Joker Game - 01
It's acceptable. Can't call it good (yet, only one episode dude) but it's not set in a fucking highschool and there aren't any characterised women. It's also set in an interesting time in Japan's history, with mentalities shifting from BANZAI ATTACK GLORY TO EMPEROR to more subtle techniques of international politics.
yea, and I say shifting is wrong. If anything, sentiments shifted away from subtelty and didin't come back near it until after the bombings.
I mean, if the nips want to think they were subtle and play pretend at it in this show, sure, but they sure as hell weren't in reality.
>Seisen Cerberus - 01
I went in expecting complete shit but got a slightly original and humorous start to a series.
I know the spoilers, thanks.
Eating while I watched it and I experienced both range of emotions in pic related
>Minami ke 02
Some skits are boring but everything involving Kana is fantastic.
Dagashi Kashi - 12
>Joker Game 01
>Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans - 23
The cancer killing /a/ my gentleanons.
Just finished watching it. It was a pretty strong first episode. I really like what I saw. I will probably keep watching it.
Also watched Re:Zero. I like it. MC is even cuter than in the manga. And since I liked the manga I will keep watching.
>Red Jacket episode 5
How long does it take for it to get consistently good? Green Jacket took a few episodes before it did but several of its early episodes were still great. I'm watching through every series of Lupin and this one just feels off to me.
Not him. Out of the gorillion shitty high school anime, it would be pretty ridiculous to not have some good shows.
Statistically speaking, an anime that isn't high school shit has a far larger chance of being good than some high school shit anime.
I miss Barakamon.
>Joker Game - 01.
The D-Agency is cool as fuck.
Gatchaman Crowds 01
the main girls voice is so annoying
>robotics notes final
best girl get a kiss and saves the day
It'll grow on you, no worries.
You had better not be watching the fucking dub, though. I've only witnessed a few that are worse than the one for Crowds.
Ace Attorney 1
I... I don't know what I expected.
Yeah, but unfortunately I don't think I deserve to be acknowledged for that fact because I really didn't get it. It was cool for a few different reasons and I understood what the Ungodlyzilla represented buuuut the overall I was pretty lost. But maybe that was the point.
Re:Zero, Can i just fast forward 6 months... i don't want another oh shit i need to know anime, i don't want another steins
>Macross F 7
I'm so glad I decided to give the franchise a try from the start
>thinly veiled reaction image and recommendation thread
>Kokoro Connect 04
I should've watched it when it came out. I think I would've ran out of air laughing at the ending.
I was expecting the MC to be a "psh, nothing personnel" overpowered edgelord, but he's actually an overconfident shitter. Pleasant surprise.
Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry
"Regular, or extra strength?"
>Mayoiga - 01
I want some eggs.
>implying anons can't gush or rage about something they just watched without it being a rec thread
In case you hadn't noticed, virtually all the posts are about currently airing shows, as is almost always the case in these threads. The only way this could even come close to qualifying as a rec thread is if you completely discounted the fact that the board's already been talking about these shows ad nauseum over the last several days.
>Ushio to Tora S2 E1
shit's amazing, you are missing out /a/
>no world building for a show set in the world you live in
>no character development in the first episode of a show where the characters are trained to not have characteristics
You do realize the main character will be the one to slowly change, not his supporting cast of lying machines. He's ultra moto for his army camaraderie and sacrifice for his country, but he's learning that it's a fucking waste.
It's not a stellar show presentation by any means, especially with the shitty engrish bits, but jesus fuck is it refreshing to not have some fifteen year old angsty wang holster have the fate of mankind in his hands while all of the adults around stroke his shaft and tell him he's the only one that can do it. Fuck me.
This is Japan, anon. It won't be military guy learning to accept political nuance. It'll be nationalist man teaching his cowardly spy friends to be willing to die for glorious nippon.
>Ashita no Joe 2. Last episode.
I'm in tears right now.
Zeta as a whole has confused me so much. Many a 'plot hole', but really I just want to fucking understand why everyone is still full retard, why commanders and subordinates alike on both sides are still allowed to exist and pilot when they pull shit sort of shit. Fuck just 2 episodes ago they were abandoning HIGH GRADE SUPER PROTOTYPES to do hand to hand battle inside an exploding ship.
Joker Game - 1
>rewatched Pokemon origins 01-04
Way better than I remember it being. Probably better than anything this season so far
Joker Game - 01
the direction is as vampire guilty knight and that was atrocious. but its a fun show.
>Detroit Metal City
Honey and Clover
My legs fucking hurt.
To clarify, the MC is your stereotypical NIPPON BANZAI imperialist, like most japanese of the time.
The spies, however, are made up of smug assholes who are basically just being spies to prove that they are better than everyone else, and think that nationalism and patriotism are retarded (and spend the first episode fucking with the MC's ideals)
>last show that you watched
well the first season of Vikings was pretty great. last abime i watched was i think the most recent Dragonball Super episode which was awesome compared to the shit we got before.
>Macross Delta 01
This honestly might end up being better than AKB0048.
Actually I'm afraid of how seriously it is taking itself.
Because the writing isn't actually bad, you understand as much from the relationship the MC has with family and the backstory of his BFF, it's a classic fantasy with average characters. But the direction and the designs are so horrendous, it can't possibly be good. Yet I don't think it will have the judgement to fully embrace how bad it is in order to make something remotely entertaining.
>Ace Attorney/Gyakuten Saiban - 01
