Shino, Azee, and Lafta
>Murderzuki conspicuous lack of gratuitous murdering this ep
>Eugene saving the day
>Orga sending dozens of children to their deaths
>Kudelia being kind of cool
>Merribit OH WON'T SOMEONE PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN
>McGillis going to pull a Char "Blame it on your birth Garma" line on Gaelio
>Implying Ein will actually be able to kill any actual Orphans
With that said, didn't ChocoChar basically pulled a Char on Carta already?
The GrazeEin will probably be rigged some sort of self-destruct mechanism in secret by ChocoChar
That's what I was thinking too.
Specially when he said that Carta, Ein and Gaelio would be the ones to "reform" Gjallarhorn
>Carta's death would tank Gjallarhorn's reputation
>Gaelio would transform Ein into a monster, therefore damaging his own reputation
>Ein, with his straightforward actions and motives, would end up fucking the whole town, and the whole parliament would be there to see
>Kudelia being kind of cool
I really liked how she wasn't an useless piece of shit this episode.
I mean, she kind of was, but she was also badass.
Poor Merribit though, she just wants to think about the children.
What was her name?
Al least he got one orphan, he can die happy now
>Spent the entire series chasing after a bunch of kids in revenge of a boss who literally does not like the idea of killing kids and would not want him to.
>Failed to confirmed kill even a single person who was even on mars at the time his boss died, much less was involved in it.
>Sat around preaching and ranting instead of just killing his target.
>Is going to get hammered by Mika next week.
>Due to Tekkadan's actions a huge civil war breaks out
>every side flips out their Ahab reactor shit
>exploding reactors pollute Earth to the point that it become uninhabitable to humans
>McGillis travels to an other Earth and changes his name to Embryo
>Ein becomes Vilkiss
>mfw pic related
>Poor Merribit though, she just wants to think about the children.
Yeah, but these children are child soldiers doing their job. They literally signed up for this before they were even Tekkadan. This is their job, fighting and dying is a part of it. Orga even talks about this in his little speech. Meribit is just some little advisor/accountant who doesn't get exposed to this kind of thing, which even if others disagree with Tekkadan's actions she's the only one throwing a fit about it.
Friendly reminder that S2 confirmed since Mika needs to have a final battle with McGillis.
>exploding reactors pollute Earth to the point that it become uninhabitable to humans
The Reactors aren't dangerous because they go nuclear like in UC, they are banned from being used in the city because they cause communication interference.
It's more likely than Carta having survived. The last we see of him is he's opening his eye. It's bloody and he's in bad shape, but it showed he wasn't dead just yet. He could very easily die next week though.
Lafter is disco, but Azee might have survived with a funcussion.
Maybe she'll be the mentally challenged character running around causing mischief in the next season.
Gundam loves having those.
Fuck this episode was intense.haven't felt this hyped for an anime in so long.
I know IBO is supposedly one of the worse Gundams in the series as far as the fanbase is concerned, but fuck I'm loving this.
>Expect someone voiced by Yoko Hikasa to do much
It is like you haven't learned your lesson after Symphogear G and Working!!
>Ever take stock to Gunotas whinings
Ignoring their bitching and whining usually makes watching any Gundam a less tedious task
THREAD THEME: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_pyfH3oj_eg
Also he hasn't reached his catharsis yet.
he hasnt't realized that he hasn't realized that people die when he kills them.
After he reaches his catharsis he will see that he is on the path of the demon(Barbatos).
He will ditch Barbatos for superior gundam tsukiyomi(because mikazuki) and he will see his mace/wrench for the barbaric weapons that they are.
He then finally will learn to accept that glorious nippon steel is the best weapon ever made.
> Graze Ein is really tired of their bullshit
no fanart of the reverse trap tho
It runs on fictional Ahab particles, it can do or not do whatever it wants to do.
Also a nice related touch that I think a lot of people missed in the island assault episode. While Gjallarhorns two forces seemed mostly cut off from each other communication-wise, the reason Tekkadan could relay messages so easily was that they spread little comm relays around the island before the attack. They are briefly shown as those little funnel looking things floating above the treetops.
So, which of these two is having a complete mental breakdown first?
The coffin thingy can surely fix them tho.
Are you trolling or are you just stupid? Listen the sounds when the drill hit. They don't show the body because it no longer fucking exists you dimwit. She got the most fucked up death in the series
I'm disappointed in the shoulder gimmick on the GrazEin. It unfolds to reveal...a tiny little gun.
Seems kind of pointlessly complicated. Why have it fold up and require that big pod for a little gun?
lol, ok Anon, if it makes you sleep at night.
Look, I didn't enjoy it either, and I'm not aiming to make you angry. It's just what one could gather from what happened and would love nothing more than to be wrong. But it doesn't look good for her.
No you guys she's just taking a nap, girls are like turtles and pull their head in when they sleep
Fuck IBO for brutally killing the female pilots
I was wondering that too since you can see the ceiling of her cockpit got smashed down.
>This episode was surprisingly good.
> a weird mix of Zeta Gundam and Aldnoah Zero
The first season was excellent. Especially if you are a fan of Gundam and Obari.
Sequel was a mediocre kids toy-tournament series and basically everything people feared the first series would be.
That's because the heroic side was shown winning for the first time in a while.
The show is still by far the worst mecha show I haven't dropped, worse than even the second season of A.Z, but Gaelio and Ein keep me watching. It's hilarious how Orga, after all the grieving he had for Biscotti shits all over his memory with his retarded decisions in this ep.
The quality of a mecha show seems to drastically improve when there's a chance of a major character dying. Without those kind of stakes, mecha fights just become the MC styling on mooks and mid-bosses.
Possibly the cockpit's roof being flattened broke her neck, but given the force and suddenness of impact...
Fuck the show I cant wait to buy this bad boy
I honestly can't tell if you guys are serious or not lol.
I suppose I'll give it a try. IBO is my first Gundam since SeeD so while I'm still hyped I want to watch more of the series.
I was under the impression that BF was a kids Gundam show so I scoffed at it all this time.
At least the second season of A.Z had Slaine's political ambitions, good animation (comparatively) and was sometimes enjoyable. There were actual characters too. The only redeeming qualities IBO has are the occasional good mecha design and Gaelio.
The first episode is kind of homo but from there the series is great. References and cameos everywhere, actual good fights, and nice characters. It was their 35th anniversary series and they pulled out all the stops for it.
Just don't expect some huge "Save the world" kind of plot. It's all about people wanting to become world champ and a guy afraid of losing everything.
Gundam frame 29 Astaroth from a upcoming side/spinoff manga for IBO in the same vein as Astray and that 00 thing. The left arm armor is supposed to be from a spinner rodi. It's getting a regular release HG kit like the astrays and Astrea got.
It must be tough living with such vision defects.
I watched A/Z S2 expecting Mars or Slaine's revenge after that stupid S1.
First few episodes were ok then it dropped the ball harder than S1. I think it's the show i most regret watching it.
second season means second revision of the main gundam something with wings
why the fuck are they killing off every likeable character in the show in the space of three episodes?
this is exactly the kind of retarded sensationalistic storytelling this show was avoiding and I liked it a lot for it,
Nobody cared about Slaine's half assed attempts to conquer the universe for the hime (while simultaneously fighting her nonetheless, such great plotz). He was only good for suffering, torture and/or tender loving and S2 provided neither.of the later.
>good animation (comparatively)
I'll take mediocre 2D over okay CGI any day.
His Gundam is important, not his character. The most important pilot character-wise after Mika was Shino, and it was his interactions with the rest of the team that brought out each of their characters out. That's why Shino can't go, he makes the secondary cast work.
>Biscuit, Azee, Lafter, and Carta
>Victory's wings are weird since they can kill people.
They are minovsky particles which can be quickly converted to plasma similar in fashion to how a beam saber/shield works.
How's your run-of-the-mill incomoetent pawn any redeeming quality? His only purpose in the show is getting played by literally everyone and being a delusional revenge monger.
It says a lot when the most fans this show has are newshits and the only way people can defend this is by putting down other series. This is definitely gonna end up like Wing is now when people rediscover it years later and see that it was complete shit.
not only that are kind of the butterfly shit since everything that goes trough stop working
>It says a lot when the most fans this show has are newshits
What other shows, quit projecting. The only show really been put down is G-Reco which is mainly being brought up be G-Reco fans and is considered by consensus to be an awful Gundam series by all metrics
Just remember GBF S1 is essentially a Gunota show made by and for Gunotas with a rather thinly veiled "kids tournament anime" plot. And then Try basically just ended up being a "standard shonen tournament plot" and caused /m/ to be massively butthurt because of MUH SEASON ONE + FUCK THE KIDS AND CASUALS
and the essential internet hypocrisy of "It's not pandering if it is pandering to ME"
>Just don't expect some huge "Save the world" kind of plot
And then that ended up happening anyway in the last episode due to the plot device that makes GBF possible demanded it
Still wouldn't surpass FLAWLESS VICTORY and GBF Try
>Carta who was relevant for 3-4 episodes gets a long-ass drawn out death scene
>Azee and Lafter who has been in most of the show gets jack shit
It's not the fans' fault if this is a better Gundam than most of the recent entries in the saga, and one of the few enjoyable mecha shows that came recently.
IBO is far from exceptional but considering most of Gundam is crap it's pretty much an accomplishment.
Ah I see what you mean. So it's good in terms of mecha battle and past series references?
It may not be for me then. I've hardly watch any Gundam, and the ones I do I don't remember much from them.
And I'm actually not a mecha fan. I'm more interested in everything else going on in IBO with the mecha fights being good but not the sole reason I'm watching it.
>she's missing the back chunk of her skull after the ceiling hit it.
she was looking upwards when the axe hit her
that's why she has blood on her forehead
also breaking your neck isnt something you bleed for
How can a show be this much of an unintentional comedy? I laughed loudly during last weeks episode too, but this is getting out of control.
Because Carta and her death were nothing more than a device to advance Gali's character and Chocoman's agenda. Azee and Lafter's deaths were shock value to build up Ein as a mecha god so it will look even more impressive when Mika wrecks him.
Impure sluts don't get a happy afterlife/memories before they die
Since Carta was pure she does, and so will Gaelio
Once everyone who "died" in S1 was confirmed go be completely fine I gave up. The amount of fucking backpeddling.
Not only that but Inaho never got interesting. I thought he was the boring at first but becomes super developed and badass later sort, but nope. He was and always was a emotionless bore
I'm really hoping that they fake on these deaths, but since I'm familiar with gundam I know it was inevitable.
Looks like we'll be getting another 00 situation where they get destroyed in the first half only to rise up in the second.
We might even see orga or mika die, although when I started the show I was hoping most of the older cast would die off so after a timeskip the kids could become the main characters of a possible s2.
Other possibilities is that the girls get out alive, but with disabilities, something else gundam loves
That's due to interference of the minovsky particles,I guess the high concentration acts like an emp
You know, even though IBO is shit, it does show the madness of war pretty well in these later episodes. Kids eating propaganda and gladly killing themselves, Ein becoming psycho and all this just so people in big positions could make more money.
AGE was made for kids.
Build Fighter was made for hobbyists.
G-Reco was made for Tomino fags.
Unicorn, The Origin and Thunderbolt were made for UC fans.
There weren't a Gundam oriented for the general audience since 00.
>The only show really been put down is G-Reco which is mainly being brought up be G-Reco fans
Pretty much anytime someone has something negative to save about IBO they bring up G-Reco
>and is considered by consensus to be an awful Gundam series by all metrics
Its considered awful by retards as proven my the people who are outspoken against it.
You realize with the amount of force necessary to cave in the mecha like that, if the ceiling so much as tapped her forehead while she was looking up she'd lose a significant portion of her skull
That is why 2chan must make Gundam shine again.
Understandable. I was actually looking forward to the S2 because I thought Slaine had finally gotten through Inaho's impenetrable plot armor and killed him, but as soon as I heard Inaho was alive, my will to watch it dropped to zero instantly
Animation is not good but the designs are great. Barbatos smashing grunts with his thing is far more satisfaying to watch than Gundam shooting rainbow-colored beams.
So you can't read. I suppose I was quite merciless to ask you to prove anything.
>ok, as a long fan of the gundam franchise...
>because the past three- four gundam series were very disapointing
The second one watched Origins (which means he most likely watched everything UC).
>inb4 b-but they lie for sure
Nothing could ever piss me off as much as this. Inaho had absurd amounts of plot armor and didn't act like a human being. He didn't even have any reason to act like that, he simply did. I wonder if the guy who wrote these characters is braindead or something
A moment of silence for dead harem girl #1 and #2
This. Aside from visuals, the sounds are amazing as well, with a wide range of mechanical groans and impacts of shells colliding with plate armors.
I did not know that I needed this until recently.
AGE was specifically promoted as being aimed at a younger crowd. Gundams typical primary demographic is the middle school and highschool young teens market. AGE was shooting for kids in elementary school and wanted to add that sweet kids toy market to their existing customer base.
I liked G-Reco more than IBO but seriously, what the hell are you doing.
I take it english isn't your first language. I was saying it did NOT hit her on the forehead in response to.
>she was looking upwards when the axe hit her
>that's why she has blood on her forehead
Inb4 'but volume 1 was half price!". Second one wasn't and sold more than G-Reco.
Learn your history. When Gundam aired in 1979 as a kid show, it flopped and was even cancelled. It gained popularity in otaku circles, which were high school and college students. It then became a cult classic in Japan,
Kids are not and never were intersted in Gundam, as showed by the AGE fiasco. The franchise is only around thanks to otakus and hobbyists.
Dead or alive, I just hope next episode isn't 10 minutes of fighting to be concluded by some patronizing speech from Kudelia and worst of all a time skip. Wouldn't is be alright if everything was right and good because Ms.Amazing decided to open her fucking mouth, maybe she should talk all the problems away and everyone one will listen to her because she's so great and wants to be a hero like in that picture book.
I guess I'm the only one then who roots for orphans more after the latest episode. I actually think Gaelio is a good guy but he's on the wrong side and at a wrong time. But Ein is a fucking fagott, he should have died in peace instead of going batshit crazy.
I hope Mika will wipe the floor with him.
>Is gundam less popular than it used to be or is it something else?
Age was hated when it was first announced and thanks to Flint's arc being cliched, Asemu's arc being slow as fuck, and derailment in Kio's arc the fans weren't impressed.
GBF is the average number
G-RECO's amount isn't accurate
IBO is the only Gundam anime which volume came fixed with a deal hence why it sold that much but dropped after volume one and is averaging worse than G-Reco and GBF
So both general decrease in anime slaed and people not liking gundam as much anymore.
Was AGE really that bad.
I have watched only 2 AU gundam and build fighters.
I just started with zeta, so a lot of things are lost to me.
No anime sale numbers are accurate since it's just collected data done by some person as a hobby and not official numbers. Studios won't tell how many copies they sold. Always assume that sales a little higher than what you see.
Honestly, the only reason why people are praising IBO is because alot of characters are being killed off in brutal ways .
Honestly I was enjoying this series until Tekkadan sent full retard.Right now I,'m not sure if I like this series or if I hate it.
>yfw kuderia's speech to ein is broadcast on every planet and she becomes muh revolution
He's right though. Age was created to get young kids into gundam again
>pokemon tier character designs
>took the first 3 gundam series and reimagined them into a 50 ep saturday morning cartoon
>ran with a line of extremely simplified And customizable gunpla kits that could be used as amibos in arcades
>had a jrpg adaption on the psp which featured a very kid friendly combat system
>Aired early in the morning
>also dubbed for SEA cartoon network
It did try to appeal to older fans a tiny bit but was aimed at kids.
>So both general decrease in anime slaed and people not liking gundam as much anymore.
Have even checked how much Gundam Unicorn sold? People still like Gundam it's just they're slowly losing interest in their AU projects.
Am I the only one who is bothered by the fact that Kudelia did not even try to reason with Orga?I thought she would at least try to stop Tekkadan from chasing revenge but she seems to be okay with it.
Kudelia is a retard
>I can't stop because I got a ton of people killed!
>I must keep going and get more killed for a minor step in improving Mars.
>At least I'm hoping it does because I actually have no real knowledge like the two billionaires acting behind the scenes.
The 10k came from the blogger combining sound scan numbers and doing a guesstimate since oricon fucked up and never fixed it. Aikman said that v1 sold a lot more but he couldn't say how much so 10k is just a guestimate
Yea, I kind of stopped caring about the show there as well. Sad that it decided to pic up right when it's about to end (I'm guess their making a second season though).
You know there is fuck all to talk about when people start talking about older shows or sales data
When it is both when you just had the second to last episode this season that is really bad
I don't understand. Why can't we just enjoy everything without bashing on things others like? Why can't we hold a coherent discussion here without resorting to names calling and shaming?
>Disgusting CG animation is better than 2D
Post yfw next episode starts with
RAISE YOUR FLAG
Bandai's profit for Gundam has actually risen since Seed/Destiny. The franchise as a whole is doing fine, it's just BD sales that have slacked off for their TV series. On this board that would typically indicate a series/franchise isn't doing so well but gundam generates a massive amount of merchandise and has a ton of manga, novels, and games in addition to the TV series.
>IBO is the only Gundam anime which volume came fixed with a deal hence why it sold that much but dropped after volume one and is averaging worse than G-Reco and GBF
You sure buddy? Let's see the comparison of the first three volumes.
Gundamfags will outright say if a Gundam anime is shit which is why they can never agree on anything but Macrossfags will defend shit at any moment hence why Delta is getting a mixed reception.
>Dios means God in Spanish
>they killed God
I'm expecting that to play during the end when Mika is about to be defeated by Ein, but starts to make a speech about family and friendship and how AMAZING Kudelia is.
Final tally was 10k
Final tally was 9k
Either way IBO isn't doing that much better than G-Reco considering its ratings are much shittier despite it being on a high profile block.
Ok, what about the episode starting with instant battle with the second OP in the background then go into a little break with the second ED then back into crazy action with Raise your Flag revving up and the final is the orphans mourning and looking back during the melody of Orphans namida, all mixed into one long sequence like in Macross Frontier?
I said merchandise. That includes gunpla, but isn't limited to it. They put gundam stuff on anything they can get away with. There are official "Gundam cafes, a museum dedicated to gundam with built in movie theatre and 1:1 statue, gundam ramen, gundam soda, gundam character coat hangers, gundam cars, Gundam printers, etc.
If you can name it, they merchandised it.
Iirc there was a point a few years ago where gunpla accounted for over 90% of plamo sales in japan.
There is also all the cash from the countless gundam arcade/console games and museums scattered throughout japan.
It's basically it's own industry by now
How about what can we expect of S2, and what the plot will be?
I mean, I can't really picture anyhting. Maybe McGillis father will go the "fuck all" route and use Gjallahorn to take over the world and the economics blocks arround the world will use Tekkadan and kudelia as a symbol of hope.
>Final tally was 10k
>Final tally was 9k
>Either way IBO isn't doing that much better than G-Reco considering its ratings are much shittier despite it being on a high profile block.
Show me the ratings for episode 21,22 and 23
>only watched this for /m/ designs and lafta
>lafta is dead
>The franchise as a whole is doing fine, it's just BD sales that have slacked off for their TV series.
And that goes for anime in general that doesn't come with an event ticket offer or used as promotion. People need to understand that SEED, Destiny and 00 sold as well as they did because there wasn't any competition and they were the only shows people bought during the season they premiered but once the output of anime per season got bigger sales shrunk all around and the only ones on top were the ones that came with offers also Japan's recent sales tax increases means that people won't buy frivolously anymore like they used to which is why the 2010's has a lot less 20k+ TV hits than the 2000s. IBO selling over 10k on brand power alone is good and many anime wish they could have that staying power.
It's already out in both 1/144 HG and 1/100 NG.
Best girls are immortal.
Seeing as the show has built so little up S2 would barely feel related. I mean we aren't even sure of Char's real plan but get friends killed, ????, no corruption. Kudelia has no real power so they'd have to invent new problems for her to go talk at. The characters don't have much going on and a decent amount are dead (especially villains) so can't add much, plus they can't keep killing them at the same rate without going oh hey we found some new orphan to get blown up
The only real thread is Mars war or Ghorn become a bigger evil power which makes little sense as they are already that but can't do shit
>The guy totally wants to Char things up.
I like how they were able to get the MS to emote ein's insanity. I know all three are as a dead as disco (especially Azee) but does anyone think they might backpedal on the deaths? Also Eins a massive faggot
YOU LIE, MOTHERFUCKER
>they managed to sneak in an Atra ass shot
End of the year tally showed that G-Reco averaged 9k per volume.
>Show me the ratings for episode 21,22 and 23
You think that's gonna make a difference? Its current average is lower than AGE.
Am I in the minority if I say atra is my favorite girl? I only just caught up to the latest episode.
I always thought she was cute but she earned a lot of points in my eyes pretending to be kudelia and taking a beating. Hasn't done too much since though.
>Atra wins the Kudelia b owl
How can one girl be so based?
He was one of these two not-Shinos btw. The other kid was named Gatt or Got, ガット.
His plan most likely is having most all of the Seven Stars heirs dead so he can take control Gjallahorn and reform it without hindrances.
That and marying a loli, freeing Mars and the colonies, just beacuse, and maybe opening a chocolate factory just for the giggles.
I assume they all have multiple heirs, including cousins, bastards an that sort (rich families of old would even take in other families kids who could gain stuff from that). It also doesn't take the old people out of power and a best he has to wait 20+ years for them all to go (looking at them I assume they are 70/80 and would live longer with super science health care).
Plus there would be lots of smaller families wanting to get to the top which would just mean a lot of infighting and likely more corruption as they race to the top
who is this?
