Final episode airing right now.
I will drop this after it ends if Sensei doesn't win.
But they could have changed that for the anime. The anime end is original anyway.
why is he so sad
we love you yashiro, dont be sad
what are the other anime there?
>Gulty crown mc was keked at the end too
That plan was too risky. Nobody knew how exactly Sensei planned to kill Satoru. He could have planned to shot him right there or strangle him or just lift him up and throw him from the roof at some other place. There was no fucking guaranty that he would kill him in that exact way and throw him down right there even counting in the small gate.
Goddammit older Satoru looks like Yashiro there.
Finally its done, now waiting for doujins japan should deliver
Implying the manga had build up to the Airi end. Sanbe Kei worked with the director, he decided to have it animated before the manga was finishes. Stop getting mad your irrelevant Airi scenes got removed
I fear it will just be a 1 to 2 volume extra thing with side stories about the MCs that are irrelevant to the plot though.
>it was never good
Well, no one is disputing that I hope. The manga is a fun ride before the coma. I like his sloppy artstyle. I hope he does something more interesting and fleshed out next.
Would actually be better than the official end.
Did they at least say the same stuff as in the manga?
>>Airi end without all the build-up necessary to make it satisfying
More build up would've been nice, but I was rooting for her since the beginning, and all of their scenes together afterwards were cute enough to hold me.
The stuff under the bridge, and the fire rescue especially.
And they barely know each other in the original timeline in the anime. This didn't make any sense at all. Either stick to the source and give her more screentime, or go for full anime original
This. Satoru was way cuter as boy as well. They should just stay kids forever - Satoru can just travel back in time whenever they turn into teens or something.
He was in coma all this time, she's not even supposed to know him.
Inb4 she will "believe" they met each other in a different timeline and will accept that as proof they had a relationship and will fall for him based on that.
Say what you will plot/pacing wise, but I really loved the way the show was directed/the cinematography.
>Satoru can just travel back in time whenever they turn into teens or something.
>constantly going back in time, winning over random girls (kayo, the other girl he saved, etc.) taking their virginity, and then reloading the timeline
I'm confused as well and I'm too lazy to look it up, I'll just wait for subs.
This was actually much better than the manga. They got almost all Kayo scenes animated well, anime became popular. Wasn't expecting much from the ending because I didn't like it at all.
He killed little girls before they got the chance to turn into bitches and whores. He just wanted them to die pure, he is an improved form of Adachi.
>hiromi literally sits in between Kayo and Satoru to emphasize the NTR
But he would kill you after you fuck him.
There is barely any Airi art on pixiv. I am not even lying.
Have some more sensei instead.
Remember that "interview" with the director where people were calling everyone an Airifag if they dared to dismiss it because it had no source? What a time to be alive.
In the manga, Satoru went into a coma a second time then some months passed for him to recover enough to walk with crutches. Then he went on a camping trip with cancerchan and sensei was there to kill cancerchan and challenge Satoru. They ended up jumping off a bridge after an explosion. Capturing him in essentially the same way.
>The point was popularity, director knew Kayo would be the reason a lot of people would get into the show, so he focused the hell out of her.
That doesn't make sense. If so, he should've removed the cucking scene and made up his own Kayo ending scenario for the later chapters.
Fuck them for not animating the whole brother part.
Only showing those hamsters felt pretty retarded, it would have been better to just skip the explanation at all that way.
>People actually believed this was supposed to be AOTS
The author never knew how to end the manga. in an interview the director says how he was unable to continue production on the anime because Sanbe was considering different endings.
>[BudLightSubs] Boku dake ga Inai Machi - 12 [720p].mkv
Our Russian brethren got our backs.
Finally this piece of shit is fucking over.
It's time for the real AOTY to start.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HOLY SHIT THIS ENDING WAS HILARIOUS AHAHAHAHA
Well at least this series give us the best memes in like 2 or 3 years.
To anyone that thinks the ending is a cuckfest:
The Inciting Incident for the entire series was his mothers murder. He wen't back in time to save his MOTHER, not Kayo. Kayo and the other girls were simply means to that end.
In turn, his mother took care of the son, who she didn't know saved her life, for 15 years on FAITH that he would wake up.
>He never deserted his mother, his mother did not desert him.
The story came full circle. She is Best Girl.
Kayo became pointless to the story once he saved her, so the author, as any smart writer would, he benched her. Her story arc was done.
Ask yourself, what would Satoru trying to wife/fuck Kayo actually accomplish for the Characters main goals? How is that gonna stop the bad guy? How is that gonna save his mother life and his own freedom from prison?
>What sense does it make for MC to "get the girl" that he wasn't even aiming for?
I think anyone whining about cucking is simply upset that they didn't get pandered to in the way that 10000 other shows have done.
Can this get anymore hilarious???
They always lack the balls. Fans already have the manga ending anyway so a Kayo end in the anime would have been the perfect solution and everyone would be happy. It's why people like VNs so much as well.
>because Sanbe was considering different endings.
He better draw those different endings for the Gaiden manga. I really want to know what his ideas were.
>Fans already have the manga ending anyway so a Kayo end in the anime would have been the perfect solution and everyone would be happy. It's why people like VNs so much as well.
>everyone needs to be pandered to all the time
When you focus so much on one character just for her to be irrelevant in the end, that's bad writing. We all know what the point was, the point was made everything building up to it was bad.
Your points are valid. I think most people are shitposting anyway. Regardless, the director took it upon himself to make the romance between Kayo and Satoru a focal point of the series instead of everything that you listed in your post (which would have made for a better story). Not once does Satoru say to himself: "I'm here to save my mother and catch the killer, everything else is a distraction." Instead, they hang out for 7 episodes, give each other presents, he goes into a coma and gets cucked because the author/director don't know what the fuck they're doing.
The cuck without me will always be fucking hilarious, I haven't laughed so hard in a while.
While the picture is pretty acurrate all around
I have a problem with the problem of
>Time travel staying unexplained
I don't think every little thing needs explaining - especially not supernatural forces and effects. It's similar to a Murakami novel, where the odd/fantastic elements are kept unexplained and ambiguous on purpose (to add to the mystery, or to show the "how/why" doesn't matter, or to prevent locking oneself within a set of arbitrary rules)
>why am I not seeing anyone complaining?
Because HS is the only one that gives us our anime, Don't bite the hand that feeds you. Anon.
Who let this shit slide.
Anime movie when?
>I know it's an example, but are you really comparing this shitfest to Murakami?
Certainly not when it comes to the quality of the writing and characters. Murakami is miles above this.
That said, there's similarities in the unexplained supernatural elements, and it was the only example I could think of at the moment
well when it fucking says 10:30 or whatever on HS site, 1080p has been up no later than 10:40 for whole fucking season until about 2 weeks ago, they were pretty fucking on time with every shit I watched which is 9 shows this season
I see your point, but this is just surprising. or perhaps I just forgot how shit things sometimes got in the past and that I should not expect them to be as good as they were for past months constantly.
Yeah, you're right about that. Trying to explain his powers would totally shift the genre of the story, and as it's a power he had for a lot of time, he has no reason to try to find out where his powers come from.
>A spin-off novel titled Boku Dake ga Inai Machi: Another Record, written by Hajime Ninomae, was serialized in Kadokawa's monthly digital novel magazine Bungei Kadokawa from November 2015 to March 2016. A volume collecting the chapters will be released on March 30, 2016.
What is this about?
>Trying to explain his powers would totally shift the genre of the story, and as it's a power he had for a lot of time, he has no reason to try to find out where his powers come from.
If there's one thing I think literature does better than a lot of other story-telling media, it's that it leaves a lot more ambiguous, and/or a lot more is given to the reader to interpret and understand themselves. Other kinds of media seems to revel in explaining every little fucking thing, and maybe that's just because it has to pander to a wider audience or something
>but at least estabilish proper rules for it so it doesn't looks like a fucking plot device
But it is a plot device. That's the entire point. It's pretty much a deus ex machina for the few times Satoru's life was in danger of death or getting stuck in prison
That always bothered me. They are all just paired up with the girls they met in 1988 and are all friends with each other, even 20 years later.
I am used to this shit in anime but I expected something else here.
episodes 1-4: AOTY
episodes 5-8: still pretty great
episodes 9-12: fuck off
So Kayo came back to the town, got depressed over Satoru and Hiromi probably moved in on her. They kept visiting him and got closer, eventually married. No matter how I imagine this it seems fucked up, Satoru in a coma was the best thing to happen to them
what the fuck was the point of the "revival" mechanic
why not just make it "I'm a boring guy with a boring life until one day I get framed by a murder and through SUPERNATURAL MAGIC I get sent back in time"
they literally never use the "5 minutes" thing beyond the first episode
Sensei won in all the timelines
So satou prevented 4 deaths, while the people he saved with revival died and so did the people sensei killed after he went into a coma
Can't stop the yashiro
It had the potential to be a 9 but the back half and the retarded asspulls brought it down to a warm 7.
This ending is just shit. Pure shit.
Manga was better desu senpai
id give it a 6 after this shitty happy ending
Would you date this single mom?
Keep in mind she has a 29 year old man-child son.
She WAS relevant. You're just mad that her PUSSY wasn't relevant to the MC.
If you can show me where Satoru was ACTUALLY UPSET that he got cucked then I was humbly shut up but until then you guys are just assmad that you didn't get pandered to.
>Based god Kenya is the real hero. He could have slid right into Kayo's pussy whenever he wanted but he didn't because he has respect for his comatose bro.
>Implying Kenya is not gay for Satorou
>writing SMS while someone is talking with you
Sensei is the worst
>three episodes turns good show into comedy
>not revealing to everyone hes been going back in time all along
What a little bitch.
>goes to commit sudoku suddenly whole gang below with a parachute
How did he know sensei would take him to the roof?
>when his mom said "your an adult now"
He didn't reply with "I've always been an adult"
>kenya not asking how he knows more complex words when he has been in a coma for 15 years and has the mental age of a 10 year old
Ever since the reveal it's gone pretty down hill and that ending was just fucking abysmal, They played it too safe with Sensei.
8/10 would have been AOTS if the ending was way better, Still really enjoyable though.
You are right. He lost all of lives from 11 y
old to 26 y old.
However, on the other hand, he got the later life with true friends.
Airi was cute cute cute!
Satoru deserves someone cute like her, not cucky like Kayo
They are shown leaving together, but it looks like they are still dating more than anything.
So yes they hooked up, but they aren't married or anything. In the manga it implies pretty much the same thing. Except Fat Guy seems to be married.
