I like Madoka because she single-handedly solved all the problems a magical girl could face at the expense of her own happiness. She's sweet and caring, her love isn't just aimed at one person (like Homura, Sayaka, Kyouko), nor at herself (Mami). And because, despite her quite indecisive personality, her resolve at the end was one of the strongest, and took more guts than what you'd have expected from a person like her.

Kyouko is still best girl though.

Nagisa but that's mostly because we know next to nothing about her. She was a witch in many alternate timelines, she has a fondness for "cheese" (or Mami) and that's it. Even though it isn't said anywhere I like to believe that she teamed up with Mami to make up for the beheadings.

I recently finished this series and I'm kind of unclear on something.

I thought they would drop something about the despair needed to become a witch is relative to the scale of your initial wish, but they never did. So Sayaka is basically bitch mode since she turned witch because a boy didn't like her enough, while Kyouko lost her whole family and toughed it out just fine.

If no one has mentioned it, in Rebellion Kyouko is shown to be taller than Sayaka. This can be seen during them and Madoka walking to school. Also Kyubey is worst girl.

I guess I don't know what you mean. In this shot the line touches the top of Sayaka's head but only seems to pass through Kyouko's hair. You can see there is a 2 pixel gap between the top of Kyouko's skull and the line. The same line goes 2-3 pixels deep into Sayaka's head.

Kyoko's not bad, she's just worst girl for me. Her characterization/trope annoys me, and while this is not reflective of the character I'm super irked they're going the yuri route for her and Sayaka's relationship. Really cheapens it for me.
