>I won't say goodbye
>I want to see you again
>how hard did LuNafags get BTFO here?
And people still think Luffy won't go back to dick her down. He might fuck her before the series end, when the schichibukai gets demolished and she goes to Luffy and joins the grand fleet or even the main crew.
Everyone remember to do your best to appreciate Penguin today!
Sabo? This is ZEHAHAHAHAHAHA got Epic BTFO year of *The SanjixJack is jobber threw the note you only need 3 sparrow sized next nakama happened this chapter do your best to appreciate I'm strong too, son
What would happen if Blackbeard manages to touch Luffy while he's using G3 or G4?
>"how to get to Raftel"
>not "where Raftel is" "Raftel's location" etc
Stuff like this makes me think it's not as easy as finding 2 points and using basic geometry.
This also negates the theory that only D's can find Raftel, which is retarded anyway.
post pages you saved, because you liked them
Germa 66 must either be fairly weak for killers for hire relative to the Yonko, or they explicitly will not work for the WG.
There's no way the Gorosei don't know about them.
I guess it seems maybe a bit obvious that they're unwilling to work with the WG if what they do is illegal, but at the same time, some unseen relationship between the WG and Germa 66 is the strongest explanation for Sanji's live bounty, and they also have the capacity to bargain with Big Mam.
Are they maybe under the direct control of the Celestials?
Why is one piece filler so good and fun? i decided to watch the 3 filler episodes between punk hazard and dressrosa in the anime
turns out that in this filler story, one of the Kung fu dugongs from Alabasta decided to become pirate and got his own animal pirate crew he even learned how to use haki, and decided to paint an x on his chest to look like luffy, also they figh a guy with a pet pet devil fruit and there's a luffy vs law fight, i kinda wish this little adventure was canon
I'm tired, I'll do it some other time.
The mythical weapon Uranus is actually the secret of gigantism.
On a regular cosmic basis, one of the planet's moons/satellites enters an extremely low orbit, creating a tidal event shooting water up into the sky.
Water reaches the orbiting body touching it and falling as rain upon Elbaf blessing them with gigantism.
Poseidon is a giant mermaid that commands Sea Kings
Pluton is a huge warship of terrible destruction.
Uranus is probably some form of great sky-traveling addition to ships, being a Sky God and all.
All three will be combined into a massive flying ship that Blackbeard will control, Uranus and Poseidon as the ship, and Poseidon as a living figurehead. Soaring in sky, sailing on seas, commanding Sea Kings to destroy his enemies, defeating all in his path. Leading his ultimate goal of freedom as the unstoppable force of a world without Yonkous, World Governments or Revolution.
And it will be revealed that someone in the Void Century who fought against these ancient weapons and World Government predecessor was named Queen Anne. So this use of their power against those forces will be aptly called
The Queen Anne's Revenge.
Smoker has ties to the Revolutionary Army. There has to be a reason he doesn't try and capture Dragon when they meet in Logue Town, and it would explain his departure from his post into the Grand Line (in addition to chasing the Straw Hats).
Xusasu Basasu will get Marco fruit
Could Marco be a SH candidate?
I assume no one stronger than Zoro or Sanji will ever join but you never know. Zoans are pretty boring in general (I guess that's why rumble balls were put in) but Marco's is less so.
God no. Why would you even consider it? Aokiji has a higher probability of being the 10th nakama or an honorary one. Marco will probably die doing something pivotal when the Strawhats clash with the Blackbeard Kaizoku.
I think this is such a fantastic page.
- While Luffy is away duking it out with Big Mom, Shanks sends Bonney to kidnap Zoro because he'll need help against Kid-Apoo-Hawkins alliance.
- Because SMILE users can transform their limbs into animal heads, there will be aquatic Zoans among them, and we won't have to worry about how they can live and fight out of water.
- The moon Enel is currently on is Uranus, and he will use his DF to power it up and go Death Star on the sinful Earth below.
>Chopper cures the thing that killed Roger
>Coby develops a technique that will confuse BB into thinking it is a devil fruit, try to grab him and get his head chopped in the process
Oda always claims that he choosed the rubber power for Luffy because it was funny, but he probably did so he could include gears (an enhanced physical state accesible only thanks to the specific biology granted by the DF)
Seriously, the only other fruit that lets you do that is maybe Capone's, and only after great effort and planning, and aided by his crew.
I'd like this, but even then he wouldn't be strong. I'd say that, child or adult, he'll learn how to use the cloud powers from his DF, and be of great help.
I was wondering if this thread could clear something up for me.
Why does One Piece get treated like some sort of venerated sacred cow? Why does Oda get spoken of like he's some brilliant scribe who can do no wrong? I've read this series myself and I can't see what it does differently from any other shounen ever and I just. Don't. Get it. The only unique thing about it is the more cartoony aesthetic, but it's still paced plotted and characterized like every other shounen series and I'm not seeing what's so damn transcendent and unique.
What is everyone seeing that I'm not? I don't fucking get it.
Because people are easily impressed. But one of the reasons One Piece is legitimally good is because it isn't a manga about highschoolers or spirit world BS, which everybody is already sick of. It doesn't have any stupid teenage drama.
>paced plotted and characterized like every other shounen series
It's not that exaggerated, you don't have to play extremes
The fact is that it's seen as this generation's Dragon Ball, so to say. The pirate theme is absolutely perfect for a shonen story about adventure and exploration. An extremely likeable and diverse main cast compared to most shonen, with no member being neglected.
There's deeper analysis out there but you'd have to find it yourself. I don't know about in the West, but it's actually been studied in Japan. Off the top of my head I can remember seeing a famous Japanese writer who has made a series of books analyzing One Piece but I can't remember the name. I doubt it's translated either, at least in English.
Have we actually seen that fucking whale since he was mentioned again, or was he just used to introduce Brook?
Because if we haven't it's not as impressive as people claim it is.
What were you thinking when this happened?
How did you think he was going to survive this?
There's fucking pop psychology books about the Transformers movies. Don't act like that's impressive or something.
Diverse main cast? Every woman Oda draws lately looks the same. Then you have the pervert with a heart of gold, the anime swordsman, and the silly guy who's braver than he seems. After that you're left with the reindeer, the robot, and the skeleton, who I haven't mustered enthusiasm for since their introduction.
So you're just going to downplay everything and throw simplistic generalizations around, what the point of even attempting to discuss anything with you
You just write off Nami and Robin because"they look the same" and take three characters completely out of the equation for no good reason. You're not willing to listen anyways.
Do people seriously fucking think this is still something that could happen? Are people that fucking retarded? It doesn't matter if you don't like Zoro but ignoring his character?
One Piece is a lot manlier than every other shonen currently running. Not sure if that's the appeal, but it's a stark difference. There isn't much edginess at all except in some of the villains, none in the main cast or his allies. Even Law, who a lot of anons thought would be a Sasuke clone, turned out to be very honorable and hot-blooded. It also lacks in pretentiousness.
Anon, get real. Zoro is literally the last person on the planet that will betray Luffy. Maybe tied with Sabo. I mean, I'd love to see some drama between Luffy and Zoro but betrayal? 0% chance. Shit, Zoro is more likely to haul Luffy's ass to Raftel on his own than betray Luffy.
Holy shit look at the jolly roger at the bottom ! Is it actually a forshadowing of zunisha 's death ? Damn you Oda !
(plus the forshadowing of zou with the elephant in the sky !)
>Zoro cuts up "innoocent" Giants after a party
>Luffy, half asleep, fights Zoro
Even in that scenario Zoro won't properly fight Luffy. That's how close they've gotten.
Now you're making even less sense and I didn't even think that was possible in this context. Yku thinm Luffy would stop Zoro from fighting Mihawk when he didn't even stop Sanji from potentially fighting a Yonkou? Or do you think Zoro will have to choose between his dream and the crews safety? If it's the latter then Zoro has already proved that he cares about Luffy and his dreams and the crew more than his own dream of becoming WGS.
And by manliness, I don't mean the super-macho muscular guys like from the 80s, but more of a values-based manliness based off dedication. Like Luffy climbing 5000 meters up a vertical incline while carrying two people, or Bon-chan trudging through a frozen wasteland half-dead and half-naked and fighting off a pack of wolves for Luffy, or Franky facing a train head on to save Tom, or Zoro taking all of Luffy's pain from Kuma, or Zeff giving up all his food to Sanji and cannibalizing his own leg, or Bell-mere choosing to die rather than to deny her motherhood, or Nami shouldering the burden of her entire village by working under Arlong's thumb.
That relentless self-sacrifice for the sake of your loved ones, it also exemplifies the "show, don't tell" aspect of One Piece's themes. When it comes to friendship and loyalty, Oda doesn't have his characters pay lip-service, they shed their blood, sweat, and tears to prove it by crafting these brutal scenarios to show that they are willing to do anything for their loved ones. No other shonen goes that far, least in the ones I read.
And? What does that have to do with anything? It doesn't matter how grandiose Zoro's dream is. The pure fact is that he was willing to kill himself. To let go of his dream. Just for Luffy. He explicitly stated that his accomplishing his Captain's Dream was a bigger peiority than his own.
I feel like you are just ignoring the character and reading stuff off from an A4 sheet.
Same thing when he stopped him in Gear 2. His body wasn't rubber anymore, so the high blood pressure should have torn his organs appart, but that didn't happen.
After he released him Luffy went back into Gear 2 without pumping again.
This is what Blackbeard and Luffy should be one day but right now Luffy is nowhere near Yonkou's level. Hopefully after defeating a Yonkou he will start facing off his rivals like this in between travelling. Would be a nice change since we would see naval battles and how pirates would battle on their ship.
>decide I should also be like Oda and take a break from my job every 3 or 4 weeks
Nami, Robin and Chopper have more ambitious/unprecedented dreams than the rest of the strawhats, most of the them are about equaling someone great, Luffy wants to take Rogers title, Zoro wants Mihawks, Franky wants to equal his mentor
Usopp and Brooks goals are more personal
No one's made a complete world map before, No one's revealed the truth about the Void Century before, No one's made an effective Panacea before
wasn't really sure what to say about Sanji- he's far more motivated by women than the all blue
Just going to post this because I know there will be a couple of autists who get rused.
In chapter 105, Crocus says pics related: is this translation correct? Because it's implying that Raftel is indeed the last island on the grand line, and not what we learned recently. Does anyone know if in the original japanese chapter the sentence was the same?
If not, Oda has changed his plans, he can't just make Inuarashi say "Crocus had no reason to ie to you". It sounds like a retcon.
The biggest indicator of Zoro's loyalty arguably isn't even the Kuma incident. Zoro doesn't fear death.
Zoro has always had intense pride, exemplified in his reasoning for not wanting to take Mihawk's slash on his back at the Baratie.
When he learns of Luffy's situation after Marineford, he falls on his knees and begs the man he swore to defeat with his own strength to train him. This is an incredible humiliation for someone like Zoro, which Mihawk picks up on.
This is the moment where Zoro's dream is explicitly tied to Luffy's, instead of being his own. He will become the greatest swordsman by whatever means necessary, even at the cost of his pride, to be at Luffy's side.
How to find Raftel with ONE Poneglyph:
1. Start in the point marked in the Poneglyph.
2. Start sailing in a spiral.
3. Eventually you'll find Raftel.
He wasn't "forgetting" it, he was sacrificing himself. However, Zoro's pride was more important to him than anything else, even death.
I'd argue sacrificing your very strongest values that take priority over everything is more powerful than simply giving your life.
It makes sense only if raftel is geographically after that last location where all of the paths converge. It sounds like a stretch, in the pic it looks like crocus is implying that the last island of the grand line and Raftel are the same, while now we know they aren't
Well hello there kizaru-kun.. How fast were you going when Nami faught kalifa for Sanji?
Here I'll remind you.
At that point she was helping vivi because she wanted to... BUT she had already asked for money and was sad when they forgot the money after they were leaving so.. It's still fighting for money in my opionion..
Her love for money is played for gags at times anon, it's not always played straight
When push comes to shove, she values Vivi more than the money. Same goes for anyone in the crew, her family and village.
I liked the little encounter between momonga and zoro in the Z's ambition arc.
The rest of it was dogshit aside from lily and nami.
>4 strawhats are going to save sanji
>Sanji is the 4th strawhat
>Next island is going to be the 4th arc of the new world
DO YOU REALIZE WHATS HAPPENING
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________monet is alive_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________
There have been ship vs ship battles here and there, mostly in the anime.
The problem however is that everyone is already a living fucking weapon.
Many marines even ditch their weapons when they've lvled enough because their strength/speed/skill/endurance surpasses that of conventional weaponry.
But i too would like to see more interesting ship battles that's more than just cannonballs flying all over the place.
>oda saying he can go like another 10 years means he will.
You have no proof that the series will go another ten years plus that interview was in what 2014? If that's the case then we would have around 8 or so left
I liked the fangirl pandering
Sanji doesn't need saving. His life is not in danger.. Luffy and the others are going just to convince him to come back,Especially Nami.
The one who truly needs saving tho is best boy scientist.
>Caesar will sacrifice himself for the straw-hats in a completely selfless act
>he will become nakama in his death bed
>all his kiddy diddling and WMD development will be forgiven
>it will be just like pottery
Ok the way I see it, if raftel was just at the end of the map then all oda could do was just go through each island like he has with a new threat trying to take it over. But now he has set it up to where will should have three of the poneglyph by the next two arcs. With this done they could easily find the fourth one and head to raftel which probably will be close
They explain in the chapter that Crocus wasn't lying, and the paths converge into one that ends in Raftel, but you can only continue the last leg of the path with the phoneglyphs.
Holy fuck! Did you speed read through the page I posted??? Are you the king of speed readers? Read the page again. Nami specifically says "I won't let her get away with this" referring to kalifa doing that to Sanji. Come on kizaru-kun slow the fuck down
Is there any One Piece film you like beside Strong World and Z?
Mine is pic related.
I understand Baron Omatsuri is quite popular too.
She even says it's not about the key when Sanji says sorry about the key. Read the page slowly kizaru-kun
Sadly, out of all of them, only the Baron Omatsuri one was great. Every other I felt like it relied too much on keeping the status quo. Baron Omatsuri instead didn't try to make us think it'd change something - it was purely there to show just how harsh the loss of your crew can be for a captain. Something Oda himself much later put into the series with Moria.
I know people like Z or Strong World, but personally I really didn't feel anything watching them. Even the eyecandy was limited, since so much was put into developing the setting and story, that they didn't have the time to put a bigger fight.
Probably only cool scene I remember from all of them was the non-canon, but fun way of showing how Luffy thought up of Gear 2.
>Spee D. Readers thinking Luffy can ever not be rubber
His entire body is permanently rubber, regardless of water, seastone or Blackbeard himself
So you're literally trying to argue that her fight wasn't about the key at all? Then you're just stupid anon. Sanji thought she was getting on him about not getting the key and she was just telling him she isn't mad about him not getting key, but the fact he won't fight a girl. She never once said her fight wasn't about getting the key
Oh, the irony. When Teach grabs you with his darkness, you become a normal human. That's how he hurt Luffy in Impel Down. That's how he cancelled WB's quake. That's how he hit Ace.
hm, well guess it makes sense if you saw it that way.
But i didn't expect any more (main)antagonists than the yonko and the wg.
So nothing really changed from the way i saw the story going in terms of length.
So, let's think about this:
Either you're right and Oda mysteriously forgot that Luffy would have instantly died in Gear while touched by Teach
or Teach's power works exactly like seastone, haki and being submerged in water, consistent with every time Luffy or any other fruit user has ever by disabled by the devil fruit weakness in that it allows the fruit user's 'true body' to be hit
Do you think Buggy would instantly become a gore film if grabbed by Teach?
Would Brooke just straight-up die?
Would Chopper turn into a regular brain-dead reindeer?
No, because those would all be dumb, and the same goes for Luffy
He's a rubberman no matter what now
>get revenge for her friend
There you go, now you get it. And yes I never said she wasn't after the key. Ofc she was after the key too. But at first you were trying to say that she was fought kalifa because of Robin idk why.. Does it trigger you that Nami fought kalifa for Sanji?
coming home drunk makes you type horrible posts
don't drink /a/
Would you a kitty mink?
Holy fuck, what is it with people accusing other's of being speedreaders while being a speedreader themselves?
You know Luffy and Blackbeard have actually fought? In Impel Down they exchanged a few blows, Blackbeard used his nullifying ability and Luffy stopped being made from rubber. Blackbeard's not like water or haki, he flat out cancels your devil fruit.
>The anime edited Vivi's outfit to lessen the emphasis on her tits and to make her not look pregnant
What a letdown.
Been watching random filler and movies while waiting for chapters lately.
Why does the token "Here's a bunch of animals" filler have better animation than the entirety of Punk Hazard and Dressrosa?
There is a very good chance both those things would happen to Chopper and Brook.
Both them are oddities. Once let go Chopper would regain his intelligence but Brook....he might just stay dead
Stop trying to make a new meme anon.
Actually that's the wrong anon. I was arguing that she fought for both of them. That's why I said she was fighting for the key but she fought sanji opponent for him since he couldn't
Aokiji's participation is doubtful, so allies are just an army of meatshields who's addition is unlikely to boost Blackbeard from a close loss to an overwhelming victory against Marco. At best they cancel out the remains of WB's 43 ally ships, but the core Yonko crew remains.
Except we don't know who his allies are, and everyone that was involved. It's impossible to make any assumptions now, but even meat shields can turn the tides of a battle.
For example, Jack survived 5 days because he had a never ending stream of reinforcements.
Nope, none of these things came out of nowhere and went completely against established in-universe rules. Ivankovs powers working like that is nothing strange considering all the other outworldly stuff we already have seen characters do with their powers and Luffy gaining strength after eating was already shown multiple times.
I was betting Magellan would walk off like some super evil villain without making sure to finish the job and luffy would somehow find a way to hell and come back to hunt Magellan
On OPP, they made the theory that when Blackbeard and his crew wiped out Marco and the others, they very likely killed Jozu, jacked his fruit and had Shillew eat it so now Zoro has a diamond-based foe to cut down
zoro and also luffy with that coat look so cool.
Since the man who will guide shirahoshi will obviously be luffy, i hope he'll look like this silhouette near the end
Would you a hot dog?
Ok I have some dressrosa questions 1. So trebol was a parimecia the whole time? 2. What even happened to him did he die? 3. Did diamanté die? I Mean we did see him crack his neck 4.who was sabo talking to and what was he riding on? 5. Why doesn't luffy includ his grand fleet in the attack on wano? 5. So baby 5 is apart of luffy grand fleet? 6. My main question is why didn't any of the pirates try to join law's crew? I mean he also played a part in taking down doffy
>still in denial of the SanjixNami hints
Luffy already played a huge role for shirahoshi's awakening, Why would that suddenly be shanks?
Luffy was the face of Doffy's defeat. Law may have done a lot but whateveryonesaw was a 4m Rubber tire bounce around and ruin their island as much as Doffy. Amd Usopp is with the Strawhats. No one died. Baby 5 is part of the fleet. Luffy didn't include them because he can't. They left on their merry way. He may call upon them when he gets back with Sanji. Sabo was talking some kinda crow manipulating dude. He was riding on said dude.
How did come to the conclusion that if you're using one cover page as canon proof then all the other cover pages are canon too? If that's the question then it's simple. You can't say one is canon just to support your ship and claim the rest are just drawing
Alright and this is proof that monet is alive
Look at this one. I don't have to explain this one,the bitch is blushing at him.. Simple as that. Unless you are blind or retarded then won't get what this is hinting at.
Better green haired yellow eyed grill
You can laugh when you blush, but you can also blush when you laugh. She could have found it funny.
Prove that she isn't alive, I'll wait. 1. You didn't see her die like ace and whitebeard on screen 2. Pell survived a nuke tier bomb 3. we seen sabo blow up and he came back years later did he not? 4. Sanji body survived an explosion and I'm pretty sure trebol did to.
I'm not a Monet fag, but Claiming that these cover pages are hints is stupid. And how will all the anons react if she really does return? Then they will claim that was oda hinting right
Yeah, Whiskey Peak iirc. Really suprises me how some people have died in this series.
I can't believe Thatch is fucking dead...
So are you going to say Nami didn't say she fell for Sanji? Come on guys, I thought you guys we're smarter than this
>going that far to try and disprove it
And nope she is not because as you can see she is not covered in all white make-up like a geisha. She is just dressed with traditional clothes like the rest are.
Straw Hat has been getting passed on since the void century just like how poneglyphs have guardian clans and the Poseidon blood line etc.
>One Piece is all the islands forming into one giant landmass
>Gol D. Roger treasure is not actually something physical but rather all the memories and experiences he shared with the people he met during his adventure.
I wouldn't mind if it turns out like this.
I never know how to respond to this. I mean, I get this is supposed to rile theoryposters so I try to say nothing, but I worry people think monetfriends actually believe that shit.
Cover art's non-canon. It's why he takes reader requests, it's just what idea of the crew pops up in his head at the time.
I want Oda to draw the Strawhats working a 50s american diner.
>Used Goods 30 year old woman winning the MCbowl
I don't know OP, seems unlikely
It is pretty obvious that Luffy will end up with a character that hasn't been introduced yet
>Hancock a old hag by Japan standard and Luffy rejected her many times
>Any chance of LuffyXNami was totally obliterated at Thriller Bark, the ship is literally as dead as Going Merry since years
It will be like Gol D. Roger and Portgas D. Rouge
This would make him King of a Country. Luffy wants to be Pirate King and obtain the Sea as his realm where he can be the most free man, not land.
Also, how is being a King with government/representative duties free?
how is being married the most freedom you can get?
Who said anything about diseases?
You maybe surprised how much rotten food people actually eat. What's usually wrong with rotten food is that 1. It goes bad and no longer taste good 2. Depending on how it's handled the bacteria can be deadly. But if done right it's all good
The thing is, Hancock won't settle for anything less than marriage at some point.
I always thought marriage isn't a suitable construct for the pirate life. Luffy desires freedom and getting a wife will only tie him down. Roger did it but he also knew his wife and son would be in danger, and now look. The whole family is fuckin dead.
>look what happen to roger
Ok luffy isn't roger and the marines will be different by the end of the series. I doubt they will be killing innocent people just because something could happen. And how does marriage take away freedom? I doubt Hancock will stop and control luffy. She will let that nigga do what ever he pleases
Hearts don't move on their own.
I take it back. Hancock would indeed go to extreme lengths. I suppose the real problem would be children, which she would probably want.
I simply don't see Luffy being happy in a more peaceful, mundane life as a parent but I also don't see him being a complete asshole by abandoning his kid. But would Hancock be okay bringing their kid on ridiculous adventures for the whole family? It just doesn't click.
>speed reading even through the thread
Nami said "I won't let her get away with this" referring to what happened to Sanji.
would you want oral from someone who can break chains with their teeth?
Remember that whole plot with the keys and saving Robin? I know shippers have tunnel vision when it comes to their characters but try to remember why they were there in the first place
The dragon is Big Mom, she is with the whirlpools
on the right (sanji naruto connection).
Lucci is the tiger on the left, he is related to the vinsmokes -- the head of cipher pol.
Luffy is in the middle trying to broker things between the vinsmokes/cp and big mom.
Sanji is getting eyefucked by nami, sanji hopefully gets the frog zoan or mythic zoan kappa as a wedding gift.
Sanji is looking away from
Nami because he is no longer interested now that she knows his secret, most women would now marry him for his money and his chance of finding real love in his life is maybe gone.
Zoro is back at home guarding the island and fighting Jack.
i don't know if it is/was different in some countries.
But usually in monarchies you can't become king unless you are the son of a king/queen
e.g the husband of queen elizabeth II is not a king, he's a duke.
The husband of queen margrethe from denmark is not a king, he's a prince.
Caesar will never actually leave the Strawhats, and will forever be an unofficial Strawhat.
He will take up the slave position of the crew.
The only exception to this is he will be stolen then retrieved again. Later on he will "betray" the Strawhats by joining Teach and fighting them, but once things start going souch for the BlackBeard Pirates Caesar will return (forcefully?) to the Strawhats side.
I actually agree with every part except for the betrayal part. I do believe he will be a unwanted crew member who sanji will continuously abuse. And their could be a retrieval arc but not sure about that.
Oh that's true but i was looking at this more as sanji save arc and since he has no place to go sanji would be his tsundere self and bring him along. Then since you know he a convicte who's no longer under the protection of a shichibukai the marines would get him but the strawhats despite the fact they act like they hate him they still go to bring him back.mmy only problem with this I don't want to see another retrieval arc
>How did Brook grow up to be a skeleton if he was alive first
Or something along those lines. That anon made me crack up.
