>You are now imagining the nightmare timeline where this actually did well
That would be the dream timeline, we're in the nightmare timeline where we we have 78 episodes of Sonic X instead of this masterpiece.
>never was an official release of the soundtrack
At least there's this.
>fap to furry porn
Is this what happens when your standards get lower after getting tired of vanilla?
I'm a fan of classic Sonic and I love this OVA.
No, this is something fairly special to the Sonic fan community. It's not our fault that the Sonic OC creating community is so loud and hilarious. It's the perfect storm. You have to admit you can't really say "Sonic fan" without thinking of some shit like this.
there's like a dozen sonic mangas but I don't know how many of them were actually licensed or doujinshi because sonic fansites from the early millennium probably didn't even know the difference
Maybe. If you really enjoy doujins where chicks get banged by beastmen, or maybe even regular animals, there's a chance you'll slide towards just liking the beastmen and animals and start searching just for works focused on those things, which means you've fallen deep into 'degeneracy'.
That's just a example though.
Not that anon, but you mean this, right?
>You have to admit you can't really say "Sonic fan" without thinking of some shit like this
It wouldn't be so bad it Sega's attitude towards all this wasn't to promote such behaviour.
That's fucking stupid. You can find crazy fans for any fanbase. You're just a reactionistic dumbass. /v/ showed you crazies in the Sonic community and now you have an overblown idea of "Sonic fans are this way" because you're no smarter than the average /pol/tard.
It's supposed to be some kind of one-off special for the 25th anniversary, but I wouldn't be surprised if Archie decides to go through with making more.
I think the issue is more that every time you see a "fan", it's some batshit insane degenerate. My guess is that whoever liked Sonic back then just moved on to avoid SEGA's crap and the freaks that still support the franchise.
>My guess is that whoever liked Sonic back then just moved on to avoid SEGA's crap
Why would a normalfag who liked a franchise stop liking the early parts of a franchise because the later parts weren't as good?
IF YOU'RE STRONG
YOU CAN FLY
YOU CAN REACH THE OTHER SIDE
IT'S ALL RIGHT
'CAUSE THERE IS NO CIRCUMSTANCE
Smaller, but probably the best quality.
It's been ages since I've played this and I have shitty memory, how can I hear this playing in my mind?
>Tyson Hesse went from that silly Sonic joke comic to actually working for Archie on Sonic
Thats too hilarious for me. Though I wish he'd finish Boxer Hockey. Diesel is pretty dope though.
>Too bad I could really never get into Sonic CD's gameplay
I think you need a few playthroughs to get comfortable with what the game is trying to accomplish. I remember being annoyed at first then when you get a good grip at how to time travel it becomes much more enjoyable.
They changed her design completely so your point is moot.
Knuckles needs his cowboy hat back.
I don't really see that much from Sonic fans anymore. The memes making fun of autistic Sonic fans are more prevalent these days.
Sonic was the fucking kingpin of autistic fanart in the 00s. It's a toss up with shit like fnaf now though.
There's also the alternate reality where the first few Sonic games did fine, but were quickly forgotten and the one who got his rise to fame as the Sega boy was
Alex Kidd, as originally intended.
They had to make him look older and more gangly to fit more "mature" stories like SA2.
With as popular as retro shit is now, would it really be a bad move for SEGA to completely throw Sonic back to how he looked in the early 90s?
I would love to see a new anime that looked like the old games.
The only characters there need to be.
Does Night of the Werehog count as anime?
dat ghost girl
>I would love to see a new anime that looked like the old games.
We can only dream
>mfw I keep my little sister from watching this show
She goes full autistic (in the meme sense of the word) for a few characters from different media already, and I don't want her to go autismo for Sonic. The 'vocal' fans as discussed in this thread scare me way too much.
Luckily my country's CN only has it on twice a week on separate days, so it's not that hard
>tfw grew up in 90s and sega genesis
>tfw the state of the franchise today
Hey. It's THAT forest.
