Sex rarely makes a story better, I find the opposite most of the time. I'm not even thinking about gratuitous porn scenes taking up screentime, I mean that the passing knowledge that characters are banging is usually there in absence of better characterization.

Depending on how we're defining mature, I think ReLife is definitely way better than most manga. If I cared a huge amount about literary merit I'd be on the /lit/ and not here, but it's nice to see a story that cares about its themes and has a large cast developed since that seems to have become rare in manga.

I don't think it's Hishiro, it seems like the obvious twist but the writing seems to imply against it. There're hints at the previous subject and all of them imply the student has left the school. The series has been very well structured too, so I imagine if it was Hishiro we'd have had a lot more evidence to think so.
