not when the whole plot revolves around the two getting they were obviously forced together for such a long about of time, and for Taiga having the most pity. Honestly, I really like Toradora, but their relationship was pretty forced.

Why does the character design look so stupid in screencaps sometimes but the show looks so good?

Doesn't this apply to a lot of anime and cartoons? Just animated shows in general. Still shots tend to be kind of crap compared to when they're in motion. Even when the still shots look good, the shows pretty much always look better in motion.

I'd imagine because it's an old show. Much of it's been discussed as with most shows of this sort.

Still it was a good show for exhibiting well written character development, at least for the heroine.
