OHH, SO NON DES KERRR?
Even if you start out with Kate, you likely won't get any replies because this isn't a popular show. I just wanna thank the heavens that the manga was picked up again.
I know that, but I still want Kate to have some scene.
Oh man I'm craving some Sketchbook right now
I watched the anime just for Kate and didn't reach her. When does she show up? I think I stopped at like episode 4 or 5.
It's a joke that Europeans/Americans can't speak Japanese without sounding weird.
The art club series don't get too much love outside of Hidamari. They need more love
Thanks for the thread OP, so much love for this series.
Figured I'd share this with you guys:
I feel that Sketchbook's a bit dry compared to GA and Hidamari Sketch.
I believe Sketchbook is caught in time which makes it just seem like watching still life paintings.
But in GA and Hidamari time progresses, which gives the shows a stronger sense of development. And among these two, GA focuses more on art technique while Hidamari is more keen on relationships.
Each of them are nice, but they utilize different styles.
There's definitely character development in GA, sometimes more so than Hidamari Sketch.
I'm so fucking sick of this bullshit that mangaka pull.
A Canadian girl falls in love with Japan.
Unable to confess, she is gifted by a deus ex machina with Japan's phone number. Never minding the strange area code, she immediately calls the country, and is overjoyed to find out that Nihon has a crush on her as well.
But, the next day, when she recounts the previous day's confessions to Japan, she gets no response because Japan is a country, not a person. After some investigation, she finds out that the nation she called is not the same nation she fell in love with. In fact, this Japan doesn't exist in her universe at all. This Nihon is the alternate universe counterpart of her crush, who has fallen in love with her AU self, who too is blissfully unaware of his crush.
After finding out, she slammed her fist into ther palm and said, "SOU NAN DES KARR." Hijinks ensue as they strike up a deal to give each other their darkest, most private secrets in order to equip each other with the weapons they need to conquer the heart of their other selves. While the two chase their respective loved ones, DRAMA ensues as they begin to fall in love with each other instead and question the NATURE of WEEABOO.
Much better than all the Keitai variations I've seen so far.
>But the early part of Hidamari manga was caught in a time loop too.
Pretty sure it's just achronological
It might as well been when there's no sense of time passing.
Don't you have anything better to do than argue what my point was supposed to be? I just wanted to talk about Hidamari.
>it might as well be
Go ahead but don't get embarrassed when your theory was shown to not hold any water.
Here, have some more Hiro blowing
>spouting logical fallacies where they don't belong
Time to stop posting, child.
Just reciprocating mate. No need to get so accusative.
I'll be honest lads.
I'm going through the manga, and it's fucking hideous.
Chapter 1 especially, but I'm like 50 chapters in and it's not much better. Every-one is gangly, and the proportions are inconsistent.
But it's a 4koma manga, hardly the most graphic or novel genre of comics. I think the art is "good enough", and the jokes work graphically too, so it's not funny just because it's written well.
Probably got married and settled down finally.
Everyone has a particular mental illness.
Well, we didn't have a late-year GA thread this time, but at least we have Sketchbook, that's one series that doesn't get quite enough love. Suzukaze combo best girls of all time.
P.s. still translating the GA VN, but lacking manpower (and motivation, somewhat).
They're just different. Sketchbook is healing, GA is pure comedy, Hidamari is lewd and somewhat in-between otherwise.
There you are you gay wad. We still have 4 more days so either that or we make a GA date now.
Search GA on Amazon, should be there.
