It's sort of weird that the biggest of the old school manga heroes like Lupin III or Duke Togo don't really have bonafide modern successors.

Oh sure, you'll see a parody. Look how many people get into the series because one character or another did the Golgo face as a gag.

But there aren't really many consummate professionals on their level. Best you'll get is some some shitty MC out of some LN crap.

At best, you might be able to say Spike Spiegel for Lupin, but even so, one is far more somber and morose.
