Carta is love
She was too pure for that world
Tekkadan gets it's reckoning next week judging form the preview pictures.
To suit his context necessary to create righteous obstacles for Tekkadan and Kudelia.
He's objectively sponsoring and backing Tekkadan from behind the scenes to deliver Gjallarhorn a political blow to reform it from the inside out.
To do this he's using his two childhood friends as fuel for the fire.
>Good news, Ein! I made you a girlfriend!
Mika is manipulating Orga isn't he. It feels too much like something Mika would say
>He also told me to tell you to give his food rations to me in case something happens to him.
Carta did nothing wrong. She was too cute and noble.
She even challenged them to a duel 3v3, not to the death either, so no one else would have to die. If she won they'd give Kudelia and Makanai and fuck off back to Teiwaz, if they won they'd be allowed to pass and she'd stop chasing them.
>Mika convinces Orga to be bloodthirsty when Orga starts doubting in this episode
>Which in turn causes Orga to instill it in the rest of Tekkadan
>Mika got surprised by Carta calling out for McGillis.
Watch him have an epiphany in the last episode while watching Tekkadan from afar.
"Wow these guys are nuts, the enemies are people too and have loved ones who will want revenge. I'll never find that place like this, I'm out". It will be like Sousuke Sagara and the rugby club in fumoffu.
Would've been the best thing to come out of this series.
Triggered the grammar out of you?
It was a battle situation and he was the enemy commander actively giving orders, which is how she spotted him in the first place. There was nothing dishonorable about it.
A duel is an entirely different situation and she went out of her mech as a sign of good faith towards the negotiation she was attempting.
That MW is an armed weapon and could easily kill a person, also what she did was the correct choice attacking the enemy commander retarded enough to put itself in the open, you could said it was honor lest of Ein to attack the reporters shuffle back in the colony, but for Carta to attack the enemy commander in and armed vehicle is nothing out of question
Were they aiming from the beginning to make Tekkadan awkward to sympathize with?
It's not just Carta. I felt more even for Carta's subordinates than I can say I do for most of Tekkadan.
Was this their intention? For the Outer Earth Orbit Regulatory Joint Fleet to be more easily to sympathize with than Tekkadan itself?
>People think this won't end with Mika killing Orga and Kudelia because they "got in Tekkadan's way"
I liked Biscuit. I admit that it's kind of ironic that it was Carta and her fleet who in particular who did him in. And I do miss Biscuit.
But aside from Biscuit I find it really hard to feel for anyone of Tekkadan. Maybe Eugene but he isn't even part of the group anymore.
Main char being an opportunist and killing enemies while they are still busy preparing gets my dick hard as a rock.
It sure as hell beats the overdone "lead character questioning moral values mid battle".
Nah, he'll be fine. Ein on the other hand is beyond fucked.
They're child soldiers fighting a war for survival because they've never had any other option.
Of course they aren't going to play nice. Their actions shouldn't be making you feel bad when you consider things in context. When you realize Carta is just a clueless spoiled brat that literally can't understand why people wouldn't want to follow her rules, it's easy to not feel bad about her getting her shit slapped. She walked into a battle for survival and treated it like a game.
If you should feel bad for anyone, feel bad for Cartha's subordinates, that were forced to follow her ignorant, naive ass into battle and die pointlessly because she doesn't understand the difference between child's play and a war.
And she already knew they wouldn't bother humoring her childish pride. Her death was entirely the fault of her own stupidity.
They could have made her suffering last longer.
Carta haters confirmed for scum
>They're child soldiers fighting a war for survival because they've never had any other option.
They had plenty of options after joining Teiwaz
I kinda like this despite people thinking this is crap, so I wondered were I could start watching gundam.
I watched G-gundam, and both season of build fighters, I also watched wing, but that was over 10 years ago when I was 9-8.
Are there other AU series that are good or should I start with the first and go with release order?
Wait the episode is called
>THE FINAL LIE
What was the lie? Pretending to be McGilis part at the end, Mika lying about what Biscuit said or McGillis lying to Carta so she would go in and suicide?
>If you should feel bad for anyone, feel bad for Cartha's subordinates, that were forced to follow her ignorant, naive ass into battle and die pointlessly because she doesn't understand the difference between child's play and a war.
They were exactly the same way in case you missed the navy guy complaining about them not going by the textbook. Earthsphere has had 300 years of peace. Mars sphere is like the middle east with constant fighting, pirates, slavery, mafia, etc..
Not even a waifufag, she was just one of the greatest female villains out there in anime and they just had to do this terrible thing to her, fuck everything.
Press F to pay respects.
>she was just one of the greatest female villains out there in anime
I figured her old man isn't in good health so he's not long for this world. Take her out and that's the most powerful family in the organization wiped out leaving his family in prime position to fill the power vacume
>>They were exactly the same way in case you missed the navy guy complaining about them not going by the textbook. Earthsphere has had 300 years of peace. Mars sphere is like the middle east with constant fighting, pirates, slavery, mafia, etc..
Actually Tekkedan should know less about mobile suit combat than Gjallarhorn as they couldn't afford them on mars and the only one they had was used as a reactor.
They're child soldiers fighting to overturn the order to usher chaos, in the hope of the possibility to create a in their eyes more righteous peace, that may or may not hold up even if they succeed. They are terrorists bringing literal war. And it's not just Kudelia. They're also harbouring Makanai who has been banished. Another individual that poses a danger to order and peace.
The basic argument is that the peace has to be broken for the lower classes to have a chance of improving their situation. But true or not there is no saying if Kudelia will even succeed and if they get their revolution innocent people will die no matter if they succeed or not. Kudelia may want to become hope but at the same time she is the cataclysm of chaos in story.
Carta and the regulatory joint fleet were charged with the purpose of protecting Earth's perimeter from invaders. Protecting the order. And here comes Tekkadan, literal terrorists bringing chaos of war. Good intentions or not they're trouble. Not even just for the upper classes, but the chaos they bring will surely pose a problem to many of the lower classes as well. It is chaos after all.
It could be said that they are in the way of change and that change needs to be had. How change is brought forth however is up to debate. What can really be said by the end of the day however is that Carta and the regulatory joint fleet were on the side of order, fighting to stop chaos, and to save lives. While Tekkadan are on a mission to overturn the order sparking chaos with their revolution. Just accepting casualties as collateral damage that can't be avoided.
There are arguments for and against both parties. But one side was fighting to protect while the other was fully aware of and accepting of there being casualties.
>she was just one of the greatest female villains out there in anime
Not even the best of the season.
Carta did nothing wrong.
Alaya Vaj = instant pro pilot
Add that to their extensive combat training with it in mobile workers and they're far more experienced. Mika wrecked them on the first day piloting with a faulty mech.
I get her being out of the mobile suit to issue the challenge, kinda retarded but whatever it's her thing, but why would you do that and make your subordinates do it with you
she deserved the beatdown that befell her and her men
The lie according to Okada was Gaelio pretending to be McGillis for Carta's sake whilst she died.
Specifically the AV system turns whatever you're driving with it into a neural-link prosthetic as much as Mechanic-san's legs are. Literally a part of you you move like your own body. They pent no small fucking amount of time explaining this (and everything else, to the point nothing else fucking happens but exposition) in the first half.
You'd think a regular military would have better training than a poorly managed pmc.
Also the argument was regarding tactics which Tekkedan shouldn't know much about.
Crank had probably spent more time in a mobile suit than those shits had been alive.
Why must the universe punish the good? McGillis is a shit
At the same time though
>with no snipers watching
>not even a band of MWs
>expecting them to accept while eliminating exactly zero alternatives
He knows Tekkadan can beat fox retard with ease. If he didnt convinced his "father" to send her again oldfart would someone actually capable.
Same with Ein. There is probably some killswitch of remote override if thing go south. And if he didn't do that Gari Gari would thought of another plan McGills would have no control of.
>You'd think a regular military would have better training than a poorly managed pmc.
>fight exactly zero battles for 300 years
>expecting anyone to know how to fight at all
It's literally all theory and wargames. They might as well have been playing AirLand Battle to train their commanders. Meanwhile CGS had been doing actual fighting of some sort.
I really hope Gaelio gives McGillis some serious shit after this.
While Ein technically may have wanted to become the gundam monster, Gaelio's opinion of McGillis must have surely dropped like a bomb after what pushing for making Ein into a machine and for sending Carta to her death.
I'm pretty sure they're supposed to be sympathetic and the writers messed up. Even now they're probably supposed to be sympathetic characters going down a questionable path, it's just not really coming across for everyone because they fucked up the development leading up to it.
Killing Carta is one thing. But that double 180 they did was just unnecessary. Don't toy with me like that.
After I had finally accepted her death, don't drag up my hopes from their grave with Gali-Gali's valiant rescue, only promptly have her die anyway.
Imagine being Carta now, someone who cares about honor, herself, and the guys under her command. Why would you doubt them to accept your offer, a duel that reduce a lot the risk of a bloodshed? it makes no sense that they would not accept a deal like that, the other option was running away from this duel and fight an endless war against a stronger force with no chance of winning.
Please god don't let us have some sort of "women are good men are fucked up" thing going on.
Biscuit would feel disgusted by this.
He may have accepted and rationalized the outcome. But he would still feel disgusted by it.
It's as if everyone of Tekkadan with a functional conscience able to chastise the rest of the group have died, with the rest of Tekkadan all being trash.
>It's literally all theory and wargames. They might as well have been playing AirLand Battle to train their commanders. Meanwhile CGS had been doing actual fighting of some sort.
theory and wargames that are closer to what the battles have been like.
Also they were fighting in the first episode. They have had some activity.
Most of the Tekkedan's equipment is new to them and none of their experience would be remotely similar to what has gone on after they left mars.
No, the conscience is still there, Tekkadan decided to not listen.
Of course she was doing it for her own pride (and for Mcgillis), I'm just trying to explain why she didn't doubt they were going to accept her offer.
>theory and wargames that are closer to what the battles have been like.
Yeah, and Tekkadan have shat on them as a result.
>lol this bombardment
>why are they standing in a row
>why the fuck are they firing so much don't they know how much ammo costs
>expecting something from waifufags in Gundam
Because she thinks those guys she is asking for a duel might have the same privileges and etiquette she was raised with.
>Please god don't let us have some sort of "women are good men are fucked up" going on.
>not expecting this from Okada
What >>138593795 said.
Tekkadan never wanted to "change the world".
They just wanted to make it big and they could have made it by just working normally after joining Teiwaz.
But no. They continue going on, making illogical decisions and when they bite them in the ass they shift the blame.
You can argue that real people do this too yet it appears there's not a single individual capable of introspect in their crew.
Fool me once shame on you.
Fool me twice shame on me.
That's the (hamfisted) point.
Biscuit was Tekkadan's cool head and their conscience. He's gone now, so they're going to run wild.
Question is, will they find their moral center or will they just destroy?
It's because Biscuit had a family. He couldn't allow himself to become a monster if he were to ever hope to live with them.
Destroy, until Eins comes in and tears them a new one. My bet is on that drill chick from Naze's group biting it along with several children. Then Naze finally comes in and smacks some sense into Orga, I don't see Merribit doing it.
Like they'd give a shit about overall society when it was their environment on Mars that created them. Really they're just doing the role that was was given to them, and that's operate as mercenaries. They have a cause as well, but every political fucker that wants their way sends the cavalry in.
Their crew shouldn't give a fuck about others, they just want to get from point A to B and others won't let them.
Which is going to be a complete asspull because they need a challenge. They've been living with AV systems pretty much their entire lives and now Ein is suddenly up to par with them just because he got it.
>Merrybit is useless now
>Kudelia stopped whinging this ep and progressed plot last one
>tekkadan are literally mercenaries fighting for a fascist revolution started by a social elite and backed by financial power
>they are totally the good guys we swear
Mika doesn't seem like the machvelli type. His Gundams name is Barbaros and he threw away the katana for a freaking club for godsakes.
He's literally a brute. The only reason he's MC is 'muh place to belong' and he trusts orga to figure that shit out.
>suddenly up to par with them just because he got it.
Yes that's how AV works. What part of 'the mobile suit is the user's body' don't you get? Walking in a mobile suit with AV installed is like walking with your own legs.
I don't know what to believe after fumitans death and 'princess of light and hope' got played straight.
I think the writer thought it was going to be a devil/angel thing, where Kudelia is the angel professing nice things and Mika is making it happen with pure violence.
Not him. But not really. Remember this?
>Tekkadan never wanted to "change the world".
>They just wanted to make it big
From an outside perspective however, they are working for Kudelia and promoting her goals. And those are her goals. With that in mind any outsider would think of Tekkadan as an extension of Kudelia and thereby claim that Tekkadan are trying to bring forth a revolution.
Granted that Tekkadan as individuals fighting for revenge doesn't exactly make them any more sympathetic.
You think that was satisfying? Wait until next episode when those damn orphans heads start flying
I meant like as in "treat them well, actually value them". I am not saying that the tekkadan are presented as female haters or anything, it's just that the only tekkadan character that cared about girls was Biscuit and he was killed.
But I admit I don't remember what is Mika's opinion about Kudelia.
Mika's fighting for a 'home'
Orga's fighting to make a 'home'
Biscuit was fighting to support his 'home'
I think its pretty obvious that the revenge part is mostly because they are butthurt that people die in war. If they got non-combat jobs they wouldn't have to worry about that shit. But no, violent corporate takeover and protecting a world-class political official as their first job was their choice.
She thought she knew how to deal with them because they were kids. In that scene she realized no one can help them.
I know that.
I'm not defending Tekkadan.
They were given plenty of chances to back down and they rejected them.
When things didnt go their way not once did the stop and think "Maybe we made a wrong decision".
>But I admit I don't remember what is Mika's opinion about Kudelia.
>"treat them well, actually value them"
most of the random orphan cast seemed to like fumitan and olga likes merrybit. Mika even liked the braclet atra gave him and saved her when she was young.
I don't know where you are going with this.
Apparently the Great Economic Bloc Empire of Edmonton Alberta had a bunch of political thugs drive out the most popular political candidate in a Gjallarhorn-backed coup so they could fix an election USSR-style. Putting that candidate back in the running so that democracy can happen as it should is the exact opposite of fascism.
Tekkadan are fighting for Democracy, Freedom, Labour Rights, the little guy(tm), and the interests of the Canadian voting public.
>mostly child soldiers
mostly mika being uncivilized
I thought it was a good metaphor for how the powerful are comfortable and weak while the poor take any chance they have to win.
Tekkadan is fighting for their pocketbook first and foremost sir, politics be damned. If there's a second reason its revenge(against the world that shamed them), if there's a third its honor.
Political ideology is dead last.
These hands have grown very dirty in time.
How old was Carta supposed to be anyway?
Can't be more than maybe 4-5 years compared to McGillis and Gaelio, who both seem to be in their mid to late 20s.
The chick looked like she was in her 40s already, damn it. Even as a kid she looked like a cake.
>Tekkadan ignoring Merribit
If you ever saw that film Dangerous Minds in the 90s about a white woman teacher who goes into the black schools and tries to 'reform' them its basically the same thing. She doesn't get their way of thinking, although she works for the fucking Mafia she's portrayed as a average good woman. She literally exists to be upset at them for killing people.
post on /m/ earlier today cited Okada posting some brief messages on Twitter shortly after the episode aired confirming both Carta being dead after Gaelio spoke to her one last time pretending to be McGillis and that the meaning of the episode's title was based on the scene to which she says is one of her favorite scenes from working on the show.
Tekkadan are fighting for the money and fame.
Kudelia is making them fight because hope or something, which means her having the power because she definitely knows how to run this shit and because she has to repay the ones who helped her and clearly she wouldn't be able to do so in a real democracy.
Don't believe the lies, the first thing that happens after Kudelia taking power is big powers eating the resources of the people.
>mfw I realize that we are up to 24 episodes and literally nothing has happened
>People honestly think that they are portraying Tekkadan's REVENGE! thing in a good light as the right thing to do.
Seriously, are people just getting confused because they played the theme song during it? They had thunder and lightning during the scene with Mika and Orga, the adults are freaked out over it, and even the black mechanic guy said that it's wrong.
It's wrong, but it's what Tekkadan needed to keep moving forward with the job. Their leader was crouched in a fetal position in his room, everyone was depressed, and Shino of all people was in command. SHINO! That's how bad things were.
The revenge thing is motivation to keep moving forward because as things stand they can't go back yet. They're on Gjallarhorns shit list and illegally in Earth territory with no ride ack into space. The whole scene with Mika and Orga in the last episode was to drive the point into Orga and remind him that he was the one who put them on this path that and that they literally can't stop now so he needs to take some damn responsibility and keep them moving.
It's wrong and fucked up but there's no other options left and that's the point.
>Tekkadan are fighting for Democracy, Freedom, Labour Rights
What a load of bullshit
Tekkadan is company
They are fighting for money
>It's wrong and fucked up but there's no other options left and that's the point.
I think you're right. That was why Mika said 'it doesn't matter you're still an enemy'. I wonder if the underlying meaning was that he decided to gain an overwhelming victory at that point to boost tekkadan's morale. He did say on the PV he's fighting to crush things for the tekkadan now.
So why didn't Atra watch Mikazuki slaughter Carta and her men?
The entire plot of this last arc has been trying to sneak into Edmonton because it somehow became the capital of a world superpower.
Mecha shows always seem to have a hardon for bumfuck nowhere cities in Canada.
Well, Alberta is literally the only reason Canada is even able to keep its lights on at this point because Canada's leadership is fucking retarded, and Edmonton is the capital of Alberta, so.
Maybe when Canada went belly up, Alberta seceded and formed a solvent country.
Bullshit. So much has happened it's silly.
Dozens of characters have died, businessmen have sponsored and secretly plotted to destroy Tekkadan, fucking space pirates came and went, Makanai has been revealed to be an old power hungry asshole and not the saviour in waiting he was pegged to be, Gjallarhorn is fucked and a total viper's den of power mongering snakes barring the few sympathetic figures.
I could go on for paragraphs on end.
It's the capital city of the largest oil-producing industry in Canada and one of the major sites of oil-sand business. It's a big deal to the Canadian economy, but Alberta's oil production is a drop in the water compared to the US, Russian, OPEC or literally any other major player in the market so it's not like that matters.
They probably just wanted a city that was real but irrelevant enough that nobody'd ever heard of it. Edmonton is the hipster's Chicago. Plus the population density in the prairies are so low that they can play around the whole "no magical drive systems in urban areas" thing without much issue.
Worth noting that most of the backgrounds from the past 2 episodes are tracings of famous canadian paintings. Maybe the director is an artfag and that influenced their decision.
Pretty much this. I love how they let these scenes drag on, too, as if this combined with those flashbacks, and McGillis's monologue would garner any sort of sympathy for her.
>fairness nonsense on the battlefield
Mikazuki did to her the same thing he did to Crank at the beginning of the series. While they brandished bullshit like pride, honor, and fairness Mikazuki shut both of them down with a good dose of the harsh realities of war. Merrybit's sudden reversal of attitude against fighting is really getting annoying now.
Tekkadan are the good guys though. They've literally done nothing wrong so far unless you count killing the people trying to kill you as "wrong". If Tekkadan wins people in mars get a chance for a better life and Earth gets democracy and true freedom. If Gjallarhorn wins everybody gets 300 more years of corrupt autocratic bureaucracy.
>While they brandished bullshit like pride, honor, and fairness Mikazuki shut both of them down with a good dose of the harsh realities of war.
They both tried to do an "Honorable" duel after a failed attack on Tekkadan with superior numbers as well.
>Merrybit's sudden reversal of attitude against fighting is really getting annoying now.
Seems to not be against fighting so much as the fact that they seem to be suicidal about it and dragging the young kids into it as well.
Not like the kids have any other future or choice though. They joined up with a mercenary group that was using kids as cannon fodder before the series even started and Mars is a shit hole without a crap job market.
Even in death I still serve.
Mars is already like Iraq. ISISdan is fighting for their freedom, their beliefs and for the formation of a Marsist State. Just be thankful they let women move in their company without full-body coverings.
Blind loyalty more like it.
>Coral was corrupt and out for money and power
>Orlis was an ass who ignored the mission objective to run around having fun shooting at Mobile Workers who literally can't hurt him.
>Crank was an okay guy but was too soft and deluded into thinking he could have a fair duel against a group of mercenaries his group had just attacked a short time ago.
Crank was an okay dude, but his other leaders were shit.
Clearly the best people for determining the future of Mars is a girl that didn't know people die during war and a bunch of murderous children. There's literally no way anything could possibly go wrong in Mars future with them at the helm.
I love how, in these last 23 episodes, literally the only thing Mika did at all that was relevant was kill people. His only purpose in all of this is to be a mentally unstable killer, barely capable of thinking on his own.
I'm really starting to think that he won't make it out of this shit alive and may possibly even end up being killed by one of his friends because his senseless, unreasonable behavior went overboard and he'd end up destroying all they were fighting for.
So what's Ein supposed to do when he isn't fighting? Does that thing have wi-fi or something?
Not unless there's also some kind of separate portable life support machine and I doubt they have those.
Maybe Okada's writing has some magic to it after all to get so many people so invested on the characters and politics of a fucking mecha anime. 3 threads in a single day get out of here with that shit
There is legitimately no other Gundam protagonist who deserves death harder than Mikazuki at this point.
The worst thing Kira ever did was frustrate people by disabling their MS denying them of fighting one another, never indiscriminately killing them.
Why does everyone think Mika was lying about what Biscuit said on the beach? I went back and rewatched both scenes.
They're both the same right up to the point in the first one where Biscuit says "I..." and then the scene cuts off and we don't see the rest.
When Mika is talking to Orga about it later we are shown the rest of the scene with "I won't quit".
Where are people getting the lying thing from? Mika doesn't seem creative enough for that.
>So what's Ein supposed to do when he isn't fighting? Does that thing have wi-fi or something?
He could easily just get a metal skeleton. Remember XCOM's Mek Troopers? Same shit.
You know overall this was a fun episode but holy shit anyone else facepalm hard when fucking Lafter OF ALL PEOPLE IN THIS SHOW was shocked and disgusted by Mika's actions? Is this not the woman who was literally excited to take out a ship full of fucking kids and who was licking her lips in her fight against Mika?
I can understand literally everyone else but fucking her.
>This one just happens to be abject trash with occasionally decent battles.
Dude if that's what you're going for greco did it a thousand times better and I dropped that shit. Seriously, the battle animation for IBO is fucking horrid, the inbewteens look like vomit, and the choreography is both stiff and limp at the same time. If you're watching gundam for the fights, you watch Unicorn and greco.
A colostomy bag and artificial heart go a long way. Dialysis backpack too maybe.
>Where are people getting the lying thing from? Mika doesn't seem creative enough for that.
I don't know where they are getting the lying from, but Mika isn't as stupid as others here would have you believe.
I said "not creative", no "smart/intelligent".
Mika is very direct about things. Just look at his fighting style. He chose a big mace and club he could just smash things with as he preferred weapon over ones that require technique.
So the current situation is that GHorn is corrupt, and Macky wants to restore its "values" (that he sees in Ein) by changing it from the inside. To do this, he will kill off his two friends as martyrs, which will also put his family into a higher position. He also wants to help Tekkadan, indirectly helping Mars get its independence.
Meanwhile, Ein wants to exact revenge on Tekkadan for killing his superior officer (who disobeyed the orders of his own corrupt superiors). That being said, Crank probably wouldn't want Ein to do this, and even go as far as to alienate himself even further from his comrades by becoming a fucking Mobile Suit. At the same time, Tekkadan has become blind with vengeance and wants to destroy anything in their way to complete their mission for the sake of Biscuit.
In the grand scheme of things, both Tekkadan and the McGillis trio are heroes fighting for justice, but it doesn't seem like there is a place for Tekkadan after this is over. I don't think Okada has the balls to kill them off unfortunately.
>she was a great friend
Oh,no!What kind of monster would do something like this!
I thought that she was disgusted at the hamburger meat that Mika was making and not the fight itself.
>which will also put his family into a higher position.
Actually based on the scene with his father, he needs those two alive to reach his higher position through connections. Them dying actually weakens his future.
Why? I can see how you would have wanted to drop it like 5-10 episodes ago, but now that everything is pointing to Mika going out of control the show has the potential to end up pretty great.
I hope he ends up killing Kudelia and Orga's girlfriend somehow.
She was. It was gross ad she called it gross.
The Turbines stance is that they don't exactly approve of Tekkadan's revenge thing but they understand where they're coming from with it and will just work to make sure they don't all die from it.
Meribit works for Teiwaz, not the Turbines directly.
Doesn't Ein get bored in the Robot all day now.
>Hey Mika, here is the map to that place
I'm not a fan of Haman but to compare Carta to her is ridiculous, they are female villains in a Gundam show and that's where the similarities end, Carta is more like a female, less funny version of Mashymre
>watch better gundam
Is this a joke? IBO is the standard gundam series always tried to reach but never could.
Gunpla is the best thing in this god damn series
What did she mean by this ?
FLESH IS WEAKNESS
You're joking, right? IBO is the standard of mediocre. Everything about the show is mediocre from the dialogue to the music to the plot to the animation. The show started off great, but fell into a lull of mediocrity, beating themes to death and continuing to flog them after long since dead. How many times does Kudelia stand around with her hand on her chest or how many times do people say she's amazing for saying the simplest shit? Characters are flat, and non besides Orga and Mika (sometimes) have any iota of interest. In effect, IBO is been there done that, but without any skill or talent to warrant its existence (outside of being a gunpla ad).
Its the best Gundam ever bro havent you seen the tumblr and reddit posts
I want Gaelio to find out sometime around the end of the series about all the crap McGiggles has been pulling behind his back. Then I want to see Gaelio avenge Carta, Ein, and his sister. (his sister dies being used as a pawn by McGiggles btw)
This actually wouldn't surprise me. If the show is going to end with peace then someone who isn't a terrible being will have to seize control of Gjallarhorn, or Gjallarhorn will have to be completely destroyed.
McGillis is far too much of a scumbag, and destroying Gjallarhorn looks far too unrealistic for Tekkadan.
If Gaelio doesn't seize control and fixes Gjallarhorn then nothing will. But that also won't happen with McGillis in the way. They will clash.
>we want the Thunderbolt audience
Am I supposed to think Kudelia/Beardo/Tekkadan are the good guys?
It seems like everyone is varying degrees of bad and I would like to chock that down to "competent writing" but i'm hesitant. It seems more likely that it was unintentional.
My little crossboarder can't be this easy to bait.
>and Shino of all people was in command. SHINO! That's how bad things were.
Hey man, Shino was actually running an entire marines squad before he got into a gundam. In the one raid they were together with orga it was actually Shino giving the orders. He has some book knowledge of military tactics and such, too.
Space rats need to be eliminated!
All the japs like doing is drawing Sisters of Battle
I don't think there is supposed to be complete good in the story. Beardo is an asshole, Kudelia wants to become a maiden of revolution and Tekkadan is a mercenary company run by revenge.
So how exactly did Carta think she had a chance of winning against Tekkadan in a fair duel? She already lost to them twice while having superior numbers, Tekkadan has superior machines, more combat experience than her (That battle during re-entry was her first real MS battle), and they have AV system on top of that.
If anything she was setting herself up to die.
When Tekkadan ends up looking like this, we'll see who's relying on shock value.
I mean remember to that last mercenary company that was fueled by revenge?
So, wait, after all that fight, after her underlings got all sorts of splattered and reduced to goo, she gets sved by the knight in shining armor but then still bleeds to death from being beaten around in a fucking mecha?
That's a pretty lame way to die. And she barely managed to slow them down.
The point is he was never shown saying any of the revenge things like the other kids. Still pure and innocent, but also troubled.
Who said he has to sit there all day.
No. She is the only child of another of the Seven stars families. Her dad and head of the household is ill so the Fareed family was basically raising her. Gaelio is her childhood friend and a different seven stars who would visit her at the Fareed manor.
After these two episodes my dream of Merribit getting the Orga D is looking like it's staying just that. A dream, unfulfilled.
Either way I don't want it to happen, but I think it will happen.
Probably when his inevitable defeat comes, his broken cockpit will reveal his pitiful figure inside.
As much as people want the tekandan to die is anyone actually hoping they lose as hard as you hoped the guys in 00 would lose? Because I really wanted them to get wrecked early on.
I expect Mika to die in Bossman's arms while saying that he's finally arrived at the place he was promised, Kudelia to fail and become a political prisoner of the ecoblocs and most of the Tekkadan kids to become POW's.
There'll be some epilogue about how their struggle was broadcasted and they became martyrs for a solar system-wide marxist revolution that finally topples Gjallarhorn and plunges mankind into a millenia of barbaric violence and darkness where political lines are redrawn and oppressor becomes oppressed becomes oppressor becomes oppressed and so on while humankind continues to repeat its mistakes over and over.
Cue season 2 after a timeskip.
>his broken cockpit will reveal his pitiful figure inside.
Fuck, that's going to be what snaps them out of this revenge thing isn't it? Ein is pretty much "Revenge!" the character and seeing what revenge does to a man is going to be the shock they need.
Kudelia needs to be made an example of. She needs to be tied up and raped by the Earth empire as a public toilet, and every day people would walk past her and see what happens when you try to start a revolution with naive ideals and no understanding of the world.
Merribit will be used as a sex tool to train young shotas.
>Atra notices something is wrong with Tekkadan
>Tries to tell the kids but they're bloodthirsty
>Tries to tell Kudelia, but Kudelia is too busy preparing for her big speech and discussing political strategy with Makanai
>Atra tries to confront Mika about his attitude
>Mika kisses her and tries to rape her ("This will make her happy...")
>Atra bites him and runs away in tears
>>Mika kisses her and tries to rape her ("This will make her happy...")
This would be fucking amazing and show everyone that Mika is a psychotic cunt that needs to be put down.
