Last episode today for anybody that still cares
>they wasted this perfection on a background character
I'm still mad.
Chika is more successful at being gay than Haruta ever wish he was
Why are the girls' tops so short?
It was boring, Haruta being both Oreki and Satoshi at the same time didn't make for a good or even remotely interesting character
The romance part was still forced and annoying because there was no reason whatsoever to like the bland cardboard cut out of a teacher
The other characters outside of Serizawa didn't do anything beyond their one episode mystery spotlight and remained in the background for the remainder of the show
There was a total of 5 minutes of them playing music throughout the entire show, the mysteries sucked and were incredibly forced uninteresting and the way Haruta went about solving them screamed bullshit every time
The only good character was Chika
In the end, I couldn't give a fuck about any character and this show is a case of
>why the fuck did I watch this (to the end)
But what I liked about in this ep was that music performance/credits roll combi.
Chika doesn't want to leave you too anon
None in this world should ever try this hard.
These twins come to you and ask you for a donation.
What do you do?
Can someone explain me this? Why do funi feel the need to translate every sticker? I never understood that. It is okay if the stickers/signs were relevant, but sometimes they just aren't.
Do they enjoy typesetting?
Chika a cuteeeeeeeee
Those were his ' feelings ' towards his teacher? He wasn't a faggot to begin with then?
The ending was really good the music was nice, The club president announcement and Homura saying she has no money for a ride back home build up was hilarious.
If only all the episodes were like this instead of these stupid uninteresting mysteries.
I'm glad it's over though, If we are going by the PA Works formula the next show they do should be AOTS/Y material.
I love how they're holding it together
Chika and her harem
Oh fuck yeah I guess not then, Well this sounded promising at least.
No way near as bad, The ending made covered enough ground for the tripe it's been serving us weekly.
I seriously hope that
notlesbians in concert bands don't become a thing.
The end in itself was bland and I personally semi-liked that show. When it ended right after they announced Maren as Club President I had to recheck and see if it actually ended that way.
I literally laughed at the blatantness and sweet irony. There is a line between baiting and LOOKIE HERE SCISSORING INCOMING (NO DICK FOR YOU YOU FAG) and these fuckers just hit it.
You like mystery? You like cute Chika being cute? You like seeing best girls making fags straight? If yes then continue it.
There's nothing much to do while waiting for the next season to air so might as well resume it anon.
>I had it in my sight
All these while this part kept making me laugh
I started watching grimgar, and that actually surprised me mostly by how nice it looks. I didn't pick it up originally because I avoid fantasy LN adaptations. So I have something to watch.
Did the mystery get decent at least? Like hyouka level?
>Still has those LN source probably
>PA works; so no S2 whatsoever
>I didn't watch this show
You can cross-reference the chapter/episode titles here, except first and last eps which are anime original. The person is translating them at the rate of maybe one chapter a month.
China getting his reed blown every day.
Why is this faggot put in the show? What has he done AT ALL in this show, aside from looking smug and playing with drumsticks?
You know what, I'm so fucking glad this is over. Not even Chika was unable to save it from being the letdown of the year.
Probably one of the worst last episodes I've seen in a while
At least Nao was in it
4.5/10 show, Chika and Nao were decent I guess
>go to other shitholes to check out finle reactions
>complaints about not muh Hibikek
>complaints that Haruta isn't really gay (literal what)
What is it about this show that brings out shit comprehension and expectations in people?
>Being this baka
>complaints that Haruta isn't really gay
Sasuga SJW normalfags
It was an anti-climatic as fuck ending. Felt incredibly rushed, but I guess it's still better than their sales.
Haruta was the best part of this show, followed by Chika.I enjoyed some parts of it very much, but welll, what can I say? This was just not good.
Good riddance everybody. See you next season.
This is Chika-chan. She's very cheeky and has a lot of bitches.
The best one.
I still can't get why people thought this was going to be anything like Hibike.
Yeah, they have one theme in common, but you don't see people thinking Souma was going to be like Koufuku Graffiti. Fucking retards I swear.
>no more show with purest boy to look forward to every week
Don't leave me hanging, PA.
It was Haruta and Chika's friendship confession for me.
Their banters, beatdowns, shittalking and cockblocking contests were funny.
Their plotting and Sherlock-Watson antics were cute.
But when they finally get a serious scene you realize they really are kindred spirits and best friends. And it feels uncontrived and true to character.
Who cares? Next season is GOAT.
This is the first season in years where I'm actually looking forward to more than half the season's shows instead of convincing myself that maybe some of those shows will be somewhat decent.
Holy shit what a comfy show. I'm not even gonna pretend it was AOTS/AOTY, but man Wednesdays have been so enjoyable being able to watch this show. I'm really going to miss it.
I didn't like 90% of this show. The Chika and Haruta duo is great but that faggot got annoying really fast. Besides those two, I couldn't give a shit about the mysteries or the rest of the cast.
I'm actually surprised that I didn't drop this. I only picked this up because P.A. Works was behind it but it was a complete letdown. If this was done by any other studio I wouldn't be bothered that much but it upsets me that P.A. Works is delivering another crappy show.
I'm so glad all the /u/fags got banned and left eventually.
>they never properly explained why Sensei fucked up his career
Yeah, a female dear to him died, but who it was? His mom? Wife? Girlfriend? Why did he abandoned everything so suddenly? What the fuck P.A.
So is anyone unironically going to have this show as their AOTS/Top 3?
I know I am
I fucking love the train scene.
Same. Didn't really know why funi decided to translate it as ' She '. They should've went for ' That person '
I bet even funi knew there wouldn't be a second season so translating it as ' She ' wouldn't come and bite them in the ass later on.
No, because it happened in the first chapter which was replaced by an anime original intro. I'm also guessing that
Haruta being surrounded and jeered at by his classmateswould have felt too out of place with the rest of the show.
>tfw actually never disliked any PA works show
I don't even really remember what was bad about Glasslip, but I sure wasn't forcing myself to finish it.
Glasslip is still their worst anime show though.
>mfw not so youngfag anymore and still a virgin neet
What am I doing with my life?
Glasslip was entertaining on its own wicked way, but it was bland as fuck
Its not QUALITY after all in the OP. Apparently you do play the instrument like this.Well, shit.
What does it say?
I can recognize only a few words
Didn't someone say that there was a scene in the novels where they find the homo's phone, snoop through it, find a bunch of pictures of sensei and find out that he's gay? Was that false information, was that cut, or does it happen later on in the novels?
It would have made a pretty funny scene.
Oh looks, its asami at the back. Sensei confirmed for logos.
Basically Scene 1 of the novels
With a bit more reminiscing from Chika later
Looking back at it, I think that Haruta's behavior was impeccable the day before he refused to go to school. Even though he was jeered at by everyone in the class, he didn't deny it with a single word or an excuse. He just went silent, looked downward and simply stood.
I'm not able to do that.
Would be great and hilarious to see Chika stumble and rolling down the descent.
Haruta and Chika's youth was so beautiful
I loved every second of it
My sides, it was expected but I dont expect maren.
Drummer radio man wont be slaying the pussy anytime soon.
I havent really get a good look at the calendar yet, but yeah both will be watched but I got no expectation on anything, better like that.
She is chika's property now.
I had a bit of a shitty day anon. Thanks for the laugh anon.
who gives a shit if he was gay or not,the real reason people should hate him is from pulling shit of his ass every episode and solving every "mystery" with his knowledge of everything and anything.
No they made the right call, this never looked the slightest bit promising,Kuromukuro on the other hand did slightly (though not as much now that new info about it has been revealed).
>"Anyway," I said. "If it's about that then there's already no need to worry."
"What do you mean?"
"I deceived everyone in class in the past week. I told them that there was a girl that you liked and that the images in the cellphone were something that my friend asked from the softhearted Haruta."
Chika is a total best girl and friend
The fan translation of the novel is a bit awkward but it gives the impression that Chika's narration was a loss for the anime. On the other hand the added visual gags and expressions made up for it.
Still got the CG "roundness" thing going on, the details are improved but still not looking as a drawn one still, I dont have other scene to compare to.
>hottest class prez didn't cameo'd
Well, at least Haru never made someone else drink piss as part of his keikakus.
I doubt it was that bad, but /co/ is in flames because critics are bashing the movie and it has less than 40% in Rotten Tomatoes while /tv/ is feasting on DC's corpse.
I just wanted to meme in this thread.
I truly believe nearly all the hate for this anime came unwarranted from cancerous Kyoanifags. This was trying to be Tari Tari with mysteries, nothing else. Anyone likening Haruchika to a Kyoani show revealed their low power level.
That said, it wasn't as good as Tari Tari.
>tfw the staff watches anime live with everyone else
What the fuck were they eating, anyway?
If you liked the comic timing and kyuuto gaarus of this show, it's all there too with more music and better visual quality.
Fuck this, reading these translations is like reading a bad scanlated manga. Why do people that don't have a native tongue pick up translating? They can't even form coherent English sentences
It's just baffling me that the majority of translations are done by people not speaking English.
Translating dialogue is easy. Capturing the same essence of the writer you're translating from requires a writing skill equal or better than the work you translate.
But if other people can understand the mess on that site then I suppose that's fine for them.
This isn't an excuse. It's like when people upload a new album but make it really bad quality. You'll only find links to the bad quality version forever.
I completely forgot about this one, I watched up to ep 7 and uncounciously dropped it, did anything good happened after that? Maybe I'll just watch last episode and call it a day.
You can hate /tv/ all you want, might be justified I'm uninformed on that.
But western comics are literally all trash. Like all the marvel shit. With how it's all in the same universe and shit. It's stupid.
>It's just baffling me that the majority of translations are done by people not speaking English.
1. People do it to practice their English, meaning their English needs practicing
2. insert *lazy fat if English is good nuff for Jesus its good nuff for me* Murrican stereotypes here
>Translating dialogue is easy. Capturing the same essence of the writer you're translating from requires a writing skill equal or better than the work you translate.
Also true. But a grammatically correct and basically accurate translation is still better than a terrible one.
I kinda liked that episode with the coins, and that one with the hot sister, I think it was the same episode.
I didn't dropped it, I forgot it existed, that's it, also what is a MAL ranking?
My favorite show this season just for the characters.
Even though music was only the backdrop it was portrayed fairly realistically. They didn't miraculously ganbaru their way to gold. The best players were always the ones who train from child, and there were lots of those.
It felt like the whole band had a sense of camaraderie. Made them sympathetic.
Is the only notable thing to come out of this show
Chika is on screen and talking or doing things with her friends:
Sherlock-Homo is being himself or solving mysteries
>Angsty faggot no one cares about
>The worst "mysteries" of all time
The show should have just been her raping the gay out of him and telling him to shut up every time he started being "intelligent".
Well, this show is certainly better than Phantom World is. That's for sure. Liked the ending. At first, I thought HaruChika achieved less than Tari Tari did, but the scenes after the performance tied everything up really nicely.
Season 2 Never/10
How does sensei fuck them?
>fucks Haru's asshole and then uses the propellant force to make Haru's semi penetrate Chika
>Chika wears a strap-on and Sensei fucks her while she fucks Haru
>Sensei puts a dildo in his ass and fucks Haru with his ass-dildo while banging Chika in the front
>sensei lubes himself with a solution pulled from Haruta's ass
And my God that official art looks scarily perverted in HQ. Those are the faces of a secret sadist and two virgins uncomfortably aroused by their humiliating forceful deflowering.
We all know that every attractive male elementary-middle school teacher is secretly either a serial killer or a sexual sadist. If any of them actually did confess to him he'd pull out the chloroform and fetch the key to his subterranean torture chamber.
PA Works delivers kyuuto Nao-chan in the last minute.
I want to have 3.5 kids with Chika Homura!
Is that anti-KA sentiment or your own opinion? Just wondering.
I'm ambivalent about PW, though. It's definitely worse than all the other works by KyoAni, but the visuals are at least watchable.
Will this be the final thread about this show to exceed 200 posts for all time? Before it's really over I want to say this show had countless superb females and you gentlemen did a commendable job appreciating them these past 3 months.
At least they showed us a performance.
I remember that shitty band episode of Saekano last year where they animated 30 seconds of the performance and then just cut to panning shots of the street like we give a fuck about what the venue looks like.
I salute you too, anon.
I can't understate how comfy this show has been. Easily the most underappreciated of the season.
>Easily the most underappreciated of the season.
I agree, but I think the most UOTS show goes to pic related.
I wish Chika and the gay guy got together
>Rewatching first episode with Vivid subs
>Mfw that first "kyuuto garuu" hits
When a girl says "ano hito" she means her husband 99.9% of the time.
Who do you think died and caused the tortured and conflicted artist to change his course in life and then help a bunch of ragtag kids despite having world class talent?
Seriously, have you guys never watched or read any fiction before this ever?
>Phantom World is actually very, very good
I know, an episodic fantasy LN with beautiful animation and clever directing that remains fairly light in tone and still has some nice character arc episodes is a real treat.
You're cute too. But you shouldn't talk about shows you didn't watch all the way through.
No, it's obvious you don't read the threads because everyone has the first 3 posts with "ded fanbase" shit and everything else is people actually discussing the show and praising their waifus.
>It was good and underrated
>It's just that no one finished it!
No anon, it's shit.
The only way it could generate more shitposting is with an Imaishi level retarded twist and a Sawano OST. It's going to be bad, though.
But I finished it, and it's good.
Sorry you dropped it so early anon.
>KnK was shit
>PW having humor means it can't also have clever directing
Yeah, confirmed retard.
You don't have any reading comprehension, do you?
>Coming to a niche board about a niche hobby where people discuss said niche hobby that they're passionate about and complaining that people are discussing their niche hobby in a place dedicated to that hobby
>Extrapolating that they must also act like this in real life when not talking to other hobby enthusiasts because they're talking about their hobby in the designated area
How fucking stupid are you?
It's PA Works and this is the current year so of course it's CG mecha. You can see some brief footage of them at the end of the commercial.
It might not be ideal but CG mecha beats CG background mob characters, which I already have built a tolerance to by following this studio.
I hate CG, especially CG mechs. The last time I broke my rule regarding not watching shows that are about mechs and feature CG mechs was with Comet Lucifer.
I will never break my rule again.
How do you come to terms with the cognitive dissonance of thinking a show has good directing even when the show is bad? Is directing just about colorful flashiness to you or does the finished product matter at all?
It was not. It was just shitposted. It even ranked pretty highly on the nip poll, and was talked about favorably in the thread here discussing said poll. Sorry if you fell for the shitposting meme.
>Strawman. I never said that.
>Refute the statement that it has clever directing by pointing to an instance of obvious humor
>"Oh I totally wasn't implying that humor and clever directing are mutually exclusive."
Fuck off, retard.
And telephone poles doing the limbo in something that looks like it came out of a Disney movie, only to be defeated by magic bouncing boobs is fantastic.
>citing jap taste as evidence of quality
Not even that guy, but holy shit. Pull the other one.
>anything Okada write is good
She's better than you at least.
>It even ranked pretty highly on the nip poll
How much cognitive dissonance do you have to generate to delude yourself into thinking you're smart and clever when you're so fucking stupid that you misuse the term you were trying to insult me with and completely whiff on your pretend point in the same post?
>people here and Japs like it
>"Yeah but those shitposters who didn't watch more than 7 minutes or who couldn't follow the story said it was bad, so it's definitely bad"
I sure as fucking hell hope you aren't implying that Wixoss was any good. Okada writes some of the worst "characters" and melodramatic dialog I've ever seen. It's YA tier garbage that takes itself far too seriously.
It was shit.
The story didn't make sense, it was rushed and the characters were unlikeable. The best part of tat garbage was some stupid and silly rotoscoping dance and then it shifts tone to even more teen angst. Also what kind of retard uses Nips taste to defend a fucking show? Fucking stupid.
>even more strawman
I never said light hearted, fun shows couldn't have clever directing. You're just pulling shit out of your ass because you can't defend that piece of shit show.
You want clever directing in fun comfy shows? Then look at something Yuru Yuri or Nichijou.
Phantom World directing is as clever as it was Valkyrie Drive. The supposed story in every episode was just an excuse to fill in as much fanservice as possible, the characters were bland as fuck and the only personality they had were the archetypes they were based on, also the transition of the emotionless girl from bitch to the main characters friend was absolutely botched. Disney flicks are fucking mediocre btw, you're stupid if you think that's something good.
Fuck off with your shit opinions.
I watched it all, and it was mediocre at best. Definitely the least enjoyable KyoAni show, mostly because of the main character. Wow he's got a super powerful demon inside him that makes him angry. Good job, how interesting and original. He should have died at the end.
What an obnoxious faggot.
Also the glasses villain was boring and underdeveloped and felt like he was shoehorned in at the last minute. Same thing is happening with Phantom World now.
>The story didn't make sense
Ah so you were one of the idiots who couldn't follow it. I'll stop bothering you now and let you get back to your coloring book.
>Get told you're wrong
Excellent /v/ tier argument!
