The other seasons aren't terrible, but if you keep it to those two you will probably have a much better experience than watching it get worse and worse

not only that, but kizu is told between bake and nise to show how the relationship between koyomi and shinobu has developed
without that bridge its just a sudden character shift that feels empty, and the exact reason is because shaft are incompetent fucks who made a stupid production decision which leaves secondaries out

Oh boy here we go.

You guys can like nise more than bake, you are allowed to have opinions blah blah blah.
But in terms of overall quality in plot, cinematography, soundtrack, character development, and pretty much every aspect other than fanservice, bake is better. I only included second season because it's the most natural sequel (not being a side story) and keeps true to the style of bakemonogatari. It is true that Nise has somewhat important plot developments, but leaving those out is not detrimental to the story as a whole. Only truly important thing in nise is Shinobu's sudden transformation into an actual character instead of a tool.

Only reason I posted what I did is because I myself would've had a much better time only watching Bakemonogatari and Monogatari second season.
