I don't think there is a single anime that /a/ on average accepts as being totally amazing AND has most of /a/ at least accept it as having a "good" rating.

If it is commonly accepted as at least "good" by most, like I think /a/ views Casshern Sins, it isn't 9/10 or 10/10 good by those people. If there is an anime that is viewed very highly by a lot of people, there is a bunch of people that view it lowly (FMAB is an example, Code Geass also)

tl;dr Anime with a higher % of anons viewing it highly have a greater variance of ratings.

It's been out since of 06. The recent anime got those mal babies into it but the series is still incredibly good even if the amount of pure comedy episodes has decreased.

I'm don't mean to be a stereotypical /a/non but I cannot fathom how this show gets so much praise. At most, I'd call it a graceful generic shonen. It never strives to do anything more than what you'd expect from a genre. It doesn't have an incredibly indepth lore like Naruto, nor the intense moments like Code Geass or Death Note, not incredible writing like Samurai Champloo or Bakemonogatari.
