HOLY FUCKING SHIT THIS CHAPTER.
sex is too mature a concept for otakus to handle so its always --> 100+ chapters of filler shit --> confession --> forced drama --> resolution -->hold hands --> kissing --> manga ends
in 95% of mango these days
I think the setting runs on light sci fi instead of high fantasy and the pill is supposed to apply very effective anti-aging effects rather than actually making you look like 10 year younger you.
nahh I just let the story flow slice of life wise, although there was a feeling a character would also be apart of the project since there are 2 observers, I didn't think it would be Hoshiro.
I don't really want to think it's Hishiro, but while I don't know Japanese the translation at least seems confident and they probably meant to translate the last line to what they did.
I can't really think of any out here, but I'm really hoping it doesn't turn out to be her.
I wonder how long she's been at the school though, since all the other characters know her well.
Would she be the 'failed' 1st project? I cant remember the outcome of that sub-plot been a while since i read it.
I wonder if the observers will notify Kaizaki that Hishiro is part of the experiment
Also see pic, i wonder how long ago that was for her, yet she's still so autistic
There was a scene I wanted to look up and it turned out to be chapter 71. Hishiro's talking about how there was a kid bullied in her previous year. She remembers the experiences that happened but forgot about the name and face of the person.
I don't think Hishiro is the ReLife experiment, but it sounds like she was talking about the previous subject. Though there're still a lot of holes in this theory.
Interesting. However, why would Hishiro know about ReLife unless she was a part of it? She would have just had her memory wiped had she found out about it via accident.
I guess we wait until next week to find out
Fuck off with your webtoon and deviantart shit gook
Sex rarely makes a story better, I find the opposite most of the time. I'm not even thinking about gratuitous porn scenes taking up screentime, I mean that the passing knowledge that characters are banging is usually there in absence of better characterization.
Depending on how we're defining mature, I think ReLife is definitely way better than most manga. If I cared a huge amount about literary merit I'd be on the /lit/ and not here, but it's nice to see a story that cares about its themes and has a large cast developed since that seems to have become rare in manga.
thats fair. Although I doubt we'll see sex in ReLife, it'd be nice to have more high school Slice of Life where it's involved, I feel it'd add to the realism of the story if incorporated well rather than this innocent until marriage aspect in a lot of popular romance manga today
>I somehow didn't expect this
what the fuck
was the execution just good or the lead up? How the fuck did I not expect this?
Guess we'll get at least 20 more chapters until end game since anime is airing in spring?
when all the students are actually subjects of the relife experiment
This is how you do a plot twist, Kishimoto! No shit like "The forth hokage was Naruto's father all along. I bet you did not know that despite them looking almost identical!" or "Tobi is defitnetly not Obito. Totally not. Look, he is Madara! Haha, I fooled you, he IS Obito!"
it's everything the product of the regretful imagination of the MC who, having failed in life and alone in the well known shitty "adult" japanese society, is now fantasizing about how he wanted his childhood to be and how bad he want to go back in time to enjoy those only carefree moments you are allowed to have in your life, where he was supposed to discover love for the first time, that kind of innocent and "cute" feeling witch characterize the first time a young boy and girl discover the real love for the first time (inb4 high-school are all bitches, this is his fantasy). But he just wasted this unique opportunity and instead lived that period of his life as a loner high-school student.
In the end he wake up form his fantasy and understand that he is ready to kill himself, or maybe to continue his vain fight against the society that fucked him.
shitty plot desu, but I suppose some people can relate
Shills are pushing Dagashi Kashi hard so I wouldn't doubt it. All the major manga distributors in the U.S. have reps that are designated posters on 4chan/Reddit/MAL/etc. to drive interest.
No its just treading a fine line. Relife may be gook shit here but it's slice of life style is very comfy, it also doesn't push any korean drama crap. There are really only 2 great manwharight now, which is breaker and this.
People that thought that Hishiro was in Relife, please explain.
She has been doing this for way over a year and already did a full sophomore year at the school before the current school year, much longer than Kaizaki's one year time limit.
Other than her social awkwardness and regrets associated with it, nothing really clues you in.
MC is a secret experiment, uses detective conan age pill to be teenager, catch is after 1 year everyone's memories are wiped.
Ensue typical high school shenanigans, MC likes a kuudere teenager, best girl connects dots and reveals to have prior knowledge experiment.
Threads are why n how.
So anyone thinking it may not be her that's in the experiment but that her parents are some of the people working on it?
There's still the flashback though she had with an older woman that intelligence wasn't everything or something, which could possibly be her.
Why do you fucks want to believe that Hishiro is not part of ReLife?
Everyone wins. Arata and her can pair up, Onoya would be explained, and we could just get this over and done with already.
>Other than her social awkwardness and regrets associated with it, nothing really clues you in.
It's not that out of ordinary when you see Yoake has been around for one year or two already before Kaizaki's Relife.
He thinks she's a high schooler and thinks it'd be weird if he made any moves (and he's kind of right). Also, he wants to avoid any romantic entanglement because she would lose any memories of their relationship after the term ends.
>Hishiron is a Relife
It's the kind of plot twist that everyone echoed yet there were no implicating clues given as such
So yeah I didn't really think this would happen
I didn't see it coming at all and I don't think she's a test subject either.
She's not a transfer student and if the last experiment was a failure like Onoya and Yoake said and seh was the former test subject, she wouldn't be there at all. Or did I miss something?
I don't think it's Hishiro, it seems like the obvious twist but the writing seems to imply against it. There're hints at the previous subject and all of them imply the student has left the school. The series has been very well structured too, so I imagine if it was Hishiro we'd have had a lot more evidence to think so.
Yes but you have to wonder why she knows and what her connection to Yoake is if she's not a relife. It was hinted that both of them hang out together pretty often in her second school year.
There might be a very easy explanation for that actually. It's very likely Hishiro and Yoake are connected by the same failure.
The hard part to explain is why she has memories of the ReLife project.
Oh shit, I remember seeing the announcement but I didn't think it was coming out this year.
I wonder if the manga will conclude before the anime comes out. Might be enough material for two cours.
If Best Girl is Subject 1 who the fuck is the blonde?
BRAIDS GLASSES IS BEST
I WANT TO MARRY HER
I've observed a kind of mass paranoia in /v/ermin. They think every thread is viral marketing. The ones who crossboard here now seem to believe Korean webcomics (ReLife is Japanese) is being marketed here.
>just because I thought the MC looked pretty moe.
Who would kill themselves if they had such a perfect daughter?
You mean the one that killed herself? Wasn't she more or less the same age as Kaizaki?
>main heroine can actually end with the MC after all!
This was so obvious since chapter 20 something i think. Hope he doesn't drop the MC's internal conflict with this though. I really want to see how he ends it by himself.
what if she is the senpai
and the suicide was a fake so that she could ReLIFE forever
What emotion is this face trying to convey?
I can not say that went in the direction that I thought it was going to go
Not really surprise, kinda expect it
