Cross Ange is now about Hilda wanting to break out of Norma prison to get one last taste of her mother's delicious pie, how much better would the show be?
Ersha didn't deserve any more screentime.
>dissing best waifu
>thinking a pleb should get more Ange
how long before we get another show like CA
>move the green into the hair
>ditch the pink in the eyes
Jill was not worth of being avenged.
Happy as, she not only escaped with her life but now she has actual friends and the chance to live a free, peaceful existence. Also:
- She doesn't like that particular man
- There is a chance that, thanks to said man and certain genetist going back to his people, men will return to that world.
- Failing that, she has a machine able to travel through dimensions; she can travel to another world and get a man of her liking.
>Salia always had the potential to activate the RM Arsenal had and to be the Libertus' champion; note how Jill never managed to use Villkiss (or Ersha's RM) alternate modes, something Ange, Salia and Hilda achieved).
>Jill thought so poorly of her she never gave her the chance, instead contributing to her emotional / self-esteem issues.
>men will return to that world
Technically men are already in that world. It's just that Salia can't mate with them since they can't turn into human form. It'll probably be easier for her to just go get a Manafag.
Return as, getting their human forms back. Aura, the one who turned humans into draconium-infused lifeforms is back, they have an untainted DNA sample (Tusk) and Embryo's lab at their disposal. I think Aura can find a way to turn men into humans.
A manafag? Salia deserves better. Fuck the manafags.
So which version should I watch? The TV version or the BD version?
I blame her background.
Just like Ange, she was an entitled bitch.
Unlike Ange, she got worse and could not think of people of lower birth as equals.
Even then, Salia has to somehow compete with every DRAGON girl, and manage to get a DRAGON male despite their messed up gender ratio.
The thing I've been thinking about if I should watch the BD is that instead of steam and stuff being used for censoring, they're just barbie dolls instead. Not to mention they also covered up the naked apron in the BD.
So then another question; Do they fix anything for the BD's? You know, like animations or badly drawn characters and stuff.
Probably the ancient humans and Jazmine contributed to that:
>"you're the princess. And the chosen one! you'll be the hero who will liberate mankind!"
It fixed some. And created others.
Better watch the TV release. Some stuff is fixed, added and/or decensored in the BDs, but some stuff is actually made worse. Besides, if you can't stand QUALITY it doesn't matter which release you watch, you're gonna hate it.
>Do they fix anything for the BD's?
I don't understand why they removed the censoring if they are so lazy.
Thank Embryo's rape chamber for that.
>tfw we will probably never see any more of her or any other Cross Ange character
Is there any other series where the TV version is superior to the BD version?
I mean censoring pic related has always blown my mind. Why? Why the fuck would you make it less lewd? Not to mention it's a still that's shown for a couple seconds involving a character than has maybe 3 lines in the entire series.
It just doesn't make sense.
Anon's theory is that the naked apron thing implied that Irma? Tanya? that she had a sexual relationship with Embryo and that particular scene's objective was to depict him engaging in platonic, not-romantic activities with the diamond knights (being a model for Irma? Tanya?'s painting, playing videogames with Chris, helping Salia with her cosplay costumes, etcetera).
>like we did
I'm sorry but he can't. Cross Ange was /a/ at its best. Also having to wait a week for each episode made you savor every moment.
Also for me at least, having to stream the last two episodes on my phone in hostels with borrowed headphones was pretty neat.
The only way that makes sense is if they wanted wanted it to seem like the only person he was sleeping with was Salia. Because they didn't change any of the scenes that implied they had a romantic/sexual relationship.
Which kind of makes sense, Salia was in love with him, if he was fucking the other girls she would have had some issues. I mean we saw what happened when he turned his attention to Ange, Salia lost her shit.
The last two months of Cross Ange had some of the absolute best threads I've ever seen on this site.
Very little shitposting, active but not insanely so, almost no waifu wars, no tripfag circlejerking, a ton of discussion about the series and characters. You could tell the people posting in the threads actually cared about the show.
I wish more threads were like that.
Exactly. They wanted to imply that Salia was the only one involved with Embryo at that level. It wouldn't make much sense to see her losing her shit over his new fondness of Ange if he had been sleeping with everyone.
Yeah. The threads, the anguish of saturday being six days away, the speculation, those are things you can't repeat. That's the magic of anime originals compared to adaptations, where the people who read the source material spoils everything for everyone since the very beginning.
My computer shat the bed halfway through february and I had no money until the end of the month so I avoided the threads and the show entirely; I didn't want to watch the thing in a tiny 4" tiny screen so I avoided being spoiled. That wasn't fun.
I think the threads were great since the very beginning, especially after the third or fourth episode. And people were nice enough to just keep one thread active (to be fair the show wasn't popular on /a/).
I agree about the shitposting almost disappearing during the second half; I think shitposters and trolls just got bored and moved to other shows. I remember a very tenacious one who always used g-reco, /co/ and /tv/ reaction images; he just stopped coming after 2015 started, only to resurface for the Iron Blood Orphans thread.
Not just /u/ or /a/. Mention CA on any other anime-related website and you'll get a violent reaction, even to this day.
I don't understand why. As a fanservice show it was very tame compared to something like, I don't know, Queen's Blade or Valkyria Drive.
As a yuri fan, my problem with VD wasn't what it did but what it didn't do.
It didn't have a likable main couple that had actual development
It didn't focus on the much more interesting side characters
It didn't keep up the high quality of fanservice
The faceless man gang bang and tentacle rape scenes were fine but the lack of focus on romance and fanservice really killed my enthusiasm.
Also Rosalie and Chris' relationship in CA was far more interesting than any couple in VD.
I think using sex as a plot device like VD does is completely uninteresting, be heterosexual or homosexual sex.
Not fucking because they feel romantic and/or physical attraction; but to use the plot device: what's the point?
I don't know about that, I remember going to other sites and reading their opinions on CA. The people that shit on it only watched the first few episodes, anyone that stuck around actually ended up liking the series quite a bit.
I mean it has a 7.5 on MAL, which funnily enough is higher than QB or VDs score.
but if it was truly hated, it would have a far lower score.
Checking ANN, it has a decent score. That's pretty surprising.
It's funny how CA's yuribait was over the top, like the show itself. Instead of just having Ange and Sala smiling at each other or having ambiguous conversations, it depicted the both of them having sexually-charged adventures through different eras and places.
Eh, I go to other sites, and it's more diverse, not violent, really. There's a good balance of people that likes the shows to the people that hate it. /a/ is just more vocal about how much they like it.
That's probably it, despite it all, even if it's polarizing as hell, CA just had more character development. Some got shafted like Salako but I honestly felt that AU montage we had gave us more than enough insight about her personality than anything else.
For all its flaws, CA at least had some direction. It told a story, kept you entertained and had a solid ending that wrapped everything up.
It wasn't just mindless fanservice or an open story with no resolutions.
You had actual character development, romantic progression and it never truly went off the rails. In fact I'd argue that it's the exact opposite of a trainwreck, in that it started off pretty crazy but got more focused as the show went on.
>The faceless man gang bang and tentacle rape scenes
Oh boy. Here it com-
