On the other hand I think he really did nothing for Niea aside from the character design and it was mostly a Triangle show.

Texhnolyze and Lain are both good sci-fi dramas, although tex is more of a thriller.
Haibane is just weird.
And Niea has barely anything to do with it, it's just a goofy comedy with a little existentialism.
