I used to watch the animu every sunday morning as part of a ritual, but it became so bad and dragging that I lost interest. It was a nice supplemental.
For me it became unbearable in Dressrosa, but everything post-timeskip was quite annoying.
Luffy's flashback was the last thing I could stand (and it went down a lot already compared to earlier).
It also was the last arc with an OP I really liked, something is just missing with the newer ones. The last two/three certainly have ungood visuals.

On top of the need to emphasize the Curlyhats for a while to make up for their absence from Dressrosa, Oda has emphasized Nami's concern for Sanji, even explicitly drawing Luffy's surprise.
While she undoubtedly does care for her nakama, it's out of character for her to express this kind of concern directly, especially for Sanji.
Nami says she feels responsible, we're not entirely sure why or what for, but she's not a combat oriented pirate and she's not an idiot, so I can't imagine it as some sort of regret of not being strong enough.

It doesn't mean Sanji and Nami will end up together, but it's definitely a tease.
Honestly I expect a gag where Nami objects to and disrupts the wedding, while continuing to blueball Sanji.

Zephyr was a legendary former Admiral known for his haki, but countered somewhat with his age and health issues. He's feared more for the weapons he has at his disposal and the cataclysmic event he was going to unleash. So he was touted as being a beast but undermined to a degree so Luffy could fight him.

The thing is, the film was also created at an awkward period in the manga's release. The New World had been revealed but Luffy didn't have any major power ups or new abilities shown. Their arms were kind of tied with what they could use, though I personally thought the simple, desperate haki brawling looked great.

Now, Luffy has Gear Fourth, which is obviously designed as his tool to fight the strongest opponents, like the Yonko. It's incredibly powerful to the point that a Warlord who had been almost effortlessly beating everyone and even laughed off Luffy's gear second and third was getting throttled relentlessly. It's only weakness is that it's too intense and Luffy can't control the harsh side effects as of yet.

To have someone be able to stand up to Gear Fourth and even be able to exchange hits means they're extraordinarily powerful and these villains don't give these kinds of vibes off. This isn't necessarily a bad thing either, just emphasizing Gear Fourth is the next level ability Z was made too early for.
