Which type of CGDCT anime do you like more?
The rexaled and laid back ones (e.g. Non Non)
The genki ones (e.g. Doga Kobo YuruYuri)
Or the cutesy ones (e.g. Kinmoza)?
>>
Genki ones are my favorites. I like SHAFT style ones as well because their whole thing is making a scene of two/three people talking to each other for about 10 mintues as visually stimulating as possible.
>>
>>139026388
NNB because it has the best comedy, dialog, and drama compared to any other cgdct

also best rural atmosphere compared to any show
>>
>>139026388
Depends on the characters more than the "type".
>>
>>139026523
I'm with this anon.

NNB was great. I also like AIURA, K-on, Lucky Star.
>>
As long as it's done well, I like them all. NNB, K-ON, Yuru Yuri, Tamako Market, etc.

I don't get the difference between "cute things" and "trivial things".
>>
>>139026388
Slow pace, nice atmosphere and good characters does it for me.
Yuru Yuri got a lot slower paced in the third seaseon (and the Nachuyasumi OVAs).
I like it a lot more as a result, plus it feels closer to the manga.
>>
Laid back for sure, Nothing is better than just sitting back and watching some relaxing shit.
>>
Genki autism is the best
>>
I think Kinmoza does a lot to be funny and genki.

>>139026762
This is wrong, though.
>>
>>139026747
The K-Ons are doing things that are cute in a way that isn't very conducive to real life. They're starting a band and eating tea and cakes every day. It's basically a fantasy.

Lucky Star is more humor about the trivial details of day-to-day life. It's a very grounded series even if it exaggerates sometimes.

Azumanga Daioh is just over-the-top comedy with impossible things happening all the time.

I like them, but just cutesy doesn't quite cut it for me.

I especially like the ones that doesn't only use the setting as a hand-waved reason to put cute girls together, but go an extra mile with it. GA would be an example of this, to the point that I'd actually call it rather educational.
>>
Is it more ambitious to focus on comedy or iyashikei?

It seems like no matter how unfunny the jokes are or how shallow the characters are, anons will praise any show for being comfy. It's like it's impossible to do bad iyashikei while it's easy to screw up with comedy.
>>
Funny story, I like Non Non, YuruYuri, Kinmoz, Hidamari Sketch, Aria... but not K-on
>>
K-On had everything
>>
>>139026388
The historical one. Everything else is terrible.
>>
>>139026867
Comedy for sure.

>>139026961
She looks like an extraterrestrial
>>
>>139026961
Most everything else is terrible
>>
>>139026388
>NNB
because it's funny
>>
Someone please explain them sales:

Lucky star 30074

>>
>>139027783

All three in one, of course.
If I had to choose, it would definitely be Iyashikei as long as it isn't as slow as the Aria anime.
>>
Cutesy ones.

>>139027783
Lucky star came first.
>>
Cute girls fighting monsters is my favourite.

All I need are cute transformation scenes and high impact sexual violence.
>>
>>139026747
Know doing cute things the doing trivial thing difference doing funny things
>>
>>139028144
Fighting monsters is not cute though
>>
>>139026388
The very cute ones like Gochiusa and Kinmoza. I'm also a sucker for healing shows like NNB or Tamayura.

How the fuck am I supposed to read this?
>>

>>139026444
This
>>
>>139026388
In order to feel vibrant and engaging a show needs balanced amounts of all three
Else it just feels shallow
>>
>>139026867
Anything is more ambitious than iyashikei.
