Personally I liked how unique that anime was. I watched LOGH when I was somewhere at 400+ watched count and it was my first real space opera with no special snowflake bullshitery. Honestly as far as anime goes logh is one of it's kind and that makes it worth to watch. On the other hand if you are a newfriend then don't bother, watch something else. You most likely won't enjoy it.

Ok, I phrased it wrong. I meant it in superpower way, there is no character in logh that wins the battles on his own, see Suzaku in Code Geass and such. Most battle oriented series have some kind of broken special snowflake character that just shits on everyone with plot armor and bunch of useless background faggots.
In logh almost everyone is a background faggot and the only special snowflakes are strategists - which makes sense, since people responsible for tactics should be the ones influencing battle. That's what I meant.
