Would the Holy Quintet been able to defeat Walpurgisnacht if they were all alive for the fight?
>madoka sacrifice is required
Except thats wrong. Every time Madoka dies to Walpurgisnacht it is because she either had to take her on alone, or ran out of magic. With 5 girls fighting over the maximum of 2 that we saw on screen, she would only need to use a fraction of what she does when she fights alongside Homura
>implying Walpurgisnacht can be defeated
Do you not get why Madoka had to wish to remove witches from existence and fix this godless universe
No, because Homura, Mami, and Madoka are really the only one's who can fight it due to the whole flyinh thing. Mami was more or lress killed outright the first time. It's familiars would have been way too strong for Sayaka, assuming she lived through the NTR, and Kyoko would have been functionally useless.
The fact of the matter is Madoka is the only one who can defeat Wally, but oly at the expense of her own. Homura dropped a fucking arsenal and it didn't do much but piss Wally off.
Reminder that the series ended with homura fighting wraiths with big demon wings and the movie had nothing to do with that.
I think the next movie is going to do the same thing. Use Homura as only the setup for the ACTUAL plot of the new film
That's because it was all a dream. Or are you implying they'll simply recycle Rebellion's plot but focus on one of the other girls having a dream?
Not a chance. Besides the fact that the concept trailer seems to suggest that Homura is still mad in the head.
I remember reading Walpurgisnacht is all the Magical girls throughout history which makes sense when you look up what Walpurgisnacht actually is. If this the case then all five of them would have no chance at beating it even if they were working together. I forgot the name of it but there was actually a AMV that won some awards showing one of Homuras timelines in which she has the help of all the girls besides Madoka and they all still die and Madoka makes a contract and Homura goes back once again.
Simply cruel. And then they just decide to give her a shitty loli that wants to eat her as a companion. Being Mami is suffering.
Correct answer. It is both stated and shown that two is enough to beat it, just not without taking losses.
All five together should therefore be able to beat it without losing anyone, if it was possible to keep them all alive until the fight.
>tfw this should have been easy with foreknowledge and timestopping powers
Yea I just checked (Urobuchi said Walpergisnaght combines with other witches the same way that tornadoes are able to combine and become stronger)
Of course they could defeat it. homu and madoka were able to win against it in a duo.
They would just all die afterwards and become witches, creating a new amalgamation witch, maybe under candeloro's ensnaring lead.
Walpurgis is dead, long live walpurgis.
>It has the destructive power to bring about natural disasters powerful enough to blow away an entire town, but originally it was a single witch. It's a witch that has grown from the combination of countless other witches. Walpurgisnacht combines with other witches in the same way two powerful tornadoes are able to combine and become larger. It's essentially a "conglomeration"-type witch. Because it's so powerful, it rarely shows itself.
It's not all of them throughout history, just an unspecified number.
I think we can all agree a wish that would have helped all magical girls tremendously that any girl with average karmic destiny could make would be to wish that all Incubators had feelings.
Kyouko says so, but that isn't really important.
We see in episode 10 that Mami and Madoka defeat waluiginight with just the two of them, they just don't survive the fight either.
There is really no way that goes well. Either it applies retroactively and >>138619504
happens, or it applies starting *now* and incubator society goes to complete shit as their entire species is driven mad with emotions they don't know how to live with.
Ahh yes, the "waluiginight" the bane of all Magical girls.
A: Kyubey outright states that emotion is considered a form of madness to his people.
B: At the tale end of rebellion, we see a very bedraggled Kyubey with a 1000 yard stare, the implication being that Akumura has forcethe grief of the world onto him. He doesn't seem to be taking it well.
C: While its possible they could adapt to emotions given enough time, I doubt they would last that long. Take a universe traversing hivemind race with reality warping levels of technology. Now give them all their own personal set of desires and emotions and see how long their society, much less earth, stays intact.
I think kyubey said they considered it a mental illness and that's probably just because they didn't understand it.
The grief of the world is far more to handle than a simple set of emotions though isn't it?
Don't they already have desires? Isn't keeping the universe around a desire. There must be some sort of reason or reasons why they want to keep it around right?
One of the key aspects of cosmic horror is that the true nature of the universe's mysteries should remain as secret as possible. Granted, Madoka only dips a bit into the cosmic horror genre, but I still think that the incubators are more interesting as an enigma.
Probably answered, but I am too lazy to read at the moment. Most likely as Homura is the only fighter but Madoka contracts and defeats Wamalama. All their combined power might be sufficient enough to stop the witch.
Is this official art?
I didn't remeber the pantsu or slight Kyouko crack showing.
You have to remember, those connected to Homura can move during the time-stop. That's pretty much an auto I-win button if she holds onto someone with more magical powers than her and have them just shoot everything they have for her entire duration. Just replace Homura's attack with another magical girl's equivalent, and not even Walpurgisnacht can survive such a ludicrous amount of magical firepower.
At least Mami has everyone now.
And then she became a pedophile
with a dick.
That was quite interesting part since "wanting to survive longer" was the only value, or should I say, the instinct we humanity can share with space fries-eating rats.
While exploiting sentient races in universe, at least, they are not as bad as moons in Dead Space.
She is small.
I believe it's a little bit exaggerated in that pic.
It wouldn't surprise me if Homura made those boxes of cheese rain down from the sky in order to make the MamiNagi meeting possible.
I always wondered. Why those dozen of boxes of cheese flying all over Nagisa's head that made Mami to try to protect Nagi from them.
Is it Clara dolls and Homuhomu's shenanigans?
A same thing goes for Kyousaya rocky scene.
It's Homucifer's ability to manipulate everything as she pleases.
>Madoka all of a sudden lived in America so she has a more open mind on homosexual relationships
>Kyouko at the same school as the other girls, probably so she can distract Sayaka
>Sayaka and Madoka aren't friends and Homura will likely do anything in her might to prevent those two from becoming friends
>Mami and Nagisa fateful meeting
However she can't prevent Kyouko and Mami form being able to see her familiars. Or Sayaka and Madoka from losing their memories entirely.
>Madoka all of a sudden lived in America so she has a more open mind on homosexual relationships
walpurgisnacht Translates to night of Walpurgis it's a certain night of the year April 30th and it's basically the night of all Witches.
Crap I can't find a pic from doujin that Sayaka calling Homu a "dyke" and Mado corrects Saya for using such discriminative word.
Well I think I originally overestimated its power. Either it did come every year but everyone saw it as a storm or natural disaster or it just came that year in the anime for some reason. I can't remember it ever saying?
I'm sory Apple I didn't realize I was talking to you. I'm pretty sure I was following up my answer from a question I received with some lure about the walpurgisnacht.
Funnily enough I do see Madoka as the type who would browse Tumblr.
What kind of websites would the other girls browse? What 4chan boards?
Sayaka is definitely a tumblrwhale too.
Kyouko would browse either /sp/ /ck/ or /pol/
Mami would browse /ck/
Homura /k/ or /u/ just to find pics of herself and Madoka.
I thought Nagi's only 3-4 years younger than Mami. Anyway, That difference in height really emphasizes their mother daughter figures.
“Monet’s Monet collection” from Marmottan Monet Museum was fantastic! PMMMMM!
Actually they won in Madoka Magica Portable.
Though I hate video games
/a/ was already mistake.
Btw, do you guys still want
Wraith Arc 5? Few people posted in the thread of Wraith Arc 4. I was disappointed in you guys, especially tripfriends.
Then in what timeline/universe did Madoka live in America?
>Madohomu was actually anon X tumblina
Good night, !GMeguca.
Madoka will either become a bodhisattva or the great witch that will destroy the planet. The attack by Walpurgis cannot end in any other way.
Even in timelines where Walpurgis was defeated, Madoka despaired from the death and destruction that the battle alone had caused and still turned witch.
a goal to survive is just that, a goal. once you bootstraped that into your conscious value-system as a society/hivemind you may not need to retain it as emotion. You simply treat it as axiom of your reasoning.
Think of humans programming a dangerous industrial robot to stop its operations once it detects its actions might endanger nearby humans. The robot does not have emotions, yet it executes the goal of not harming humans perfectly fine.
Similarly proto-incubators may have had a basal instinct ensuring their own survival, but they could have gotten rid of it as their species developed and replaced it with some sort of law which they consider in their reasoning.
That's even assuming incubators developed naturally and weren't created by some other, possibly long-extinct, species in the first place.
>duplicate file exits
Is that confirmed? I didn't know that.
If they had emotions wouldn't they feel bad for us sitting cold and alone in the caves and help us out?
That makes me wonder, are mami's and kyouko's families alive now?
