The thing is I dont think Urahara would be the type to fight for the greater good and we really dont know why he is participating. He has to have some stakes in this war that we dont know about yet. My guess is it has to do with quincy involvement in order to create the vaccine to stabilize the vaizards.

They were interesting, particularly in relation to the other Sternritter that got destroyed with barely a panel to show their death. But they still weren't on par with the Espada. And it's because Kubo rushed them. Some of them have potential to be great characters but the entirety of the final arc has somehow dragged on forever and been really rushed in other ways. There should have been less Sternritter and make them group fights to compensate.

This is coming from a writer's perspective. Orihime will give you your classic romance ending, probably with foreseeable tragedy. Rukia will result in a stronger, more intense ending; with the two of them constantly bouncing off of one another, it's an easy choice for a satisfying ending.

Remember, Nnoitra's 'armor' basically made every one of Zaraki's just glance off after Resurrection. I could see twohanded breaking through his armor and doing damage, but that's different from cleaving clean through, every inch down would need just as much force as the first inch and maybe more (dunno if hollow insides were also that hard).

Every time I reread Bleach up to the end of SS arc I always have this thought in the back of my head that if Kubo had made the decision to make this a romance manga it would have been one of the best in the genre.

The best thing about Ichigo and Rukia's relationship was that it was always subtle and never felt forced. In ways they both helped each other grow and heal. Every parting and reunion between them never failed to have an emotional impact on the reader.

My favorite part in the series was the pain in Rukia's eyes and when she says to Ichigo she'll never forgive him if he follows him, and despite what she says Ichigo understood the message of what she was trying to do.
