A decade after, Light Yagami is still the greatest hero; and Death Note id still the single greatest, best story - in any medium - of the millennia so far.
Agreed, it is probably the most intellectually rewarding piece of media in existence..
I dunno man, I still say despite him being supposedly a "genius" he was shockingly uncreative when it came to the use of his power. I mean really, just go around offing criminals, most of whom are already in prison and no longer a threat to anybody? That's the best he can do?
I mean shit, he could have actually gotten some real political power to actually affect some legitimate changes using the abilities he had, not had to slink around in the shadows and constantly fear discovery. He took the most uninspired route possible.
I don't think you actually bothered to read any of the parts of the manga that explained his rationale. Or that you read the manga at all. Or watched the anime. Or participated in any death note threads before. Or used google.
Eh, I'll admit it's been a long time since I read the manga so I'm might be going from flawed memories here. Marathon-read the thing in a sitting or two back around when the first couple episodes of the anime first aired in Japan.
I guess that explains
Him always trying to use the Note to eliminate his enemies at points where he could've easily done so with other methods (granted that DN leaves no evidence behind;but at later in the story everyone has gained knowledge about it anyway)
Him reading porn and fucking Misa just to keep up his image for a normal guy pretty much sums it up
Not to mention if you read the manga, all of his internal monologues clearly prove this
Light is as much of a sociopath as Yoshikage Kira from JJBA
Now that I think about it, "Kira" might be a reference to that
I, Lelouch Vi Britannia order you to not have shit taste
did every single of the criminals he killed deserved death ?
was the police right to hunt him for killing criminals ?
was the purpose of the story to show that the legal system is retarded with its systematical law application ?
Has bureaucracy gone too far ?
how come the autistic detective doesn't get fat as fuck from constantly eating pastries ?
how many cocks does op stuff up his ass every night ?
This saddens our King, Lelouch vi Britannia.
I re-watched it a few days ago and it was actually even better than I remembered, it's a true masterpiece, anyone who thinks otherwise is a faggot who deserve to die and also is the typical kind of cunt who think "hurr durr I don't like because it's popular and I'm different and 2deep4dat". Even so I still think the code Geass is way better.
This desu. But for some reason I can't rewatch Death Note. Whereas Code Geass can be rewatched a number of times. I acknowledge Death Note as a masterpiece but Code Geass is better, imo.
>Asspulls: the anime
yeah, fucking no
At least there was mecha action to save this mediocre excuse of a series from being a pathetic pile of shit
Read the manga and you'll be shocked how much the anime shat on the post L arc
The ICPO members were already accusing the US of the murders being a CIA plot. In "real life", no one would assume a death note could exist and instead the world would have entered a state paranoia and eventual war when corrupt politicians, dictators, and war criminals, jihadis etc start dying in droves for no reason and lead to violent power struggles and the like.
Rewatched it as well, it was great until about the 2nd half, and it was great again in the end.
>mfw Light died like a bitch lel
It leaves quite literally no trace. If he'd kill in a different way each time, instead of just going with default heart attacks, he'd be impossible to find. EVEN if the detective knew somehow about the death note, he could only win if the user made some significant mistake.
