I started with Tsukihime and kept on with others from Nasu because I am a chuunifag.
They are probably not for a beginner, but learning means: Your level+1.

Also do not get discouraged, go slow. Enjoyment will come and it's normal to get tired of reading after some time.
Reading all day is not the best way, focus on acquiring the grammar, by this I mean understanding it without having to translate it.
This is the best advice I can give you about making it easier.
