
baby and the dragons where ok
Vegeta never "mastered" Super Saiyan 2.
He just got really fucking mad that beerus slapped the shit out of his wife. It wasn't a technique.
It wasn't due to training.
Vegeta was just really, really mad.
I'd actually like to see how Future Trunks deals with Buu coming to the future. He's not really that strong and everyone is dead. Even if he wishes Gohan back its not like he'll make much of a difference unless Goku taught him super saiyan 2 and 3 in the otherworld.
He was revived at this point i believe.
She was a cameo in the end of the buu saga.
She worked as a milk delivery woman.
So we probably wont see her unless they do another cameo with a ton of the minor dragon ball characters like snow
Shin Budokai: Another Road. Story was pretty much the future timeline dealing with Buu and movie villains. It was a pretty cool idea, and had Future Gohan going SSJ2 and Mystic.
Babadi went to Earth when Trunks was 8, which was long before he went back in time. Kaioshin (or maybe Gohan or the Androids) must have killed him. Dabura was the only one too strong for them, and he might have left the Earth alone after he was freed from the mid control.
I'm still hanging on to the hope that the tournament is gonna get interrupted or something and then the REAL story arc can begin with Hit revealing his true power level and turning on notBeerus/notWhis or Beerus/notBeerus just say "fuck it" and straight up brawl with each other for the super dragonballs.
I forgot, why are they having this tournament again? Is it to see who gets custody of Earth and/or all the "delicious foods"?
38 - The martial arts tournament between Universe 6 and Universe 7 with Earth on the line. Vegeta's last opponent is Hit, the strongest man of Universe 6. Vegeta, watching Hit's eerily calm demeanor, is quite sure he's strong. Hit is an assassin proud to have the greatest skill of Universe 6.
"The counterattack of the developed "Tokitobashi" (Time Skipping?)!?
Will it appear!? Goku's new technique!"
Vegeta challenges Hit using Super Saiyajin Blue but Hit's technique, "Tokitobashi", deals a barrage of hits in his vital points and makes him faint. Son Goku is able to guess how Hit's "Tokitobashi" works and thus, while in Super Saiyajin Blue state, he also challenges Hit.
"The growing Hit, Goku at his peak" (Provisional)
Hit can skip time but only for 0.1 seconds. Estimating past those 0.1 seconds, Goku defeated the "Tokitobashi". But, Hit continues to grow (stronger?) while in battle. So, Goku breaks the seal of the Kaiouken and shoots a Kamehame Ha!
40 "Conclusion" (Provisional) - The martial arts tournament againts Universe 6 that wages on Earth has finally come to a close. In an outburst of anger, Champa wants to destroy his defeated contestants. Cabba and the others are frozen in fear. At that time, the one who appeared on the ring is...
The "breaking the seal of the kaioken" tipped me off. Goku hasn't used the Kaioken since Namek, why all of a sudden would it be relevant again? I'd imagine we'd sooner see the nyoibo or kintoun become relevant again before the kaioken makes a return.
The Makankosappo, Galick Gun and Final Flash all came back even though they hadn't been used since their introductions. Super cares more about making nostalgic references than making sense.
Yeah, I'd be raising a big fucking eyebrow if it weren't for these having the same kind of source as all of the previously "leaked" episode titles that turned out to be accurate.
What's odd is the implication of there being a "seal". The fuck?
That is true. I guess when you put it like that it makes sense. Still, I'd rather Toriyama return Goku to more of his Sun Wukong roots, especially with the potential of him and Vegeta becoming gods. I would like to see the kaioken again, I've missed it.
Yeah, the seal bit threw me off. I can't remember if they ever mentioned in the manga that going kaioken while SSJ was a bad idea or if that was just anime filler. Maybe "breaking the seal" could simply mean taking it out of retirement?
no you're a normie because you don't know the romanji terms for things. what you asked is like asking "what the fuck is an SSJ?"
>>What's odd is the implication of there being a "seal".
before you could never use kaioken while using another transformation. if that (still calling bullshit) turns out to be true then Goku will become red and blue.
Can we all agree that even though Kaiou is the correct romanization that Kaio is a whole lot less awkward to read and write? English isn't meant to have that many different vowels in a row. No one wants to read Kaioushin or Kaiouken.
I don't think romanji has anything to do with it.
The only thing that makes him (relatively) more of a normalfag than you in this instance is his lack of familiarity with terminology from more a more niche version of the series.
if it doesn't look similar to this, toriyama is a bitch nigga
>more niche version of the series
If you haven't read the manga you shouldn't be in Dragon Ball threads. Viz didn't even translate Nyoi-bo, you have no excuse.
Also it's "Romaji" by the way. Or "Roumaji" if you want to be a correct faggot.
>That was filler though
manga never said you couldn't do it though.
just no one ever did.
it's either super cyan 2 or super cyan KAI-O-KEN.
personally i want to see SSJ purple more than super cyan 2.
Yes, the manga's more niche. In the English speaking world, most normies are familiar with the Funimation dub from Toonami. Anything that isn't in that dub is going to be relatively niche.
Yes, deal with it. As far as Dragon Ball as a whole goes (Not just japan retard) the manga is easily the more niche version. Most people have only watched the dub of the anime of their countries (And I don't blame them, Jap DBZ is worse thing ever) and have no reason to read the manga because it's a fighting manga with no motion like the anime. The manga is the niche version. Most people just know the anime.
even if that guy wasn't a normalfaggot, he's still a faggot for being unable to google nyoibo and find his answer in literally 2 fucking seconds.
>Jap DBZ is worse thing ever
you have shit taste
Yeah, I know it was basically forgotten about in the manga and only ever shown combined with SSJ in anime filler. That was my point, it's entirely possible it could be brought back.
You're on a mongolian cryptography enthusiasts' rathaus, you better learn to start expecting niche things to be brought up or go back to wherever you came from.
>Jap DBZ is worse thing ever
Go and stay go.
>incoming sub vs dub battle
Did they say hes too fast. I always thought it could be some teleporting his attacks or maybe instant transmission attacks. Considering how fast Goku and Vegeta are it seems kind of impossible hes that fast.
Babidi came trying to find people to steal energy from. With most people killed by the Androids, Goku, Vegeta, etc included, there's barely anyone worthwhile so he likely just skipped Earth.
Read the manga and stop posting bullshit
