Touhou never died, Kancolle and Idolmaster just began catching up. Vocaloid never died either.

If either Touhou or Vocaloid get an anime before 2020, and it's not written like shit and they don't hire shitty less-than-1-year-of-experiece seiyuus across the board for Touhou, then it'll probably sell at least 10k.
