It's neither underrated nor overrated anon, it's rated exactly what it deserves. It's okay. Classic case of anme that starts really strong then loses steam. It just doesn't focus on what made the show good. Still, at worst it's simply okay.
Not every anime you like has to be the new SAO or SnK or something.
