Honestly, I've been enjoying the side characters a lot. Shiro is a fun character to bounce interactions off of, and it's sort of turned into a mystery where you try to understand what actually happened in Shun's story. Plus Oni vs Oni was the best fight this series has had.

I agree that Alaba is a great fight, and it's just my particular taste. In Oni vs Oni, we have a large amount of time spent developing characters and their motivations all culminating to the event, while Alaba is mostly experienced from Kumoko's PoV. Still, I love how you could have guessed the outcome of the fight if you read through her Appraisal 6 chapters earlier.

One of the main appeals for me for Kumo was that Shiro had to struggle through her entire ordeal throughout that labyrinth. Granted there's only so much you could do before moving towards the more important part, but at least make her struggle a bit more for it. I guess to be fair, she's currently a mentor character for both vampire and oni but I kind of miss the old parts where she had to try to survive with ingenuity.

I do agree that once she left the labyrinth, the author moved pretty quickly to godhood. I think that mantle of 'using ingenuity' has moved from actual fights to more behind-the scenes action. For example,finding out that she's secretly controlling Yuugo was a jawdropper for me.We still have main characters that can still have interesting fights without being broken, and I'm sure that ingenuity will return when she eventually confronts Kuro.
I think Potimas has an incredibly broken skill with Diligence. It may make it so that you no longer have numerical caps anyone else has.
