I simply mentioned that because this board would call Raskolnikov a pussy and a bitch for going crazy after the murder.

The whole length of DN can be seen as the crime 'part' of C&P, from Light's larger-than-life pride to being misery incarnated. The punishment 'part' of C&P would the natural sequel if a Death Note 2 would ever be made.

At any rate, some of this board's icons are harem shows, light novels and LotGH of all things, so I'm not even expecting any serious discussion outside of the norm is possible.

Light did indeed die like a bitch, because he begged not to die while simultaneously claiming he was a god with absolute jurisdiction on who should live and who shouldn't. He did beg for his life, pathetically, like Raskolnikov when he tried to stay out of prison. Light's claim of being a god is akin to Raskolnikov's delusions before committing the crime.

Do I need to repeat everything a third time for you to understand my post? I am not saying both works are identical not even resemble each other to a large extent, obviously I wouldn't go as far; I just mentioned how these 2 aspects of both Kira/Light and pre-crime Raskolnikov/post-crime Raskolnikov can be seen as parallels and why I pity Kira instead of calling him a bitch.

Also your comparisons between Light and Raskolnikov are flawed. Light goes from Light > Kira, whereas Raskolnikov has the opposite character arc. That's why you're meant to pity Raskolnikov at the end and cheer Kira's death.
