To be a star, you must shine your own light, follow your own
/ai/ - Idle Activities, and don't worry about the darkness, for that is when the stars shine brightest.
I want to fuck Lala.
I claim sexy purple Sakura/glasses Sumire.
I claim that for every one I get right I'll get sloshed one day, for every wrong I'll go sober one week.
I want to bully Lip.
Here's the design anons. I was bored in class and started drawing Niina for a reason. I sort of based it off Mecha Panic, I wanted a cat theme though. Now I know I'm not that great at drawing yet but I working on my self. Hopefully I'll be good enough to draw a ton of Aikatsu fanart.
Wish I could on my phone.
I'll go lie in Yurika's coffin.
don't bully my cute anon
He brought it upon himself. Commence bullying.
As expected from the bully herself.
Guys I've come back with the results. I haven't been very diligent lately so for that I'm sorry.
Anyway the results are as follow:
#1: Egao no Suncatcher
#2: Otona Mode
my #1 anyway
#3 :Original Star!!
Enjoy this webm for the winning song of S2's cup.
Good taste /ai/
That's cool anon
Just realized these 3 each have a part of Japanese culture. Wouldn't have realized if not for anon posting this pic last thread. Thanks anon.
You have competition.
Well all the idle artbooks (except the second pripara one and the newest aikatsu) can be found on the torrent
there's also the /pc/ MEGA folder for the precure coloring books
This man shouldn't be trusted around teen girls.
It's still designed as a safe space for little girls to learn about life. The whole thing is broadcast on TV, and parents are allowed to enter. Even with no parental controls there's nothing a few concerned moms won't fix with a few complaints.
Starlight on the other hand is a cesspool of child exploitation where work is disguised as fun. Girls are not only exposed to dangerous situations, but also filmed doing them and I don't think I've ever seen any of them get paid for their troubles.
>mfw I just realized Johnny-sensei probably won't be in Aikatsu Stars
I finished my square.
I can't believe it's almost over. I feel kind of sad for Nono and Risa getting shortchanged.
are we actually doing this?
Alright, I claim this one
This is my sidle, there are many like her but this one is mine.
This shall be my claim now. All you other slow fags get in line.
I agree. But it could be just as lighthearted. I hope so, anyway.
So many sidles.
The cutest anon.
Dark green tails at the top is a great cook. Cyan haired fish lips is naturally a sexy type idol, but insists on acting cute. Sideways is a nonconformist, a more extreme Hinaki, except that she hasn't found a designer crazy enough to support her shenanigans. Next is hairband, she's boring, screw her. Now tails and two bangs is your average hard working idle, she has a good following. Light green braided tails on the bottom left is a bit boyish and enjoys meat buns a bit too much. And finally, we got braid hair band hair, who idolizes Shion so much that she's followed her even in her obscurity.
>Purple Sakura will be the main antagonist in Aikatsu Stars, feeling betrayed by Yume she lets her jealously grow and grow until she becomes the "ends justify the means" sort of idol
From beyond the stars she still hungers for fresh souls this development pleases her.
>Aikatsu became Aikatsu0048
We already had a space drama
This annoyed face gives me hope.
Speaking of Mia.
Subs for Pretty Rhythm Dear My Future Episode 50! Typesetting and editing preferable but not necessary, as ever.
I'm realising only too late just how fantastic the voice work for this show really iis. Kintarou's in particular is just superb.
I still think Michiru Kurosawa is the best sidle.
And she'll never be featured in an episode.
I was truly hoping that it would happen one day.
You want to fuck a hamster?
It's gonna be alright, anon. We're here for you.
Otome's gonna bite her tongue off if she keeps sticking it out while jumping around like that.
Tension relax anon, everyone will be in the same mood in two weeks.
Does Ichigo show up in the third season of Aikatsu? I started watching it for her and can only find reason to keep watching it if this qt is still in it in some way.
Every once in awhile. She won't appear as much
but that just makes every appearance more special.
>Stars turns out to be a super robot idol anime
Wow Miyabi looks so much better in Starlight's uniform.
They have become self-aware
I don't feel like doing mine anymore. This anon should do them all. You're way too good.
FUCK THIS SHIT ASS WRITING
THE ONLY WAY SHITTY AKARI CAN WIN OVER SUMIRE IS IF SUMIRE MESSES UP
THIS ISN'T A FAIR WIN IF YOU KNOW AKARI
YOU SHOULDN'T BE HAPPY IF YOU GET THE CROWN
BECAUSE TRUTHFULLY IT NEVER BELONGED TO YOU
YOU AREN'T THE BEST
DEAL WITH IT
As much as I love her, Sumire deserved the loss. If I heard correctly, near the beginning she specifically said she was going for special A. Its not like she randomly messed up an appeal she's done many times before, she took a big risk in going for the hardest but most rewarding appeal, and she couldn't pull it off.
So logically Akari will pull it off and become the only idol to ever perform a special A appeal. Well at least my earlier complaint about her potentially winning because Sumire messed up will be invalid. I can deal with this.
Careful what you wish for.
>No PR in Photokatsu even though Mikuru and Miyabi already have them
>No SRs in Photokatsu
>No new song for SLQ
>No new premiums
>Only performed twice in S4, and one was in a group
and she probably was only added so it wouldn't be a group of 5
Lost to Hinaki in the SLQ
Isn't even in the cast list for episode 178, AKA the last episode
Being Juri is suffering.
>176 raw torrent not working
anyone else getting this?
Last of the Triangle member of the cast of Pripara season 3. Name is Kanon. All of them has a streak of purple hair.
I don't think I've ever seen an official ship™ pushed that hard before. I don't mind but you'd think they would save a talk about 'becoming one' for later episodes.
worst idol fails miserably
this pleases me greatly, however the
akari victoryis pretty much cemented now
You tried your best Sumire, and you failed miserably. The lesson is, never try.
>tfw tempted to hover over the spoiler tags but still a little over 50 episodes behind
The proper use of spoiler tags is much appreciated though.
Because she's always aimed to be an original star compared to Ichigo, and winning something she never did is a good way to.
Also, what Ichigo ended up winning, the Twinkle Star Cup, was far grander than the Starlight Queen Cup. Look at the pitiful stage they're performing on and contrast the Milky Way Big Stage from the Twinkle Star Cup.
Too cute, please send help.
Before watching this episode, I started thinking of just who is supporting who, and which of our idols rely on others. This entire time, Sumire has been walking almost alone down her thorny rosen path, bringing others to her like Rin whenever she wants. Even now she faces her challenges alone, and more seriously than anyone else. In contrast, Hinaki receives support from everyone. Getting that bouquet and having Kayoko and Mikuru in the audience for her only drove that point home. But even now, moments before the Cup, Akari is still thinking of how to help others. I'm pretty excited to see what Sena's going to do or say in the moments he has before Akari's turn next episode, and what an SA Fever appeal actually looks like.
To be quite honest I don't understand the backlash against Akari. Or I guess I do understand it, considering the reaction of some at the end of season 2. I know how easy it is to let your emotions take control of your brain.
>To be quite honest I don't understand the backlash against Akari.
Akari was cute when she was working hard just to meet the bare minimum skill level to be an idol. Now all of a sudden she's the best idol in the middle school and rather than getting away from Ichigo player 2 she became Ichigo.
Akari's gotten better, that much is obvious and I agree. It's the suddenly part I don't agree with. The same viewing standards don't exactly apply now like they did in season 1. To begin with, the Ichigo generation nearly reached Mizuki level in less than a year. Here, there's no slightly older and super good idol to directly compare them to, so you can only compare them to each other. Even the Great Starlight School Festival at the end of season 3 was a popularity contest, not one of skill, so even now it's not like they're suddenly Ichigo gen level. It's taken just as long or longer for them to all get this good, so I think they should be judged appropriately.
oy vey mr goldenstein it's getting hot in here
First it was how the hair was similar, now just because of a purple streak? And why would Non receive a ticket? Lala was supposed to be one of the youngest idols to receive her ticket when she began anon.
If I remember correctly, Ichigo and Aoi were one of the very few that aced the entrance exam out of a bunch of people, so Ichigo generation already came in strong. Only Ichigo surpassed Mizuki and the entire series was built around Ichigo running after Mizuki trying to reach her.
What bothers me about Akari is that she failed her initial entrance exam, only got into Starlight because she caught Ichigo's eye, did so poorly when she got in that she had to go to Aikatsu bootcamp just to avoid getting kicked out, and then shot straight to the top. I get that she worked hard, but so did everyone else. Juri, Hinaki, and Rin already had backgrounds in the industry and were working hard when Akari was at home watching Ichigo perform. The appeal to Akari for me was that she worked hard at doing what she loved despite not being particularly good at it. It feels like the only reason she's going to become SLQ is because shes the main character and the series is ending.
I won't use it as an excuse either way, but raw amount of time isn't always the only way to compare idols; if it was then there'd be a linear relationship between time and skill. Akari certainly had a lot of trouble at the beginning, but was that really for lack of potential, or was it just that it hadn't "clicked" with her yet? We see again and again that one of her defining characteristics is never giving up no matter what: building sandcastles and blocks as a child, finding berries for Sena, looking for Mizuki in the movie.
I'm going to be honest here, I stopped typing and forgot my original point. The important part is that it's not like Akari wasn't meant to be an idol, it's just that her first hurdle was much higher than everyone else's. She didn't have singing, dancing, acting, performing experience at all, just love for her idol, a bright smile, and a never give up attitude. And when she got over that hurdle, she was able to flourish.
I'm not the anon you've been replying too, but I share his opinion, yet I hadn't considered your point of view. I think it makes a little more sense when you think about it like that, but as someone who used to really like Akari in S2, she has completely lost her appeal to me.
I liked her as that idol who was overcoming her hurdles and difficulties. She lost everything that made her standout from the others when she was suddenly a contender for top idol. Like I said, your points do make sense, but I still think that the progression was too sudden.
On the topic of today's episode,
and I'm biased because Sumire is my favorite Akari Generation idol, I actually feel better about her not winning due to a mistake rather than being unfairly surpassed by Akari (who shouldn't be as proficient in either singing or dancing). It still leaves a bitter taste though but at least Hinaki didn't get a Special A either. Also, we got some cute sidle shots.
Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm still really salty. But at least I'm feeling bitter today and not next week with what could be Akari unfairly beating Sumire.
The writing in today's episode didn't emotionally hook me like some past episodes, but it still deceived me and then threw me for a loop.
I had known since they mentioned it that somebody would fail a Special A, but I convinced myself that Hinaki, Sumire, and Akari would take the top three spots. Even when Sumire said she'd go for an SA even with the possibility of failing at the beginning of this episode my silly brain didn't notice her fail flag. The episode title of Rosen Queen made me convinced she'd take the top, so during her performance I was so excited to see a Special A appeal I was blindsided by her failure. This is the sort of stuff I want to see more of in Stars, I want to see more crying.
Also, nice sidle.
Sumire is not my favorite idle, but damn why did they had to do that to her while Hinaki didn't get shit? Rin-chan was supporting her so much and that shit happened.
Akari will most likely succeed her Special A.
Do you mean you also wanted Hinaki to fail? She only reached A level, although Orihime and Mizuki comment that she was just, just barely away from SA, but not quite there. It's like on the first day where Risa was barely A level.
You say Rin was supporting Sumire, but Hinaki also had Mikuru and Kayoko's support. It all evens out.
The episode title
was a really mean bait and switch. I honestly thought Hinaki would be the one to fail the appeal, and part of me still hoped that Akari would be the one to experience it, but even after Hinaki's performance ended and she got the top spot I was so thrilled to see Sumire take it that I completely forgot about that as well. My one big hope for Stars is that there's an actual rival character, and I hope she's like a Pretty Rhythm type of rival. The thing I disliked the most about S3 and S4 was the lack of competitiveness tension. I was waiting for Aikatsu's Hibiki to show up but I guess that was too much to ask for.
That's what I'll die believing in.
Of course I didn't want Hinaki to fail, just like I didn't want Sumire to.
My expectations for this entire cup were overthrown a couple times. I wasn't expecting Juri to hold first place through the entire second day, I thought either between Rin or Madoka would surpass her. I wasn't expecting Nono to beat Risa either. As for the third day, I expected Hinaki not to do an SA Fever Appeal, but I was sure Sumire would pull it off and Akari would barely edge her out with her own in the next episode.
I can understand why some people don't like Akari as much anymore (I still like her, but less than I used to), but to say she doesn't deserve to win is outrageous. People keep citing that she had to go to boot camp early on which means she's bad, but it means that she had to learn the hard way very early on that she really needs to put in a lot of work to get good, and a lot of other idols didn't need to go through that. She probably learned that she does need to put in a little bit more work than everyone else. On top of that, she has no other top idol competition, its just the girls from her generation. If she was beating Ichigo or Mizuki then that would be fucking bullshit, but she's beating Sumire and Hinaki. Hinaki focuses mostly on being a model, Juri focuses mostly on being an actress, Rin, Madoka, Nono and Risa all have much less experience than her, which basically only leaves Sumire as a top level contender. Even if Sumire
didn't fuck up, is it really that crazy for Akari to beat her? She has had moments where it did seem like Sumire was the most popular of the Akari gen in-universe, but it was never some giant gap between her and the rest. Regardless of how much you like Akari, she definitely deserves it. I also have my own theory about another reason Akari is becoming disliked. Her voice has become way less cute since the beginning.
Hinaki hasn't gotten shit for 70 episodes, she deserves one nice moment.
All of Hinaki's focus episodes are glorious, I don't know what Aikatsu you've been watching. Unless you mean "what has Hinaki won in the last 70 episodes", in which case you have a point.
I'm sorry, I swear this will be my last hinakifagging.
>If she was beating Ichigo or Mizuki then that would be fucking bullshit
To be fair, they went out of their way to make the S3 Aikatsu8 and the Great Starlight Festival's ranking systems not based on the quality of the performances, but on public vote. I can sorta buy the new idol group gathering more interest than a veteran one.
I would have rather SQC not be a major plot point for multiple episodes and had a sidle won it with Akari getting an honorable mention and ending the series on a positive note of "Even though I didn't win, I'm going to continue trying my hardest!"
sumire and hinaki are so much better
akari a shit
especially the hair current hairstyle a shit
You can watch the whole of Aikatsu in 3 days. 4 if you are wimp.
How was the episode?
And let's not forget Yurika-sama and Kaede.
It kinda seemed like to me, that Sumire put the most effort into SQC, started before everyone, and it seemed like she really wanted to win.
I don't trust anyone who says they watch such a large amount of episodes in such a short amount of time. It usually means they either let it play on a second monitor while occasionally glancing at it or just let it play continuously despite any distractions which leads to them not actually remembering anything they watched or drifting off in the middle of episodes.
It took me a week but I watched all of it without even skipping OPs and EDs a single time and I remember every episode. It just takes dedication
and getting addicted to a little girl's show like a drug.
Replace "Ichigo" with "BNP", add more tears.
Absolutely. Even though it wasn't handled the best way (what with those ties and shit), I really like the "friendly rivalry" between Seira and Ichigo. But if they want Stars to have a different feel, then I think a true rival would be a great way to shake things up.
This image reminds me of the episode when Wakana couldn't do her three jumps, and was being pulled down by some throny plant. But at least Wakana got to do the
jumps, unlike poor Sumire.
Wow, didn't expect Ichigo on /pol/, guess time to Make Aikatsu Great Again.
>calling aikatsu moeshit while praising LL or [email protected]
As expected from a literal shithole. And it's not Trump that will make anime real, it's power metal.
Aikatsu Stars' character designer is gonna be at Anime Boston, so that means I've got to represent /ai/ and throw a fit
dressed as Ichigo
Although really I find the new designs cute, just jarring after so long.
How would you cheer up Kokoro?
I want to play with Kokoro's wet pussy.
Ok, so I got to reading the thread, and it's horrible.
I didn't expect much from /pol/, especially during election time, but it really became /b/ 2.0
I was just reading this http://www.wikihow.com/Cheer-Someone-Up. I needed to cheer up a friend of mine,
It was really helpful untill I got to the part about telling the truth about a boyfriend, so I realized how shitty the writer is.
I'll do my best! Leaving from CT at 5AM should be early enough for me to make it.
Nice quote but no
/ai/ - Idle Activities
So Trump is /ai/ related, right?
I want to do some aikatsu card trading and priticket snapping with others.
Aikatsu's chief animation director commenting on Trump is. Are you being retarded on purpose?
I miss the Lady Jewelpet political discussions.
please don't kill me with Ichigo. I love her too much this cuteness I can't handle
She never left my heart and she never will.
Is this Shiki or something?
She looks positively ded
Jonny backstory episodes are the best
Headsets in coords are even worse than skank tattoos.
I wanted to post more pictures, but my internet is kill, In other words, it's at its potato speed where I can't post images. Only texts.
>double heart attack.jpg
those are the pictures I wanted to post. Look forward to it, to when the speed sky rocket a little.
Then let me tell you about how wonderful these sound...
These neko-phones/speakers are too meme to even get mad about though.
Oh shit, Sakuracon?
