S-Season 2 when?
Y-Yes, next winter for sure.
Here's some status updates:
The manga scanlations are dead. The translator refuses to cooperate, so unless somebody offers to work on it (and sticks with it until the end, it's just one volume) there's not much to be done about it.
The QC for the visual novel is (not) proceeding, but at least that's all there is left to do.
Somebody's making a tank-kun 3D model for printing purposes, it's mostly done and all that's left to do is add lots of detail.
Maybe they shave just enough to make sure it doesn't show.
I teared up at the episode
where felicia met the soldier from the old time
Let's talk about how shit Felicia is at being in command.
"Oh look, a Roman scout who is likely part of the vanguard of an invading Roman army, should we tell anyone?"
"lolno, let's gamble our entire country and the lives of everyone in it on Rio"
Of course it payed off for her because of plot reasons but even then, only just. Kureha was right in wanting to tell central command so that they could reinforce the boarder and Felicia did almost everything wrong. Kureha would be a far better commander if she had more experience.
The > sign means "greater than", not "less than", anon.
Felicia is best command
She could command me all day long she is so lovely and calm, and her voice is so soft, I jsut want to rest my head on her chest and fall asleep.
Felicia = Noel > Kanata > Rio > > > > >Kureha
S2 gives the chance of ruining the perfect S1.
I don't want to take that risk.
I want Noël to be my bride
It's almost as good as Upotte.
Some anon mentioned in a past thread that even the Emperor acknowledged that their marriage was purely political, and that the never consummated it.
I'm not sure if there's any truth to this.
Mine too, friend.
Didn't she say something about him being a much better guy than she thought he would be in the last episode, after she met with him and returned to her squad?
It's a good example of this show breaking the mould, IMO. Most anime would tremble at the thought of implying something like that in anything but a negative way, but in Sora no Woto it contributes to the antique political feeling. Name another anime or manga where an arranged marriage isn't considered tragic.
I wasn't sure if they went through with the marriage in the first place. She seemingly went straight back to call off the battle in the nick of time.
The emperor had three other wives so who can say what their cultural rules precisely are?
There's that VN that's being translated which takes place after the TV series ends and has her return to the base to goof off with all the other girls and a VN original character.
I'd hate to think of that as a "real sequel" and not because I'm a saberfag who likes seeing waifus blacked, but because I like the idea of her trying to find the way to save the world and traveling around in that balloon. If the VN is a real sequel and not just a comedy spinoff it shits all over the ending.
S2 should tell more about the first war when they face the giant birds, or maybe some OVAs about his.
No it doesn't shit over the ending. It's technically a sequel, yes, but it's a standalone story that was played as safe as possible just in case an actual, proper sequel came along.
Like many of these games, I assume the story was not written by the original authors (and it kinda shows, unfortunately), but it was fun enough and it had a few heartwarming and a few sob moments among the random fun stuff. The ending was neat, too.
So dunno, it may be a third-party PSP cash-in, but I liked it nevertheless.
>No it doesn't shit over the ending.
What happens? Does she only come back temporarily or what? From what I read, the wedding is called off, she goes back to the base, but the base is now defunded since there's no longer a war so the girls have to put on a music show to make money to keep the garrison going. Does the VN say anything about her future plans?
>Does the VN say anything about her future plans?
Not really, it is about 10 days of slice of life mostly. A spoiler from the true end is that
A year after the festival of the VN, they are at the next festival.. While some remarks are made to the story of the anime, there are no particularly interesting things revealed.
Also Filicia is a terrible cook.
>In fact, is there anything that Filicia isn't shit at?
she is lovely and caring, she is the one I would talk hours about all the sadness in the world, while drinking some red wine or have a smoke only interrupted by intense cuddling.
Was this an accurate translation? Because it implies they're engaged and still unmarried.
You're on a whole different level of faggot.
The episode about felicia's past was fucking spooky.
That talking corpse
this makes me angrier than If I hadnt known
>somewhere their is a alternate universe where SAO ended after 13 episodes and Sora no Woto got 3 seasons, video game, and card game
The mood whiplash compared to the previous episodes was fantastic, and the ending by the river totally sold the show's bittersweet mood for me.
damn, guess I have to watch Durara now.
I guess I could just relax and enjoy some beer and tapas. I think I pretty much covered most of the stuff shown in Sora no Woto except MAYBE places from the ED scene, I think that might've also been the No Man's Land border too. I could be wrong. I'm not going until June/August so I've got plenty of time to plan.
fuck me, even more reason to hate SAO.
It only shows up in the background once or twice.
Oh I already know, I am not going to like it. Need get that shit out of my backlog anyway.
I hear it goes even more shit in the recent season. Anyway, will go back to watching Escaflow now (I always drop by for Wotos threads). You anons have a confy thread and never forget.
The whole servante du feu/amazing grace scene is god tier
>servante du feu
>for the past couple of yearly livestreams now (and including original first time watching) I would always cry ever so slightly.
Anon, there two kinds of people. Those who never finished the show/ or didn't understand it and those who always cry, at least, a bit for that entire scene.
Why not go bitch about this in your local /ak/ thread?
Am I a faggot for welling up at the end of the
orphan episode with the hair ties where she gives her the box and asks her to do her hair ?
>posting best girl
Stop forcing me to respect you, tripfag.
You bunch of sissies.
I can't help but cry at the last Amazing Grace. Drinking some wine makes it extra comfy.
I want her to use my mouth as a toilet.
It's that time again.
Also I wish at least SnW fans would call it New Britain. That's what the melody is called. Only the poem is Amazing Grace.
Le pont de pierre is also pretty neat, when riding in the bus or tram, looking out of the window, while your thoughts circle around the degeneration of the modern world.
It was cute, though. And cute things are the biggest draw of the show. I would argue that if you don't like girls needing to piss then this show just isn't for you.
>cute things are the biggest draw of the show
>not the setting or music
They are certainly cute, but can find cute things everywhere.
>generic underdeveloped setting
>competent but completely misused music
So fucking many good shows out there, but you people keep reminding me of this soulless dreck of a show.
Go watch more titles already, get some perspective.
For me the appeal was the general character and also the mysterious nature of the show. There was so much complexity beneath the surface, and so much to be discovered. In the world, in the characters, in the themes. It really felt like exploration. I was exploring a beautiful comfy landscape, with tons of new things to discover, escorted by cute military girls.
How is the music misused? It fits the show perfectly, Girls who one who loves the trumpet in the middle of no where.
Guys, guys, we forgot the girl with the cutest German.
She also speaks it better than the roman girl, even though her seiyouu was born in vienna.
So I was pretty impressed about that.
I can sexualize any of the Wotos given the right circumstances, but Yumina is the only one I can't not sexualize at any given time.
I'm not sure if you've read my post right or not, but it works either way.
>but it works either way.
I am fine with that.
>competent but completely misused music
Great the passive aggressive idiot from couple of threads ago. Fuck off already, either you like the show and its music or you are indifferent about it. If latter the stop posting here.
Nothing wrong with that.
I love Noel, but after my 2nd watch, I began to like Kureha a lot, I see some of myself on her, being the tryhard one that will try to look tough so things don't come apart.
I'm still not sure whether I should keep on hoping for S2 or just give up. Maybe if I keep on believing it will happen.
Only 291 days (I think) until the next annual stream.
I can't wait to get loaded with you fags again.
You think Noel would've had to stand trial in season 2? Seems kind of weird they'd just let her walk around freely after killing large groups of people then again she was probably pardoned because she didn't really know what she was getting herself into when working on the machine.
It was definitely there, in the flashback where they show the spider tanks fighting you can see a reflection of its wing on a skyscraper.
She was not aware of what she was working on, so she's not really guilty.
She basically got the lab up and running again but didn't know or understand what it would be used for. Still, the Romans clearly know her name and attribute her to the wiping out of hundreds of thousands of people so her freedom would certainly be an issue for them in peacetime.
OVA depicting Noel's capture in Argentina when?
>Season 2 would've been about the Woto's past
>Noel doing science related things
>Kanata traveling through Europe
>Rio learning to accept her destiny
>Felicia's PTSD adventures
>Whatever the hell Kureha got up too
It would've ended in one nice giant circle with Kanata boarding the train she's on in episode one.
My fucking sides holy shit, you people can't be this retarded.
Roman side would be cool to see, we really don't know a lot about their society and culture other than the Emperor likes to waifu princess from different countries to keep order.
I'm pretty sure it used to happen, usually when the groom was homosexual. But yeah, in this case it's kind of naïve to think that Rio didn't get the royal D.
Reminds me of that anon in some SAO thread who said he thought Kirito and Asuna only slept together.
B-But that's forbidden love!
I've seen some pics of that, I don't think I have the one with the bag of pieces saved though, and I don't remember who made them or whether they were ever available for purchase.
>mfw I bought the last patches from dmcpatchbro's patch run
I only just missed them.
At least he says he might make more.
>Season 2 would've been about the Woto's past
>Rio traveling to isolated communities trying to survive as their land is slowly dying, establishes trade agreement, starts rebuilding with the Roman and Helvetian armies
>Noel using her knowledge to build roads, airplanes and communications lines
>Filicia retiring and going legit with calvados production
still recovering from her EP 7.5 trauma
>Kanata being Kanata, following Rio and teaching the art of trumpetah to children
Eurofags have a culture.
That's season 3
>Filicia retiring and going legit with calvados production
You think that was Resoli they where making and selling? It's Cuenca's local brew so it would fit. I have a bottle on my shelf which I've still not finished yet.
If I'm watching more Sora no Woto, I'd rather the Wotos at least be together for some reason instead of it constantly switching back and forth between the scenarios. There would have to be some plot point that reunites all (or most) of them.
Has an orange like taste to it, quite nice, I recommend picking up some if you're in Cuenca. I also got a hanging house for my bookshelf, I think the shop is right next to the demon looking fountain Kanata plays with the cat or maybe it was near the tourist advisor place.
I can't speak for everyone but it's nice to have an anime not set in generic Japan or America for a change.
Anime arguably isn't quite as common a thing in Europe at least in comparison to the number of weebs in the USA. What gets watched by people who didn't grow up as weebs is normally that which is notably 'different' from any non-japanese content rather than the more generic stuff.
They are such bad drinkers.
>Anime arguably isn't quite as common a thing in Europe at least in comparison to the number of weebs in the USA.
But that's just plain wrong, Italy and France are some of the most weeaboo nations in the world.
>Also, by counting all the spanish-translated stuff you're lumping in all of south America, so it's not a fair comparison.
That's why I wrote
>or maybe they are all in south america.
>implying earth isn't heading into the state it is seen in SnW
A slow end to the world isn't so bad.
There's a famous ancient music festival in Cuenca and I'm pretty sure it's a fairly famous tourist spot. I do hope the situation improves if they manage to split up, Spain isn't doing so well.
You die as soon as you give up, anon.
>I will be the fate we all have to face.
And you are?
Cuenca is a province of Castilla-La Mancha, an autonomous community distinct and very different from Catalonia.
We manchegos are so poor there is no point in even seeking indepence, we are totally dependant of the central government, and also share much of our culture with the rest of Castile. We are part of the most homogeneous regions of Spain, 'nación única' or 'identidad propia' are causes oblivious to much of our population.
I've always thought of it as having two distinct meanings for me.
1: World building by giving some clues to the apocalypse's effects. The fact that the only forms of long distance communication are land-line and letter service led some anons to conclude that there was something wrong with the earths atmosphere that made radio communication impossible in their world. Even tanks that had some form of radio communication in their real-life counterparts use trumpets for comms instead. Even though it's established that land-line phones are present and work in the Woto's world there's a couple of cultural hints dropped, notably Kanata having no idea how to answer a phone.
2: Foreshadowing Rio's identity as an illegitimate descendant and her politcal role. When she finally gets that call at the end, I think it's our first time seeing her directly linked to the bigger picture.
H-here I go!
(these are the revised version I believe)
I hate how they literally did nothing with the ghost
Yeah yeah, I know it was supposed to be a metaphor for how different cultures view the same things in completely different ways, but still, I was waiting the entire fucking series for the ghost to come back and it never did.
I just figured their world was kinda similar to Metro 2033. Ghosts being a definite, actual thing and all.
Well, generalizing a little I'll consider ourselves as a brutish but somewhat noble bunch of people. Except for much bigger touristic places like Barcelona and some Andalusian beaches where pickpocketers run amok, on less visited places things are positively calm.
The general population has resignated to the impoverishing situation so much after the economy tanked that, at most, tranquil beggars sitting silently on the streets is the most violent situation you may encounter.
There's an older version of these images floating around with a bit more info in them, but much more speculative in nature. They are from when the show was airing, while the one's I dumped were revised versions after the conclusion (if I'm not mistaken).
man the amount of effort that went into this show and the amount of research they put into European history/culture is astounding. Why cant they make more anime like this?
>tranquil beggars sitting silently on the streets is the most violent situation you may encounter.
That's not so bad then. My city is the same and I'm in one of the supposedly better off EU countries. In fact, it's probably more dangerous here.
>Filicia: Okay Noëlle-chan, I know you’ve been working very hard/all night and you’re sleepy but you have oil on your cheek. Let’s get washed up shall we? Now lift your arms (banzai)!
>Filicia: Okay, let’s undress.
>Noëlle: … undressing…
>Rio: Seriously, you’re indulgent as always. Take it all right off yourself, right away. Here!
>Filicia: Oh, Rio you’re too quick/rough.
>Rio: We’re all girls here, so why should we get all embarrassed about it?
>Filicia: Hee hee.
Jesus Christ, who wrote this? Fanfiction.net?
>mfw I realized, thx to the Drama CD's, that if the show was 24 episodes, or had a second season, we would get episodes throughout the show where each of the "fortress maidens" describes special/strange event that took place, and write/record it down in form of a letter for the future maidens (like Kureha did in >>138673399).
I still hope against hope that that S2 will happens in some way or another. Alternatively if I ever get sufficiently rich I will fund the fucking think at loss, even if it bankrupts me.
>we would get episodes throughout the show where each of the "fortress maidens" describes special/strange event that took place, and write/record it down in form of a letter for the future maidens (like Kureha did in >>138673399).
Fuck. That sounds like the perfect format now that I think about it.
I've been eyeing this sexy beast for a while now, anyone familliar with buying cosplay crap off ebay? It looks alright, but I don't wanna get ripped off.
Think I could wear it around casually? I like wearing military jackets and stuff, or will I look like a total fag?
Looks cool, but definitely costume material instead of everyday wear like >>138680922
said. Also, the boots are like a decorative overgarment if I'm seeing things right. You'd have to buy your own Jackboots.
I wonder if anyone does modern reproductions of WWII Wehrmacht uniforms in Olive Drab.
Might still be better to look for repros. I don't think the costume version would stand up to much repeated use.
I just googled these and they might be a more realistic option within the same price range. I'm sure a tailor could fancy up the collar and cuffs for you too.
I noticed that one after the I posted the links. It's probably the closest thing they have. You could even look into dying it to get closer to that OD Green.
Does anybody know if their summer uniforms are based off a real one?
Neat site, wish I could find something like that in Canada.
0.8 has been released
Topic for #okayqc is: Okaysubs QC channel | Currently So Ra No Wo To: Quintet of Maidens English TL patch QC | Note errors on https://public.etherpad-mozilla.org/p/SnW_editing | Latest version 0.8, get it from https://ocv.me/snw/qc/
Damn it's true, I didn't even remember that.
So what are they, some kind of alien species, sewer monsters, artificial creatures?
Looks like a modification of the Luftwaffe's tropical uniform.
That's not bad. Definitely cosplay only though. Might want to inquire about the material though, like if it was made from a real military jacket material or just sewn out of cheap cloth to look like one.
Never really said, but I was under the impression that they were some biowarfare creatures. Fits better with the themes I think if it was something humans created and did to ourselves.
But I do wear military clothing often, just remember to never use more than one piece at a time.
Looks great, but don't forget that the 1121st wear their Platoon Patch on their left shoulder.
Yeah, I know that, I just sewed the velcro on the right sleeve before I even thought about putting it there, my Flecktarn does have it on the left shoulder, I think it's an european thing to have squad patches on left arm.
It's not a huge deal. I wear mine on my Condor jacket
cause I'm too cheap for an Arcteryx one.Which country's Combat Jacket/Tunic is that? That Faded OD looks fantastic.
>I wasn't the only person who bought the Holo patch
Brazilian Army Pale Green, circa 50-70s.
That was the closest to the german-ish uniforms of Helvetia I had back when I took those pictures and DMC Patches arrived.
Jesus, the least they could do is credit me with the damn translation. I spent hours on them and had to go to the Russian fans of Sora No Woto to get a link to download the drama cd.
I thought it was because it was a 3 series project of the studios new staff and that while they were working on Sora no Woto they were also working on Night Raid 1931 and Occult Academy
No, they're not up to that episode yet.
Nice to see that the thread is still up. Keep the woto love alive and well!
This is one of those comfy series I haven't gotten around to watching until recently but I'm up to episode 4 and really loving it so far. I don't want to rush through it but it's been so long since I've enjoyed something so much. It feels like I've seen all the best comfy anime.
It's never too late for a woto thread, there's still a long way until the bump limit.
Last month I was wandering for the narrow streets of Girona listening SnW OST, it was dark and I was alone.
And then I heard an awfully played trumpet. It was only 2 o 3 seconds, but I cried.
Maybe some kid blowing it for fun or who knows.
I'm just annoyed that I missed patch-bro's run of them by a couple of week. I can't wait for him to get his act together and do a rerun so I can buy more than I'll ever need. His YN patches are pretty good.
I made an SVG of that, here it is if anybody wants it.
It's yellowish because I made it to be used on webm related.
You can go to their IRC and get the link yourself, when it's from an IRC community of sub translators (and it's on the SNW wiki) it's legit. Keep in mind you need to get the actual game as well, this is just a translation patcher.
>Time Heralding Bastion
>Time Trumpeting Fort
What was their base called?
When you have to decide whether a post is a false flag, you've already passed the point where you have to realize that you're dealing with pure strawman arguments or at best arguments of fault by very loose association.
It's clearly the same lifeless fucksters trolling for political ammo. Do you really suppose an honest to goodness autist from /pol/ would go to the trouble of hiding the names of reddit posters when he compiled these macros? Of course not.
This is no different from /pol/ coming here and posting a thread pretending to be a fujo.
