No, practically all episodes are very good written and enjoyable regardless of how "filler" they are. You can skip one episode about Chibiusa and dino island in season two though.

Manga goes straight to the point, it's a tragic magical girl genre. Anime downs that a lot in exchange of SoL antics and monster of the week episodes and a lots of punch clock villains.

The Sailor Moon manga is mediocre as all hell. Don't skip any of the anime episodes; they're what makes SM so good. A lot of the charm and personality comes from those episodes.

I understand that you are trying to be helpful towards anon but this just doesn't fly anymore and it's irritating to me that a manga like sailor moon is still considered a godsend and Madoka Magica TV is given the same sort of praise for this fast pace. The very fact that the manga has this trait is more of a detriment than something in its favor. SMC shows the glaring flaws of the manga because of this. When a show is quickly paced, something is lost pertaining to characters and plot. It's He reason why compilation movies feel so empty and hollow unless you are a diehard fan.

I'd say CCS is a better story and is told better, but there are good reasons why SM is more popular.

Being nearly three times as long is a help there, but it also has more memorable moments. Including season end tragic stuff, goofy shit, and a host of memorable girls, villains, and monsters. CCS is a lot more grounded when it comes to that.

Naw, that ain't gonna happen. The anime is the darling of Sailor Moon.

The only filler you should probably drop are those in the first ~20 episodes, which there are a lot of. Save those until after you watch the series.

I noticed in the first arc of season 2 that they were going to make one episode for each senshi in which they would get a new attack, so I knew nothing was going to happen for the next 3 episodes, which I guess made those episodes a little less fun to watch, but I don't suggest skipping them.

Towards the end of the first half of season 3, I got a little desperate for the plot to move on. Maybe 3-6 of those episodes could be skipped. I am not sure which ones would be best though.

The rest of the series is filler free from my point of view.
