Left or Right?
Enri will either
1. beat ainz when he turns full evil
2. help him retake nazarick when he gets BTFO
Anon, those are just concerpt art. They are not released in the offical Anime artbook.
Nobody has them
No they weren't, they wanted them to genuinely get away
so they can test their hunting/tracking unit capabilities.
It just never reached that point because geezer's team chose to hunker down. Some of the maids were literally worried they might be failing their orders.
I remember asking him when he was done, he said since the setting has gone way off overlord and turned it into an original one and since it was quite big work he would only do a phys edition. Tried asking in other threads how itcwas going and if he was going to sell it but he did not appear.
Yeah he and Pereroncino are pretty sexy.
could*, but what purpose would he serve?
Infiltrator to e-rantel?
Sent to gather intelligence of enri's horde?
Spy master of the office Prime Minister Raeven under the new king?
Would you play an Overlord game where you as Ainz wanders around Nazarick and make social links with the NPCs?
In the end you need to choose a queen and if the queen you chose isn't either Albedo or Shalltear, you need to face both in a boss battle. The NPCs you have reached maximum relationship help you in the battle.
>if the queen you chose isn't either Albedo or Shalltear, you need to face both in a boss battle.
>implying they would actually fight Ainz of their own volition
Yeah I don't see that happening, but besides that the rest is good.
Can't wait to see the reactions when Ainz finally gets what he deserves and get BTFO by
Eclairin the end and Nazarick gets conquered. pic not related
working on lewd Yuri series
From what I understand,
Ygg doesn't have tier 0 spells, so just bump everything else up by one (cantrips are tier 1, level 9 spells are level 10) and super spells are basically epic spells (http://www.d20srd.org/indexes/epicSpells.htm)
Though obviously everything is tweaked a bit for MMO gameplay
Nailed to the Sky's a pretty fun one
Nailed to the sky actually places the target so far from the surface of the world and at such a speed that it keeps missing the surface as it falls back, so it enters an eternal orbit. Unless the target can magically fly or has some other form of non-physical propulsion available, the target is stuck until someone else rescues it. Even if the target can fly, the surface is 2 to 4 hours away, assuming a fly spell, which allows a maximum speed of 720 feet per round while descending. The target may not survive that long. Depending on the world where nailed to the sky is cast, conditions so far from its surface may be deadly. Deleterious effects include scorching heat, cold, and vacuum. Targets subject to these conditions take 2d6 points of damage each from heat or cold and 1d4 points of damage from the vacuum each round. The target immediately begins to suffocate.
“…Ainz-sama, were you feeling unhappy? They should have arranged for a maid other than Entoma to come. I will go and reprimand them later.”
“For letting Ainz-sama to hear that rude little girl’s voice once more—
Do the denizens of Nazarick have something against Entoma? Is it because she was beaten by New Worlder´s?
A tactical musou game.
You play as Ainz and start at level 100 with all your forces already there.
Use your undead powers to increase your numbers and conquer the world.
You and your servants can't level up and the cost to revive someone is high so you have to manage your army well or it will cripple you.
Origin of the species a best, make your own monster waifu.
“To think you survived so far! It seems I have underestimated you! Come forth, my minions!”
The five weapons formed themselves into the points of a star, and then thrust themselves into the ground. Five monsters appeared from those places.
Level 87: Primal Fire Elemental
Level 87: Primal Water Elemental
Level 87: Primal Air Elemental
Level 87: Primal Earth Elemental
Level 90: Primal Star Elemental
Each of them was the same size of the boss, and they were monsters of equivalent level to Momonga and the others.
The six of them, including the boss, would surely crush them into a paste.
He had not expected the boss to be this powerful.
If the next time Jircniv or some other dignitary come to Nazarick and they see Albedo or Shalltear prego´s would their evaluation of Ainz change? Jircniv thought Ainz only purpose was to anihilate all life but if he so willingly partakes in its creation perhaps he is not as evil as he may think?
This is obviously the best Overlord game, I thought of it while playing some RPG game, it should provide challenging combat :
You start out as a fresh permanent undead summon of the lowest rank, a skeleton warrior or skeleton mage depending on your choice, Ainz wants to send you and some other summons to do some quests that he doesn't think are that important.
On your quest you meet enemies that can be challenging, from monsters to adventurers, occasionally your master telepathically contacts you asking questions and giving updated orders.
With the money you earn in quests, you can buy items and equipments from shopkeeper-sama PA, he might give you some missions since he can't really leave Nazarick.
Through your quests you find that you can level up by finding certain magical items or [insert plot reason here].
Leveling up adds job levels and racial levels, this can move you from being a low level summon to a stronger one like the DK, veteran/elite skeleton guard, elder lich, overlord, or whatever depending on your capabilities and what you were (soldier or mage).
You can have teammates that can also level up, but only those of around your current rank or lower, this includes non-Nazarick allies like lizardmen and goblins.
Later on you start challenging adamantine adventurers and heroes, and by piecing together all the small information you gather from combat and quests (and lucky coincidences) , you end at either the BS with a WCI or PDA depending on the plot, at that stage you can't beat them, but Demiurge comes to the rescue.
>as expected of Ainz-sama's summon, you were able to find our main enemies! Ainz-sama must have had this planned when he summoned you!
Admit it, it sounds good.
You could be an experiment in self-directed, evolving undead. All the Nazarickians mildly resent you because they're jelly but you should be able to win them over.
Like >>138900276 said.
Maybe, but that also works well as a name for the game.
Overlord : The Chosen Undead
Sounds fancy, if a bit cheesy maybe.
Why would she? You would be the chosen undead, not the chosen NPC.
Shalltear on the other hand will likely be jealous.
Then Ainz needs to compromise and names you the chosen summon instead.
At one point in the game you need to choose between the Albedo's faction and the Shalltear's faction. Your choice can change drastically the game, because the faction you choose will protect you while the other one would try to fuck you.
I think the best part about this idea is that it gives you a valid reason for the player character to be silent or just have simple RAWR sounds instead of having to speak your voice lines whenever you choose dialogue choices.
I mean, it's an Overlord game. It's gotta be fully voiced by the regular cast right?
I would love a Souls-like game where you are an adventurer infiltrating Nazarick and fighting through every floor, fighting every Floor Guardian and the meidos, only to face Ainz at the end,
and then PA shows up as Bonus Boss and rapes your ass.
I mean, the description of Nazarick and its defenses sounds Dark Souls as fuck.
>running after meidos
More like trying to run away. Stalked by Entoma for arms. Stalked by Solution for your screams. Stalked by Lupu because of reasons.
Ok.. so are we gonna visit Renner to level up? BS members teaching faith/hex spells...
Climb chain quests. O man, the horror.
Nigredo: provides your minimap and quest advice. Very gentle voice and goes "Undead-kun? Undead-kun?!" when you die.
Yuri-nee: physical combat instructor. You can make her head fall off, it annoys her.
CZ: ranged combat instructor. Most of her lines are ...(She seems to be implying something).
Narberal: arcane magic instructor. Excessively formal. Is very happy if you choose to master lightning magic.
Lupu: clerical magic instructor. Keeps trying to make you do cruel things.
Solu: rogue instructor. Constantly regurgitates screaming half-melted heads to taunt them.
Entoma: designated bullying victim.
Lastborn: secret route, you can only talk to her by using teleporters long enough that she decides to address you.

If this was a dating sim Mare would be that girl who is always reading books at the library and you would raise your affection by getting her rare books(magic scrolls) and plant monsters, also Shalltear would only harass you if you were a female undead or just female

OVERLORD: SAGA OF THE CHOSEN UNDEAD
Protagonist is an experimental undead being, made by Ainz as an experiment to see if he can design a creature able to develop and grow like a NW resident.
Protagonist spends the first few levels in Nazarick, learning the ropes, and is then allowed to leave Nazarick and explore the NW (Ainz doesn't want to restrict the Undead's freedom). Undead-san is allowed to become an adventurer under Momon's sponsorship and can rise through the ranks.
Standard adventuring shit is easy peasy as you rise through the ranks. Of course, your ultimate loyalty is to Nazarick, and Ainz sometimes sends you and the lower-levelled side characters to do things for him.
You can get gear from PA or humans. Obviously anything made by Nazarick is far superiot to human stuff, but Ainz will not allow Undead-san to possess gear that is too strong since Undead-san might be defeated and lose it. The stronger Undead-san gets, the better stuff Undead-san gets..
Pleiades are the main trainers, but the Floor Guardians are the secret trainers.
Albedo is the harried, standoffish person who issues orders in place of Ainz, she can be won over if Undead-san innocently asks if she's Ainz's wife.
In general Undead-san is polite, respectful and curious, much like Death Knight-kun. DK-kun himself is trying to learn martial arts from Zaryusu, and you can help him succeed (after learning MA yourself, of course).
Combat system is similar to Dragon's dogma. Being undead you have infinite stamina, but you have to pretend to be tired from time to time. No such restriction exists when Ainz orders you to show the power of Nazarick.
>undead-kun has no idea what to do
>he ends up cuddling her for the entire hour instead
"I learned about sex, Ainz-sama!"
"Grk! How... how does it go?"
"Simple! You put her in your arms and pat her gently on the head! Don't know where the babies come from, though."
Maybe before that she was raped by a Worker and everyone cast her out as a filthy whore, even her engaged fiancé. She went all over the place looking for someone to take her in before meeting her compassionate and loving husband.
Then the rest happens.
How bad was the armor design for females in Ygg?, if you remember the mob players from Ainz flashbacks had that ridiculous MMORPG typical armor, yet they were beating DK's so they were at least 40+s, so if those chicks came to NW would they be hurt if you hit them whre they are uncovered? or would it be like some kind of invisible force field?
>Questioning bikini armor in fantasy settings
Ygg isn't shit so you can't simply get away with skimpy bikini armor. It's probably why Shalltear and Albedo are fully armored when in combat gear, because their creators actually gave a shit.
>"Simple! You put her in your arms and pat her gently on the head! Don't know where the babies come from, though."
>Mare at background taking notes.
>Starts questioning what Aura is doing with her pets
>So that girl in the anime was using that armor for cosmetics instead of real combat?
In any mmo, there are min/max players and cosmetic players. That is why mmos let the players have the ability to "glamour" their their armour set to make it look like something else.
If Ygg is such a "Money, pls" mmo as it is said to be, chances are even that need money.
Maybe, maybe not. Depends on her build, the armor stats, etc etc. There's always exceptions, but we don't know enough about the scrubs to make any good guesses.
Again, read the light novels if you wanna know about the game mechanics stuff. Or hell just look up the wiki if you can't be bothered I'm sure you'll be at least 40% more informed and only 10% more misinformed, a good trade. Specially when so many are misinformed even when reading the novels.
Ainz was rubbing Aura and Mare when they first met in the colosseum, they're going to say that they're pregnant from Ainz.
The next day Shalltear, Albedo, Neuronist, the maids, Demi, Cocytus, and so on are queuing up for headpats.
Semen isn't a problem in Ygg because no 1+ stuff.
In the NW, Clem was just wearing it because she's insane in the membrane, and her fighting style relies on super high speed charges which heavier armor would restrict.
That armor is an anime only thing. The same anime that change Albedo's bulky genderless armor into the curvy one with boob plate. In other words, there is no such thing in the canon.
So I've got a question: What the hell is a "Primal Star Elemental"? I remember reading in the spoilers for BD6 that Ainz summons an Primal Elemental for each element, but what the hell is the star element suppost to be?
>Then you shouldn't read the spoilers
I can't resist them anon I'm dying for more Overlord, I need to get my fix somehow.
Plus, I thought it might be something taken from DnD so some anon might've known what it was.
They have the exchange box so has long has they can find materials that are worth something the box will give them money. And I'm sure it's possible to raise that ammount in the NW, thought it would take a long time.
Ainz prepared 500 million gold to revive Shalltear, not just 150 million.
And the raw materials are all low grade but should be sustainable. Ainz had plans to start up farming using undead laborers to raise wheat, and he also looked into ore qualities should he invest in mining. Furthermore, it can easily be said that through their magical and technological prowess, Nazarick could raise the quality of the raw materials. However, I still believe it will take a long time to recoup the loses from Shalltear's revival
>He should find a oil field and dump it at the bottom
Anon, for all we know in the future oil might not worth anything at all.
It should worth something in that world. Oil is use for lantern in that world. It's expensive for villagers to use so they sleep early when the sun go down but in cities they used it every night for night activities
The oil they use in the cities ain't the oil that comes out of the ground. Moreover like you said, expensive in 1 place ain't so in another.
That money box works according to Ygg rules.
>Moreover like you said, expensive in 1 place ain't so in another.
Not that anon but, shouldn't there a be a kind of universal value to someting for the box to give you something for it or would the box give you different ammounts of money depending on where you were in the world?
Other player from another guild could be fun. Imagine a war between to Yggdrasil army while the normal folks shits themselves because of the powerlevel of the two going all out.
I like the idea of a neutral player who just wants to explore the NW and absolutely refuses to go near AOG because she knows their rep and she's been betrayed multiple times in the past. Not by them, but you know how it is.
yeah 1st chapter of vol 9 is 11/10 comedy material. It reminds me a lot of angel densetsu's humour.
My second most read part is the fight between momon and yaldabaoth with evileye misunderstanding everything they do/say
>1st chapter of vol 9 is 11/10 comedy material. It reminds me a lot of angel densetsu's humour
Dammit I'm not going to be able to see anything else now. Whenever I read anything about new worlders being awed by Nazarick I'm going to see this fucker's face and start laughing.
some people say the humor is somewhat repetitive, but I think it's fantastic
rereading that, are there any countries other than japan that place their family name before their given name?
it always seems like in fantasyland that japanese authors make people use the western standard of given then family
and I can't help thinking about this girl whenever I hear Jircnif making his conjectures about Ainz
I kinda want to see ainz go jogging now
ainz working out when?
So here's a new spoiler from the 2nd part of the prologue:
After Momonga's party defeats one of the raid bosses it drops a ball shaped crystal, best guess is that it's either the red ball Ainz always has in his abdomen or it's one the jewels that's on the Staff of Ainz Ooal Gown.
Every thread thread, just check Skythewood.
I don't know whether it's just a coincidence or not but there are many other analogies between that girl and Jircnif:
>both are popular and bossy characters
>jircnif is infamous for use violence to achieve his goals/ photography club prez likes to take picture of extreme violence above everything else
>both are initially interested in ainz/kitano and make the first move
>after misunderstanding how evil and crafty ainz/kitano are, they both make it their mission to make everybody aware of kitano/ainz's extreme evilness
>both try to turn kitano/ainz's friends against them and fail miserably (and both strongly believe that kitano/ainz are brainwashing people around them)
>photoclub prez eventually has a desperate showdown with kitano; albedo hinted that one day Ainz will deliver his "kindness" to the empire too
check sky's blog
What happens if Ainz breaks the cap level and can continue to progress in a d&d fashion, is there some kind of racial or job class that will fit his build? Will he eventually become a god?
Oh, well that changes things. So the orbs could possibly house the raid bosses and they could be the ones that are stationed on the 8th floor.
The demon gods they talked about in the LN could possibly be raid bosses.
>The demon gods they talked about in the LN could possibly be raid bosses.
the following is half-headcanon so take it with a grain of salt: in the WN's setting chapter Maruyama wrote that the demon gods might be some of the 6 gods NPCs gone crazy with time
Considering Holy Smite could take out one of them, it strongly suggests that not all Demon Gods are on the same level as raid bosses. Like >>138914117 said.
The Asura boss alone would probably have been able to solo the entire NW by itself.
>weak raid bosses
Raid bosses are usually meant to be taken down by several high level players, even weaker raid bosses shouldn't be so weak like that.
>what the demon gods looked like?
Probably they are NWers too, since Evileyes was originally a NW human and she's also a demon god.
>So the orbs could possibly house the raid bosses and they could be the ones that are stationed on the 8th floor.
I think that's the case: raid bosses several have special defence and offence skills which, in some cases, cannot be pierced, blocked or dodged with players skills, no matter how broken they are.
Therefore it would make sense for a few raid bosses to be almost invincible when fighting together, even when faced with hundreds of debuffed players
The hallmark of raid bosses is party wipe moves, and the Asura boss has like, five of them, not including the one where he summons 5 primal elementals to fuck you up. Specifically design to fuck over anyone who didn't see them before.
That's true, it would explain why they're so broken and why the players complained that AOG was cheating/hacking.
But I'm curious, if the NPC's in the 8th floor are raid bosses would they be loyal to Ainz?
>They're loyal to the rulers of the dungeon.
Are we sure about this? We know the floor guardians and other NPC's are loyal to Ainz because they were created by the SB's, but can the same be said about the raid bosses?
yeah, kinda like fighting against omega weapon in ff8. (shitload of HPs, devastating AOE attacks and sure kill techniques).
The most deadly move of the asura boss, along with the quintuple primal elemental summon (which is going to be repeated multiple times if you don't kill the boss quickly), was the meteor attack: even with 2 layers of top-tier defensive spells, the back line's players HP bars were halved in one go.
>albedo hinted that one day Ainz will deliver his "kindness" to the empire too
But anon, NPC think that Ainz is incredibly compassionate because instead of slaughtering everything and everyone Ainz decided to take over the world "peacefully".
They're loyal enough that they didn't attack whoever was sent to take Lastborn's item from her and give it to Shalltear. Victim himself is allowed to hang around Ainz (and be PA's plushy hug toy), and he's the commander of the 8th floor.
Not exactly, when we need to sound officially: in official documents, during job interviews, etc. we use Ф.И.О. which is Family name, Given name and patronymic, in other situations it depends, i prefer to say my family name first when speaking with the stranger.
The problem is how scaling work in most MMO games. Bigger number as you go up in level make old raid content in old level cap obsolete.
It would be the same case for Ainz game bosses.
and that's imo one of the main reasons AOG invested less than half of the total available levels in level 100 NPCs. It would drive them bankrupt if they were all killed during a raid
>It would drive them bankrupt if they were all killed during a raid
That's one of the reasons, but I also think that only the more important members of AOG got to make lvl.100 NPC's.
>lvl 80 tier 3 raid gear is replaced by lvl 81 quest greens
You mean "rich" I think Touch Me probably bribed the other guys, If you let me design a character you can have my wife for one night, Ulbert and Momonga where poor fags so they used their hard worker money obviously
No I meant their position in the guild: Momonga was guild leader so he obviously got to make an NPC, Touch-Me was the strongest warrior and a WC, Ulbert was best mage, Pereroncino was an expert min/maxer so they probably trusted him to make an NPC that would keep the noobs out and give veteran players a challenge, Don't know about Tabula, Bukubuku and Warrior Takemikazuchi though, Tabula probably because of what >>138917209 said but I don't know about the other two.
The armor depended upon the preference of the player, if I recall. The stats were in data crystals, whereas the design was separate. If you looked like a clown, odds are you wanted to look like a clown.
>tfw remember first time fighting domo and his sons of the flame, kiting hounds, etc
>tfw wiped because our dps had their weapons melted by horseshit debuff
>people solo MC with trash tier hunter builds now
will the dark days of deep breath and enraged biggie return
I would love to see how Demi handles being pregnant yet still doing the most work around Nazarick, as well as posing as Jaldabaoth. Would being with a child actually make him sympathetic in the eyes of people, and give Momon extra reputation points for sparing him after a battle?
at 1 coin for a field of wheat, plus expenses for nazarrick to continue it's operation to take over the world is going to bankrupt the guild fairly quickly unless they can start throwing dragon skin into the exchange box or find a way to become sustainable very quickly.
Shalltear it's like the Krillin of this series, it won't amaze me of she dies and gets revived at least a couple of times more before this ends, Dear diary: No signs of my friends still, PS: get the gold for Shalltear s resurrection
have we heard anything in the LN about scroll creation since vol 8, from a chronological stand point?
maybe they are currently using their skins and are now able to create tier 4+ scrolls
So lets say I can play the piano outside of the game and then get sent to the NW. Can I still play the piano? I imagine there would be a bard class. Would only people who had that be able to play instruments or for that matter sing well? What if I could cook. It certainly seems as if I didn't have the class I'd be shit out of luck when preparing food.
How frustrating that and similar situations must be.
I think the only ones that are that kind of dense are the NPCs.
Ainz could probably learn that kind of thing. I mean, he has acquired organizing and leadership skill without having any manager classes like Demiurge or Albedo.
It was mentioned by Momonga himself that Nazarick has a balanced economy as long as they dont have a big drain on resources it can last indefinetly, and he is still looking for additional sources of income in case he needs to activate all the defenses of the Tomb.
>without having any manager classes like Demiurge or Albedo.
Thay don't have any managing classes either, it's just that in their flavor text it's written that they had genius level intelligence that's why they're so good at managing Nazarick.
Friendly heads up Anon.
The same book when Evileye was introducted.
Her real name is Landfall
What would be the best spin off for Overlord?
>A series focused in the floor guardians
>A series focused in the pleiades
>A series focused in Enri and the goblins
A series focused in the lizardmen
A series focused in Climb
>rd that talents are brought up has much anymore. I remember Evileye supposedly had an OP talent but I don't remember what it was.
She was a hero. There were more than just 13 heroes, its just that was the name of the organization. She helped fight AGAINST the 13 evil gods (one of which needed the bugspray spell)
So he demands more sacrifices does he? Let's go find a group of paladins and fuck them up.
A series focused on Yggdrasil's top ranking players. It'd be interesting to see an outside POV of people on the same level as Touch and Ulbert and how they viewed AoG along with the rest of the game.
I mean does no one want in depth detail about how 2ch imploded? Or how people even became WC/WD to begin with?
It would be even more interesting if one of them was actually part of the 1500 man raid, but I'm not really sure how likely that is, but if there was then that arc would be saved for last or something.
i cant either. Im sure it has something to do with that she "doesnt really age" like prolonging peoples life in exchange for something?
That reminds me, skeletal dragons are said to be stronger than regular dragons, yet they are likely weaker than DKs or heroes.
How are dragonhides supposed to make top tier scroll materials when NW dragons are so weak.
>It would be the same case for Ainz game bosses.
What makes you so sure? It could be, but it could also be like LMS where the mobs themselves slowly level if left alone farming other mobs and shit, kinda like how in WC3 if you left 2 AI alone and you are far away, eventually one would stomp the other and come at you with a leveled army much harder than if you jumped their ass earlier.
n the 2nd part of the prologue Ainz cast a spell that greatly raises the allies resistances at the cost of making them unable to use magic.
At that point Ulbert wondered how OP that magic would be if it could be cast on enemies. Now, in the NW there's no friendly fire so whoever can cast this spell might be able to screw any any magic caster over
I don't remember SD being stronger than regular.
Dragons are some of the most powerful creatures in NW.
You can see how everyone shits themselves when Mare's dragon lands in Empire's capital.
I vaguely remember a paragraph detailing the power of newly created undead. I'm not sure if it was someone from Nazarick or Kajit, but basically they said that the stronger the corpse, the stronger the undead would be. It could be completely wrong considering how lvl 1 commoners can be used as vessels for DKs, but Ygg summon could be acting differently compared to NW necromancy.
that depends on the caster ability. ainz can make the most of human corpses and turn them into DKs but some low level scrub like kajhit can only turn them into zombies or skeletons. the same applies to a dragon's corpse, assuming skeleton dragons come from real dragon corpses
It's not that stronger the corpse, the stronger the undead will be.
The stronger undead you want to summon, the stronger corpse you need.
You can cast summon DK on human corpse and you will get Death Knight. If you cast summon DK on lizardman corpse you will get the same Death Knight.
However if you try to summon higher level undead with only human corpse, it will fail (or it will be summoned temporarily).
I'm pretty sure the undead power is racially determined. Of course, limit-breaking humans, say some of the Black Scripture, could be exceptions to this.
It is also possible that Ainz is able to extract the full potential from commoners because of his high levels, whereas a lesser necromancer would need the corpse to have had some levels to create strong undead.
Okay so I've avoided overlord because I cannot stand edgy powerwank protags.
Is he/his harem genuinely evil? If so, I don't think I can get into this unless it ends with their defeat and death.
The Skeleton Dragons were according to Khajit made possible by the harvested energy into the Pearl/Orb of Death and he complains it's nearly empty after he rises the 2nd one.
He aimed to recoup the costs by sacrificing the city afaik and then initiating the Spiral of Death for his own (or Zuranon's) aims.
>Is he/his harem genuinely evil? If so, I don't think I can get into this unless it ends with their defeat and death.
Well then you can fuck off, we don't need moralfags here.
And also Ainz isn't really evil he's simply indiferent to anyone outside of Nazarick.
So does he go mindbreaking girls?
That's the definitive "not even hiding it anymore" line.
Also, what are the odds he gets beaten?
>humble farmgirl rises to defeat the self-insert and his edgy harem
If this actually happens, I will chan.e my tune completely. This will be the greatest anime bullshit in history.
he doesnt mindbreak anyone personally, though his servants mindbreak some people
and while I said "harem" he hasn't actually done anything to any of them because he sees them all as his friends' children
and he'll never get beaten if the current direction continues, ever
>if the MC was Shalltear
Everyone dies. A last alliance of men and elves and dwarves and the free peoples of not!middle-earth march against the armies of Nazarick and get destroyed by Dark Young summoned by Shalltear's bitchboi. The end.
Where does Peroroncino and the other SB´s enter in this equation? What about the other guardians? Would Aura and Albedo bregudgingly obbey Shalltear, while Albedo awaits for the chancce to kill her?
He doesn't go around mindbreaking anyone.
>Also, what are the odds he gets beaten?
Depends, in terms of power he's only matched by his subordinates and his former comrades, that is if other players haven't spent 400 years grinding their levels and stacked ridiculous amounts of super imbalanced items (WCIs).
He's outmatched by a handful of NPCs that are minmaxed towards combat, while his character is made for roleplaying.
While it's not clear yet, its likely that he and his subordinates won't be getting stronger anytime soon (or at all), so if new worlders have growth potential talents they might reach Nazarick's power.
Despite subordinates being completely loyal, they interpret Ainz's orders as wildly as possible and might clash with him in the future (Albedo and Demi's farm).
Depending on the known or unknown WCIs in enemy hands, Nazarick could potentially get fucked.
But truth be told the actual chance of any of the above happening is 0%
I've always thought of this idea in terms of how DnD does it.
When you're starting out you're a regular dude, maybe with some special potential.
But when you're in the top levels, you're a demigod. You skin is like steel, your bones like carbon nanotubes and at that point you're only wearing the armor for the magical benefits or just to shave some minor damage off to save on potions or something.
A top level fighter from Ygg could probably strip down to his/her underoos and wreck NW still just from their ridiculous base stats.
but dnds hp system is garbage for conveying what damage actually does, since it's not actually how much damage you can take, but how much combat you can endure before you drop
and overlord is still mmo standards, so armor has a huge impact at high levels, because it can be harder than or at least just as hard as any monsters skin
Ok so maybe DnD isn't the best comparison.
Maybe just go with the WoW comparison.
Lvl 100 Warrior strolls into the starter area, same idea.
The mobs have weapons, but they don't even register damage even if you take the armor off.
If someone somehow manages to reach the Blossom Sanctuary in 8th floor and destroy the staff. And I mean by defeating 5 God-like Bosses, a Siege Golem that is stronger than the strongest of the 5 God-like Bosses, and survives the area that was a grave of a combination force of 1500 players + NPC. And defeat a being that was hinted to be made from a World Item and said being surpassed both World Champion and World Disaster. Oh and defeat Lastborn, the one that Ainz trusts more than his own creation to safeguard the staff of Ainz Ooal Gown.
So yeah, the chance of Nazarick being defeated by an outside force is zero.
>Nazarick being defeated by an outside force is zero
The penguin will be a spy and bring a legendary tier-6 teleportation device into the floor with the staff.
The enemy, carrying a WCI, will then destroy the staff.
Well not 0
Still of the opinion that Nazaricks eventual defeat will be from PDL making a figurative deal with the devil and using wild magic to reincarnate the players he killed or from other players being transported in and uniting against the reign of terror.
PDL didn't kill any players. The 8 Greed Kings killed each other and weakened themselves due to level drop and EXP loss to the point that they reached level 0 and died for good.
>The penguin will be a spy
He may want to take over Nazarick but he respects the SB's too much to be a spy or even rely on weak NWers.
And excatly how much of the world's population will he have to sacrifice to ressurect, what, like 14 players?
the 8GK killing themselves was only the beginning, once they were weak enough for the dragon lords to not immediately die against them, they started getting rekt over and over by them
Its true that outside forces have no chances against an united Nazarick, but there seems to always linger a sense that an internal struggle could become imminent, like with Albedo's team and the possibility that SBs connect and become hostile. At that point the integrity becomes unclear.
Ecklair wants to conquer Nazarick not destroy it. Not to mention he still holds respect for the SBs and he's under constant supervision by maids and preiadesu.
Likely hinted at the DK adventure, Guardians know when someone teleports in and out of floors. So assuming a large group of people carrying an item that emits atrocious levels of magical energy manages to outwit them and enter floor 8, they would still have to outwit the automatic surveillance system and Albedo.
>once they were weak enough for the dragon lords to not immediately die against them, they started getting rekt over and over by them
It took all of the DL's to take on one weakened Greed King.
Keeping everyone in the tomb is enough, they don't need to risk going into the dungeon.
A massive alliance of the NW, wci, other yggdasil npcs/players then controlling rubedo or a guardian will seal the deal.
I like to imagine that Grimgar setting is actually in Overlord's world, and the 'no-life king' is really Ainz after he dominated the world.
The bunch of characters at the start are actually lvl1s from the game and it's up to them to topple Ainz's rule.
>divine tier equipments
We don't known if the 8GK had divine tier equipment since even in Yggdrasil it was rare for a lvl.100 to have it, plus we don't know to what level they dropped to after dying.
I'm surprised that nobody has considered the Ariadne system in the equation:
in vol 7 Ainz was genuinely worried about the eventuality that the raiders might trigger it by chance, and if all it takes to activate it is blocking the entrance of the tomb then potentially anybody with the knowledge of this system may fuck Nazarick over at any time
And how would said force manages to assemble? The 3 human countries hate each other. The Theoracy hates Dragon Lords, Dragon Lords despite YGGDRASIL players, Beastmen hate human. Oh and Rubedo is hinted to be made from a World Item that means she is resistance to other World Items.
Yggdrasil rank magic was only introduced a hundred years before the greed kings arrived, so the dragonlords were mostly using wild magic and physical power.
It's been 500 yars since then, PDL should 1on1 a greed king by now.
That's the thing, for all we know all the dragon lords are dragon supremacists who view mortals as toys and/or food and even the most benevolent ones are patronizing imperialists.
They only got their act together and played nice with the lesser races when the Ygg players came and started hunting them for scrolls.
However most metallic dragons tend to be good-aligned and the Platinum Dragon Lord is another name for Bahamut in D&D, who is the good draconic god.
skeleton knight is boring as fuck. Kumo and overlord are leaps and bounds better. Hell, even slime tensen is better. It's like there's no plot whatsoever in the story and we're just along for the ride while the skeleton mc does fuck all while being powerful as fuck.
Comparing Overlord with Skeleton Knight is kinda dumb. To me both series have their own appeals. I enjoy pragmatic villain protagonist that is genre savvy like Ainz but I also enjoy heroic OP protagonist and Holy Knight/Paladin/Cleric action.
Yeah, I don't mind a good MC, but there needs to be more to it than just a guy in a fantasy land doing fantasy stuff. See that's why I like konosuba, it's like a comedic "bucket of crabs" and overlord is about a guy trying to keep his evil minions from intentionally genociding everything every time he sneezes at something, while looking for his friends who may or may not have been brought with him.
speaking of which, chapter 17 just came out.
>Kumo looks awesome
Definitely of of the better, albeit longer and more time intensive to read.
>but what's this skeleton knight?
skeleton knight in another world. I'm gonna give it a few more chapters and then bail if it doesn't pick up some.
I'm reading Volume 8 right now.
Has anyone drawn Ainz swatting Lupu with a rolled up newspaper yet? Seems appropriate.
She deserves to be exiled from Nazarick forever, howling mournfully outside the gate as she begs to be let back in.
There was a story where exactly that happened to Bahamut, who is essentially PDL in D&D. http://www.nifty.org/nifty/bisexual/sf-fantasy/bahamuts-last-trip/
>She deserves to be exiled from Nazarick forever, howling mournfully outside the gate as she begs to be let back in.
Nah, that's too much. If she deserves to be exiled from Nazarick for not reporting, then what Albedo who tried to rape Ainz and Shalltear who got brainwashed deserve? Death?
Hes a ronery kissless /v/irgin f/a/ggot, that only has friends on the internet, and got put into a position of power and is too fucking beta cucked to abuse it without being constantly prodded by the kids of his Guildmates.
>the 8GK killing themselves was only the beginning, once they were weak enough for the dragon lords to not immediately die against them, they started getting rekt over and over by them
>March, still no release date for Vol. 10
>No prologue pt. 2
>Season 2 never.
>Teleporting into the 8th floor
In D&D, where teleport redirect spells exist, it was not uncommon for mages to build a killing room filled with traps and monsters to murder any teleporting assassins.
Attacker plans to teleport into mage's room while he's sleeping. Attacker is teleported to a small enclosed room filled with all sorts of traps instead and dies. Mage is notified in the morning by succubus meido.
you can fineagle the rules to have characters that could kill gods at level 1, but those are the kind of characters that DMs frown upon or disallow because they take advantage of dnds terribly written rules
>I'm just saying that sufficiently optimized characters can kill Bahamut, without needing loopholes or anything.
yes, but theyre not MEANT to, they only can because dnd is an imbalanced mess
That's exactly how it works. If they didn't intend them to be fought, they would have no stats. Since they have stats, they're meant to be fought, and the god dying is a potential outcome of that situation.
What Nfirea would do if he was NTRed by the goblins?
>The undead were completely immune to sleep, poison, disease and other effects which affected a living creature’s metabolism. However, some enemies’ attacks could bypass those resistances.
>Those attacks usually belonged to World class enemies. For instance, the Five Rainbow Buddhas’ ‘Five Celestial Death Throes’, the ‘Corpse Venom Breath’ exhaled by one of the Eight Dragons, or the ‘Seven Deadly Sins’ of the Lords of the Seven Sins. Even if 30 level 100 players, fully prepared and forewarned of the battle ahead, did battle with one of these World-Class enemies, the outcome of the battle would still be in doubt. If one of these had appeared before them, it would be a threat to all of Nazarick.
Will we ever see these guys?
She was once known as Landfall, the demon god who destroyed a kingdom, then was killed by the 13 heroes, according to the legend, but of course in reality, she joined them after being defeated.
The author said in his twitter that all the forces in the NW would need to team up just to make Ainz and the NPCs stay in the tomb, so these bosses most probably aren't in the NW. A prequel with AOG in their prime fighting against these guys would be fun a read though.
Imagine if they made the Staff of Ainz Ooal Gown with the Caloric Stone as part of it. Using a One of Twenty on a weapon that would already be considered Guild Class would have to make it one of, if not the most powerful weapon in the game. Would be a poor idea to take it from the tomb but it stands.
Its stated that the guild poured all they could into the staff and grinded countless hours.
Assuming that's true, the staff is either made from the best they can find in Ygg (including caloric stone), or the stone can't be used for staff therefore replaced with an equally hard to obtain high quality magic oriented material.
>“…Perhaps we could use the Golden Princess to achieve similar effects, but that would be a waste of a trump card. She is a human being who is just as interesting ―no, perhaps even more so― than what I have determined from analysis of Sebas’ intelligence reports. She will be an excellent pawn.”
>volume 10 prediction
>after hearing about Momon's "problematic" situation,
Evileye went to his aid. Probably added in a dwarf for good measures
she literally got the hook, line and sinker deal as Ainz instead staged it so that Entoma could have her revenge
defeated, Evileye was thrown into 7th floor so her skin could be farmed as rare resources
ruined physically and mentally, she just stopped thinking
the fans would throw another riot
Keeno's Journey would still continue
What chance of that not happening?
volume 10 prediction :
>ainz accidentally fucks up the entire dwarven kingdom
>rationalises as it for the greater good
>demiurge selectively interprets ainz orders and kidnaps dwarven families for the rape farms
>ainz is still fucking clueless
>in a seperate incident, ainz accidentally saves a bunch of dwarves from some kind of threat and now they worship him like a god
>ainz now thinks he did the right thing after all and actually improved the dwarven kingdom (most of which is in ruins now)
>he finally remembers to try messaging his friends while in the dwarven kingdom
>gets no response
>wastes more time in the dwarven kingdom instead of trying to message his friends elsewhere
Another thread heading to the archive.
Rest well, and see you in the next.
Will probably be made again within an hour.
