So why is Studio DEEN a bad studio again?
>only 10 episodes long
>never getting a second season
It keeps fucking happening
Konosuba was confirmed for a second season though.
I liked 2013's Rozen Maiden.
The last part was rushed as shit bit I liked the whole thing until last episodes.
Rakugo has gotten better and better, the last few episodes have been fucking amazing.
DEEN can only do comedy nowadays.
>the one time you wanted DEEN to do a S2
Higurashi, Hell Girl, Eat-Man, Initial D: Third Stage, the 2001 Read or Die OVA, and
Mouse. I'm sure there's more. Obviously these productio s only make up a tiny fraction of the total number of anime to have come out of Deen, but it's ridiculous and fucking stupid to pretend that none of these things exist.
They got lucky with the source material being actually you know, good.
Add that up with a director that has a penchant for comedy, and VAs that actually fit their characters like a glove.
They put their B-Team into this plus Kadokawa ordering only 10 episodes for this. Makes you already think that they thought that it wouldn't be popular.
>So why is Studio DEEN a bad studio again?
They are not a BAD studio. They are a CHEAP studio. There is a difference. DEEN is where you get what you paid for. A "Bad" studio is when you pay them 2.5 million US dollars for 1 cour and still get crap quality. We don't know how much Deen charges, but it must be lower than the 2.5 million going rate.
S2 was awful though Anon.
I guess everyone missed this one, but DEEN is also doing Rilu Rilu Fairilu this season and it's super cute.
Though it's so forgotten that it doesn't even get subs.
It's not that bad, but it's not good either.
I mean, Konosuba, Seitokai and Korean Zombie were okay but Fate, Umineko and Database was fucking shit.
And I'm not even gonna start talking about the animation quality, the Rooftop fight in Higurashi was fucking garbage.
but Kira and Outbreak was okay
>>never getting a second season
That Higurashi fight wasn't "bad" in the sense that it was a low-effort scene by some random animator. Seiya Numata animated that and he's a pretty good animator, the fight has got some energetic movement. Not sure why the animation supervisor gave him free reign to draw the characters as he pleased though.
At least post a better looking shop.
