24ep. "A Future Reward" preview pics
Post your Ein kill wishlist
Bunch of extra edgy kids
Ein is the hero we need but not the one we deserve
i completely forgot this guy existed
what a waste of the gusion
Looking at the preview it seems Takaki is the new driver of Orga MW, so unless he does a Biscuit or they kill Orga I think he is safe, not sure about the turbines girls
Related, but the shoulder gimmick on Grazein was exposed at a gunpla expo. Some sort of little guns or tasers on sub arms?
idlesthat Carta has her revenge
I'll admit that I like those Grievous vibes.
>Since there is only 1 episode left no one mourns him
>such is the fate of human debris
Lafter will eat up al his death flags.
>I have a great speech. I have the best speech. When I travel around the galaxy, people are constantly telling me 'What a terrific speech you have, Kudelia!', and I promise you, if I am elected Great Leader, this galaxy is going to start having more speeches again.
Assuming there is no S2, everything gets magically resolved at the end. McMurdo and/or Nobliss gets arrested or killed, McGillis and Kudelia reform Gjallarhorn, Tekkadan goes back to Mars and Gaelio is the scapegoat like Slaine.
Old bloc leader turned out to be a former bloc leader. He was supposedly popular and the favorite by a large margin for the upcoming elections but was politically muscled into exile so Gjallarhorn could get a plant elected.
Kudelia is using her financial backers and tekkadan to get him safely to where the elections are being held so he can be re-elected and has promised to meet mars demands if she can do it.
McGillis is also running some sort of scheme against gjallarhorn and his dad. He convinced Gaelio to have dying Ein mechanized into an MS, sent Carta to her death, and seems to be working towards something involving Gaelio either dying or being set up in some way.
Tekkadan meanwhile are pissed as fuck and have said that from now on they're going to just no-nonsense kill whoever gets in the way and have basically declared that they are going to get revenge on Gjallarhorn. And Orga specifically has decided he wants to bring all of Tekkadan to a better future/life, not just Mika.
Wow so Graze Ein really is Sazabi size, this thing better deliver
Poor Atra, she really ended up falling into irrelevance, killing her would end up being a mercy kill right now
Thats exactly why everything feels so wrong, no idea how can this get a decent ending without bullshit
High chances Gaelio will bite it this episode, will be surprised if he make it out of this show alive
It could be animator error or perspective, but is Mika no longer using the bracelet?
Best day of my life.
I know anon she was too good for this world, she is in heaven now
Ride is the hero we deserve, but not the one we need right now.
As long as they go out together. Then they can both be with Danji.
Ein in going to fight Shino 100%. Please don't die. He's gonna make it back right?
I can see Shino fighting against Ein and losing, then Mika swooping in in the last moment and saving him.
Magazine previews have Mika swear absolute cruelty against Ein.
I want a SRW game where you can have a team consisting of Ein, Psycho Zaku guy from Thundrebolt, Iron Mask and Jeremiah 'ORANGE-KUN OF LOYALTY' Gottweild.
It'll be the team that is Broken in Body but not in Mind, a Mind of Steel Matched by a Body of Metal.
From that snippet that was posted in an earlier thread:
>In that case, from here on TERROR!
>The ultimate weapon, the WRENCH MACE challenges!!
>A dangerous weapon for a dangerous enemy!
He'll match him in cruelty.
Caption under the Shino tweet is "Make sure you come back safe, Ryusei Go..." Make of that whatever you will.
Also that has to be the most retweets they ever got on a preview pic. Gonna be 3k soon.
Ein's new Mobile Suit is a nice contrast to Gaelio's gaudy Kimaris. Even more so now that it's been transformed into the Trooper.
How many deaths can they squeeze out here? Anything like the final few episodes of Zeta?
>I've never seen a man like you, Ein!
>but senpai, I only love REVENGE
>o-okay, hope you two can be happy together
Cucked so hard he even enabled Ein getting his dick cut off for his one true love.
IBO has some the most boring preview pics I've ever seen for any series ever. Every time it's just a bunch of close ups of a few mech's faces, a few main Tekkadan members faces, and a few Gjallarhorn faces. Every goddamn time.
>reduced to dangling in a Mobile Suit
>wants revenge for Crank and to serve Gaelio
>will inevitably face off with Tekkadan
If he manages to kill any member, there's no way they'll let him off alive. If he doesn't, well, that's probably because he's going to get killed first. He won't last much longer depending on when their confrontation happens.
I expect him to live through to S2 and poison it with his existential crisis after the fight against Mika, in which he finds out his life was a lie. Maybe he'll get an even edgier Graze.
I sure hope not. If he dies now, it'll help further Gaelio's own motivations for stopping Tekkadan which would be a much greater use of his character than dragging it along for another season.
It'll be like with Crank all over again.
>Ein fights Mika
>finds out Crank wasn't murdered but lost a duel
>is defeated but dies in peace
>Gaelio goes after them not knowing Ein was relieved to die
Why the fuck isn't this more popular?
Everyone talks Boku Dake ga cuck and Konosuba, yet no hype for this?
Is it because it's Gundam? Because that name means shit all in this series. I'm not a fan of Gundam myself, but a friend made me watch it, and I ended up binging on all 23 episodes. AOTY I'm so pissed this barely gets threads.
I'll admit I don't have much in the Gundam series to compare this to, but IBO is far from shit.
Best anime I watched this hear hands down.
It has a very slow start, but once it started picking up it never went down.
I've been in constant hype mode since they met Mr harem-but-not-really-just-a-real-nice-bro.
Gaelio is already a more interesting character than Ein, especially with his relations to Carta and McGillis. I'd like to believe it wouldn't diminish his character to that point, even if his focus on Ein's survival is at the forefront now.
Among other factors, it doesn't have as broad an appeal as the other shows. Mecha series aren't for everyone.
Secondly, even if past Gundam series aren't necessary to watch it, you're always going to have people feeling daunted simply by it bearing the title.
Last, Mari Okada.
>for some reason
The hate for Mari Okada is far more widespread than that. How many of her past titles have you watched? She's very hit or miss and when she misses, it's agonizing. She can write a good premise but has difficulty keeping the writing consistent until the end.
Is he even aware that McGillis is manipulating him? There's a very real possibility he won't realize until the bitter end.
No idea who Okada is, but I assume he multiple bad Gundam/mecha in the past?
Honestly I don't see anything wrong with IBO other than the start 5-6 episodes. From there it's just constant hype.
I don't even care much for the mecha battles, everything else going on is just so good
Mari Okada is the writer for IBO. She's worked on numerous series in the past and she's known on /a/ (and I guess /m/) with some notoriety for her quality of writing. Which is to say, most don't enjoy her writing for various reasons outlined previously.
It's interesting that you've enjoyed IBO more and more after the first six episodes. Most opinions I've seen have only considered the plot of the anime to be spiraling downward ever since the introduction of Akihiro's brother, a sentiment I have to agree with.
She hasn't previously worked on any Gundam series.
What do you like about it?
It's not popular because most people recognize it as a pile of shit. The only two good aspects of it are some of the mech designs, and the 1st ED.
What was the problem after his brother showing up?
I'll admit it was kind of a "yeah right" situation, but it seemed fine. And it was nice seeing someone other than the mysteriously gifted MC get some decent development.
Well when you ask me it's hard to say. Overall I like the plot, the characters are all rather nice and developed to a point. I actually care if these people die. Biscuit dying got a tear out of me.
The action sequences when they happen are cool but I'm sure there's better out there.
The writing feels very contrived from that point forward. Character development is great, sure. But Akihiro's sudden realization about leaving his brother, his brother's appearance, the ever so delicate subtlety with which they handled his death was a very poor method of developing his character. Even his interactions with the Turbine girls is more compelling in their short bursts than his time with and about his brother.
Then you immediately have Biscuit's brother. Which I admit, had more depth to it given the political situation they were in, yet still wasn't particularly well done. Even if the pace was slow earlier on, the flow of the story wasn't stunted by attempts at development.
I wouldn't say that ruined anything though. If anything it's just something you'd shrug at (which I slightly did really. It came out of nowhere and disappeared right away).
As for Biscuit's brother, that honestly was pretty good. The suicide at the end was rather eh, but him being bothered by it was pretty believable.
>The writing feels very contrived from that point forward. Character development is great, sure. Don't forget that Guts has been irrelevant since then and we get are scenes of him "training" and notFunima telling us he has been training very hard in the past few days.
So it is more than understandable that people complain about Okada's writing.
>Is he even aware that McGillis is manipulating him? There's a very real possibility he won't realize until the bitter end.
I suppose he should gain some awareness if there's a single brain cell in his skull. But are were seriously going in for another charade like this? Gaelio spent the entire season trying to get revenge on Tekkadan and failing, another season of this is going to become pretty tedious.
It'd be more interesting if his infamy drove him to cooperate with them in some way against McGillis who's been developing into the mai villain of S2 pretty steadily.
More fujo hijinx from seyiuu event.
>Akihiro always hangs out around Shino lately
>doesn't Yamagi get jealous--?
>nice dream? wow you can actually sleep--whas I was also in it??
Another one bites the dust before mighty Shino cock.
>It came out of nowhere and disappeared right away
Which is why it was so weak as a method of storytelling. With how the story has progressed, the entire issue with the Brewers could be removed and you wouldn't lose much. Like >>138814980 mentions, Akihiro fades into obscurity except to jump in his Gundam or make a comment in passing. The plot with Biscuit's brother was done better but again, the whole issue of introducing him out of the blue. It did help move the plot along and gave some background to Biscuit (and developed Atra) but, and as much as I hate to say it, the plot is very forced in those two examples.
I suppose Biscuit reflecting on his brother in recent episodes gave more purpose to it but as the story is moving along in the episodes where he's relevant, it wasn't executed well.
I'm having difficulty seeing Gaelio cooperating with Tekkadan, especially after their previous meetings and Ein's situation. A three way battle between Gaelio, McGillis and Tekkadan would be interesting if McGillis' manipulation becomes known to Gaelio.
>What do you like about it?
>opinion only regarded in /m/.
The animation is so good huh
The the characters totally aren't one dimensional huh
The soundtrack is so great huh
The plot is so compelling isn't it
Are you fucking telling me Ein's entire purpose in the show was to be a retarded edgefag, kill all the best boys and job to Mika?
It's been 20+ episodes. Have you seen him done anything else other than cry about Crank? Why the hell are you this surprised by this now and treat it like some kind of major revelation.
Yeah, but do they need another 25 episodes only to adress the McGillis subplot which is really all left ?
The best option would be to finish the TV broadcast with some sort of cliffhanger and then conclude with a movie.
Either that, or it will be all resolved in a magical way next week.
It's Gundam. If they want to, they can easily throw in some side-plots. Not saying I want a s2 by the way, just pointing out that based on past series, it's common to stretch that.
>(not as crappy as reco though)
This meme will never stop being funny given the immense butthurt people like you still have over this show yet you can't prove why IBO is better.
>Why the fuck isn't this more popular?
Because its boring as fuck and looks like garbage.
>Is it because it's Gundam? Because that name means shit all in this series.
The Gundam name is the only reason why this even gets acknowledged. Nobody would defend it otherwise and they're people who defend it due to their vendetta against the previous series despite the fact that IBO doesn't do anything significant or better than previous installments.
Who gives a fuck about Ein, I just want some orphans dying and Orga finally telling Mika to fuck off.
It's pretty much the contrary. The Gundam name brings a lot of trolls and shitposters, some of them being from another board not far from here.
If it wasn't a Gundam show, then it would be completly different from what it is now I have no idea if it would have been good or bad.
>The Gundam name is the only reason why this even gets acknowledged.
>what is G-Reco riding the hype of being the first Tomino show in years
Try being a little less butt-rustled it'll help you spot the irony.
>stop being such a butthurt little bitch
Take your own advice. /a/ doesn't give much damn about mecha. The people who do are off on a place called /m/.
Cross Ange threads are more about the girls: waifu and shipping
AZ threads were full of fujoshis and fudanshis.
Sidonia gets activity mainly due to Niheifags.
Fafner threads are non existent on /a/.
Starting threads about other mecha anime either have it die off with like less than 50 posts and/or told to fuck off to /m/.
Now how about you prove your point instead of resorting to petty and meaningless insults.
>telling the best soldier in his PMC to fuck off
>hurrr kill some orphans
Why do you have to be so retarded, anon-chan?
It's more about the fact that Ein has been just recently confirmed to be the final boss, and that the final boss turns out to be so fucking nothing. None of his kills will amount to anything besides wasting characters for the edgelord's kill count padding. And frankly that's what I think the Turbines are there for, which also fucking sucks.
As much as I hate Ein, killing him off at the very end will just prove he was a giant waste of space. If he on top of everything kills any of the characters I personally value, I riot.
Read that in context of S2 actually happening.
It's pretty easy, IBO is better than G-Reco because IBO is able to entertain people, G-Reco doesn't. We all can agree that neither of them is good as a story, but at least IBO is entertaining.
i just want someone to pose a threat to mika
im really tired of how 1 sided nearly every fight has been. the only decent fight we had was that one against lafter and even then they had to keep telling us that the only reason it wasnt a cake walk for mika was because the barbatos hadnt been tuned up properly
Not him, but it's a popularity contest. Sites like MAL are people who rate stuff depending on how they like it. If they like IBO more than Greco, then the former wins. And you asked for popularity results.
>but just like other GUNDAM series it is about politics
Let's go deeper, best Gundam TV show list according to Wester anime fans:
3. Build FIghters
8. Turn A
16. SD Gundam Sangokuden Brave Battle Warriors
19. SD Gundam Force
TSUKAME PRAIDO, TSUKAME SUCCESS
>there are people in this very thread who will NEVER watch 0079 "because it looks old"
>Easily a 10, i'm an old school mecha fan. Its a a gundam so i expect stuff to happen
How do you know the 500 participants who voted on that poll don't have equally bad taste? If you're gonna post popularity polls you don't get to bitch about taste.
You can stop replying to yourself /m/aggot.
stop this boogeyman
/m/ only likes tokushit
you would know if you watched more anime you fucking MAL faggot.
kidding aside, she's from Legend of the Blue wolves.
Average IBO threads:
>Dialogue heavy episode
>WOW NOTHINGS HAPPENS
>WHERE ARE THE MECHAS THIS ISN'T GUNDAM
>episode that shit happens
>WOW MIKA IS A PSYCOPATH
>MURDERER, I HOPE THE ORPHANS GET KILLED
>FUCK SPACE RATS
>WHY ARE THEY SO EDGY
>everyone there is the usual cartafag and is absolutely buttblasted from Mika actually killing people.
I can only imagine the cancer.
take a whiff anon
i wish being dead didnt stop the fumitan artwork
Dialogue features too much clunky exposition, heavily telegraphs intentions in repetitive or unsubtle ways like Merribit in the last episode, and scenes carry sentiment that feels unearned. Things happen, but it's hard to get invested in what's happening. The conflicting emotions between Mika and Orga in episode 22 had my attention. It made Biscuit's death worth something despite how shit it was.
m-mika you can smell my farts t-too!
hey wheres that bracelet i made you? ;__;
Hmm, last night i had a dream about the bad guys killing the big black man and Mikazuki being the evil mastermind all along. What a weird fucking dream. And first time i dream about Anime
>The producer is claiming the ep 24 battle used 450 cuts and was extremely difficult by sheer volume of work, and he thanked the crew for a good job.
Its gonna end with a massacre in ep 24 and in ep 25 the negotiations go to shit and Kudelia just straights up declares a civil war between Mars and Earth. Mars becomes the new Zeon in season 2 with Kudelia as the dictator and Tekkadan as her personal secret police. Or at least that's what I hope happens so this show can actually become exciting for once.
You're wrong on both accounts but I'll let you believe what you want to believe.
What were you thinking about when you were 14?
Frankly I think it would be too obvious if he died. I'm starting to think he'll live to the end despite all odds, just like Tamaki from Code Geass.
In other words, Yamagi is the one who dies.
Have any of you dum-dums read the previews? Ein vs Mika is hyped for ep 25, unless all those magazines are bullshitting and the "threat" that Mika goes to fight alone is Macky. Which I have doubts about, I think Macky will remain the puppeteer this whole season.
No need to be so jealous anon, it's hard for him too to be this perfect in every single way.
Eugene needs a girlfriend.
So the people defending IBO can make a single argument without being mentally-ill persons that only watched AUs? What are the pros and cons of this against all the others? How is this better than Destiny?
>G-Reco riding the hype of being the first Tomino show in years
People sure did love those Zeta Gundam movies, Wings of Rean and Ring of Gundam right?
That's some lackluster bait. Please work harder next time.
No but it can get you through a series you hate or don't care about.
Aldnoah Zero is a prime example.
If you didnt want it to be bait then you shouldnt have used that first sentence as it's practically begging to start a fight.
Even so i dont think you would get an answer to your questions because the majority of the thread seems to be completely black or white, no middle ground.
Yeah you are right it seems Mika isn’t wearing the bracelet, Atra is getting cucked this episode?
But Yamagi IS perfect in every single way and it has nothing to do with being one-dimensional, you pretentious fag.
I lost hope in her when she had that talk with Amida. I can accept an adult woman choosing the harem route but with Atra it's like she was afraid of losing/wanting everyone to be happy bullshit. She should confide in someone and this someone better not be Kudelia because Kudelia doesn't give a shit about her.
Yeah there is a point when kindness turns into stupidity and Atra broke that line, is funny she is getting a character stand, from the look of it all she will do in the last two episodes is look concerned
But that’s doormat, she is not incompetent and can be strong yet she allows everyone to walk over her out of fear of hurting them, the little kids bully her, Kudelia ignored her when she was down and Mika is Mika
Tekkadan is ready for action soon, let's see how they end the day
Friendly reminder the all of Tekkadans are underage b8 and illegal.
that's the thing, it SEEMS this show was meant for 25 episodes then about mid way they got approval for a second season and it lost focus or something.
the arc with biscuit's dumb brother was not necessary.
>gets pressured into sex by Shino
>gets addicted to sex
>searches for love but is out of luck
>becomes addicted to prostitutes
>is a wreck of a human being
>meanwhile Shino has gay awakening
>settles down with Yamagi
>they start a family and are happy
>being Eugene is suffering
>it SEEMS this show was meant for 25 episodes then about mid way they got approval for a second season and it lost focus or something.
I think you're on to something anon.
That could also be why there is so much QUALITY.
Never, if the guy is even capable of loving he will end up with Kudelia anyway, Atra never had a chance the show hates her
