To my surprise this show had not only good songs also good BGM
I want to hold Mugi's warm hands on these cold German nights -_-
>See nothing but blue stripes
Most be nice
I am literally going to marry Azusa.
Legend says that once Ui and Yui were the same person but her power was to big for this world. Debating between her her wishes and her responsibilities she split her self in two. This why you at first you never don't see her parents because they leave alone and also why there is a shrine right next to their house. Legend also says that this is bullshit
I just realized how fucked the perspective is here.
It's like her legs end at the knee.
Still pretty hot though
Can something be cute and lewd at the same time?
Azunyan can be everything. Flower and rainbow. Manifestation of all perfection. Everything. I want this to not sound gay, but she is fucking perfect.
Maybe, but you'd probably see part of her legs unless she was sitting bow-legged.
Azunyan is very cute lewd.
I was thinking something like this might be the case. Hasn't everyone noticed Ui exists only to serve her onee-chan? When she isn't interacting with Yui or at least talking about her then she just becomes a human body with no presence.
Yui must have created Ui somehow. Ui is more dependent on her than vice versa.
The OST isn't that great honestly but it does have a very Walter Wanderley sort of identifiable "K-ON!" sound that I can associate with the show. Lots of organ and Rhodes piano. Also, a reminder that Train-D is part of the K-ON! sound track:
Been slowly rewatching it the past few weeks.
Whenever I feel burnt out on anime I just pop in an episode of K-On at the end of the day since its guaranteed enjoyment.
It isn't really good. Plus Mio's song is the only good character song, really.
Although the guitar intermission were great, and there are some really nice songs in the movie's OST. Like that 'Fairies' Party' one.
>Plus Mio's song is the only good character song, really.
Which one? There's four. Yeah, they aren't nearly as good as the HTT songs or OP/ED singles, but these things rarely are. The best character song is Yui's Sunday Siesta by the way.
>Not that good
Is a matter of opinion I liked all the songs the girls played on the show but I never bothered with the image songs because like >>138645209 said those are almost never good I also never remember the background music of any show I watch either.
Also this guy >>138635680 that said K-on is a show about music is a retard and should refrain from talking about shows he obviously never watched. The club is just an excuse to have the girls become friends and that is fine since this a comfy slice of life not a serious show about music.
Same here. Watching K-on at the end of shitty day puts on a good mood.
/halfyearguitar/ reporting in
spend 80% of practice time trying to learn the tab to One by Metallica
the fucking rake in the beginning hurts like a bitch, I sliced my finger open on the E string trying to play it
>my hands hurt so much but I do it for Yui
this might've been more appropriate for her
they let her in the band and she plays the macbook, so you're probably good
>not left handed
Step up senpai.
Here's one of my gitahs
Japanese 69 RI? Nice, I have the same thing!
I play guitar, mandolin, and trumpet. Can sort of play bass and piano.
Yep, MG69. I believe it was made in 2009.
It's my second not-shit guitar (first one was a Gibson Les Paul). I wanted to have a guitar with single-coils but I didn't want a boring Strat, Tele, etc., so I went with this.
I love messing with the polarity of the pickups.
Why don't you have the original Fender gig bag? It's more padded than the one you have.
It's the only SoL I rewatch. The magic never goes away, though it isn't as strong as the first time watching it.
Don't focus on learning single songs, rather, learn theory. It takes patience and discipline but once you get it down, you can fuck around with your guitar and make your ideas into music. I think doing that is more fun than learning/covering songs.
How much/where'd you buy it from?
I bought it off of buyjapan for like 1 grand.
Post keion songs
Recorded this a while ago for /gg/.
It's Muttan -> tube screamer -> twin reverb setting on my amp
Practice makes perfect anon.
If you "think" you lack talent, just make up for it with practice and discipline.
Everybody started from zero, though others may have a natural talent for music, everyone had to practice to be able to play.
Playing guitar is literally the only hobby I'm proud of. It's rewarding if you put work into it. Didn't you learn anything from K-on?
According to their profiles Azusa is better than Yui until the moment they go on stage . I doest state why but it might be because she Yui doest get stage fright and is really good when she actually focus on something which is actually the point.
Let me explain why you're wrong. Yui is a being than which none greater can be imagined. A being that exists in reality is greater than a being that does not necessarily exist. Thus, if Yui exists as an idea in the mind but does not necessarily exist in reality, then we can imagine something that is greater than Yui. But we cannot imagine something that is greater than Yui. Thus, if Yui exists in the mind as an idea, then Yui necessarily exists in reality.
You can do it anon. That was one of the first things I learned on guitar, and playing the intro over and over trying to get it down is worth it a year later when you can shred in front of people.
>Train-D is part of the K-ON! sound track
Can't make this shit up.
A cute girl feels the urge to do cute things with a cute girl.
Unable to do cute things, she is gifted with by cute ex machina with the cute girl's thing. Never minding the strange thing, she immediately does cute things, and is overjoyed to find out that cute girl wants to do cute things as well.
But, the next day, when she recounts the previous day's cute things done with the cute girl, she only looks at her with a uncute expression. After some investigation, she finds out that the cute girl she did cute things with is not the same cute girl she originaly wanted to do cute things with. In fact, she doesn't want to do cute things in this universe at all. She is the girl's alternate universe counterpart, who wants to do cute things with the MC's own alternate universe cute self, who too is blissfully unaware of her desire to do cute things.
Hijinks ensue as the two strike up a deal to give each other their cutest, most private things in order to equip the other with cute things they need to do cute things with their other cute selves. While the two do cute things with their alternate universe cute girls, NOTHING ensues as they begin to feel desire to do cute things with each other instead and question the NATURE of SoL.
I want to take my shirt off in front of Ritsu and Mio
Must be a meme about K-on Skytree merchandise.
Mio should be after Azusa and Sawa-chan
>We are essentially living in a music idol anime boom
>Idol Anime produced constantly. There's a musical anime, choir anime, even a magical, petting zoo people rock anime.
>LL's spin-off will be aired in Summer
>K-On never got a Wakaba Girls or University K-On anime
How long do I have to wait?
And before you say, 'KyoAni has to come up with original content to fill in the blanks,' I don't see how that's a problem since they have made Original Anime (Tamako Market) as well as producing OVAs.
Two seasons and a movie weren't enough.
I need more.
I love playing Utauyo!! MIRACLE, Go! Go! Maniac, Girly Storm Shissou Stick, Hikari, Unmei Wa Endless!, aaah let me stop right here or else i will list all their songs. I love playing all their songs!
MAP OF KEIONS!
I haven't forgotten what you've told me, Yui. We have no next grade, but there's still hope for the future. In our struggle to play in the present we push the future further away. Will I see it with my senpais? Probably not, which means there's no time to waste. Someday the school will no longer need us, no need for the guitar, or the hand to pluck the strings. I have to drive out this baka inside me, build a better band. That's what I, hmm, what "we" will leave as our legacy. Another mission, right, Yui?
Damn even the side characters are cute.
I agreed in the end it was her clumsiness is what made me like her. She is also like how she gets along with Ritsu. And like any keion she is naturally cute
K-On needs more
straight doujinshi featuring the girls in normal relationships with boys they like, or even kinda dislike but fuck anyway. Hitori Tower Bridge's works and Suki Suki Mio-chan are godsends.
>wanting to taint the purity of the keions
You disgust me
>implying they don't already want boyfriends but just never talk about it out of embarrassment
>implying they don't masturbate to thoughts of boys
They are already impure anon, they only need a push to complete their desires
I'm gonna beat the shit out of you.
threadly reminder that this is your average ritsufag
what would the keions think about shinzo abe barring syrian refugees from entering japan?
i'm sure the keions pity the poor people fleeing their homes, but they are also well away of how refugees bring crime and don't respect japanese culture.
Yea that was funny but cant Yui blame her that is the best part. I wonder if Nodoka did it on porpoise just to see Yui's reaction after all they are childhood friends and Yui begin to expend more time with the keions than with her and she did said that she doest know if feel sad or happy that Yui was more independent.
Yui wouldn't care nor know what refugees are
Ritsu would feel conflicted but eventually stop caring
Mugi would not want filthy fucking apes shitting up nipland
Mio wouldn't like them and wouldn't want them in the country
Asuza doesn't matter
She seemed genuinely baffled that what she did was a gaffe. You could probably spend a lifetime being Yui's friend and still not know her social dos and donts so I cant really blame her.
>Mugi would not want filthy fucking apes shitting up nipland
Everyone always wants to make Yui out to be the retard except this time Nodoka was clearly the thoughtless one. She was offered to try some keki and a piece of fruit isn't keki. I would have pounded my fist down on her chestnut right that instant.
for my 3rd rewatch should I go with English, German or French?
>watching k-on dubbed in any language except japanese
Yui's hair is like a fucking mane. How does one get it like this.
I watched the intro to episode 1 dubbed on youtube after watching the show for the first time and I couldn't stomach it. Then again, I don't like any dubs so this isn't an outlier. I just think it's a shame, cause you missed some seriously fantastic voice acting by the real cast, plus y'know, actually having them match the songs.
This. Aki and Satomi almost carry the show in a lot of ways. That's how good their performances are
I couldn't stand it myself.
I had heard about K-On! for a while, but I wasn't into moe. I had liked Azumanga though.
Decided to give it a try when it came on TV. Got through 2 eps before my ears started bleeding!
DL'd the first season and fell in love!
Now I can't even conceive the characters without their seiyū.
This to be honest. Is not that I have a beef against "baka gaijins" for preferring the dub version, is just that I can't understand why someone would bother to watch anime and not appreciate the great work of the original Japanese voice actors and instead go for the shitty, half-assed alternative.
Shoulder length hair suits her best because she actually makes it look good.
Reading subs takes your attention from watching whats going on screen and the best voice acting in the world wont change the fact that all you hear is gibberish when you dont know the language. If I did know Japanese though Id go for the original voices, no question.
I started teaching myself guitar a few days ago. It's hard to get over the crippling fear of failure that preventa me from doing a lot of things.
Everything was going pretty well until I hit the first wall known as quick and accurate chord changes.
They were all very dedicated to their roles but Aki and Satomi nailed the comic relief acting so well it elevated the whole cute-funny quality of the anime past what was previously thought to be achievable through human endeavor.
It really doesn't take too much attention. And it's not jibberish, it's clearly delivered with meaning and that meaning is universal. Do you watch other foreign content dubbed? Like if you were to watch, say, Solaris, and had the option to watch an English-dubbed version, would you?
>Reading subs takes your attention from watching whats going on screen
That shouldn't be a problem if you at least have a sixth-grade reading comprehension or unless you're a genuine fucking retard.
>Reading subs takes your attention from watching
What the fuck? No it doesn't. I'm not a child nor do I have ADD.
>Reading subs takes your attention from watching
Who says I don't? Besides, other people do, they are the ones who do the fansubbing. Why do I trust them? Because they are huge nerds, in case I feel unsure about the quality of the translation I watch other fansubs and figure out how they differ.
It's not a problem to read it but it does take your attention away. And this is a rare anime in which the characters are almost always moving around. I often double tap the space bar just so I can scan the subs while still devoting all my attention to the scene.
>Reading subs takes your attention from watching whats going on screen and the best voice acting in the world wont change the fact that all you hear is gibberish when you dont know the language.
holy fuck, are you literally retarded?
get the fuck out of /k-on/
Do you take lessons? They can be expensive but if you have a stable income I'd definitely say it's worth it. Professional instruction plus regular schedule motivates practice.
Satomi Sato gave such a broad range to Ritsu too. So often in Japanese media, because it's all so very focused on strict character archetypes, you get characters that can only do one voice. It would've been easy to have Ritsu constantly doing shrill genki-girl voice all the time in all of her scenes, but she's actually really varied in her behavior and Satomi nails this perfectly. Not to get too up my own ass but Ritsu really feels surprisingly realistic for a character in this sort of show.
Satomi is an incredible VA and Ritsu is an incredible keion
Tiny bit guitar, okay piano, all brass instruments if those matter in this thread.
Just grind it out a little everyday. Doesn't have to be everyday but obviously the more consistent, the better. Start with tabs and then later apply note names to each fret and string because that will make you understand the instrument more so.
I believe in you anon now make me proud and go make music
I like these kind of gifs. Do you have any more?
Nope sorry. But I will post this instead just because
>She cuts her own hair
That was a tense moment
>long hair Yui
This is the best thing ever
Back then I just avoided those threads and even complained about it. But now I regret not watching the show when it aired. Well serves me right for being a pretentious fag.
Season 3 should be about Robert Fripp recruiting the K-Ons for the next incarnation of King Crimson and the brutal practice sessions he puts them through.
>In Yes, there was an endless debate about should it be F natural in the bass with G sharp on top by the organ. In King Crimson ... you were just supposed to know.
Honestly I think she looks good like this.
Yui > Ritsu > Mugi > Mio > Shit > Azusa.
Guitar (electric and acoustic), some piano and some bass. Here's a sample of my guitar stuff.
Did you say K-On! generals comrade /a/non?
All Keions are equal. I used to think Azusa a shit but now I like her.
BTW where's that tab Jebus
Oh now I remember that scene. Yui fucked her hair and everyone cheers her up by sharing their mont blanc with her. I am not a Yuifag but that was really cute I liked that Ritsu was the first to share her food with her.
Yui is the best Kyoani protagonist. You don't merely view the story through her impartial perspective. She is always actively making everything feel more fuwa fuwa so that you're experiencing it the same way as her. You can relate most closely to her because her attitude is infectious. It's honestly brilliant.
Neat. Are you gonna upload it on ultimate guitar or on your Twitter?
>Ritsu worried about Yui
That much is to be expected since those two are bros. Yui was also upset when Mio said it was a mistake to get help from Ritsu or something like that.
I think Ritsu was happy to have a friend that went along with her jokes instead call her stupid and smack her in the head. I am not hating on Mio though I get that she is Ritsu's childhood friend/confident.
Tenshi ni Fureta yo washed all the little resentment I had for Azusa
Yeah, we're already mutually following each other, I'm the guy with pic related as my avatar.
If you want to post it on UG, the artist is Misc Cartoons and just put the name of the show in the title. For example, you can find K-on tabs by searching "Misc Cartoons K-On"
I think gametabs also take anime stuff.
Boring girls are my favorite.
Anyone have that image of Ura-On Mugi with the text that says "not moe"?
A pretty good scene showing how well Ritsu was acted is when she's shopping around with Tsumugi and loses at the arm-wrestling game, because she's talking in her normal voice, and then suddenly switches to a very "girlish" yelp
Maybe in an enough anniversaries we'll get another movie right? Maybe? Just maybe?
Well, if KyoAni's stuff keeps selling like shit...
I like the movie idea I don't even care of it skips the college part just to see them together again. Pic related to the movie.
Fuck that was meant for >>138695817
Only watched for the Yui pantyhose leg service. Enjoyed.
I don't think I'd react well to a sequel at all, but worst comes to worst I'd want the exact same team back on board. Ditto if they were to do another Tamako thing, those guys just bleed feeling and I'm afraid that'd be lost with a new crew. Not that either will happen, of course. Thank goodness.
Prequel with Yui and Nodoka are okay
