I'm pretty sure 4C wanted to do black swordsman the very instance the manga actually progressed, the CGI looking poster seems to support that. I honestly don't mind, the first two movies were fairly shit looking but the third was actually pretty good, especially the eclipse. 4C can pull off pretty good fight choreography too when it isn't background cg models flailing against eachother.

They'd make it gorgeous... but I think that'd miss the point of Berserk. Berserk is a lot more than pretty. It's methodically dark in a way i've never seen KyoAni attempt before.
And once again, i've yet to see them properly do a well choreographed action sequence. I'd like to see them try it more often, but i think everyone would feel a bit more comfortable if they stuck to what we all know they're fantastic at.


Still... I wouldn't mind seeing Schierke with KyoAni's cute eyes, and i'd love for it to be animated with all the consistent depth of field and fluidity KyoAni is soo good at using.
