It's because HS insists on replacing all the various fonts the simulcasters use (CR, for example, use multiple fonts per episode) with their fucking ugly opensans font. Their shit script fucks up with anything not alphanumeric.

Rip your own subs. Or download CReep or whatever, there's a dozen CR ripping bots out there all doing the same job as HS, but without fucking with the fonts.

Easy. We'll learn japanese and won't need any subgroups anymore.

In the early 2000s for instance they were still diarrhea tier with rainbow OP/EDs, editor and translator notes taking half of the screen and the horror of hard subs.

It's a good think groups like zx existed so I have some good old DVD rips with the yellow subs.

I mean it doesn't matter if you try to glorify fansubbing it's not coming back so it doesn't quite matter if history gets rewrite but still I'd rather if you don't lie about it.

Cruchyroll first started out as a video sharing site that stole fansubs and videos. They essentially used the work of fansub groups to amass a fanbase and become legit.
After doing so they became anti fansub almost immediately and blamed them and suddenly took a moral high ground to piracy.
