Nanatsu no Taizai 166 on gook scans
>Another two panel reaction
I am pleased
I swear to God, there's been a raid or something, because these last few days have been bad (more so than usual). It happened in
/x/too with a guy saying nigger.
To all of those recommending Kongoh Banchou in NnT threads, I fucking
love you. There were a lot of small stuff that returned in NnT. There was a one panel ad in the background with a proto-Hawk, and the blonde twin wore the Boar Hat waitress uniform at one point. The moustach of the butler guy is Escanor's moustache. And of course, the Kongous are basically giants.
Remember last time he revealed the true form of Chastiefol? It literal tears him apart when he uses it. He gets stronger when he manages to control it better.
Also golems are the worst kind of enemy he has to face.
>true second form is literally a gate of babylon
> I was just pretending to be surprised!
God damnit Cell.
I have a feeling the festival won't conclude with Gloxi'd death, and King will have to go back to the forest and ask Gerharde a few questions. Then Fairy King duel in the forest, where the tree can choose the real king.
>Gideon destroyed the town's altar to Baal
>He is often described as a giant with a large eye in his forehead that wreaks destruction when opened. He has been interpreted as a god or personification of drought and blight.
>Lugh eventually becomes king of the Tuatha Dé Danann. Ogma disarms Balor during this battle, but Balor kills Nuada (previous king with a missing limb) with his eye. Lugh kills Balor by casting a sling, or a spear crafted by Gobniu, through his eye.
Diane will destroy the arena using Gideon, then Dolor kills Matrona, then Diane will wield True Chastifol and throw it into Dolor's eye.
Someone at MH noted that the flower Gloxinia means "love at first sight", though I'm not sure if that's from the hanakotoba or western flower language meaning.
Considering how much of a romancefag Nakaba is, they might have been a couple before.
Gloxinias aren't found in Japan, so Nakaba would have to use western flower language for it by default. Apparently western flower language is more popular there now anyway, because there are so many more flowers in the west.
A bit disappointed with how the fights turned out so far. I was expecting some delicious combo attacks, not two 1v1 back to back.
Well, this is only the first non-curbstomp fight so far though, so I'm still looking forward to the next fights.
I had assumed Dolor/Balor would be gutted by Chastiefol, but I never thought that Diane would be the one to do it.
Next few rounds should be much better.
Elizabeth and Fairy Loli couldn't do much in there match.
Van and Meliodas was just a joke battle.
And like you said, This has been the first serious battle.
We've yet to even see our "mysterious but strong contender".
how many more serious rounds can there be?
at some point very soon there will have to be pairs of "good" teams facing each other.
there simply aren't enough bad/unknown teams left.
Previus tournament had good vs good too. If defeat doesn't mean death, there could easily be a few. If defeat means death, we have the demon-knight team and the monk-assassin team, that's two rounds before it gets interrupted.
it's conceivable that incapacitated losers (e.g., assassins) will be allowed to live, but it would feel wholly contrived given that Gloxinia purged tens if not hundred in the maze for being too slow, killed Escanor for being late/annoying, and only healed/resurrected him as a show of power.
I'm placing very high odds on a tournament interruption, if only so this sub-arc doesn't last 30 chapters.
is there an appropriate counterpart of pic related for the king/diane situation?
He didn't really had a chance to use it yet though. Either he fights something that doesn't bleed, not living, or can't even scratch it, and switches to True Chastieol instead, pulverising in one strike.
Don't forget that the original purpose of the tournament was to gather strong souls. It's entirely possible, that defeated/exhausted fighters are kept locked away alive for later consumption.
>did she actually love him when she was a kid
>Well she did say she wanted to marry him
In the TL of the 73.5 sidestory (King backstory of plentiful suffering) I read, she never quite says that (or that she actually loves him), but she makes him promise that he will always love her.
Speaking of Oh and Ara.
Oh, then what was an asspul in this? True Chastiefol was showed about fifty chapters before. And it's not something without drawbacks. Or is asspullposting the new powerlevelposting?
>captcha service didn't work for ten minutes
What the hell man
So "true spirit spear" is confirmed to be 1st form's upgrade?
We've seen half of the 20-ish total forms at this point:
> 0: pillow
> 1: spear (+)
> 2: guardian (+)
> 3: fossilization
> 4: sunflower
> 5: increase (+)
> 6: ???
> 7: luminosity
> 8: pollen garden
> 9: ???
> 10: ???
It would be neat it he got Vasquez too, but I'm guessing that it will either be lost or given to Elaine if she doesn't go back to being dead.
> Second Form, [Increase]!
Is it safe to assume this is yet another NiggerStream mistake?
yeah, but given that he was trying to cut vines while missing Diane and to hit a fairy-sized golem, he couldn't exactly spam the spears for the attack.
I say the jury's still possibly out on the count of spears he can duplicate with this form.
Given that the gook version appears to have the same naming, this may actually be a mistake that goes all the way back to Nakaba.
I think you misremember the magnitude of mother catastrophe.
Here's the page from the tankobon. Diane can be seen standing on top of the floating rock.
And here's when she brought the hammer down.
Interestingly enough, Diane standing on top is an addition for the tankobon. The magazine scan for RHS's chapter apparently didn't have her yet.
Most likely a case of overfiltered scans, which tend to lose details, though low quality magazine scans may factor in as well, since the paper quality of weekly magazines is slightly above toilet paper.
Here's one of the more horrendous examples. Scanlated magazine page.
And the raw pages from the tankobon. Though, usually it's not as drastic a difference as here. Still, when you hold the actual NnT tankobon in your hands, you'll notice that the linework is a lot finer than what we usually get from the online scans.
I know. That's what I wrote in >>138639655. Still, filter usage usually eats up details as well. Thickens lines for contrast, that sort of thing, unless the editor has good scans AND goes out of his way to make things look akin to the original.
what we really need is to find an /a/non with a pet gerbil willing to let it have a go at pic related
There's a lot of fixes, some smaller, some bigger.
Like when Diane got a hole in her chest, there was actually a mistake between the two chapters. Or that one chapter Nakaba did whie he was sick, that looked pretty unfinished. (It's the chapter Gwother was revealed to be a doll) That was all fixed.
Too bad you won't get any of these fixes with the English volumes, because they just directly take the Crunchy translations/scans. It's fucking awful.
the only thing that happens is that he chokes and stays silent whenever somebody asks about his wings.
it may just be that he and Elaine had a fairy slut mom and a random horny human dad.
>just drop dead when the time comes?
King's near the end of a normal fairy's life span, but I think there was another Q&A where Nakaba said fairy kings live longer than anything else.
Gerharde is old as dirt and still a loli, though.
Intresting, because King is about 1300, and yes he can live longer than any fairy, but the war was 3000 year ago. That would mean Gerharde, a normal fairy is more than 3000 years old. I a normal fairy can live that long, the second Fairy King, Dahlia, should be still relatively young. Either something happened to Dalia and she had to step down, or Gerharde is not a normal fairy.
Who /confession/ to make here?
I mostly read this for the OTP pairings now desu, love the fights though.
It was a lot of material crammed into not enough episodes. Dem OP/EDs, though.
>The child the lady now carries in her womb is Merlin’s half-brother, we are told. But he is a fiendish child. As a baby, he sends numerous wet-nurses to their graves and tears off his mother’s nipple... He rapes with relish and then burns a convent of nuns to death.
Our Gowther is not hardcore enough.
>in a sudden change of heart, Sir Gowther resolves to travel to Rome to receive absolution for his sins from the Pope... Sir Gowther receives an audience with the Pope and is given the penance that he may not speak and that whatever he swallows must first have been in the mouth of a dog.
>he is soon adopted by the court as Hob their fool and eats beneath the tables with the dogs in the evening... The Emperor of Germany has a daughter who is mute, but this does not stop a sultan coming to claim her hand in marriage... he sallies out with the emperor’s army and fights invincibly, first as a black knight, then as a red knight and finally, on the third day, as a white knight.
Black knight = TC, red knight = Sin, White Knight will be Gowther's upgrade.
>she awakens from her bier and tells the assembled gathering that God has forgiven Sir Gowther all his sins.
He will get the girl.
I'm expecting some of this to make its way to his eventual Gaiden.
But I'm not sure if Gowther needs an upgrade. He's stupidly broken as is, in the sense that he doesn't really need big numbers to win (Not that that's a strict necessity anyways, but you know what I'm getting at), but he was one of the Commandments (Or so Fraudrin claims), which already makes him somewhere in the same ballpark if he gets his Commandemnt powers back.
I already want the next chapter to come.
