The explody parts were good, the talky parts, not so much.

The whole thing about cyborgs becoming obsolete was great and reminded me of Deus Ex but they didn't focus much on it so it felt like a waste

For some idiotic reason AA is not in chronological orden and it really doesn't help with the story telling at all since it was not meant to be like that from the begining.

Still haven't seen Arise. Can't get over visuals and more important no Origa

I'd say the OVAs + AAA's Pyrophoric Cult but in this order (the order AAA was broadcast in)
Ghost Stands Alone (OVA 4)
Ghost Pain (OVA 1)
Ghost Whispers (OVA 2)
Ghost Tears (OVA 3)
Pyrophoric Cult (AAA 9 &10)

The AAA versions of the OVAs are cut a tad short to fit into broadcast length. I really, really like the order though.

I actually disagree, having the story get book-ended by Ghost Stands Alone and the Pyrophoric Cult stories is really nice as it adds to the "mystery" about the Major's missing memories and the whole Firestarter bit.
