good morning /a/, I hope you are having a great day.
Let's post some classic, nostalgic or enka music. (OP,ED, special tracks etc)
old songs are unappreciated, so I'll start with some of my favorites.
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm14256700
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b0XgHlI47FM
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hNEManmwiY8
Can't remember if they played it in the anime adaptation but I always liked https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jkP3q0Q0Hvs , too bad it's so short though
Monitoring this thread. Feels like enka songs in anime are pretty rare

Tsukikage Ran!
this is the first time I see someone in /a/ post it. I love you OP just for posting that.
here's the alternative if anon doesn't have NND account.
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x9090v_tsukikage-ran-op_shortfilms
Enka is so seriously rare.

No problem anons! they are indeed rare.
I'll post a couple enka if I can find.

(this one is that eva song, but did you know it's one of the most popular graduation/celebration song in Japan?)

nuuu
this is the prayer song from Gintama. Play after most funeral.

I remember this one, I think Madao's seiyu did a special karaoke for this song before.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dzJ_FwWlZag
This is needed. Macross is always needed

The only Enka-related singer I ever got into is Nakajima Miyuki.
I listen to a lot of Japanese non-animu music, but most of the Japanese artists I'm into are from 90's or later though.
Oh I guess Togawa Jun also started in the 80's:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=txjRyAJkfdE
One problem is that it's kinda hard to find downloads for a lot of older stuff.
For example I love this song:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wi2t6_ZSryI
but I wasn't able to find any albums of the band. And their music was actually covered by multiple anime, so they're kinda popular.
>>135550319
I don't have a clear preference for oldies or modern J-music but I love collecting variety of songs specifically during that period of time.
>nakajima
Me too!! Nakajima is an legendary classic of Asia. I don't think most people who grew up in Asia have never grow up hearing her song at least once.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bvk84_iuLKI
I dont know much of the 70s songs but late 80s and 90s have the most nostalgic tune.

SHI-NO-BU
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3IOw88Wi4C0
anyone know the orginal song?
is there even one?
>>135550319
it's almost impossible to get a whole album online, even if you learn moon. Sadly I convert video to mp3 for most of my old japanese songs.
Isao Sasaki from Yamato 2199

on the /jp/ there are decent good threads on about nip vintage music sometimeyou should go and check there's some decert music
sorry I don't want to make them look bad, pleae go check its true, don't mind me
>>135553630
if only /jp/ was more "culture" and less of wotas pandering. My last J-drama thread barely made it to the thrid post.. But it's "otaku" culture after all.
>>135554116
its a mixed bag of shit but the people that make threads about consistent stuff are seriously dedicated, i reassure you i never had insighted discussions about japanese media visual culuture like in /jp/, its really like sailing into poop to search a sngle pearl island but the times it happems it is worthy. /jp/ made me really happy sometimes, surprisingly.
you have to consider every thread as a stand aklone thing, in fact the different demographics ( its legit to call it like that because age plays an extra huge role) doesn't really interact between themselves on the board, they actually are pretty insufferable to eachother and they're right, because thosze shitty last minute monstergirls or kancolle shit fans are indeed terrible, not much for their ip of choice but for impostation in judging pruducts, they gobble down everything and didn't really develop critic sense in commercial art, that was something endemic in the losrt years of when akihabara was actually akihabara and not a governmebt tourist trap for exports
/jp/ has retro threads occasionally, you would probably have better luck there. They're mostly 80's japanese pop culture but sometimes it goes back earlier.
>>135552585
