It was one of my favorite shows as far as I can remember, though 2015 was pretty shit in general. At the very least it was very well done (animation, directing, etc.) Even if you dislike Kyoani for their 'cute girls doing cute things' reputation, you have to admit that they do have talent.

Also why are OPM fags so invasive and hostile? Usually I'm against voicing your dislike for popular stuff (or stuff in general), even if you dislike it, because it won't contribute anything, but its fans really shouldn't be surprised by all the hate they receive when there is such an abundance of annoying and spiteful vocal fans.
I wouldn't mind if they'd just kept it within their threads, but lately it feels like its fandom became cancerous to a point where I can barely find a thread that does not have someone mentioning how Saitama can beat up everyone else or how it's the best Anime ever. I even knew all of the characters' names even before giving the Anime a try.

Not really. I feel like it only got as much attention as it did because of the studio. Looking at it impartially, the pacing dragged, it was stuffed with yuri bait which comes off as a desperate grab for sales, and a lot of the drama was pointless and stupid.the overlarge cast meant a lot of characters got sidelined and it made it hard to care about a character quitting the band or not getting a part when they had previously only had like 10 seconds of screen time and one line. The bulk of the band are also portrayed as idiots and by the end I kind of want them to fail after all the stupid shit they pulled.

Not to say it was all bad. The animation was nice, the music was great, and it had a couple of great characters.

Overall though the series wasn't all that great and definitely not AOTY.

Comfy, and the extra bit with Ribbons and Natsuki was cute. Hazuki and Midori don't do much for me, but it was some nice development for them, especially since they dropped off the screen a bit toward the end of S1 as Reina became more prominent.

I dunno, Eupho is just very obviously the best show this year, for me at least. I liked Somera-chan because I think Imazaki's a genius. His direction and art puts a warped perspective on the source humour and makes for an awesome show, same with AMM. One of my favourite "auteur" directors in anime right now.
NNBR was definitely enjoyable, but I didn't see it as much more than that. Like, it was funny and sweet, but didn't do anything particularly interesting that makes it stand out. Some good moments like episode 4 were there, but were very isolated from the rest of the show. Just less cohesive, more obviously a 4koma adaption than something like K-On!. Honestly, K-On! set the bar too high and I prolly judge too harshly. I didn't watch Hackadoll.

Ribbon stirred up shit for no reason. There was no reason to suspect nepotism because Reina was a better player, and everyone knew it, even prior to the second audition.

It was more of a confluence of issues than just one. Taki was a new teacher, and he was changing the structure of the band dramatically, leading to some level of resentment among the band members, Ribbons clearly included. Additionally, the suspected nepotism is not unreasonable given Reina and Taki's personal connections. Remember, it can be nepotism even if the person getting the position deserves the part. Kaori not getting the part last year because of seniority was another factor. Finally, Ribbons actions end up being for the best as it resolves any lingering doubts as to whether Reina deserved the part and establishes Taki as a fair conductor.
