What does /a/ think about World Trigger? I think its one of the better shounen out there. Also Konami is best girl.
Toei makes it so that should be enough to say. But its still a good show the manga is way better. Here is why its good
> Interesting characters
>intense battles where the everyone uses there head instead of friendship power ups.
>The enemy doesn't tell the heroes what their weapon does
>The main protagonist isn't the strongest or strong at all but he shows progress
>also alot of good girls
It's pretty great from a manga perspective, thought it takes about 20 chapters or so for you to get "hooked". The anime less so due to the awkward pacing and quality up until the invasion arc starts to heat up.These rank was have been especially clever for Ashihara. Ashihara originally wanted to do a sports series but JUMP already had a bunch so they suggested trying to go into some genre that JUMP was lacking; like sci-i battles. The rank wars are basically Ashihara sneaking in a sports manga style system into his sci-fi battle manga and I feel it's all the better for it.
From my perspective most sports manga are usually centered around... actual sports, however with these trigger based rank wars we basically have a brand new sport set in familiar locales. So instead of the players handling balls and pucks we get to see them slash, stab, shoot, and blow up each other in wondrous visceral combat, almost like a sci-fi gladiator pen but without the accidental maiming and lion attacks. It makes spectral and it helps supplement and strengthen the cast for when we get to the occasional alien invasions.
Fun fact, gladiators rarely killed each other, the matches were partially a performance with the losers faking their death. This is due to the fact that proper gladiators had some 20 years of training and for their fights so they wanted to get the most out of their investment and not get their own actors killed pointlessly. Wild animals, captured enemy soldiers and Christians were fair game to kill though.
Anime is cheap, but manga is fucking good. It's a slow developing story though, which is kind of vexing because the author puts a lot of effort into how teams operate. Long strategic battles are my preference compared to amazing art power level shit.
It's really good. Fleshed out world with a nice and developed combat system and characters thst are enjoyable. It will be even better when Mikumo stops getting wrecked at every fucking turn
I love when a series where the MC isn't just some unstoppable friendship machine.
Osamu has been giving so many fucking powerups and he's still useless I love it.
With Osamu using a
spidertrigger now and Chika using that weird metal bartrigger Tamakoma 2 is gonna be all kinds of shit.
Also this new arc will end with Someone from Border saving Hyuse and hi then joining Tamakoma 2 won't it?
>Not reading English Weekly Shonen Jack
What's wrong nignog can't afford the 0.99 cent an issue, or the huge saving of $25.99 a year that's only 0.55 cent an issue WOW!
And subscribers even get exclusive goodies.
Anime was trash so I didnt bother reading the manga. I couldnt really get around 12 out of 24 minutes being recap scenes 6 mins of filler and about 5 mins of actual plot development OR action not both. The only thing that didnt suck was BAIL OUT
>The anime was bad so I didn't bother with the manga
>Procceeds to post problems that can only happen in anime
Are you some special kind of retard? You do realize the manga won't have those recaps right?
Anime is decent at best. But reading the manga would fix all of you problems.
>Sorry, this website is not available in your country.
Anyway anime is shit. Calling it anime is maybe even insulting considering the lack of animation 99% of the time.
The manga is really good but it took a while though so it's a shame.
What is the point of this manga? Its will be cansaled soon so no point in even starting it! Go read Doku no hero academia for good shonen manga! This... This is pure vomit out of kubo ass. Really who read it. We just make fun of it! Maybe i will take it more seriusly when someone star scaning this crap.
Why do you think its bad anon? Have you tried reading it. I'll admit its not for everyone because its start slow and is slow paced compared to other shounen. But it is pretty good.
I only picked this up and stayed with it because of Yuuma. It was nice that it turned out to be a good manga after all.
I don't care for unstoppable rape trains of ass pull either but it's been 120 chapters of Osamu getting put in the dumpster. I just want him to be competent. Just maintain a baseline of competence while being the brain of Tamakoma 2. And Chika being able to spam the weights at high speed is good especially with Osamu being decent at strategy.
If Hyuse joins Tamakoma 2 where does that leave Osamu? Just as a strategist or subbing in Hyuse for individual members based on the current rank war opponent? I don't think Hyuse will end up as part of Tamakoma or if he does it won't be as a leading role
>What does /a/ think about World Trigger?
Mediocre plot, mediocre character development, mediocre abilities / power and the "AHUEHUEHEUHUEHUEHEUHEUHUE NOBODY DED 4 SURE" setting is pant on head retarded
It is super mundane
I have been reading it since it chapter 1 bruh. Its just slow and bad and jack shiet happens. + as I said it will be canceled soon so there is not much point of reading it.
People say its good but 100 more say its bad. Then no one even bother to scan it.
Silly anon that's not Kitora.
Although, if she brings all the squad I'd gladly bang her as thanks
It's harder for long form series to keep up a high level just because of the cost. The big three all have extreme quality spikes and drops and I think the only long series to keep a decently above average quality is HxH. For what was probably not a super high budget and not having read the manga yet I really enjoyed the invasion and rank war arcs
There are 2 main protagonists. One is really strong, the other is really weak but works with what he gets in a typical "Giant Slaying" way. So you can relate to at least one of them, and by your post i can already guess which one you relate more.
Love the manga, hate the anime.
Really I only watch the anime to get pictures of Yuma.
Not him but Jin is not that present, so far he has been pulling the strings in the background most of the time. However he is always portrayed with those 3 in official art so I really hope he joins the team eventually.
Aw fuck osamu black trigger soon.Maybe now he can be special snowflake just like my LN mc, first black trigger to do a normal trigger user thing.
U wot? Have you been reading? The characters are growing together from the battles they encountered and border life. There are still time to have the main characters and side characters to have a more natural development than having a rushed "oh no this guy lacks character, do something for him!" arc.
He is talking about world building I think. We really don't know a lot about the Neighbourhood, just a bit about one other country and the names of 2 more I think. Not saying I dislike it, I much rather have slow and steady world building than a fucked up universe because the author fears he's lacking variety or something. It's going to really start off with the away mission arc.
that kind of voice is annoying for me, but only the voice I mean
Probably. The requirements for offing yourself to be a black trigger is unknown. But we can infer from Yuma's Dad and The founder who become a Black trigger for Jin that you need a certain amount of trion. Also the Chika one is obvious
Beats me, maybe osamu can go find his WILLPOWER for that, but seriously I dont know. Looks like anyone can be one if they sacrificed themselves to save another person or something important.I cant remember if we got a detailed description on how a black trigger is made.
Or maybe his low trion can just turn him into an accessory/utility trigger or just an advisor trion soldier. Would be cool if there are many types of black trigger, not just combat focused.
I love it so much it's in my 3x3 on the top row.
It's so bloody different from the usual WSJ series. I haven't disliked a chapter from 20 onward.
And yes, Konami is best girl, although I'd a Kitora, and I think Hatohara might be my favorite character.
Ashihara says Osamu, Yuuma, Chika, and Jin are the main characters of World Trigger, but Osamu and Yuuma seem to be the definite stand outs at this point, particularly Osamu. Chika is starting to get up there. Jin still feels a bit like a side character.
Dropped the animation 4 minutes into the first episode.
The animation quality was sorely lacking and I just didn't like the style.
Isnt it said that a person with a high amount of trion just has to convert all their trion and life force into their trigger, turning it into a black trigger? Or its just converting all of their trion and life force into a brand new trigger made of them. One of those
Only three people can participate in rank wars on a team though. Also wouldnt Hyuse just use his custom trigger, since it isnt a black trigger? Unless it is and I'm just forgetting that4
I dropped it so hard after the invasion arc
>read a chapter now...
>ENDLESS FUCKING TOURNAMENTS...
>Only three people can participate in rank wars on a team
When did it say that? Arashiyama has four team members and participates in rank wars. In fact, they've pointed out how their ranking improved after having Kitora join/become their ace.
Huh didn't think about that. I took it just from the context of no team we've seen in the B rank wars have more than 4 members. Is there even another team in A rank with more than 3 combat members other than Arashiyama? Unless Jin is now a part of Tamakoma 1 but I don't think so considering he always operates independently even after dropping to A rank
It's probably one or two bored persons.
WT isn't popular enough to draw any particular amount of ire.
Miwa squad. One all rounder, one attacker, two snipers.
We haven't seen too many full A Rank squads, though.
Oh, and Ninomiya squad used to have four members, counting Hatohara.
Well fuck me. It must be limited to A rank then. Probably something to do with the fact that A rank squads are relied upon for high combat situations where the extra member greatly increases their squad ability.
Surprised this thread lasted so long
Posting best girl to bully
>hating on the B-rank wars
is not sameface actually
its more like, sameexpressions
i love WT but i have to admit that
