Episode title: "I'm Not Fit to Be a Leader"
Will they adapt Ranta's POV chapter?
Will we see Renji's party in action before the anime ends?
Are they going to rush the novel this time?
Release date of vol 8 is March 25
Why is Merry best girl?
The only logical choice is to go for the girl with the biggest tits.
>Will we see Renji's party in action before the anime ends?
Maybe today. The renji scene is also how Haru sees the type of leader Renji is to start that conversation with Merry.
As the leader Haruhiro starts to feel unease about Ranta's actions,
Seems like they will not skip it afterall.
Yeah, pretty much the first visit to the mines, they finding kobolds hard at first because used to goblins until Merry tells them to stay calm, Haru getting bothered by Ranta and then going to talk to him at night.
Although this should be around half of the episode.
Besides from Haruhiro and Ranta everyone looks so different from their Anime counter-parts.
I didn't make it in time to reply yesterday but to the anon that asked about the game images - yeah, I rename the pics by copypasting the card title. They are originally index.jpg or png.
She looks more "generic" in the LN art desu
And yet people complained about the changes.
But that jacket man
I love when the characters in a story somehow look like they're improving with their equipment
but look at that damn fabulous lighting. so fucking magnificent.
but yeah, the girls looks weird most of the time, they start to look better after vol 3 though. all the males one looks great though. haru, ranta, manato, mogzo, renji, souma, the new pally, and other males looks good to me.
The bodies are okay. But the illustrator's profile faces especially on women. What the hell.
The lighting is okay but it makes me feel like it's so fucking bright sometimes in that world.
Colors are damn good though.
I wish, anon. I only made another account to see if I could get a different card after finishing the tutorial. That free SR and the Manato screencap one are the only SR I got so far. I'm trying to figure out how to get the screencap Haru one but runes, how do they work. I know you need to invite 80 players to get the Barbara one. I think only the premium lottery has the other SR, it sucks. I was ready to sink some money but it's way too expensive for something with 9% (SR) and 1% (SSR) odds. Not to mention to raise your chances of getting a SR instead of a R you have to spend around $50 and even then you could still get a character you don't care about. God, I hate these games.
Pic is what I collected from all 3 accounts sorted by library order.
This is one of the few shows that I like every single girl. I just cant decide if I want to marry yume or mary
Seems like everyone will get it from the 22th on, if you at least did the that coin roll once. The level it will come at, will depends on how many times you do it until the 22th. You can do at most 3 per day. One everyone can do right away every day, the second needs you to participate in at least one raid, the third you need to invite a friend that day.
The level is important because it can even give you that card level limit break. But without the 3rd roll by inviting friends, you can't get enough to reach max break.
Ohh I see, so that's why it was leveling. Thanks for explaining. It really needs a bunch of rolls to get to the level break.
Yeah, 35 rolls for max limit break, but with 15 days you can only get 30 rolls if you don't have friends to invite.
Does remind one of Ranta.
hints are dropped from both characters all over the place. it's frustratingly obvious they like eachother
but muh purity and muh romantic tension mean nothing concrete has happened yet, just mutual emotional support and little tidbits of interaction here and there
im gonna go mad waiting for them to kiss or even hug or something
The author is prolonging it so much just for added drama. It's fucking obvious already to the readers how much they like each other.
Author is doing it for that mental breakdown for Haru.
What the fuck is wrong with her body holy shit is she a fucking midget?
Getting caught up on this.
What is with these memesubs? I switched to these because FUNi didn't translate the song lyrics but I'm starting to wonder if it's worth it. Is this my best option for subs?
Anon that wanted both cloak/sleepy eyes and armpits needs to see this.
This is fucking atrocious
I know this has probably been said before, but it's refreshing to see a realistic MMO healer in anime.
I want to rape her in her sleep
This is pretty much rat in every sense, /a/non
*muffled SUBARASHII in the distance*
What a dick.
I like him more and more.
He's joking, I don't see how that's hard to register.
He's a lot more annoying in the LN anyway.
Anime has actually done a lot for his character.
I think people just don't want to think and take everything at face value, maybe next episode will make you think a bit more.
He's a scapegoat and tension reliever for the group, and he's fine with that, that's his role.
People just take it for granted that everyone will always be cheerful and worry free and label his character as annoying.
Is all joke and fun, then someone got a crossbow dart in the back. You can joke all the time once you got you ass in the inn on a mug of beer, when you work in life and death you don't joke about killing your buddy for Vice.
>Murdered sleeping goblins before
>"You want to murder sleeping kobolds? You monster."
You can't be fucking serious.
>Murdered sleeping goblins before
Though you could always go with them becoming less desperate and not needing to do that anymore.
At least they didn't flip too much here, it was worse in the LN, but the LN didn't have the goblin one.
I find Ranta annoying but he was just getting flat out bullied this episode.
The leader is concerned about one of his members not being a team player. As the leader, he had to address this issue. Yeah, Ranta is contributing to the party, but he also needs to work with them.
he is doing that, they're just sensitive to notice it or give him credit most of the time because he's not 'nice' about it.
it's like playing an mmo with emotionally unstable noobs
>Lets let this fucker live so he can cut us the retreat or backstab us any moment
Fuck this faggots, Ranta was right-
He's not working as a team. He's doing his own thing while being in the party. Haru wants Ranta to work together in fights, so they go easier and with the chance of less casualties, but Ranta's being a dick about it.
Finally is able to do spells and its a fucking fear that is actually more like a fury/taunt spell.
Also, hunter throwing knifes instead of thief.
When they finally started to look like they knew what they are doing...
>The particular goblin Haruhiro was watching sat itself down, gruffly crossed its arms across its chest, and leaned back against a wall. It hung its head down and closed its eyes. It was still daytime though, so it seemed like it was about to take a nap. Haruhiro hurried back to where the others were waiting, taking care not to make any sound as he moved.
>“One goblin and it seems to be asleep,” he reported.
>“Okay, then. Let’s go for it.” Manato’s expression tensed as he went on.
>Navigating towards the sleeping goblin took more time than they anticipated and there were several times when their footfalls produced noise.
>Ranta let go of the breath he had been holding and approached the goblin. Rather than bringing his long sword up for an overhead swung, he thrust the tip of it at the goblin’s head. The goblin opened its eyes with a grunt. It noticed Haruhiro and the others right away and seemed to realize exactly what was happening.
I don't see where Ranta isn't working together in fights with them? Just because this one episode he had the opportunity to 1v1 a kobold doesn't mean he doesn't do teamwork when needed. Like, he was consistently working with the rest during the last big goblin battle, and even in the latter kobold fights this episode.
He actually is. Haru is just butthurt Ranta isn't doing it his way. Haru even admitted that Ranta functions as the secondary tank, so letting him enemies within his capabilities on his own isn't exactly a bad thing
Everyone is either an off-tank or a secondary tank according to Haru and he changes his definitions every week.
Also that wasn't Haru's problem. His problem was that Ranta just told everyone to fuck off instead of telling them what he was trying to do.
There was also the time he loudly rushed a goblin while they were preparing to ambush it.
And the times when he stops fighting to collect a vice instead of waiting.
Oh, and he also stabbed through a fucking kobold while his teammate was grappling on it's back.
It's just not okay.
To be fair Ranta is just obnoxius personality but is doing his job. Also, considering the situations he has a point in lot of things, like killing a pack of kobolds that could come and bite your ass later but since he is obnoxious they just ignore him.
Its like when Mary did properly her job (better than Manato) but everyone was salty because she wasn't being friendly and thought she wasn't colaborative.
Everyone is using him as a scapegoat and tension reliever like Ranta says and he has taken that role upon himself.
Haru not being a good leader like Manato is also aggravating the situation.
But Rantafags say that he does.
They don't have to because they know each other and how they work.
Merry was the exception.
They did not know how she worked and she did not know how she did it.
That was during their first major battle, where everyone fucked up. Might as well be complaining that Shihoru can't hit anyone with her spells, Yume can't aim her bow, or literally anything else.
And Haru got out of the way in time, so it's not like anything bad happened.
Kobolds don't have the same appeal as Goblins.
Bring Goblins back.
Also want to point out that Mary understood what Ranta was working as their off-tank without having to be told, and even tailored her skills to support that.
Is this slut for real? Is the rest of her brain in her butt? What the fuck?
Anon I love how you understand this so much.
I hope everyone will come to this understanding in due time.
Glad they kept in the skill spam from Ranta. Looks like they combined the Dread Terror scene together with it, too.
Disappointed they didn't show him killing an Elder Goblin by himself, though.
She is just curious.
Ranta did more to warn them.
>Disappointed they didn't show him killing an Elder Goblin by himself, though.
pretty sure they did. Haru said to surround him, and Ranta just jumped in and skewered him on his own
Saving the only only collage that mattered for last, I see.
>Mary understood what Ranta was working as their off-tank without having to be told
Even Haru knows, the problem is not his skills, the problem is that Haru and Ranta have opposite characters and clash often.
Does that count? The scene in the LN was with them fighting several Elder Kobolds, and by the time they got the first one down, Ranta had taken his down, too.
>We're invading kobold homes and murdering them for money
>But no, it's not morally right to murder them when they're asleep
Even he acknowledges he's a fucking hypocrite.
>they got farms
>have fenced farms
>have wells to draw water from
>they are civilized apart from the random howling
>they don't come out of the mine to slaughter humans
Why are they killing "kobolds". Why the fuck are they called kobolds, those are clearly wolfmen.
That's why he offered Ranta to join his group.
There are no cannons in the Grimgar world.
Everyone is a tank of some sort according to Haru.
He even referred to himself as an off tank a couple of times not to mention Manato.
Ranta didn't say anything about him being a tank it was Haru projecting.
And yet they regularly demonstrate the closest thing to talent and effort when it comes to a given series. An author just has to write self insert or chuuni shit and an editor just has to drive deadlines and make money
Ranta cooperates. When did you see lack of teamwork in the previous episodes? Haru is just a whiny bitch. Ranta has his issues but he is essential in the tea. As he said, he does his part.
>it's 5 am and they are already flirting ffs
Is she wet? Does she want Haruhiro to Spider her in bed?
Yes she is
RantaxYumefags on suicide watch
My point is that he's unpredictable and can't be relied on.
Sure when everything is going smoothly he seems to do ok but when shit will eventually hit the fan you can't reliably count on him doing whatever is best for everyone because of his stubbornness and inability to take orders.
I'd rather work alone than with people like him.
She's indirectly asking Haru to go to her room and sleep with her, so as not to catch a cold of course
Kind of like how the Venn diagram of retards and Yume fans is a single circle?
Definitely. He's downright vicious in the LN. That little chat between he and Haru in this ep was toned down significantly from how venomous it sounded like in the LN when Ranta was describing exactly what he was to the party.
I like how people conveniently forget that Ranta's religiously obligated to kill things solo.
They don't consider him a friend, either, except for Haru who's actually said it out loud.
>Grimgar with gobs
>Konosuba with Dullahan
Why is this season so full of DINDU NUFFINs?
>I like how people conveniently forget that Ranta's religiously obligated to kill things solo.
He's only obligated to kill them. He doesn't to fight them solo.
Even getting just the last hit would work just fine for a vice.
But they're both not "talking" if you get what I mean.
One is not voicing his thoughts out properly when he should be, and the other one has the "you should understand me in whatever I do attitude".
In short, both of them are doing the same thing, just doing it differently.
They are both retarded.
>Alright, starting today I'll be your real son, Merry! Wait, that's kind of out there, so I'll be your adopted son instead!
>Alright Merry, starting today, you're my mama. Take good care of me, Mama!
Truly best mama.
Does Ranta eventually get what's coming to him?
He can't keep going the way he is, There has to be some point where he causes a huge fuck up by misreading enemies and learns to work as a team rather than using everyone else as a set up.
Haru's insecure because he feels like Ranta might NTR him and snatch away his nascent little harem from him. It happens when there's an alpha in the group the little bitch always feels insecure.
No, Haru passive-aggressively told Ranta he's an annoying cunt while trying to make it sound like he was concerned about party performance. He couldn't even be upfront about his own flaws after he criticized Ranta to his face. To Ranta, it looks like Haru is just too much of a pussy to be honest and it annoys the fuck out of him. At least with Mary she didn't bullshit, she straight up told him off for using foul language and now he speaks politely around her. Wow look at that, direct communication and confrontation got through to him, it's almost like he doesn't respect weakness.
But Haru is too much of a coward and a hypocrite to see his own flaws, and Ranta called him on that too.
It hasn't happened yet. Guy's got some crazy luck. Even when he gets separated from the party he handles business.
>But Haru is too much of a coward and a hypocrite to see his own flaws, and Ranta called him on that too.
Haru a far more valuable asset to his team than Ranta could even hope to be.
Way to completely dodge the point. Ranta is wild, he can be a strong asset to the party if handled correctly but Haru is too weak and ineffectual to do it. If a problem can't be solved by hugging and talking about feelings, Haru is pretty much out of his depth.
Would a fist fight help to settle their differences?
Look how cute this two are together
they could become one of this legendary yuri couples
It might. Ranta really needs to be shown who's boss, and since Haru is about as forceful and intimidating as a lame kitten he'll need to beat it into Ranta. If it were Renji, he'd whip Ranta into shape in all of 5 minutes probably. Manato's method also works, but Haru's not nearly insightful enough to pull it off.
Boss Nigger goes where the fuck he wants to, troop.
But Haru acknowledges his flaws he just doesn't talk about them.
Ranta is just a deal with it faggot. It was Ranta who even implied he was doing it for the party when it actually was just to serve his own ego of 1v1 a monster for his retarded vices.
Haru is more concerned about teamwork than individual performance.
You really haven't been paying attention.
People seem to be unable to see that Haru is being a being because they elf-insert as him. Ranta has his faults but Haru does too. Haru is unable to deal with him and thinks of him and tries to see him in the worst light possible.
Haru is insecure about his weaknessess and that is what keeps them from connecting. Can't blame him though, everything that is happening is very new to him, yet in order to connect with others one should share his vulnerability, especially when it's an authority.
How stupid do you have to be to set off a tripwire alarm like that? That's the sort of thing that's used to keep stupid animals from wandering out of their pens, and this fucking mouth-breather just slams into this thick ass rope strung all over the place. I bet even those molepigs have enough awareness to not set it off.
Yeah that's why it's just gonna get worse. You know so much of this could be avoided if Haru stopped being passive-aggressive towards him. One of the reasons Ranta's so edgy is because Haru does nothing but shit on him and give him orders, at least with Manato he felt appreciated. Manato regularly complimented people in the party, if he told Ranta to do something he thought of it as Manato needing his help rather than being used by somebody who thinks less of him, which is what he feels about Haru.
Loved the mine setting, could almost hear the dkc mine bgms.
I like how Haru is happy and all smiles around everyone in the party except Ranta, who explicitly said doesn't really care about befriending anyone, not in the "misunderstandings" tone but in a very serious one.
Whose to say Ranta doesn't also acknowledge his own flaws? He pretty much agreed that he's hated and doesn't do standard teamwork well. That's why he attempted to do his own thing to help the party because he can't work well with them any other way.
Whereas Haru chooses to bring Ranta out and start talking about flaws and weaknesses, then is unwilling to talk about his own.
At first he was useless Leroy jenkins, but at least right now he is doing his job properly.
Only Haruhiko see its other way. The rest of the party just aren't good at dealing with his personality but doesn't seem to have a problem with his work.
What the fuck does it have to do anything with leddit?
You can acknowledge your flaws and do something about them without telling the whole world about it. But at least he tries to somehow approach Ranta. He also approached Mary and cleared any misunderstandings with her. Ranta does the exact opposite. He openly tells everyone that he's flawed but isn't doing anything to make himself better. Instead of trying listening to others at least once he just does his own thing and says it was better for everyone else.
The tank, mage, Yume, and Haru are how geeks and nerds are together. Ranta is the crossboarder between Renji's group and theirs, not quite social enough to be in Renji's group but not geeky enough to be in theirs. And of course Mary is in a class of her own.
if you can't own up to them, dont go scapegoating others to fess up to their weaknesses, that's textbook hypocrisy.
>He openly tells everyone that he's flawed but isn't doing anything to make himself better.
except you know going out of his way to contribute to the group when he doesn't have to. but go ahead and keep ignoring that.
Probably something like this
>Why is this whiny bitch always ragging on me?
>Did I fuck up? I don't think I fucked up. I did great today.
>I solo'd a Kobold!
>"Great job, Ranta!" that's what Manato would say about it.
>Haru just thinks he's hot shit cause he dropped a Kobold in one hit, so what I struggled a bit, I still managed to take it down by myself.
>What the fuck is his problem?
>Calling me out here in the middle of the night to shit on me some more, then acts like his shit doesn't stink.
Because random non-hostile encounters disappear if you don't fight them.
You're risking more resources engaging them than you could gain.
Plus it can change the alignment of good characters which makes party composition complicated.
Manato worked with what he had. They were the remnants nobody wanted, he had to make them work as a party if they were to survive. When somebody like Ranta is involved, there's going to be cohesion issues cause of his ego. Manato could have tried to bully him into submission, but he risked tearing their fledgling group apart doing that, Ranta might have just quit the group if Manato couldn't intimidate him successfully. Rather than risk that, he just worked around Ranta's ego. He complimented him and compensated for his recklessness.
Worked out pretty good at first when they were fighting just a couple weak enemies at a time, but Manato used himself too carelessly and got killed for it. To his credit though, he managed to hold together a group of people who otherwise might not have functioned as a group at all.
I imagine Ranta's just annoyed at all the negativity being pointed at him for things he doesn't feel is objectively wrong. He doesn't feel appreciated and now he's getting shit thrown at him and talked down to as if everyone's so much better than him.
>haggling when he doesn't need to
>taking on higher foes by himself to provide more strategies, something mary can see but haru cant? this also is an unnecessary risk he chooses to take for the party
>is good at his actual role and not incompetant with his weapon (cough yume cough)
>protects his fucking healer
in what way does he contribute any less than the moeblobs?
did Ranta become a hobbit?
If Manato had just complimented Haru, he'd feel more sure of himself. As it stands now, this poster is right:
It's made harder by his outright statement that he doesn't view them as friends, just a group of people that he hangs out with and goes on jobs. In a way, his outlook on the party has swapped places with Merry's.
Haru is a shit leader. With Ranta you either discipline him by being harsh or Manato's soft diplomatic way.
Haru can't deal with Ranta, he let's him do and say what he wants and then out of the blue he bicthes about him.
The others follow Haru blindly because they are all mentally challenged (Yume, Moguzo, Titsmage) or want his dick and have PTSD (Merry), it doesn't work with Ranta.
>he doesn't view them as friends, just a group of people that he hangs out with and goes on jobs.
It's a natural response when you feel like everyone is treating you like shit and you're just forced to take it for their sake.
>he haggled because he likes to argue with everyone
>he takes on foes alone to get the kill and get vices
>was as incompetent as everyone at first but now everyone can use their weapon properly. Yume is going dagger focus instead of bows.
>Manato was really protected. Mary doesn't need as much protection. Protecting your healer isn't going above and beyond the call either.
No one is going to question how haruhiro got a track suit in the middle of a fantasy world.
and that's why he isn't friends with everyone because they think he's shit. What's the point in being friends with people who won't accept you for being you.
He still has his responsibilities and acts to meet them and he isn't actively trying to hurt people because they disagree with him.
Maybe the season will end with them talking it out or having an understanding. As it stands now, if things continue like this, Ranta will get outclassed as fuck and die. There's a lot of factors to it, but Haru needs to get out of his head more and dispense praise. Honor those beneath you and they'll take you higher.
>doesn't change the fact that it benefited the party
>he only needs to land the killing blow to get vices, 1v1's goes against being a dread knight but he did so for the sake of the team as he already said. nice try but no
>yume still cant use her bow properly, and wont kill animals because muh kawaii
> manato got himself kiled, ranta learned from his mistake and protected mary. see the episode again bias fag. protecting your healer is common sense, yet why is it that ranta was the only thus shown to do so?
Let's stop fighting and appreciate Yume instead.
I do believe Ranta might have been a bit paranoid in his own way, but probably also a bit true using Haru as an example. Like, Haru says he himself has a lot of flaws, but is he doing anything to fix them? No, his priority is first on fixing Ranta's flaws first.
Don't you remember how he almost brought boobmage to tears in the first episodes just because?
They don't need to assume he is shit, he is shit.
There really is no point with being friends with people like that but Ranta still acts like he dindu nuffin and everyone is just mean to him.
I still think she's somewhat retarded
He stopped doing things like that because he was reminded not to.
He makes changes without anyone noticing and it's frustrating because he doesn't want to lose himself in the process of trying to be a perfect person in everyone's eyes.
I do feel Ranta is changing for the better. Like how he basically just accepted Haru's decision to leave the mines early this episode without going down, whereas he probably would have argued a lot more a long time ago.
>accidental benefiting the party when you don't intend to doesn't mean he cares
>he just said he did it for the sake of the team but it was for his sake. The sake of his team would be to act as a team. This time it was a simple kobold but next time it will be someone far worse and insisting on acting like that makes things far worse when he gets wiped and the party suffers from being a man down.
>She made some very decent shots. What's the point of killing animals if they don't drop loot and alert the enemies?
>Ranta was the closest and anyone else would do the same.
Yeah he's too paranoid. Both of them are being pretty stupid though.
One is noisy about his flaws and outright says it, but believes he shouldn't actually change and expects people to go with his flow. The other is quiet about his flaws, but wants to correct the other before himself.
>Don't you remember how he almost brought boobmage to tears in the first episodes just because?
HARU ALSO WAS PART OF THAT BY LOOKING DIRECTLY AT HER TITS
THE SAME FUCKING HARU WHO WAS PEEKING UP HER SKIRT IN STEALTH
Fucking MC insertfaggots
I want to protect that smile
This is why Ranta feels like he's just taking all the party's blame even if he isn't solely at fault for things. Like some things he can admit to being wrong about things, but since he has been shown to be in objectively wrong light, that means people are quicker to blame him for things he isn't responsible for.
