The last three fights seemed more about setting up the second half of the final arc, with all the talk about the Soul King's limbs, the anti-god sword and now Urahara's view about deconstructing and reconstructing the world with his own hands. We still don't know much about Yhwach's past or the first blood war and other important things, like Ginjou, the Shiba family or Aizen have yet to play out and are only set up. Yup. While the quincies are the main antagonist so far for this arc all the reveals have been building up to the true nature of Soul Society. There are plenty of proponents claiming the place doesn't work the way it should and with Ywach's invasion there's an opportunity for them to turn things around for the better. The finale is definitely going to deal with Urahara's and Aizen's conflicting ideas of how to handle the Soul King issue and his Bankai, views, know how and relationship with Ichigo and the Royal Guard are setting him up to be the other end of the last dialogue/battle of the series.

Since I started uni last year I've found out anime and manga isn't this super secret club I thought it was. Half of my class watches atleast the mainstream anime like Naruto, AoT, OPM etc. There's a few Bleach fans as well. It's like those Marvel movies, everyone knows about it and discusses it during breaks and stuff.
Hell, the last student house I lived in there were two completely regular dudes who were way waaay into One Piece. And they were like your everyday dude, went to the gym twice a week, had a healthy, long relationship with cute girls and got decent grades.

We have yet to see, whether BG9 was excecuted or not. He may be the one, who controlls the stone statues. While unlikely Cang Du could be revealed to have survived his wounds, so both Chad and Ganju have an opponent, Gremmy may possibly be the Soul King's brain and Mayuri may possibly bring him back with some kind of machine, that restores brains, like in the movie. I mean that's why people things, Nemu isn't really dead, because Mayuri has saved her brain, right?
