>one punch shit
>non non shit
I think we all know what the real AOTY is, hint: it's
Where the fuck are the subs?
I have watched every movie and series of Lupin and I still can't find any god damn subs.
This is ridicilous, this is Lupin the third not the Wolverine anime.
I knew this thread was shitposting just from the catalog but godamn
No, we have already unanimously agreed that Non Non Biyori Repeat is AOTY.
Go back to /v/.
>praising Lupin III
>while calling every other anime shit
>posting blue jacket instead of green or pink
Why couldn't Lupin have been more like the first half of the original anime?
I've only seen the original series and CaC. Can I watch Daisuke Jigen's gravestone without watching the other series, and the other films?
Daisuke Jigen's Gravestone is ostensibly the continuation to The Woman Called Fujiko Mine but like always, continuity doesn't mean anything and all you really get out of it is the sense that this particular Lupin and Jigen's partnership is still fairly young.
There's really no continuity in Lupin beyond the rare times Red Jacket referenced a Green Jacket story, not to mention the dozens of origin stories that the cast has.
Blue Jacket Lupin is deliberately portrayed as younger and not quite as worldly, but it's not like it means it's a prequel to everything else, much like "Fujiko Mine" is another origin story but doesn't supersede all the other stories.
Castle of Cagliostro is basically Lupin's All-Star Superman. It's him in the twilight of his career. He's not a lascivious criminal quite willing to resort to gunning down anybody in his way or rape and brutally murder someone, he's more of a classic gentlemanly rogue.
Napoleon's Dictionary is just a regular TV special. You want an origin story, there's always Episode 0 but even that one is just as ambiguous about being the definitive version of the story.
Start with Green Jacket series so as to get a general idea, move to films, then OVAs and tv films, red and pink jacket series can come in between because they're
funnier, A woman called Fujiko Mine and Blue jacket are grittier could be treated like alternate versions.
Just watch the TV series in production order(Green, Red, Pink) if you want to just get into the meat of the experience. There's really no "Must view in this order" since there's not much in the way of canon that they're constantly referencing.
>implying Shirou is a good MC
He's not even the best TYPE-MOON MC.
I meant it like this:
>Lupin II burned out the Lupin estate, motivating Lupin III to steal, pillage and plunder everything in his path.
>Then comes a point in his career where he is actually bested and humiliated, marking his change from a scoundrel to a true gentleman thief.
The ending is just a bonus after said change, possibly heralding his change of personality (and jacket color).
I liked the first green Jacket series,
I bought a watch because of the first episodejust wondering if there's any films or such I could watch when I'm bored or wanting to relax.
>just wondering if there's any films or such I could watch when I'm bored or wanting to relax.
Considering there's literally hundreds of Lupin III TV episodes, over a dozen TV specials, etc., you really aren't wanting for anything.
Why didn't they give Miyazaki to make another Lupin movie? Does he hate Lupin as any other anime?
How do you spell Keit-Ai in Japanese?
Cagliostro at the time didn't perform particularly well.
Watch the Secret of the Fuuma clan or something movie though. It had members of Cagliostro's animation team, and I think the influences are pretty clear even though the movie isn't a Cagliostro rip-off at all.
People often get mad when I say this, but I've never considered Cagliostro to be a "real" part of the Lupin series at all.
It's just a Miyazaki move that happened to co-opt the character designs and some very basic traits of the Lupin cast, but otherwise bears little resemblance to it.
Man, I need to go back and rewatch this whole series, I can't even remember which movie was my favorite anymore.
The main issue is that Cagliostro takes place 10 years after Green Jacket (there's a flashback in the movie). It's clearly supposed to take place even after the red jacket series, in spite of the jacket color.
Eh, Cagliostro aired alongside the Red Jacket series, and Lupin's characterization was horribly inconsistent there.
At the very least Cagliostro has Lupin being older as an explanation for him acting differently. Depending on the episode of Red Jacket, there were pearls like this one, where they refused to acknowledge previous darker Lupin stories, even from the same series.
WHERE THE FUCK AM I SUPPOSED TO WATCH THIS ANIME HOLY SHITTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The only lupin related stuff I ever watched was that one conan movie, I would like to continue.
Recently finished watching the original series (my first ever experience watching anything Lupin)
It was pretty good. Most episodes were pretty fun and easy to just put on and chill too. There were a couple that were super boring and a bit of a chore to make it through but overall pretty good.
So it's basically a fact that based Jigen
is the best guy right?
We may have finally gotten a simulcast, but I'll never forget your heroic efforts, itali/a/non.
Nobody knows the anime exists, due to some licensing issue places like crunchyroll haven't picked it up so there for hs hasn't subbed it in turn nobody advertises it and no merch gets sold
>People in this thread who legitimately don't like Lupin
I'm sad i have to share a planet with you people. Lupin has
1. Good thought provoking logical approaches that are sometimes impossible but still interesting.
2. Charming characters that you can't hate except maybe Fujiko because shes a teasing bitch
3. A great foundation to build different plots on over and over again
4. Great music and a rigged but charming art style.
Sad really. Go back to praising one joke man or whatever moe shit you enjoy. You just can't enjoy anything if its not man child level DBZ fight scenes or little girls.
I know focusing on fujiko was the point but the ending kinda bothered me
really liked the art and hope to see secret of mamon remake soon, or did the creator of fujiko not do jiigen daisukes gravestone?
wait.. where are the fucking tasteless faggots who dont like Lupin. How the fuck is that even possible? He's the most entertaining MC in all of anime and is more important to the art than whatever shitty show you like.
What's the problem with italian dub
It was somehow refreshing, didn't bother me at all
>What does that even mean?
Cultural Marxism is an ideology which emphasizes culture as a main cause of inequalities. It takes the Marxist method of economic analysis, and applies it to sociology.
It was formulated by the Frankfurt School of social theory and philosophy, and championed by the Fabians.
It now dominates academia.
What a good and comfy episode, one of the most enjoyables of this season for me.
Cultural marxism is a term used by people who are dumb enough to think it's actually a thing, but smart enough to know you look like a buffoon blaming everything on Jews and minorities.
Thank you guys. I just found out. I guess I'll sub the last episodes in italian and maybe do a fast release of japanese episode 14 (which is going to be a good one by the way, even though it has this series' bad habit of having a milion plot twists in the same episode).
I'm glad, with episode 13 the dub was REALLY starting to drift away from the original (rewritten dialogue, censorship of the death penalty even though it was on screen which is silly). The second cour deserves a proper translation. It's so fun.
>fujos can't even be counted on to do their usual Jigen/Goemon song and dance
Let's just burn it all down.
