Occultic;Nine anime announced.
http://occultic-nine.com/
>The story follows nine idiosyncratic individuals, including a black magic proxy/medium and a doujin manga creator. Little incongruities that occur around these nine eventually lead to larger, unimaginable events that may alter what is considered common sense in this world.

Why don't people just wait for the BDs? Getting hype over a 4hour/8hour series or wasting time discussing when nothing is known. What's there to gain?
>>138823740
steins gate 0 anime fucking when
>>138823740
After looking at the site, if you told me that was Persona 6 then I'd have no reason to disbelieve you.

Here's your reply
STEINS;GATE 0/CHAOS;CHILD FUCKING WHEN

>>138824160
pretty much this.
Instead of announcing new anime adaptions, they should finally get on and produce the older ones.

I'm actually more worried about a Steins;Gate 0 anime than excited, it's going to be really tough to adapt such amazing source material. I could see a lot going wrong.

What the fuck

>>138824160
Isn't Hamasaki busy with Orange this summer?
Unless they're getting new director for Zero, it won't happen this year.
I'm so happy about this, it looked really interesting
Does the semicolon make it deeper
>>138824715
It is funnier that man exceeds the speed of light than fish start living in the land.
I thought it was supposed to be a VN before, or am I remembering it wrong?
what the fuck
https://twitter.com/DistantValhalla/status/711211143252025345
This shit involves Tesla? I had no idea.
I think Steiner's having an aneurysm.
I hope it's better than the C;H anime.
fuck bi-swords

>>138824866I watched it in 2010, before Steins;Gate.

>>138824715
It's the "branding". The semicolon just means it takes place in the same universe as Steins;Gate, Chaos;Head, and Robotics;Notes.
>>138824866
How does mentioning how shit the C;H anime was make you a secondary? You can read the source material and still watch the anime. It's not one or the other.
>>138824848
You're going to love Chaos;Child then.
>>138824990
It was the
>fuck bi-swords
That gave it away. The Di-Swords aren't the issue, it's just how the anime presented them.
>>138824973
I know, but still.. hope it doesn't turn out the same way. The C;H anime was a clusterfuck

>>138825007
I had thought he was making fun of the fact that the swords were redesigned to be all colorful n shit, hence calling them bi-swords.
>>138825099
Reminder that this is still happening.
inb4 hundreds of people that think this is part of SciADV.
>>138824416
You could discuss ambiguity, inspirations, and the mangaka's artstyle for example
>>138824791
Both.
It's an LN series getting a VN adaptation, but before more news on the VN, SUDDENLY anime out of nowhere.
The female designs are fucking great.

>Moritsuka
Quite opposite to what most people will think, he looks like a holy man and is Hashigami's rival - trying to explain what's happening with religion (I might be wrong as well, I'm operating on assumptions here. I've seen that star thingy somewhere before and I'm almost sure it's connected with some type of religion.)I didn't even have to do this, right? It's obvious enough.
>>138826169
>it can be disproved all by science
That's actually part of the tagline, just like
>about what kind of the noids you get?
>there is no end though there is a start in space.
>of me the ruler of my fate, and me also the commander of my soul.
Come on, we finally have a somewhat interesting thread and it has to be slow.
>>138826853
That's exactly what SVN is.
SciADV titles are the interlocking titles that interact with each other and build up to conflict with the Committee of 300. (Chaos;Head Noah, Steins;Gate, Robotics;Notes, Chaos;Child)
SVN titles are the outliers that are in the same world, but not directly related to the central series conflict. (Occultic;Nine, Anonymous;Code.)

>>138827557
Unlikely.
>>138827647Some S;G characters were mentioned in C;C, that's it.
>>138827647
They take place in different time periods. One takes place in another reality.
>>138827142
So, SVN was created to produce a product that's not restrained by SciADV settings?
Good, I guess, Though sometimes, a restrained idea could give a really great product.
>>138827836
Pretty much yeah. A way to make use of the setting without having to link everything together.
>>138827836
I don't see the problem with having individual separate stories that help worldbuild an existing universe.
>>138827345

Yet another Light novel adaptation by Aniplex, probably A-1.
>>138832790
Oh fuck no wonder Aniplex decided to do this, didn't realize the staff connection to a hit here. Now it all makes sense. They love finding people that worked on a hit and then getting them to make something kind of similar but way shittier for them.
>>138823821
What on earth are you talking about?

Opinions vary.
>>138834486
Lying and deceiving people is also bad.
>>138834654
I thought it was great, you thought it was so-so. Neither are deception, just opinions. You're right though, people shouldn't be swayed by other's opinions without seeing it for themselves.
>>138833072
A-1 Pictures animates a small fraction of all of Aniplex's light novel adaptations.
>>138833152
1. This has existed since 2014, it's a novel adaptation. Aniplex isn't getting anyone to do anything "for them".
2. Aniplex produced the Robotics;Notes adaptation too. They aren't tying themselves to something previously unrelated to them.
>>138833860
Meh his only really solid work was Steins;Gate though the anime was also given proper time to adapt instead of a horrendously paced slow burn like 90% of shit these days
>>138834979
>implying
Everything he does is great
>>138834979
>his only really solid work was Steins;Gate
Anime-wise, sure, but that's only because his other solid works got shitty/no anime adaptations.
Even if you want to debate over whether Chaos;Head's original VN is good (I say it was great, but it usually averages around a 7-8), it's pretty much unanimously agreed that the sequel, Chaos;Child, is as good as Steins;Gate. Still no word on a C;C anime other than "it's coming eventually," though.
>>138834416
I think it's not amazing in the sense where it just blows you away like the original did, but you cannot deny that there were several scenes in 0 that were, in every sense of the word, amazing (pic related). In my opinion, the original was undoubtedly better as a whole (especiallythe ending), but there were definitely some aspects where 0 also clearly did better.
And I mean come on, the wholeno worldline is meaningless, every ending is necessarytheme was chilling.
>>138835273
>it's pretty much unanimously agreed that the sequel, Chaos;Child, is as good as Steins;Gate
[citation needed]
>>138835805
It seen someone didn't read C;C.
>>138835906
You're correct, I have not. That's irrelevant though, I'm asking where you're taking the idea of C;C = S;G being unanimously agreed upon from. It being your opinion doesn't make it unanimous.
>>138826426
It's kinda nice to see this and A;C got a balanced cast.
>>138836339
why is that pink girl named mom?
>>138836506
It's Momo
>>138836506
Because the glare effect covers up the o
>>138836339
Well, O;9 is a novel, not a VN.
A;C has pretty a standard galge cast. MC, main heroine, MC's male friend, trio of girls, goth chick, loli, other somewhat relevant male character, foreigner, and reverse trap.
>>138836339
Maybe that's one of the things that separates SciADV and SVN. SVNs don't have harem set-ups and girl-specific routes.
>>138836667
>implying there won't be Momo, three Cyber Force Dolls, Juno, Nonoka and Rossallini routes.
What separates SciADV from SVN is the central plot involving the committee and the anti-committee.
>>138836667
>SVNs don't have girl-specific routes
>implying
>>138836667
Occultic;Nine has 5 girls which is the number of girl routes every SciADV has had.

>Yuki Kaji
>Shizuka Ito
>Kishou Taniyama
>Mamiko Noto
>No-names or B-listers
Kill yourself.
Recently read the Steins;Gate Visual Novel and it was amazing.
It's Chaos;Head worth a read? it's the same length as Steins or shorter?
>>138839093
I enjoyed c;h more than s;g. It's a little shorter.
>Time loop
A series can't be good with this plot
>>138839305
It's not a time loop.
>>138839093
What this anon said >>138839162 but if you know moonrunes then read the C;H Noah, because it has routes for all the girls to the point it becomes almost as long as S;G.
>>138835805
There's very few comprehensive reviews of C;C in English, since there's no English translation of the VN. Even I haven't read it, so I'm speaking purely from what I've heard from other people who have played it.
http://kotaku.com/chaos-child-is-a-murder-mystery-with-delusions-and-supe-1754882292
Yes, I know,
>kotaku
But it's the best you're going to find if you're looking for an English review.
>>138840176
>70 hours
C;C is 30 hours top, this guy's japanese must really suck
>>138836964
Except that's not true.
C;H Noah had 7 routes. (8 if you count B end, but that's only a small divergence)
>>138840176
Rather than
>kotaku
It's more like Richard "Sword Art Online Is the Smartest Anime I’ve Seen in Years" Eisenbeis' opinion is worthless to me, and he wrote that review.
>>138840319
It's true for S;G, R;N, and C;C. Noah is a weird outlier, Chaos;Head was originally what you're trying to suggest SVN will be, a VN without girl-specific routes.
>>138840176
>kotaku
RIP in piss.
>>138840405
Oh, shit, I missed that.
Well, in that case, disregard that review.
My point still stands, though. You'd be hard pressed to find a well thought out positive review in English, but you'd also be hard pressed to find a negative one.
It's not surprising that nobody's played a Japanese visual novel that flopped because 5pb. made the idiotic decision to make a Xbox One exclusive game in Japan.
It's getting a PC port next month and a localization next year, so we'll just have to wait and see if it holds any water over here.
>>138840729
Which is why my point is that it being unanimously agreed upon that it's as good as S;G is a dubious claim.
>>138840898
Not him but I know at least 3 others that've read and enjoyed it and it was well received in Japan.
That said, I'd rather play it myself to see.
>>138840898
You asked for citations. I can't give you links to specific reviews, but I can say that, from what I've seen and have been told, it was received well in Japan.
>>138840972
I don't doubt it's good, I just have a hard time trusting statements like "it's as good as S;G".
Some people here who don't like C;H as much as S;G have even put C;C on a pedestal because Steiner said it's the best SciADV for example, without realizing Steiner thinks C;H is better than S;G in the first place.
>>138841108
>C;H is better than S;G in the first place.
I agree, I really liked C;H's atmosphere in general.

>>138843231
It does play during that scene, yes.
>>138843307

Almost as much as this track stood out to me when reading S;G.
