I think that's more obsession.
It's like you have a girlfriend who hooks with you and walks out on you several times, yet you still "love" her despite she's being a cunt towards you. Careful there anon, you might end up in the Stalker threads.
>tfw my biggest fear is I'll die before finishing HxH and Berserk
>tfw each day I inch towards death
i know how you feel bro
He's a millionaire, he's banging the creator of sailor moon, plays DQ all the time, has a massive lead over other mangaka when it comes to timing, breaks, leads and deals and doesn't have to worry about being empty.
I'd say he has good reasons to not care that much. Besides we (western) fans get it for free anyway.
Also see >>138660631
>these people giving false hope
you know its better to give them a latter timeline than have it crushed by Togashi's laziness lol
It's always what happens you retarded newfag, plus the date where the chapter comes out after the announcement has nothing to do with Togashi, it's WSJ's call.
Just kill yourself.
>wanting more of the 2011 anime
>wanting DC chapters adapted by Madhouse
>They adapted CA really well.
Out of all the shit memes, this has to be the worst. The pacing is utter garbage after episode 90 and they fucked up the narration by placing it on stills while nothing happens on screen. Also the first episode and the one where Kite dies are mostly filler trash because they didn't know how to adapt a series properly.
I bet you think the movies are good too.
>They adapted CA really well
It's almost like a different fucking series in the anime. They did an awful job at adapting it.
It was alright until the palace arc and they started stretching every shot as long as possible plus stock footage abuse to bloat the episode count. And that godawful narrator.
>ignored these threads for days thinking they were bait
>mfw I'm instantly reminded of what happened the previous times HxH/berserk was "back"
Incidentally, I was checking up the chapter release chart to revel in the pain when I noticed 2015 is the first year Togashi released nothing. The end is nigh.
Come on anon, it's back, you should be more positive. The sad times come later.
>they fucked up the narration by placing it on stills while nothing happens on screen
Among the problems it has, this was the biggest fault of the 2011 anime. The narration was fucking intrusive, disrupting any sense of fluidity in the scenes. I don't know why they thought it would work just as well as it did in the manga.
>How come this guy not fired already?
Yu Yu Hakusho.
HxH is one of the best selling series they have, despite the hiatuses.
I don't even care about hiatuses anymore, for me HxH ended after CA arc when Gon could finally sit down and have a chat with Ging.
Everything else from that point onwards is a bonus.
He sold over 100 millions, his wife is rich and he is probably Japan's second favorite mangaka (he was second couple of years ago just after Oda). He literally has everything he wants. Except desire to work.
Togashi just gives up, and wraps up the plot in one chapter with a montage sequence
>Gon gets his Nen back because bullshit
>They go to Dark Continent, nobody finds anything there, everyone goes back
>The Royal Family all die of AIDS
>Gyro would later die of a cold, his subordinates never found him
>Kurapika hunted down and killed all of the Spiders
>Turns out they'd gotten really drunk one night and decided it would be really fun to massacre a clan
>Leorio became a doctor
>The Zoldycks gave up their lives as assassins and now star in a reality TV show
>Hisoka never scored
>Gon became a deadbeat dad, the cycle continues
Yeah, pretty sure we'll get it with the new volume.
I don't think that really matters. Leorio and Kurapika have nothing to do with pigs and rats.
The Zodiacs just modeled themselves after the names Netero gave them because they're a bunch of cosplaying nerds
GON IS BACKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!
YGO film chapters will be published in Issue 19 and 20
Naruto in 21 and 22
It says April so there's only Issue 18 left for HxH
Looks like its time to go re-read the manga.
>get to see the beautiful pika again
I'm actually excited for this. Sure, it'll probably be one or two chapters, and then another hiatus, but the arc's been enjoyable so far. My problem with something like Berserk is that I forget about it for years, which is what I do with Hunter x Hunter so the hiatus isn't really bad, anyways, get back to it, only to come back to a boat ride or something worse. There's no payoff for the wait or any reason to be hyped.
Gon's story arc pretty much ended there, so his meeting with Ging really is a good stopping point. The entire reason he left Whale Island in the first place was to meet his dad, so it makes sense for the story to change its focus towards Kurapica and Leorio, since the Spiders are still alive and Leorio's not a doctor. Gon's story, however, might as well be over.
>I've been following Hunter x Hunter since you were probably in elementary school.
Then you would know that his story isn't over because he still needs to find what he wants to do, not to mention that there's still the Gyro plot point that hasn't been resolved you dumb 11fag.
Is Alluka the biggest asspull in the history of manga?
>people bring up Gyro in every hxh thread
>i totally forgot who he was has to look him up each time.
why do we think this dude is important again? I thought he got eaten by ants and died.
Not really, if Togashi wanted he could have written Gon to simply lose his nen or the exorcist to be able to heal him.
If Nanika doesn't end up being related to the Ais i'd be really disappointed though.
How the hell did Killua know about Alluka, Illumi and Zeno's powers yet not know what Nen is?
How come they never taught him to use Nen when Kalluto is younger and is already stronge enough with Nen to join the PT?
We already knew he exist and wasn't around in the Zoldyck rescue arc (which means there was something going on with him), so no, not really an ass pull.
I'm confused about this page. Does this mean Gon still has aura, and he just can't see it anymore? Or am I misunderstanding something?
Gyro has nothing to do with Gon's story arc, and I have no clue what you're talking about with the former (nor why you wouldn't be aware of it if you only watched the 2011 anime since I skipped everything in it prior to Greed Island).
Which characters are you looking forward to see the most in the upcoming arcs? I want to see best boys.
Saves Gon from a bear, realizes he's Ging's son, tells him about his dad, the exam and hunters. Gon mentions several times that he wants to meet him again, and they both recognize eachother immediately at the beginning of CA.
Saves Gon from a bear, fucks off immediately afterwards, only finds out he was Ging's son after finding him. They both take like 15 minutes to vaguely remember eachother, Gon doesn't even know his name.
I read the CA arc. Gon mentioning Gyro once or twice just wasn't important enough for me to remember that it happened.
I probably would have agreed with you prior to Kurapika's reappearance. I sure as hell never thought we'd see Kurapika or Leorio again, and apparently neither did Madhouse, since they apparently shafted some of the later's Hunter Exam and Zolydeck Arc screen time, but now that Kurapika's important again the Spiders, and their power levels, are also important. Crazy to think that Kurapika and Leorio are more or less the main characters now.
Gon never mentionned Gyro. Way to show you haven't actually read the manga, but why would you lie on the internet? You'd make it much easier on yourself if you just admitted you have no idea what you're talking about.
>Tries to source an image
>Thinks that will help him win an argument
And you call other people retards.
What argument you gigantic faggot? All i did was point out that mentioning Togashi was irrelevant to the question that dude asked
Also the source isn't the image, it was your filename
Stop embarassing yourself and go back to /v/
Togashi is relevant to the manga but not to the question that guy asked, jesus fucking christ
At this point i'm fairly sure you're either legitimately retarded or shitposting so this will be my last (You)
I did. Just because Hunter x Hunter wasn't on your radar before 2011 doesn't mean that it was particularly obscure, for anyone reading manga during the mid-2000s boom. I marathoned the manga, including CA, ages ago and watched the first anime over a decade prior.
>animefag says or asks something retarded
>mangafag tells him he's retarded and to read the manga to get his answers
>animefag gets butthurt and calls mangafags obnoxious
Every single time.
>n-no i totally read it guys, even though i keep asking stupid questions and saying things that are factually wrong
This is getting embarassing now, you should stop posting. If you stop acting like a retard i might even spoonfeed you.
I'm not even an animefag (in fact I know how much you guys exaggerate things because I actually have read it), but keep up with your super cool strawman for anyone who disagrees with you, guys.
>i'm not an animefag, i just don't know about that thing that is only in the manga but not in the anime
You should have given up when you pulled that "Gon mentioning Gyro" out of your ass and people called your bullshit out.
>people saying read the manga
How the hell do you guys remember a single panel of a manga series in which said panel has amounted to anything yet and never meant anything during the arc it was said in? I read it a while back and i totally forgot about Gyro, all i remember from gyro was he had a shit dad and he had a mafia.
It hasn't amounted to much yet because there's hardly been that many chapters since it fucking happened. I forgot who Gyro was too until I reread it. That was very obvious foreshadowing for a future arc of some kind.
>wow you guys how do you remember that important thing the manga said? don't you have ADD like me?
How the fuck do you forget about a page that mentions that the future villain is supposed to meet the main character? How the fuck did you forget that Welfin screams about Gyro to Meruem and went to search for him?
>animefags complained about not understanding anything
I wouldn't be surprised if they were the same people defending 2011 for being a supposedly 1:1 adaptation of the manga. I remember a guy complaining because the DC chapters had too much dialogue, for fuck sake.
>several years ago
Is this bait or are animefags this retarded?
>y-y-you did read the manga
Is literally their response to every opinion that disagrees with their own. At first I was certain that they were trolling; now, I'm only partially sure.
I think people are more upset at the fact that first guy tried to act like he knew everything while asking a stupid question. If it's the same anon as you then you really shouldn't be complaining about people expecting you to remember an important moment in the series.
>Is literally their response to every opinion that disagrees with their own
Those are not opinions, If what you're claiming is present in the original work, it's a fact. If it doesn't, you're wrong. Simply as that.
hxh threads are always shit because no other shonen is this elitist about their threads.
This entire thread has been fujos talking about characters they wanna fuck while the rest of us fight over who is the most elite.
I am the most elite btw.
yeah cause fuck interpreting a scene differently than one another, cause that would be wrong.
bitches plz I'm most elite cause i know the mangaka of this series My dad delivers his amazon mail
What the fuck is there to interpret you stupid nigger? The manga flat out states Gyro will eventually meet Gon. Those other anons were saying they didn't see how Gyro was relevant to Gon's storyline.
stop getting excited. ya'll do know that after a certain amount of chapters he's gonna fuck off again and turn the series back into hiatus mode
unless he states that the upcoming volume will be the finale one then don't get excited for this procrastinator of an author
Why is it so yellow?
It's the Viz translation, it's on Nyaa
>There is literally nothing wrong with elitism.
/jp/ is elitist as fuck but their board has the quality of a bunch of pigs rolling in mud. Elitism doesn't speak for the quality, it just make you a good for nothing arrogant retard
There is nothing wrong with intellectualism either but there is something wrong with pseudo intellectualism anon.
I guess that's true but there probably also are going to be some people who will notice the differences. Well at the very least there's nothing wrong with calling out their faggotry, plus seeing them sperg out in their attempts at damage control always makes those threads more entertaining.
Hey now, i'm just telling some faggots asking stupid questions to read the manga if they want their answers, is fedora tipping a blanket term you use for things that make you upset?
>all sorts of manga say lots of things and never happen.
>Togashi just included several chapters on the life of a completely random, new character in the middle of an arc because he doesn't plan to use him in the future
Simply saying "read the manga" fails to provide any sort of explanation or response to the one asking the question. It isn't sufficient enough to justify posting, and suggests that you're either too lazy to give a proper answer, or simply don't have one.
Here's another thing morons do in these threads. Calling someone /v/ermin and the like is an ad hominem response that is basically equivalent to
>I don't have a decent retort for this post, so I'm just gonna spout off this buzzword. That'll show 'em!
I can't stop laughing at this thread. Holy shit, it's so fucking bad.
>come to the thread to talk about how excited I am for HunterxHunter's return
>this is the thread
I'm not whining at all. I'm just pointing out how much of a dumbass you look by replying to a stupid question with an even more stupid post while thinking that it makes you an elitist,.
How is that stupid you fucktard? The original post was this >>138666794
It's pretty clear that guy has only seen the anime because, unlike in the manga, it doesn't say that Gon will meet Gyro eventually. Therefore people told him to read the manga before posting, telling him where to look if he wants his answer without holding his hand.
You are so autistic it's actually making me wonder if you're shitposting or just really challenged.
>Killuafagging and gender discussions are better right?
no, but arguing over Gyro a character that probably won't show up till after the dark continent 7 years from now is stupid.
we should be talking about what we want to see happen in DC arc.
It gives you the knowledge that the info is in the manga, and that's enough to mean you can literally fucking google it. HxH has multiple wikis, this shit is NOT hard to find and nobody is obligated to spoon feed you.
They more than likely already know that the information they are looking for regarding their question is in the manga. It's just a weak response, because as I've already re-iterated. Telling them to "read the manga" won't actually make them read the manga.
>They more than likely already know that the information they are looking for regarding their question is in the manga.
You're talking out of your ass, read his post again. All he said was that he didn't see how Gyro was relevant to Gon's storyline, he didn't mention the anime or the manga. What would make you assume this?
Because that wasn't the discussion at hand at all, you moron. The topic of elitism rose from a post that had nothing to do with that argument. It's your own fault for being too dense to realize that.
He won't be after Leorio makes love to him in their complimentary bedroom on black whale ship
>trying to start this gyro thing up again
fuck off mate we're finally getting this thread somewhere.
I'd say yes. hes probably gotten close a couple of times but never made it home.
>shit, gon is not even relevant anymore
he might be "crippled" but he could get better. or hxh could pull a yusuke and say Gon is half demon. heck we don't know anything about Gon's real mom iirc.
What needs to be explained? People gain skills from working, especially if they're smart to begin with. Logic and constructive thinking are pretty generic traits, they could be learned through manual labour that involves constructing things.
a next arc villain became his super villain self by being a construction worker? have you seen a construction worker "working"? they just stand there holding signs while that one dude does all the work.
>How come they never taught him to use Nen when Kalluto is younger and is already stronge enough with Nen to join the PT?
Kalluto wasn't "strong enough" to joint the GR/PT. He had a skill they needed so they let him join. When he watched Feitang fight he realized he was massively outclassed.
>Saves Gon from a bear, fucks off immediately afterwards, only finds out he was Ging's son after finding him.
Correction. That's the shit anime Kite. In the God version anime, Kite realized who Gon was and they talked about Gin.
They are two of the most successful mangaka of all time. They would have to have an exhorbitant lifestyle to run out of money. From what I understand, they spend most of their time screwing around and playing video games, so I think they're fine for money.
So who's excited to see how they survive on the DC?, I hope for a combination between the hunter exams + chimera ants, survival, skills, and the whole interactions between the characters.
>>I'm sure there will be a lot of deaths.
>ant arc really dark arc
>handful of non-important named characters died.
>only one of value was lost.
I'm not too worried. not sure why we think HxH will just kill all the beloved characters at the drop of a hat. this ain't a kill em all style of show.
What do you expect Kurapika to do in this upcoming arc? I know he's going to fight a evil prince.
don't forget edgy assassin shotas
At some points, I wonder why mangaka don't just make these characters girls if they want to draw girls so badly. Would Kalluto being a girl change anything? There is no reason for him to not be a girl. If Togashi wants him to be a boy than he should draw a boy.
>>only one of value was lost
What about Netero? Only 9 chapters of the DC arc, and it's already established the Chimera Ants were just a joke in comparison.
I wouldn't be surprised if a couple of Zodiacs die now.
In one volume of Yu Yu Hakusho, Togashi wrote he was interested in writing a story about a trans boy (with a drawing included). There are a couple of traps already in YYH.
>I wonder why mangaka don't just make these characters girls if they want to draw girls so badly
You dumbass. They don't mimic the formula because they think they are not allowed to draw girls. They mimic it because it sells to closet cross-dressers, trans & gay readers.
>What about Netero?
hes the one of value lost. but his death played a very important part in the next arc and now the DC arc as well considering his brother is coming.
He did actually write a ftm trans character in level E. I think he just likes gender ambiguity, but the Zoldycks have a lot of chinese associations so maybe it's also that he thought they should have all boys.
And maybe I'm wrong, I only have a vague recollection of this, but isn't there some Asian tradition of dressing young boys as girls before a certain age to ward off something supernatural, like ghosts or demons or something?
What makes you think they're Japanese influenced? Zeno in particular dresses like a chinese stereotype and has all those dragon related powers, and nips always draw chinese characters with slanty eyes like Killua.
Isn't there a phrase by Morel that he isn't actually the strongest nen-user around (I think not necessarily hunters). There's like 5 people who are more capable than him or something?
Who here agrees that Phantom Group is comfiest villain group they've ever seen
Yeah, I should've asked why you think it's just Japanese and not Chinese too since it's probably something like >>138679207 and I can see the Japanese influence myself.
Hunter hunter is the right pronunciation, and it sounds more natural to me. They say it in the anime.
I love how HxH is always on hiatus and is has so much less content than other shonens, but has one of the highest gradings in MyAnimeList.
Oh yeah, Last Mission was pretty lame. If anything, it was a good and more than enough introduction to Pariston's personality in a 30 seconds scene where the Hunter Association is in risk of going to shit and Bean just looks at him while he's reading his paper smiling and Pariston just looks at him and waves happily.
>but has one of the highest gradings in MyAnimeList.
Anon please, don't let your newfaggotry be so obvious.
It is pretty impressively popular though, considering it doesn't even have a dub.
Everyone has free access to the internet now.
I doubt it. I mean he's mostly Gon's villain really. and I don't think the zoldycks will play a large role in this arc either so Hisoka can't show up through that one partner of his (whos name I'm completely forgetting)
This is reprinting right?
Well, many things come into factor then. For example, the fact that there was already an anime series running the same story with a polished art style and soundtrack.
People who liked the show already had the manga too and probably just bought one or two volumes they might've missed way back when.
>but his death played a very important part in the next arc and now the DC arc as well considering his brother is coming.
Methinks you need to reread the DC arc. Beyond Netero is not Izaac Netero's brother.
