Friendly reminder of Tekkadan member’s size, can Atra reach the pedals? I guess she can
Ein finally got Shino, but he didn’t finish him of for reasons
>"is character X dead"
No, they just ran out of tampons
If all it takes to create machine is a simple procedure, why haven't they done that their other soldiers? It's hard to believe they didn't have wounded soldiers before.
Ein is OP. He wasn't that good of a pilot before to begin with.
There's also the thing that the AV system isn't exactly a thing that Gjallarhorn wants to spread.
Also, even with Gjallarhorn Technology the chances of Ein surviving the surgery was low.
I dare say I do.
It was apparently used during the big war a long time ago but has fallen in disuse since there are no big wars anymore. So far everyone who has even heard the Alaya-Vijnana process being mentioned has reacted negatively, to say the least. Seems like it's a big taboo.
Ein just happened to be in the right place at the right time to be turned into a guinea pig.
They'd have others in their ranks who would be willing to do that operation. And like I said, they'd have their own wounded fighters to try it on. It's not like Ein was the only one to ever be wounded.
This doesn't explain why they haven't tried it more than once.
This sounds very convenient for the plot. And the new operation is newer than Alaya Vijnana. So this means Gallajhorn was working on it for quite some time.
Does anyone else get a tiny bit of mechwarrior vibe from IBO? All these mobile worker units fighting their own battles while the MS fight each other. Probably mostly cause Eugene's group showed up with those white LRM units. That and the urban combat setting.
Then you have your different types of MS pilots ranging from berserker to 'muh honorable duels' types.
Probably because it's really extreme and they haven't needed them. The Earth Sphere seems to have been peaceful and the rest of Gjallarhorn most likely already has the upper hand against pretty much anyone they're fighting. The Graze itself seems to be more advanced than a regular one so the operation alone wouldn't put someone on Grazein's level, they'd also need to pour resources into better mobile suits and the whole thing would just be overkill.
Also, didn't ChocoChar say something about neo Gjallarhorn discouraging cybernetics and the AV system because they don't want them used against them? It's entirely possible the only reason they let Ein have it done is because Gali Gali is part of the Seven Stars and thus has a fair amount of influence and he's the one who actually asked for it.
The cockpit seat is raised here but that piston was just feet away from his head.
Ein is tired of all this bullshit, but really he going nuclear next episode, his death could be considered a mercy kill
/m/ perpetuates an imaginary board war betwene /a/ and /m/ and gets pissy whenever anything here mecha related gets talked about, there are people over that that are so daft they actually think aldnoah zero was well received here even though it and guilty crown mgiht be the 2 anime that brought /a/ together to collectively shit on a single show
It was just the debris. For some reason Ein was avoiding the cockpit the entire time, even while tearing off the lid. He's actually helped the rescue party with that because now they have easier access. Thanks Ein.
The va of half bald guy is the Major in Hellsing OVAs
>tfw Camille was a Nazi
You can't just force people to do operations like that, a thing called ethics and personal choice get in the way. Someone would basically have to legally sign their life away to get that procedure done. Ein shouldn't of actually legally received it because he had no way to consent.
Camille VA voiced the poop doctor
This was a beautiful shot. It's like the time they cranked up the sakuga during Fumitan's final scene.
Second Season, unless they go for a "and so, with victory under their belt, their adventure continues and McGillis is suddenly not a threat" ending.
Either way, they'll accomplish their immediate mission next episode.
>People thought Ein wouldn't kill anyone
>People thought those "Muh revenge" kids wouldn't get their comeuppances
Shame he took out the Turbine girls though. But everyone else deserves their fate
Tekkadan works for her, she is not part of them
Jesus christ /m/ really does shit all over IBO and compare it to Aldnoah. Nigguh Aldnoah copied a lot of shit from preexisting mecha shows. Quit trying to act like Aldnoah was new and innovating and restarted the mecha anime genre.
/m/ used to be based, but all the kiddies that flocked to /m/ during Aldnoah and G-Reco really fucked the board over.
>Aldnoah literally reinvented realistic mecha
>Aldnoah literally reinvented realistic mecha
>Aldnoah literally reinvented realistic mecha
fuck I'm out
>Merribit: You guys are mad all the kids are going to die
>They all die
Well I guess the rest will smile more like Orga said since they pay is divided by less
Minus Ride and Takaki unfortunately.
>Aldnoah literally reinvented realistic mecha, dumbass. Its the reason why the genre is moving towards realism with new series like IBO and Heavy Object.
Even as a joke/bait, this is in bad taste.
Please respect yourself more.
>Almost all the orufenz used as bait died
An offering to Carta-sama!
never. unless you're willing to pay cartoon network 5,000,000 for the rights and then another 6-9,000,000 to make a well-made 13 episode season.
I wish they would stop killing all the white haired girls.
She's in the wrong genre, she's obviously a shoujo heroine.
>Aldnoah literally reinvented realistic mecha
>Its the reason why the genre is moving towards realism with new series like IBO
wouldn't be the first time someone got their followers killed
Whats with these names
Are they all from the crimson demon clan?
>Consistently gets shit done.
>Skilled MW pilot.
>Competent second in command.
>Piloted an entire war ship through AV link alone.
>Without him going on a suicidal mission to blow up the achor line they would have been captured by gjallarhorn.
>Showed up with reinforcements just as the mission was about to fail.
>Isn't a virgin.
Can we all agree that Eugene is the most Based character in this series?
no gundam tries do be dark and edgy with political stuff and existencial shit why do I have to kill all this people
I dont want to fight
protag is always a kid who is obliged to fight
>Gaelio suddenly goes from calling AV gross and inhuman to pissing on space rats for being "knock-offs"
Is this the Ein faggotry that's fogging his mind or does this man really have such bendable views on things
>a man who was exiled is not only able to run in the election but also has a chance at winning just by showing up at the conference hall on election day while having terrorists raze him a path
How do elections work in the IBO universe? I literally don't understand.
I mean, Ein is literally called one, so odd names seem to just be in vogue in the future.
Why is /m/ allowed to shitpost on /a/?
>morbid shit goes down, death everywhere
>still mostly interested in playing the cool badass facade
No, fuck this cunt, all he cares about is appearances because he is a weak cunt. He'd fucking cry after one hour of combat in a mobile suit.
It's his fault Merribit didn't open the door.
He wasn't exiled by his own people. He was run off by Gjallarhorn. It was a political exile, not a literal exile. It seems that bloc leaders are elected by either representatives or some sort of council, but have to be there in person. He is supposed to have been a very popular leader who could have easily been re-elected, which is why Gjallarhorn tried to get rid of him because their puppet can't win otherwise.
>dark and edgy with political stuff and existencial shit
ehh, not what I'm looking for.
>hot blooded optimistic
I gotta admit that's what I liked in the first episodes of Gurren Lagann
It's called cognitive dissonance. It's a rather common phenomenon.
>cognitive dissonance theory is founded on the assumption that individuals seek consistency between their expectations and their reality. Because of this, people engage in a process called dissonance reduction to bring their cognitions and actions in line with one another.
> In an example case where a person has adopted the attitude that they will no longer eat high fat food, but eats a high-fat doughnut, the four methods of reduction are:
>Change behavior or cognition ("I will not eat any more of this doughnut")
>Justify behavior or cognition by changing the conflicting cognition ("I'm allowed to cheat every once in a while")
>Justify behavior or cognition by adding new cognitions ("I'll spend 30 extra minutes at the gym to work this off")
>Ignore or deny any information that conflicts with existing beliefs ("This doughnut is not high in fat")
Gaelio had to deal with himself making a monster out of Ein, so he changed his beliefs to reduce his own guilt and distress.
The way things are between them, she might kill Orga when this is all over.
> Mika dies
> Orga goes insane
> cocks up a plan that would probbly get most of the kids killed
> Merribit kills him
> goes to get the kids to safety
> they kill her for killing Orga
> last scene is italian gigolo fucking his harem, in space
I have no idea where Okada is going with these two.
The first time she appeared it looked like they would sleep together on the first night but now it would take a miracle for them to even be in the same room without fighting.
Plus it isn't bad!I mean, this is the true AV system developed by glorious Former Gjallarjorn! The martian one is still gross, and it turns out its just a cheap knockoff too!
Go Super Ein! You represent Gjallarhorns greatest ideals and technology!
>Ein: "Grahlolmph Revenge smggrglsh Crank Drrghrd foot blenders!"
>What's your bank?
>Why BankBank, of course.
Yeah, exactly. Though he didn't cross that water by himself, McGillis helped a great deal.
>Ein: "Grahlolmph Revenge smggrglsh Crank Drrghrd foot blenders!"
This Episode, this Episode right here was just too Hype. I think its the first my expectations has been been blown away. Incredible Episode i hope this Show gets a Second Season.
>comparing Based Birdy to some X-Whore
I bet she doesn't even gleefully rip robots apart with her bare hands for fun
>Orga starts talking big about how Tekkadan will become involved in the economic blocks war against Gjallarhorn
>he gets shot right in the face
>Mika spins around, gun on the ready
>but he hesitates when he sees Merribit
>his mind can't comprehend that a part of the family would harm another
>Merribit smiles and then blows her own brains out before he gets a word out
>Kudelia buys Tekkadan and disbands it, making sure to find families for the younger orphans and employment for the older ones
>Mika gets the farm he dreamed of
>but his crops won't grow
>he doesn't know what to do without Orga telling him
>before long he digs up Barbatos
>last shot of the Gundam walking into a combat zone somewhere with another mercenary troop
Kind of a downer, but I'd like it.
I am suprised nobody mentioned this, but you should totally watch G-gundam if you want some hot blooded goodness.
It is the only gundam series that is all about hotbloodedness.
And like if the stupidity levels weren't off the charts already thanks to /m/, /co/ joins the fray
god damn it
>His gundam is a boxing surfing football player.
God I love the shows gundam designs.
Not really, no. But at least it showcased a seldom-used canon Japanese mutant: Armor.
Have you seen its upgrade in the manga?
>Be a woman in Gundam who actually lives
>Get cucked by a dead woman
>this is neat
Please tell me you don't have the same carpeting at home.
>Mika kills Ein
>Gali kills Choco (as planned)
>Makanai elected and gets Gjallarhorn to back off
>Kudelia becomes a political figure
>Final scenes are Tekkaden in complete PTSD about how the money they received wasn't worth the loses they took
Atra dies next episode
>Mika disables Ein
>Ein is on the ground raging at him
>Mika tells him to shut and lifts Barbatos's weapon for the killing blow
>Ein sensors notices his bracelet through the hole in Mika's cockpit
>Notices Atra has the same one
>He laughs as Mika swings down
>A shot is heard
>Ein used his shoulder gun to fatally wound Atra with an indirect hit
Victory if you need women killing boner satisfied.
I couldn't even get past Wolverine's first episode, Iron Man's I did not watch so I can't comment.
The protag of Gundam Age is a man who never quite gets over his dead sweetheart, to the point of starting a genocide crusade
She's the second choice of the MC. The girl Flit loves is the tragic newtype romance of the series while she's the childhood friend who he only hooks up with after his first love dies horribly. It was a common joke in AGE threads to call her a silver medal.
Victory Tomino when full emo on this one
Or the Indian dude who rode his snake to form NAGA GUNDAM.
Or based Space Holland's windmill mech army.
God, that show was cheesier than a fondue restaurant and I loved every second of it
Chibodee Crocket truly is an american hero.
> "ok, MC is a virgin naive kid, girls, just dress in the skimpiest outfit you can find and fly around with bazookas, he won't kill you"
> he loses his shit
> top class pilots get slaughtered while wearing bikinis because of a retarded plan
>tfw your waifu is killed
>tfw you have a son with an annoying bitch and is a fag
flit had a hard life
Probably not. He's going to get beat up and Barbatos is going to get torn to hell though. I'm thinking it's going to end like how he killed Crank, with Graze Ein's cockpit exposed and Mika just shoots him with a pistol.
Damn, poor girl.
>tragic newtype romance
Damn I hate these. It was rather cute with Lallah and Amuro, or even Puru's one sided one with Judau, but the rest all feel forced. And let's not even mention Lacus and Yamato. Though I suppose it would make sense that their respective blandness would attract them to one another.
>Your granson sides with a bunch of fanatical monsters because one of their members was a little girl who died.
Emily polluted the glorious Asuno blood line. There's a reason only Flit got an awesome gold statue.
He was the most handsome.
Oh these, yeah they're pretty cool. But that's about the only cool thing about IBO's background art. There is no excuse for the blandness of the colonies and earth cities. Just look at Edmonton this episode. It's all bleak and bare. I suppose they imitated current day's architecture as a way to remind us that in this world time stopped because people stopped researching new technology since the calamity war. But surely there was a way to give these cities more personality so we can at least distinguish them from one another. Oh well, I suppose they just didn't care.
This son of a bitch right here must die seriously. He is the most drspicable character in all the show. He better not kill his brother in law
>better not kill his brother in law
I kinda get what you mean but oh boy you phrased it in the worst possible way. Aldnoah had these moments where you had to study the mecha and outsmart the fucker and that was really neat, understanding how they work. Same with Heavy object, but they are nowhere close to reinvent a genre.
They already pulled the most realistic version of that trope possible, with Kudelia blowing the lid on Gjallarhorn's Ruanda and them having to pull back due to the media fallout.
I doubt that'll work twice.
Grimgerde is made from the "Valkyrie Frame" Which was developed at the same time as the gundam frame and is also a limited production machine. It however was greatly overshadowed by the gundam frame and was mostly forgotten.
Gjallarhorn based the Graze frame off of it.
they're voting for their prime minister or something
since he was exiled he has to be there in person for basically a coup of the government (not the bloody kind since he'll get voted in)
>It however was greatly overshadowed by the gundam frame and was mostly forgotten
Why base your newest frames upon the inferior frame? Now I'm curious, maybe there's some taboo/story about gundams.
Macky was entertaining so far.
But there comes a time where his dickery has to end.
I'm fully aware that Mika probably has to be the one to ultimately push his shit in, but I feel like Gaelio should at the very least live to see him get his comeuppance, given that he's the one who's been causing him grieve all along.
It's slow, and even when we do get a robot fight it's full of pans and shit animation
Which would be fine if the character-driven scenes were any good, or if the exposition was interesting
Tekkadan was only hired to take Kudelia to Earth, then they got roped into taking Makanai to Edmonton. Once they get them there, their job is done, they get paid and get to go home. Not that it'll actually go that smoothly.
>run in an election that he should have no chance of winning?
He was very popular before GJALLARHORN AND NOT HIS OWN BLOC muscled him into exile because he was too big of a threat in the upcoming elections for their puppet candidate. He is still supposed to have a lot of supporters and be very popular. If they can get him to the election he has a very good chance of winning. There's nothing illegal about him running as Gjallahorn is not supposed to be able to effect an internal affair of the power blocs.
It will be an extremely shitty ending if he gets to kill Gaelio and then go to help Mikazuki against Ein. The guy betrayed his friends from childhood, became buddy with the enemie then betrayed them and now taking their side again. If he gets a happy ending pmis fucking his friends sister then its going to feel really bad. Gaelio must take him out even if he dies.
>Expect that to just be a cherrypicked in-between
>Actually a stillshot that's focused on for several seconds
is this show good or not? last mecha show i watched was aldnoah and that was terrible after episode 3 and straight up trash midway into season 2. before that, valvrave and season 2 was also horrible.
>became buddy with the enemie then betrayed them and now taking their side again
Except he never betrayed them. Sending Carta to get rekt and turning Ein into a lunatic robot was part of his plan.
>valvrave and season 2 was also horrible.
Should have watched Majestic Prince instead.
Gundams don't naturally have the AV system. Both both the Gundam Frames and AV system were developed together.
Thus far in the show the Barbatos and Gusion Rebake have had their AV systems artificially added after the fact.
The 72 Gundam Frames have Dual Ahab reactor systems which are notoriously difficult to manufacture 2 drives that will sync like the GN drives in Gundam 00.
The only thing wrong with older /m/... outside of 40k, was that we enjoyed dank memes waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much.
Thus people now genuinely believe shit like char's midlife crisis.
>Giant mecha will never come to Maryland
It's because of all the niggers in Baltimore isn't it?
>Gundams don't naturally have the AV system.
According to McGillis, the 72 gundam frames were made to use the original AV system. They were made AFTER the creation of the AV system according to him.
because edgy and cool that's why
>you will never have two robots charge at each other down Pratt Street.
Jesus just how many people did they lose? Is there even going to be any Tekkadan left after this mission? Just imagine them returrning to Mars in a almost empty ship, fucking depressing.
/m/ avoids pleasant mecha discussion like the plague.
Otherwise you guys would actually be talking about Bubuki Buranki
What happened there?
The fight of Mika vs Gali Gali was cut just when they clashed. After a few scenes Mikazuki flies into the city and Choco appears deus ex machina to fight Gali Gali.
They could put more detail in the scene when the ED transition begins, too.
Starts kinda bumpy, but it really hits its stride very soon.
The kids grow on you, the villains are cool and surprisingly multidimensional, the central mystery is intriguing and just when you think you know which direction the show will take, it actually introduces an entirely new twist to the game.
I recommend you at least wait until the first actual Bubuki fight before you discard it.
Also awesome OP and ED.
Fuck you, he's the best character in the show.
plot is all over the place but when this girls showed up it was worth it
