Magi's best parts are better than Nanatsu but overall I like Nanatsu more. It's consistently fun and doesn't take itself as seriously as Magi's edge. Plus it didn't waste time with an Alma Toran tier wreck of an arc.

Meliodas is one of the best shounen protagonists.
He has a very good synergy with all members of his own order on top of intriguing backstory and easygoing personality.
The only bad thing about him is his fixation on the worst girl in the entire manga. If only Elizabeth had the same personality as Liz.

NNT has hilariously overpowered debuffers and i love it.
So far powerlevel bullshit was minimal and there's quite a few examples when strong opponent was wrecked by teamwork. Denzel's squad is the coolest example.

They fucked a lot of the story up in the adaption, but anime is for animation and scenery porn, not story. It isn't a problem imo.

The whole deal with him, his brother, 3000 years old conflict and Liz reincarnations makes him a really interesting character.
Won't be surprised if Liz isn't even the first incarnation of his lover and he betrayed his own clans for her during the great war.

Also Zeldris seems to be a pretty interesting character as well. Even more because Mel killed that vampire girl he loved so much he sealed the vampire clan instead of killing them. Shit between them will go down so hard when he learns about what happened in Edinburgh.
